World of Little League Museum in Williamsport
Description
Just looked at the museum shop. The need more post cards. The stadium is beautiful.
MoreNice walk thru on history of little league baseball
Great place to bring the kiddos.
Wonderful museum. We really enjoyed it!
Very nice, well-kept stadium
Little league history and some interactive game
Well laid out history of little league baseball.
This has been a "bucket list" venture. I played Little League baseball during the 50s in Ohio and have enjoyed watching the World Series on TV for years. I was not disappointed. I was able to walk through the stadium and the famous "hill". Staff was preparing for the Series . . . banners up . . . large communication trailers being delivered . . . fine tuning the outfield . . . and stocking the souvenir shop.
MoreWatching some of the films brought much emotion... great place
Brought the family, upon arrival closed until further notice. I asked if it was a 1 day thing (as the family was withor if the store was open. Got dismissed immediately by an ignorant associate and said "were doing some work thank you" and he turned away.Google says everything is open hence why we are here.Should update your hours accordingly on Google before others make the trip.
MoreI just wented in the gift shop. Its very neat. Didnt have time to go thur the museum. Next time I will.
MoreWhat a wonderful place to display the history of little league baseball.
I waited a life time to be able to visit it.
This is an awesome experience for any fan of baseball or Little League. Plan to spend several hours there to really enjoy it.
MoreLooking on website but can not find if there are anything about the Challenger Div in the museum.
MoreThe museum was great! Definitely check it out if you have kids or love baseball! The staff is super friendly and dont rush or kick you out when they close. Clean and informative exhibits. Will be back when my little one is older for sure!
MoreLoved the interactive things to do. Doesnt matter what your age.
I grew up watching so many LLWS games on TV. Great to visit the ballpark in great condition shortly before the 2021 LLWS.
MoreWebsite shows the museum being opened. Arrive and they are closed until further notice. Disappointed that the website was not updated. Will have to check it out another time.
MoreVery interesting. I know very little about baseball or Little League. It seems like an awesome program! The museum was interesting as well with lots of history and donated artifacts, interactive displays and videos.
MoreVery cool place to visit. Brings back lots of childhood memories when playing baseball. Only downfall would be it’s not as close to route 80 as youd like when driving through pa. But it’s a must see 5 dollar admission can’t beat it
MoreIt is the Little League equivalent to the Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown N.Y.
MoreThis is so much more than we expected it to be. We visited on a slow Saturday and nearly had the place to ourselves. There was so much to read and learn about. Who knew the history of little league baseball could be so rich? Neither my friend or I am had any ties to little league but we really enjoyed our visit. Bonus, if you have a AAA membership be sure to mention it, you get audio guides for free.
MoreWish they had a little more but there is a lot of history in the museum. The hall of excellence is a nice place. Cheap admission is very nice.
MoreWhat a place to see. It’s a great experience for all ages but especially for kids. The knowledge and feelings that the place can bring out in the importance of the sport in kid is apparent. The experiences and history that the place has are great and the field is just down the hill. Heard it gets crazy during the Little League World Series but that is expected. Otherwise it’s a must see.
MoreVery unique museum detailing the history of little league then you can take a self guided tour of the field and monuments
MoreVery nice place to visit. Lots of information. Our grandsons really enjoyed it
Very cool museum. Our boys really enjoyed it (10-14 yr oldsand you cant beat the price! $5 adults and $2 kids. This was an unplanned stop along our road trip to get out and stretch our legs. Im so glad we took the tour and visited the field. Lots of memorabilia, souvenirs, and a few activities for the kids. Theres a wall that measures how high you can jump to grab fly ball. And my boys favorite, the stop watch that times how fast you can run from home plate to 1st.
MoreI loved the history of this place and I would definitely encourage everyone to go here and enjoy being around people who love baseball in any form.
MoreA bit far from I-80. The museum is small and holds many pictures of past events.
Very cool place. A must see if you are ever in Williamsport.
A very friendly lady was working the day we visited. My husband grew up in Williamsport and was telling her of his experiences when he worked for the Grit. He stepped on a nail while helping tear down the old motel before they built the stadium. This was my first visit and I found many nice items in the gift shop. And a truly beautiful area overlooking the stadium!
MoreIf your kids love baseball its a place to see. Learned things I did not know. Would love to visit during a series game.
MoreWonderful place to visit. Great hands on museum for kids. Beautiful location. Make sure you check out the baseball diamonds. Great gift shop. The staff are so friendly and helpful
More$5 admission is perfect for this small museum with great teachable moments for my 4 year old, including a glove made out of cardboard. Interactive display allows you to check in to your local little league and send a message.
MoreIf you like to learn about the annals of homegrown baseball and how its spread across the globe and find out about some of the great people who were part of it this is the place to come. Clean bright colorful exhibits await you. You can drive around the grounds if the gates are open and its very reasonably priced also
MoreGreat place to visit during rain delays and learn more about the history of LL! Fun break from the games.
MoreGreat little Museum located right on Route 15. Very easy to locate and it into. Staff was very helpful. Exhibits showed a good mix of things you sit and wash and things for children to interact with. Recommended for folks with children or others that are just interested in Little League baseball.
MoreDrove up here as part of a day trip and stopped in.The admisson price was good The staff was very kind and friendly and were very knowledgeable on the subject matter of the museum and the history..The museum itself was very clean and the layout was very good all the interactive displayed worked (which is a big pet peeve of mine when they dont). The museum shop had a good selection of merchandise at decent prices I ended up getting a pin.I would go again
MoreAmazing collection of baseball memorabilia, including famous individuals who were once little leaguers! Its a family oriented, hands on, experience
MoreTells the story of Little League baseball in a fun and family friendly muesum.
A lot of hands on fun and so much to see but small enough to get thru and highly recommend for kids and little league players and families!
MoreExcellent representation of the reach out to kids, good show on how girls were allowed into the program, glad it was all on one floor. Only thing missing was more interactive projects, i.e. batting cage, rate of speed of a thrown ball. But, other items were presented. Excellent place to show people who are visiting our area. Veterans are free!
MoreThe hill is a nightmare if youre handicapped, you really cant see anything, but overall Im glad we made the trip up from Florida. But they should make better seating for the game.
MoreDefinitely worth the visit. Bunch of interactive stuff for the kids, including run the bases, beat the clock exhibit.
MoreReally well done small museum that takes about 30-45 minutes to go through. I had no idea anything about the history of Little League!
MoreWife, kids and I visited in February on the way home during a long road trip. Had the entire museum to ourselves. Kids enjoyed the museum and interactive stations. Discounted apparel in the shop in February, so we purchased a few souvenirs. Great family experience.
MoreMy kids loved the museum. There are so many interactive things inside that they loved. The museum price wasnt bad at all and they had many affordable souvenirs.
MoreWe drive past this several times of the year, but we have never stopped. This was the time, and it was worth it. The museum is great, especially the interactive exhibits like being timed running to first base and being a shortstop. Do not miss stopping in!
MoreYour kids and you will have a great time. It contains all LL History and plus there is interactive things for your kids. I love baseball and anything dealing with history I love. Every yr visitor since 1994
