Y Tu Piña También in Antigua Guatemala
Description
Great place for a cute breakfast in Antigua
Yummy breakfast. I wanted something a little different. The virgin piña colada smoothie was excellent. The bread was curious, but oddly delicious. It was sort of sweet and a bit crumbly. Had the Mediterranean breakfast. Had to try the sausage which turned out to be a patty but was very tasty. Ive heard of Randys Sausage but havent found it before. Service was superb. The host / server checked on me a few times.
MoreLovely place with great food for a good price. We had “the tits” for breakfast, yummy!
MoreHave eaten here on a few occasions, every time the food is delishous, great service, wide range of choices and fantastic coffee. One of our favourite breakfast spots in Antigua
MoreDefinitely one of THE BEST brunches in Antigua! The plates are simple, tasty, not too complicated, perfectly seasoned and balanced. We loved everything about our food!Thank you! 5/5
MoreThe best breakfast in Antigua!!
Really nice cafe! The jerk chicken was really nice. Highly recommend 😃
The food us wonderful. The staff is fast and friendly
Best place for breakfast in Antigua...great coffee, trendy place, delicious food. Try the Avocado Toast especially.
MoreSuch a cute, little calm place to have breakfast alone or with friends or family. Beautiful music and vintage decor! Theres a little art gallery you can look at and the art is local even for sale! The food was very good, filling but not overwhelmingly filling 🧡🧡 the restaurant feels like what a "Saturday morning cleaning" would be. Energetic Funk, Blues, Jazz and Reggae music 10/10 recommend 🥰!
MoreSuper nice place with great and yummy food options. Loved it, highly recommended
On the expensive side / 10% service charge added to bill - no need to do that. Food was fine
MoreIts no longer the same as the old Y tu pina también"...That was cosy and cheapNow the charm has gone and its way too pricey
MoreThis was our favorite place to eat in Antigua. The laid back vibe, quiet street, and of course finessed food really were a stand out. And the service was top notch!
MoreAmazing food, great service and the cutest place
Chill atmosphere, delicious breakfast and smoothies, good mix of Guatemalan and western dishes.
MoreWe just showed up for a drink, WiFi and a restroom stop but the place was great! We just had smoothies but would love to return for food.
MoreGreat Caffe, with unique atmosphere..
What a gem of a place! Food, ambiance, music and service surpassed my expectations!!
MoreBest little breakfast joint in Antigua. Sometimes we walk over just for the smoothies.Chill vibes, free WiFi, and everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious.
MoreChill atmosphere, delicious food, coffee, and smoothies. Great expat hangout.A must for breakfast - get the Wake Up Call smoothie (chocolate, avacado, banana, espresso)
MoreExtremely small food portions with high prices. The most misserable sandwich Ive seen in my life. And on top of that, the food tasted mediocre. Go someplace else!
MoreAmazing Burritos! Top 3 breakfast sppt in Antigua with attentive staff. Great vibe, music and coffee.
MoreThis is my go to as someone who comes to Antigua from the US multiple times a year. Their breakfasts and coffee are fantastic, service always good and they have solid WiFi. 👍🏻👍🏻
MoreNice little cafe with a western hipster vibe and menu, and plenty of vegetarian options including avocado on toast. We enjoyed the friendly and well decorated atmosphere, but the food took a while to come and was just ok.
MoreA cute little cafe in the heart of La Antigua! Gorgeous place, with fantastic ambience, great music, delicious authentic cuisine and an unassuming staff. We LOVED this cafe for breakfast/brunch. Clean with art deco decor, a little retro with a lounge vibe. Perfect for giving your feet a rest from the cobble stones. The smoothies are cold, refreshing and delicious! We had the avocado toast, avocado salad and the breakfast sandwich - all were scrumptious and perfect!!!!I highly recommend Y tu Piña También!
MoreCute place and friendly enough service but my coffee didnt taste good. Couldnt drink it. Hopefully it was just a once off.
MoreDecent Latin breakfast dishes served with humor and snarky casual attitude. Popular with travelers. Every one spoke good English.
MoreI was really excited to try this restaurant based on reviews and photos. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. The first time I stopped by it was 30 minutes after the posted opening time but the doors were still closed and locked. We heard people inside and were eventually able to speak with someone through the window who told us they were closed for a special event. They could have (and should haveeasily posted a note on the outside of the door letting people know this was the case.I tried to go by a second time in the middle of the afternoon (3-4 hours before the posted closing time). There were guests seated and eating. There were multiple other customers standing waiting. There were a few employees in the back and behind the bar. When we asked if we ordered at the bar or at the table, we were told “oh we are closed...” to which we looked around, confused, and finally left.Maybe if you can actually find a time when they are open and will serve you, you will find the food delicious and the service good. Unfortunately this was not my experience.
MoreAwesome litte cafe with great breakfast options and Smoothies! They also sell Banana Bread to take away for like 10Q
MoreGood breakfast and great coffee in a lovely decorated place
Very tourist-friendly. The waitress spoke fluent English, the menu was in English, the wifi was fast and free, and there were lots of vegan and gluten free options. Nice ambience. Pineapple pancakes were tasty and cafe was well decorated. Not the cheapest breakfast in Antigua, but still pretty good. Lots of options for smoothies that are quite tasty.
MoreReally friendly, laid back place.
Exceptional salads. Their Tropical Storm smoothie has perfectly balanced flavors. Good coffee.
Morethis place was amazing, can’t wait to go back to fuel up before our hike! impressive menu with tasty food and delicious smoothies
MoreI love this place! I went there 4 times during my stay for both breakfast and lunch. I absolutely love their PB&Jelly smoothie and their vegetable tostada.
MoreLove the smoothies and service here. Top notch all around
This place is amazing we went there so much in one week they knew our names. The egg and avo sandwich changed my life I still have dreams about it. Im going to go home and try and to recreate that sandwich but I know it wont be the same. I have thought about moving to Antigua just so I can go to Y Tu Pina Tambien everyday.
MoreRelaxed atmosphere, good food and spectacular juices.
Delicious French toast, tasty egg muffin sandwich, yummy Tropical Storm smoothie. Hideously dry zucchini cranberry muffin--I couldnt eat more than a bite. Otherwise they only offered a carrot bread and some gf brownie or such. The cafe latte was just ok. The lack of real pastries and the so=so coffee are sad because the sign outside lures with "pastries & coffee = happy."Bumping up my review to four stars and editing: Ive been a few more times because its right next to my Airbnb and open at 7 (many cafes not open till later). The lattes have been better since my first one and the iced one today was very good. Had the Pinche Gringo breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and small OJand it was a good value.Still looking for a top-notch coffee shop and/or great pastry shop but this is a good place for coffee and breakfast. Havent tried it for lunch yet but the list of sandwiches looks good.
MoreGood place for breakfast. Friendly staff, good coffee and nice cozy atmosphere. Good selection of delecious foods. Came here first because of the deal my hostel had with them, but just loved coming back. It is also great they open early in the morning so you can get a breakfast and/or packed lunch when you have an early shuttle.
MoreTHERES A NICE PLACE FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL ENJOYMENT ANDTHE GARDEN TEACHINGS...DELP.S. NO SE IS PART OFTHE GARDEN TEACHINGS..A HOME SCHOOL THAT INTRODUCES ONE TO THE HIGHER LEARNINGS OFLIFES FINER GIFTS.....SUCH AS THE SUBTLE JOYS ONEENJOYS AT THE NO SE LOUNGE..THANKS, J.R. FOR YOUR CREATION..
MoreGreat place for breakfast and great coffee. The staff is nice and pleasant. Which is great first thing in the morning. I hate cranky coffee people. But you wont get that here. Cool vibe with a large back room. Right on the corner next to my Spanish classes. A great way to start the day.
MoreSimply good coffee and breakfast spot. Nice staff.
Great place for breakfast and fruit drinks. Very relaxed atmosphere and staff.
Only went for a smoothie but was pretty disappointed when I got a warm rather small drink for almost what I could pay for one a lot bigger somewhere else or a bit fancier down at Samsara. Atmosphere was ok and never tried the food but heard it was good. For all the hype it was just ok.
MoreOne of the best coffees Ive tried. And it is local from the fields of Antigua. The food is very lovely
MoreCute place! I had breakfast here today. I had a simple egg/black bean/potatoes dish but it was really good & 35 quetzales. Wifi was super fast as well.
MoreThis is not only the best cafe in Antigua, I consider it to be the best cafe ive ever frequented. The food is excellent and the atmosphere as authentic as can be, but mostly it attracts interesting people and they attract more interesting people. It is an indispensable center to the 1ra Avenida nexus. Highly reccomended.
MoreGreat coffee and cheap, good breakfast. Didnt eat the sandwiches but they looked awesome. Must try
