Xhamia e Plumbit - Mosque in Puke, Albania
Xhamia e Plumbit in Puke
Description
Gjami E vjeter me shum vlera kulturore te mahniteshme. Duhet bere restaurim.
MoreIn the past it used to be one of the most beautiful mosques in Albania and this is why I consider it worth a visit. Unfortunately it hasn’t been renovated yet and still remains a far cry of its past glory.

MoreThis place is great
MoreA charming historical mosque worth seeing if youre in the area. You can come here if youre visiting the Rozafa Castle, its very close (walking distance).Alternatively, theres a clearing right next to the mosque where you can park your car. Take care though, the roads leading there are a bit narrow.
MoreFantastic place 😁
MoreOnly good for a historical visit and to pray one or two Salah. You wont find any Toilet in here, which is a very big deal.No place to do wadu, just a tap installed, which make it quite difficult to perform Wadu. The Masjid (Mosqueitself is also not well maintained or should I say, preserved. The carpet, the interior, the exterior are in extreme poor condition.Furthermore, because of the river nearby and the standing water around the Masjid, you will be greeted with number of mosquitoes. On the plus side, I was greeted with a local man, who lives right beside the Masjid. And then I experienced the very best piece of Hospitality ever. He invited me home and while I used the Toilet and performed Wadu, he prepared the whole lunch for me, he was even about to Slaughter his duck to make food for me, which I have to stop him forcefully though 🙈😂🤣. Then he gave me pomegranate, grapes, apples from his farm 🙏🏻🥰❤️
MoreA cool mosque on the outskirts of town. Worth a visit if you’re interested. Plenty of parking, and don’t be afraid of the road coming in from the main highway - you’ll make it.
MorePretty place for a few minutes. If you visit the castle, this is very close and quite attactive. Kind of abandoned, so you can go in and have a look.
MoreAncient place
MoreVery beautiful historical Masjid! it look like it’s missing it’s menarate but the rest of the structure is in good shape.
MoreWe were shown great hospitality by the host Abdul when visiting this peaceful historical mosque located outside Shkoder.
MoreOk
An Ottoman architectury mosque from 18th century. They also called it Lead Mosque because the domes covered with lead. Nothing special inside but the view from Rozafa is amazing! The round of mosque covered with water and you need a bridge to visit inside. Nice for a quick visit...
MoreXhamia e Plumbit in Shkodra is a landmark of city. It is very old and interesting place. It is situated in a area where time to time water overload it. This Xhami is a masterpiece. MoreIt is under the fortress. The mosque is very old and is operational. If you go from there, its worth it.
Moreinteresting mosque without minaret
A mosque with classical architecture from Ottoman Empire.
A pearle of an Ottoman mosque in what once was in the middle of nowhere
Lead Mosque - Classical Ottoman architecture. Originally covered with lead, thus the name.
MoreVery particular.... there is no minaret...
A place to visit when you are in Shkodra!
