Exotic sausages, fries & unusual brews in an industrial-looking eatery with communal tables.
This place is great to meet friends for a drink or some amazing food. You must get the truffle french fries! I think theyre the best Ive ever had. The brats are good The beer is always good and theres a big variety. There are tables in the main dining room where you can sit and draw with a crayon on the paper. This place feels very casual fun but it can get loud sometimes. Theres also a nice outdoor dining area. Parking can be a little tough Im not sure if they have a lot but I typically park on Lincoln and walk over.
Good beer and good sausages, what more do you need? Very nice beer garden.
Attended Oktoberfest here and it was the best time! Amazing band, good food, and delicious fries.
I went to their Oktoberfest event and had a blast! Like a total dummy, I of course lost my ray ban sunglasses in the fray of dancing and drinking. But credit to this place, they managed to find and hold onto them for me!
The glizzlies were delicious but the fries were the highlight of the food. Atmosphere is super chill and laid back if you bring a group of friends. The drinks were a little expensive but they were good. I recommend the Duchess Cherry.
Great sausages and quintessentially Belgian frites. Lots of delicious dipping sauces including a curry ketchup that I want in my fridge. (Where’s the mayo, tho?). The kielbasa was delicious and the patio is basic and beautiful. I’ll be back.
Such an amazing place for beers and delicious hot dogs. The choices of sausages are sooo good. The staff is super friendly and efficient.
The food is good but service and strange restaurant policies ruined the experience. After 9:30 they won’t sell 1L beer but you can order 2 pints which is basically the same thing at the same time. They didn’t have one of the sausages and mistook the order for it as an order for a sauce. The cherry on top was getting 4 napkins for a table of 5!!
Amazing beer and dogs. Would definitely go again.
Sausages here are amazing!! The kielbasa blew me and my husband away 😂 fries are chunky and delicious! Agreed for the chipotle aioli as the sauce to pair them with. I got the hot Italian and it tastes exactly like a hot Italian sandwich!! The flavor profiles are unmatched. The environment is so chill and their music isn’t overwhelming.
Amazing place for many different Belgian and German biers!!! And so many sausages to choose from!! Excellent!!!
Ive been looking for such a place for a long time. Not only the great selection of sausages and unique flavors but their Belgian and German beers is a dream. As a European beer lover - this was a game changer!Im sure Im coming back in the next few weeks for another round.
Absolutely love this place.Ambiance: Very chill vibe. A great place to grab a beer and a quality hotdog with friends. They bring a DJ sometimes! You order at the counter and then bring a number to your table. We like both indoors and outdoors! What we loved: Kielbasa, Louisiana Hot link, Hot Italian all topped with caramelized onions and hot peppers! The fries are also amazing! Try them with the Curry Ketchup or Chipotle Aioli! Our favorite beer there is Reissdorf Kölsch.
Lovely place, excellent back patio for a summer evening. But gluten free folks, be careful! Previously they have has gluten free buns, but that is no longer true. However, if you very very carefully order (make sure they get that gluten free means no bun!then you can still enjoy many of their gluten free sausages, including their veggiewurst. They obviously have a large selection of beer, but also have wine, cider, and cocktails. Very sweet staff.
Authentic and delicious. You have to order your food at the side counter near the bathrooms. Def do not skip the fries. Bratwurst with onions and spicey peppers was what I ordered. 5 stars
Great experience here. Their theme is a mixed traditional German beer hall with modern elements. They have a great selection of German beers and do kolsh flights. The food is also amazing. They serve several different types of sausages. Fries sold separately thought.
Awesome quality sausages, the bread and sauerkraut were perfect, the mustard selection is amazing. Nice spot here in Venice, open indoors with a wide beer selection. Nice outdoor patio eating area.
Service was amazing. I personally loved the rattlesnake hot dog.
Wirstkuche is a true gem in the Santa Monica area near the venice border. The variety of sausage options are superb and they have the BEST FRIES you will ever taste. Kick the fries up a notch by adding the White Truffle oil.The staff is knowledgeable about the beer there and really help you pair your meal perfectly. The concept of Wurstkuche is genius and well delivered. Its in my list of favorite Small Business shops.
Friend recommended this establishment, my Pheasant sausage dog was well done as requested, hot thick cut fries, all good! Im not a fan of the apple pie ice cream sandwich though.....
My daughter lives in nearby Santa Monica and has been telling me about this place for a while. So we went down to visit her and had a great lunch there. The choices are incredible. The service is top notch. And the scenery is nice to take in, we will definitely go back.
Loved the vibe, food, and beer here. Amazing outdoor patio but the inside bar and dining were equally as nice. Great selection of German & Belgian beers…and such a unique and delicious food menu. Belgian fries were great and where else in LA can you get a rattlesnake sausage? Definitely recommend the Filipino maharlika!
Went for the Hungarian Heat (paprika, white pepper, & brown sugarbased on recommendation with Caramelized Onions and Sweet Peppers on top. I felt like I shouldve probably tried something more unique because it tasted fairly basic, although there are quite a few interesting menu items on there (like a Rattlesnake and Rabbit option...). The fries were also extremely thick (in a good wayand was really good with the Chipotle Aioli.
Came here at the recommendation of a friend. I wasnt disappointed. Usually this place gets pretty packed, but i went on a good night. Parking is a pain in the butt to find around this place. Food was good, I enjoyed my kielbasa sausage with saurkraut and mustard. Fries were too over salted, next time order them light. Beer was ice cold.
I love this place. Great food, beer, and has a very relaxed vibe. Highly recommend getting the rattlesnake and rabbit sausage!Portion wise, Id say 1 hot dog + fries + beer will keep you full. My boyfriend and I tried to share 3 hot dogs and large fries and was dying! Bread kinda thicc after a while. Also big fan of their chipotle ketchup and Berliner Weiss!
The best Bratwurst, excellent German beer and very friendly and nice staff. Also great atmosphere!
Shout out to Cesar! Read on:Great little German place with a lot of options for both wurst and beers. We had the traditional brat, pheasant with herbs du Provence, and hot Italian. All were great but the pheasant and herb was the best tasting stand alone sausage. The fries were fantastic, crispy outside and soft tender inside... Cooked expertly. Paired with the chipotle aioli kicked it up to 11.Later on we brought out some curry ketchup and had a makeshift currywurst and it really scratched the itch for that dish pretty well.I would say the jewel on top was the fantastic service from Cesar the bartender who helped us out with the menu. He was knowledgeable of the products, and helpful in catering to our tastes. Plus, he managed to do it all with a great sense of humor and a incredibly personable demeanor. Despite the great food its Cesar whos bringing me back!
Yes, its good! Their vegetarian options are tasty as well. They have a great ordering system, feels like an escape room ;)They went with the industrial decor all the way, and the natural light makes it a perfect lunch spot.
Service is great, love the recommendation and the sausage, beer, mustard pairing is amazing! Cant wait to come back and try more flavors!
Very discreet looking location from the street. Not a great area for parking, factor in more time to find a space. Seems more about the drinking and less about the food. Good but nothing to write home about. The interior is very stark and boring.
The fries are absolutely amazing! The sausages are also made in house and very unique. I drive up from San Diego just to have their Vegetarian Mexican Chipotle dog. You can also buy all the ingredients separately and cook them up at home which is awesome.
delicious food, great beer, and the coolest people. the staff was so helpful with my allergies and recommended the beyond meat brat sans bun, and fries (they were incrediblewith the curry ketchup and bbq sauce. such a cute biergarten! a lady next to me was adamant about hating beer, until the manager Will recommended one she fell immediately in love with. highly recommend this place!
Visited this great spot in Venice last week for a late dinner. We arrived sometime after 10PM, and as it was a weekday, it was pretty dead. However, we received a warm greeting and were immediately led to the kitchen area to order. They have a great selection of sausages, and it was tough to choose one (I went with the duck). The real special thing about this restaurant though are the fries and dipping sauces. A must try! The beer selection is also great. While the sausages were good, I expected more flavour, which is why I didn’t give them 5 stars.
Really good food here! I had the duck and bacon bratwurst which was delicious. The fries are great as well! A small fry is still a large portion, and theyre steak-cut types as well so pretty filling. Cool ambiance inside and lots of drink options. The employees are also really nice and friendly!
A great place to hang out for the night. You should definitely have their beers. 🍻🍻 The sausages are not my thing but the house french fries is good.
Yummy sausage restaurant with choices ranging from normal to exotic! Mild to spicy and a selection of mustards. Tons of beer choices, and good fries too!
This place was quiet when we came but I was excited to try it for its one menu item the Rattlesnake/Rabbit Sausage! We were about to head to the LA location when we noticed they were near Venice too! When we enter we went into the wrong area first, but I’m assuming the owner? Lead us to the ordering table and helped us out! We ordered, headed back to the seating area and chose the area near where the DJ would be (to early or not the weekend so wasn’t therethe seating area is nice and open and plenty of space. Now the food was good! There was a nice snap from the sausage casing which is always a good sign! The flavors of all the options we got were so good! And the sauce selection for the fries was good too! (Sweet bbq & spciy ketchupI definitely will be back the next time I take my little bro to the skate park in Venice!
I came here to celebrate my friends graduation and the food and service were great! Really cute hipster-ish aesthetic. Great beer selection (I recommend the strawberry beer if you want something sweet! And wide variety of different bratwursts to try. I decided to be adventurous and tried the rattlesnake/rabbit one with caramelized onions and sweet peppers and regular size order of fries. Delish!
Tried a rattlesnake and rabbit hot dog. Not as spicey as expected but still good. Located on the face of a large street, parking can be tricky to find. Great service and explanation of offerings. Theres a small outdoor sitting area. Note there are two entrances to this restaurant.
Delicious sausages for a very reasonable price plus the place looks super cute and welcoming. The restaurant has multiple areas to sit at (bar, inside patio, outside patio etc). Good option also if you want to get something quick to go. Staff was friendly. There are a lot of options for beer too.
This place was effing amazing to say the least. They have exotic foreign sausage sandwiches such as snake meat!!! But no dont worry they also have regular sausages. I think mine was pork and beef. Overall it was an amazing find and everything was great. Even their water had a really nice cucumber flavor.
Really enjoyed the food here. Took my mom and I had the Duck and Bacon with jalapeno... Oh my that was tasty, didnt need anything on it really. It has a nice Smokey flavor. My mom had the basic brat which she loves with the ground mustard. The selection of beer was great and I found my new favorite, Schwartzbier! Oh I might have to learn how to brew that yummy lager.Atmosphere was nice, low key eating in a bar setting. Looks like an Oktoberfest dining hall.Oh almost forgot, the fries... The fries were incredible. Nice thick cut with plenty of salt. They were great by themselves but even better with your choice of dipping sauce.
So many amazing options to choose from! I went with the rattlesnake sausage along with the spicy sausage. Both were phenomenal and the beer menu is extremely comprehensive. A knowledgeable staff and lively crowd make this a must visit if youre passing through venice.
Delicious food, friendly staff, would recommend! I had the Bockwurst with sweet peppers, and I added Spicy Brown mustard, Ketchup, and Honey mustard. Perfection! The fries were good as well, if youre a ranch person youll enjoy their Buttermilk Ranch sauce. The only thing I heartily do NOT recommend is the Sweet Blossoms elderflower soda that they carry, it has absolutely no flavor of elderflower what-so-ever. It just tastes like flavorless sweet syrup.
Friendly service, great relaxed atmosphere. Staff is happy to recommend beer pairings for your choice of sausage. I recommend the duck w/ bacon 💯👌👌
I don’t like sausage because it’s too salty usually but this place would be an exception. Duck&bacon was the Best sausage ever!! You also have many options for dipping sauce. My favorite was bleu cheese walnut and pesto mayo. Try them!
Had a blast at this spot. German beer selection was excellent and specialty sausages had wonderful flavor and were quote unique. The ambiance is lively but chill and setup family-style.
Great atmosphere, good music, good food, over priced 4" gourmet hot dogs. A dog and small fries were $14. Both were delicious. Id come back again. I just think they should lower the price or give people more food.
This place is awesome. I am so glad that they opened one on the westside. They have an assortment of sausages, everything from vegetarian and gluten free to full meat. Another fun thing about this place is the beer on tap. They have an assortment of Belgian Beers on tap to choose from. When you walk around the corner from ordering, you walk into a giant hall that has a bar in it and lots of very long tables for you to sit. This is great because you share the space and it feels like a community where you would talk to people you normally wouldnt. Come down and check it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed!
Who doesnt love hot dogs/sausages! We saw this place on YouTube! Great place to eat and drink beer! Friendly staff and clean establishment! Recommend if you go to Venice! Awesomeness!!
