Woolsey Creek Bistro in Revelstoke

My vehicle was broken down and was being fixed on the side of the road by a mechanic so I went for a walk and stumbled across this restaurant. It was extremely cold inside and I looked at the menu and the food started at $28 which by the outside you would have never guessed that this was a fine dining place. It was still really nice but just not expecting fine dining when I really just wanted a quick meal.

5 star is unusual for me, but the food and service was really great! I had the Elk burger and the polenta fries. The taste was very good and I would order again. A bit pricey but worth the taste!

Wow what a wonderful find in Revelstoke! Food was fantastic, service was excellent! Charcuterie to start such a great selection ! Main course just delicious! Treat yourself to a wonderful meal

Nice outside patio for casual dinning. Duck Drumettes in BBQ sauce were delicious. My Salmon was a little overdone for my taste, and red pepper sauce did not add to the flavor. My wife enjoyed her Mussels. Beet salad with arugula base and goat cheese was tastey. The dessert, was amazingly good. Our server was friendly, courteous, and timely, despite being the only one serving all of the patio tables

Food was average, but we waited for an hour before our dishes arrived :/ Took 30 min for the server to take our order and another 40 min to get our food.I understand the restaurant may be understaffed, but would’ve appreciated if they limited the seating to match the staff or gave a discount considering how long we waited. The food wasn’t bad - we got the burger, pasta, and crème brûlée for dessertParking on site. Make sure to make reservations beforehand!

Amazing attentive service, every bite was an explosion of flavour and the ambience is top notch! Making a Reso is a must, and after eating here I can definitely understand why! Will definitely be back.

Actively flouting Covid protocol. Pretty gross when we are all working so hard for this to be over. Refused to check Covid passports and servers weren’t wearing masks. We left immediately.

Beautiful ambience. The venison burger was really good though the polenta fries were a little over cooked. The bruschetta was very nice and well plated. The vegetarian bowl was ok. Would definitely try it again.

Weve been coming here for over 15 years from when it was back more towards Town Centre. Although ownership has changed (hi Andre), quality of food and service hasnt. Love dropping in here and treating ourselves

Wonderful restaurant with amazingly kind staff. Theyre dealing with the same staffing challenges that everyone else is and deserve your patience.I really compliment the way one of the owners treated their server for the night when a slight snafu happened. Treating your team well and being okay with mistakes is the the essence of leadership.Also, the food is pretty amazing and lived up to my expectations.

Honestly, I’m going through some food euphoria right now. The pork belly was soft like butter, braised beef was incredible, chocolate mousse (hard to findwas not too rich and also soo good. Would rate this place 6 stars if I had the option.

Nothing sounded appetising in the slightest. The food is probably excellent, my cousins all say so, at least. But really not something I would recommend to anyone I know, whether they are into really fancy food or not.

Im gonna be honest I wanted to like this resteraunt, the tacos I ordered were good, very very small portions but thats not the point, this is going to be detailed so I ordered the praun taco it was ok but nothing special wasnt exactly packed with flavor, I ordered a couple drinks and 2 deserts, both deserts were bad, the lemon merange was meh not much flavor it tasted very fluffy, the apple crisp was hard and the apple sauce didnt taste like apples more like wine, I didnt tip I wasnt impressed with the food, the waiter (older guycomes up to my date after the meal and asks her directly why I didnt tip

Amazing food! Had the beef shank and it was incredible!! The dessert was lovely too. Cant wait to go back!

Make sure you make a reservation. Soup and pasta may be different every day. Great service. The server gave you space and time to talk and enjoy the food. It would be a pity that you have to rush the dinner. A great place to chill and savour.

I really enjoyed our experience at the bistro. The ambiance is really nice, the art work on the wall was a really nice touch. Our food was very good ❤️❤️If you are looking for a great place to have dinner this is it!!

I am speechless! Such a warm place, makes you feel even more, than like home. The menu is a whole another story!! Everything was amazing, including outstanding service! And it is not a chain, its local business!! Definitely a must visit place

Great service and the food was wonderful. Bruschetta was perfect for sharing. Had braised beef, it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Wine was Hester Creek Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon red which was a great match for the main. The Lemon meringue dessert was just the right size and served on a shortbread cookie. Will definitely return.

They were very accommodating, the food is really goodThe only improvement I would suggest is , maybe shorten the wait time between dishes.

Amazing restaurant! We had a large group and were served and waited on by the owners themselves. The food was unbelievable and our whole experience was amazing, a great time and great experience. Dont miss this place if youre in Revy, its worth the trip!

Amazing. The food was so so good, the staff were fantastic, the value for what your getting is great. I had the Filo tort and it was the best dish Ive had in months. The scallops were also a show stopper.

We visited here on Feb. 13/21 and were really impressed. Lovely rustic atmosphere, COVID spacing in effect, friendly staff and the food was delicious. The presentation of the food was also fantastic - especially the bruschetta and charcuterie board. My husband had the duck and I had the Saltspring Island mussels - everything was delicious!

Service was amazing, our waitress was very attentive and table delivery was quick. Our group had the Scallops, Bruschetta and the Bacon Brussel Sprout salad as appetizers and they were all delicious. Main courses were the Duck, the Pasta, the Beef and the Lamb Burger, everyone was very impressed with the preparation and flavours. Best wine was Fairview Cellars The Bear. Always impressed with this restaurant, highly recommend.

Beautifully made, with well paired flavors.Charcuterie platter was huge, with great variety of flavors and textures.The beef shank was amazing.And the cheesecake and chocolate mousse were so well made. Best fine dining food in Revy. Chefs are passionate about flavour and if youre into wine pairings look no further. One of the better patios in town with a view of the Old school and Mt Begbie. Atmosphere is artsy and intimate.

I find reviews tricky- this isnt a 5 star restaurant but the food is really really good. The service has been good at times and excellent at others. A recent change in ownership/management has really elevated the experience here. Whenever I have friends of family visit from out of town, this is the place I recommend for a culinary experience that is comfortable and casual for the person, but guaranteed to impress.

Best place to eat in Revelstoke, hands down. If you get the chance i would highly recommend the bruschetta boat, nachos and one of the many amazing Revelstoke beers. Sit on the patio... and enjoy the wonder service, the waitresses/waiters at this establishment are top notch, if you want a fine dining experience.... This is it.

Sadly, did not meet expectation. On a Monday evening, I was at a dinner with family, six of us in all. Of those that volunteered an opinion to me later, it was about 50/50 on who liked their dinner. I did not. I had the pork chop on red rice and cabbage. While it was flavourful, it was cold. Actually, the meat was warm (not hot, just warm), but the red rice and cabbage were actually cold. Not cool but cold.I chose not to make an issue of it because we were celebrating my mothers birthday.Then a big surprise when I picked up the bill. Was it written on the menu thered be an automatic gratuity? Perhaps. I generally dont have an issue with automatic gratuity added for service for large groups. We were six and our server informed me that groups of six and larger were charged the automatic gratuity. Well, that certainly explained the level of service we received. Being generous, I estimate all together she spent less than 10 min with us. We always seemed to be waiting on her. Bam, 20% tip added to the bill. I suppose since she new she was getting the large tip anyway, didnt need to go out of her way. And the place was nearly empty.Wont be back.

The food at Woolsey Creek Bistro was delicious and the staff initially seemed very friendly. However, I was disappointed when I found a piece of plastic in my soup. I didnt want to ruin the night by making a fuss but made a point of telling the waitress as I could have choked on this. Even though she apologized, she made no effort to acknowledge that this was not normal service or explain or provide any compensation. This was extremely disappointing for such a prestigious restaurant. I would not recommend this establishment.

We have visited previously and were impressed as much as we were in the last visit. Great food, wonderfully presented and a good wine list including quality B.C. wines as their house selection. Friendly service throughout the evening. Well worth a try!

Delicious, healthy food, great service, beautiful and artistic interior design, warm and pleasant atmosphere. We had the linguini and the cauliflower steak, and both were superb in flavor and presentation. A fantastic experience dining here, already looking forward to coming again.

Fantastic Food and Friendly AtmosphereWe visited the Woolsely for their (re)opening. The renovated and refreshed space is warm and inviting…like visiting an art collector’s cabin in the woods. The carrot and ginger soup was perfect on a wet, cool spring night. The beef tenderloin was prepared and seasoned perfectly. Looking forward to trying the scallop starter and duck next time (it received rave reviews from our table).

Great food and atmosphere. Accommodated our group of 17 and even alerted us to a beautiful wolf moon.

I found the presentation excellent and the flavor lacking, the portion size on our appetizers to be very modest and overpriced for what we received. Our mains were better and more in alignment with the price.The washrooms are horrid, tacky theme design in my opinion is not conducive or appropriate for fine dinning establishments. Better left for burger joints, thanks. No hurry to return.

Fine dining in Revelstoke. The quality of our duck confit and wild salmon were high but it took a half hour wait for the food.

Absolutely wonderful fusion menu. With an emphasis on local, sustainable and eco friendly foods!. Great quiet location. 10/10 on all fronts. Our hosts at the Court House Inn recommended the location for dinner.

We celebrated my wifes 40th here. Locally sourced and prepared with care for the environment, the food is excellent without being pretentious. The ambiance is semi-casual, warm, but elegant. Our service with Marie service was impeccable. They even prepared a personalized cake for the occasion, which was absolutely decadent. 5 stars, hands down!

Great place! We arrived late at the Revelstoke Inn. After trying to go to one of the local pubs, which was closed, we found ourselves at the Woolsey Creek Bistro. The kitchen was closing soon, but the host must have sensed my hunger and exhaustion. She was very kind, and so was our wonderful server. They did not rush us. They were helpful and kind. The food came quickly and it was delicious. I had the tomatoe chipotle soup, and squash capaletti. My husband had the salmon, which looked amazing. Our server sensed that my soup was too spicy and offered to make me something else from the kitchen. I chose to stick with the soup for although it was hot it was delicious. This is such a great place to go in the heart of Revelstoke. Its a bit upscale but they do not look down on you if you go in with a hoodie on (I know, it was what we were wearing ;-)This was the last stop on our west coast honeymoon and we do not regret it.

Im not sure if I want to write an amazing review or a terrible review BECAUSE if I write a terrible review then nobody will come here and my wife and I will always get a table!But in all honesty... This place is such a Revelstoke Gem. The food was absolutely amazing and Kendal was an amazing server. She had such a great attitude and was very quick to notice low drinks and anything we needed right away.5 of 5 stars from my wife and I on our 1 year anniversary!We will definitely be visiting you again when we are in Revelstoke next. Thanks for making our 1 year anniversary dinner such a joy. :)

Love this place always try and hit it through our BC travels. Food is unique, comforting and delicious. Staff has always been very sweet and friendly. The desert platter is always a great finish. Very good vibes here

The mission statement found inside the menu was accurate and has integrity- the approach to meal preparation shows originality and passion. We were delighted to see the Chef come out to pick fresh herbs from the garden adjoining the patio. They also easily accommodated my wifes Celiac challenges which was deeply appreciated. The Wild Salmon and Tuna Filet were both winners and the local beer/tequila combo was refreshing. We took the Dark Chocolate Truffle and Blueberry Lavender Cheesecake to finish up with riverside as we watched the sun go down.Thanks for the great service as well..
