Y-Knot - Bar & grill in Kingston, Jamaica
Nice chill spot. Great fish meals available, perfectly cooked. Drinks and music available as well a place in the shadow. Nice view to the yacht marina and the boat station to the island Lime Cay.
Very easy going settings with impeccable service. So very relaxing
A real exotic Caribbean experience awaits. Sea lovers will feel really comfortable here with all those yachts in the background helping to form a really unique ambience. The management will do well to fix the parking lot since it’s the first thing that greets visitors. It can be easily mistaken for a forgotten junkyard. A larger welcoming sign and some beautiful plants in place will make a big difference!
Was not open when we arrived. Also they werent taking tours on that day. I recommend trying Friday and Saturday. If they arent taking tours. Go to the fisher men in port royal. They will take you Please wear your life jackets. If you do get to lime clay or the other islands its worth it.
I really good hang out spot, away from all the hustle and bustle. Food is good and views even better.
Nice quiet spot by the sea side with awesome seafood
I called ahead and made a reservation for 4 PM. Arrived on time, however, no empty tables in sight; add to that, only 1 table appeared till be dining. All other tables were just waiting. We observed, one server and one hostess. After standing around for a few minutes, I approached the hostess. Otherwise we never would have been greeted. It took thirty minutes later for a table to be set up for us to sit.Needless to say after assessing the situation we realized it would take hours for us to be served so we left. The space is nice, in cooler temperatures the sunset and ambiance would be worth the wait.
The ambience is very relax and chill. You can eat and listen to the crash of waves on the bay. Very relaxing in my opinionAn interesting fact, is that is the place you must go if you want to take the boat excursion to the famous Lime Cay , a “beach in the middle of the sea”
Great food, good service, rustic nice ambiance
“It’s not my fault” & “it’s not my job” are what you can expect in this place!! When you are bold enough to be charging USA prices you do not expect such poor service and disinterest in any feedback. AVOID at all costs!
Very relaxing and its nice to get away from the hustle n bustle of the city
Food, atmosphere is amazing. Trips to and from lime cay and friendly staff. Would highly recommend
Great customer service and good food
Excellent food and great prices. Also the best way to get to Lime Quay.
Its unbelievably romantic, the waves rushing to the shore. The lights on the water,The stars in the sky,The wooden deck, the Appleton Rum and of course your partner. Its an experience you cannot miss
Nice little chill spot. Good vibe, people and food.
Rustic, but nice chill spot to hang.
A chill spot for a meal and a drink. A rustic setting with energetic, cheerful staff.
This is a relaxing place to spend on the wodden dock, overlooking the harbour.the owners are extremely nice and serve good beer and appetisers, calamary, muscles, lobster. I really enjoy being here.
Lovely rustic by the sea setting with good sea food and excellent service.
Beautiful place to relax and have a bite to eat
Great atmosphere and relaxation spot, really quiet. Its really cool and breezy especially in the afternoon and evening hours.Great spot to have a spontaneous stop if on the road with friends.
Good food, great price and so relaxing.
Great experience, wonderful ambience and great food. The drunken mussels and calamari were special. Make sure and dress appropriately to deal with the mosquitoes and sand flies. But worth the couple bites.
Very rustic....Great food and service
The food was very good. The service was relaxingly prompt.
Was a little hard to find but a great hang out spot by the waters.
Restaurant and Bar. Great place to chill with a drink and a delicious meal! Really liked the salt and pepper calamari the last time I was there. The fried and steamed fish is also really good! Lovely ambiance and sunsets. Boat rides to and from Lime Cay and Maiden Cay available but currently halted due to Covid. Listen out for the reopening date in the media.
Beutiful relaxing place to be in the afternoon for a meal or the bar.
Friendly Staff, Awesome food and great ambiance..
Ambiance was lovely.....the sound of the wave crashing in along with the beautiful view of the sea. The food was also great
Ideal setting 🛥Great Food❗Beautiful View of Kingston
Fabulous bar so friendly only a short stroll from the cruise terminal 👍👍
Went by Sea Taxi to Line Cay. Clean clear water. Beach good. Take own towels chairs etc
Best way to the cays if you dont own a boat
We took a trip over to Lime cay. Y-Knot is the spot to pay $1500 Jamaica to get over by boat to Lime cay. Its about a 10 -15 minute trip, gives you a chance to see the Jamaica navy port along with the historical Port royal from the sea. #parrijamaica
Quite rustic, with not the best facilities, but if your objective is to get to Lime Cay safely and back and have some good fish when you return to the mainland, this place fits the bill.
Had a little wait for our boat food may be ordered there and delivered to Lime Cay. We ordered escoveitched fish and lobster bammy festival and jerked chicken. The food was good and fresh and tasty.
Lime Cay is amazing, boat ride not so much and the food needs some love but good prices though.
Its a cosy enough spot to sit and wait for the boat ride to Lime Cay. There is a bar to have drink if you need to wait for the boat. While I didnt use it myself they do have a service in place that allows you to order food from the mainland from the island ( Lime Cay); and they bring it back on the next boat. (This service might only be on certain days*)The schedule is fairly flexible. You tell the boatman/captain what hour you want to be picked up ( 2pm,3pm...).On a side note, its worth mentioning phone service on the island is pretty good (4g too).
Loved it... we were able to place our lunch order and it was delivered to Lime Key. Nigel is the best.
I have taken two trips to Lime Cay with Y-Knot and both times have been great. A ride from Kingston to Port Royal will cost around 1500 JMD one way which is not terrible. Boat rides to Lime Cay cost another 1500 JMD for a round trip. Boats leave every 30-60 minutes depending on the amount of people. Their boats are safe and life vests are provided. Food can be ordered once on the island and is brought on the next boat. Lime Cay does not have any facilities so please keep this in mind. Bring trash bags to keep the island clean if you decide to go.
Best place to chill out in historical Port Royal and/or grab a sea shuttle to Lime Cay (my favorite beach in Kingston). Freshly caught seafood cooked to order in traditional Jamaican style. What else could one ask for.
We took a boat yo get to the island the ride lasted about 15minutes... The beach was nice... Would be wise for u to bring your own food when going. Even tho u can order food n they bring it to u the food isnt so great.
The view was nice
Was a good experience. Captain was friendly and helpful. There were regular trips. Affordable and comfortable.
Whether going to Lime Cay or just hanging around for drinks or a bite to eat Y knot is one cool little spot in Port Royal. Food is tasty and service is good. They will also accommodate special requests for boat trips.
Great views and vibe, friendly service and the perfect place to catch a ride to Lime Cay.
Good food by the sea, beer cold just to enjoyment, with the opportunity of traveling to the cay via the frequent boats that comes and goes. It was a great experience, something Id repeat.
Nice Rustic setting to have drink by the sea in a town with a renown history. Boats are also available to take trips across to the Cays.
