Beautiful gardens, amazing trees, small but nice playground just next to a car parking
MoreThis place is beautiful, enchantingly mysteriously fun. Adventurous for families with children and everyone else. A park with beautiful tall trees and an arboretum with outstanding walking paths. A good choice for those who like to enjoy nature and nature walks
MoreExcellent for a stroll around the gardens. Teas and coffees available.
Kilkenny county council and there hard working staff have these parklands looking amazing will worth a visit so peaceful and if ya do drop in don’t forget to stop of at the beautifully restored tea room amazingly the young lady attending the tea rooms had seven verity’s of fresh and fresh cream cakes. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
MoreWow, what a surprise to find this when doing a short walk from Inistioge. We were there in end August and while we did not see much blooming and flowers, this was still impressive.Definitely recommend to come here and if you are able to: do the walk from the center of Inistioge instead of using a car. Saves you €5 for car park as well, but the walk itself also has magnificent views.
MoreBeautiful place. Coffee house open. Lovely cappuccino and a slice of lemon cake.
Extensive formally laid out gardens with something for all the family. Great coffee shop to relax in.
MoreI just love it here! Theres a sense of calm even when there are children being children having adventures amongst the walks and the fairy house. So atmospheric, on quiet days you can almost feel the ghosts continue their daily perambulation consulting with the gardener and drinking tea on the lawn....
MoreGreat walks for the doggies. €5 per car entry
Wonderful place. Very well-tended and serene. The only pros is the lack of trash cans, - even tea houses havent one.
MoreIn a day like today nice and sunny 🌞 ☀️ 😎 great walk around 👍 highly recommended!!!
MoreFantastic restoration work on gardens & victorian iron and brick/stonework by Kilkenny CoCo. Café too a real treat after a leisurely walk amongst some monster trees.
MoreBeautiful place and lots to see. Nice little cafe for teas or coffee!
Lovely gardens being renovated with a very small staff of volunteers. The special points of the garden are the monkey puzzle avenue which Ive never seen before. There is a rose garden and a lovely lavendar avenue. The tea room is a must visit with home made cakes and some of the best scones Ive ever had. Reasonable prices too.Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a buggy driven round the grounds by Woodstock Lenny who will transport anyone to the cafe. This was so useful to us as I cannot walk too far. And his little Jack Russell is a sweet little companion.Although the gardens are still being developed you can see the hard work thats been put in by everyone in the recently weeded borders and the clipped hedges. I love this garden because of the care and the people running it. A bargain at 5 euros for parking.
MorePlenty things to see. Lots of long walks. Well maintained with a nice playground and picnic benches
MoreA great way to spend a few hours and stunning grounds!
June ‘22 - Very disappointing if you expect to see gardens. The ‘rose garden’ has 1 specimen, the ‘rockery’ was completely overrun with weeds, the ‘ha-ha hidden by weeds, the ‘walled garden’ didn’t have any flowers but a digger was there, so maybe 2023 would be a better time to visit. Not very accessible for older people, a gravel path can be a struggle at times if you have a buggy. Definitely not wheelchair accessible. It’s shameful that the toilets at the cafe were signposted ‘for staff only’ which leaves only the toilets in the car park for visitors. Clearly a lot of work needs to be done, lots of potential here.
MoreThis is a fabulous garden, planned and planted by people who would never get to see the finished product. Amazing foresight. A joy to see and walk around.
MoreA beautiful village and Woodstock gardens are amazing for walking around and enjoying all that the Irish country side has to offer. Fresh air, great scenery, what more could you ask for?
MoreLovely walk with dog,beatiful gardens
Poor directions, very unkempt, appalling toilet facilities, they said you could get tea or coffee there !!Well no such facilities were open on Easter Sunday. Dont waste your time going there ,they charge 5euro per car ,for what. Better option was to travel on to the village /town of Inistoige, spelling probably incorrect bur a joy to visit and lots of eating facilities, it saved the day for us .Inistoige is in the county of killkenny. Plenty of parking facilities.
MoreLove this place amazing, lovely time just to walk and caml yourself
Truly a gem of a place, scores of curious spaces and a fabulous arboretum. One of the best walks around.
MorePleasant forest trails and occasional streams. Best seen when Winter has passed. The house is a ruin, burnt by Republicans in 1922.
MoreLovely woodland trails, tearooms, waterfall, playground and arboretum. Great place to enjoy a bit of the outdoors.
MoreBeautiful and well maintained gardens. Some HUGE redwoods and other exotic species. We went in late October and the garden was quiet and relaxing. A good half a day out.
MoreExcellent woodland walks, playground for children and picnic areas. €5 a day parking fee. Public toilet and tea room, grounds may not be suitable for wheelchairs.
MoreReally nice gardens and loads of space to wander around. Little coffee truck on the way in with plenty of seating nearby.

MoreGreat spot for a family wall with plenty to places to explore and things to do for the kids. Excellent playground too. 👍
MoreVery nice place to spend the day. It took us almost 2 hours to visit it. It can be done even quicker if you dont have enough time. I also recommend if you go there, to visit the park from center as well. Definitely worth it.
MoreWe were very impressed by the newly improved Woodstock garden and Tea Room. There was lovely wild Gardens .Maze and Rose GardensAnd plenty of Walks and areas for picnics. Well be back . Only no gluten Free cakes. not even a biscuit Again a choice of Cakes and Cookies for my guests. Please rectify..
MoreIts beautiful place but it needs maintenance to look even better
Beautiful gardens, lovely to stroll around. Facilities are limited, possibly due to Covid? This would be great for a picnic with kids.
MoreHad a fantastic day with the family! Parked up in the huge carpark, did the Woodstock looped walk, and then around the gardens and Arboretum. First, down to the river after stopping for photos at Mount Sandford Castle, "Room with a view ". Back up to the carpark and around the Gardens and Arboretum. Fetched the picnic from the car, coffee from the Tuk Tuk coffeevan (proper coffee machine, deliciousand up to the large picnic area. Fantastic, could then watch the children in the playground from our table!! Children loved every minute!! (So did mum and dad). Also, clean toilets in the carpark. Highly recommend!!
MoreHuge grounds to walk, enjoy beauty of the gardens or have a picnic with family.
Absolutely fabulous, and enjoyable experience from start to finish..
Absolutely fantastic place, walks are brilliant and it is spotless. Would highly recommend this place
MoreJust a gorgeous place with lovely ancient trees, castle ruins and secret gardens
Beautiful place for long walks. Amazing trees and flowers... :D
Nature at its best... We drove from Waterford to Inistioge Via NewRoss... Such a scenic drive atop lush pasture hills, Old houses... Take the road before NewRoss via the golf club... That is amazing.. Woodstock Gardens is just amazing.. Huge trees and well maintained greens... They have Apples, gooseberries and blackcurrant orchards.. Great walk around the garden and the old Woodstock house... Lots of places to take pictures... Bring a picnic mat and find spot under a large tree... Theres a coffee place but it was closed due to the pandemic... We spend around 4.5hrs walking around and picnicking... Drove back to Waterford via NewRoss via Inistioge... Inistioge is heavily... Well go back just for Inistioge some other day.
MoreThis is a beautiful garden very near to the beautiful village of Inistioge. Its great for walk around. There is a lovely coffee shop in the middle, which is currently closed due to covid restrictions. The monkey maze and other picturesque views make this place beautiful. There is a fee of €5 per car. But if u decide to park the car outside the compound and walk in, its free. I usually go here for macrophotography. Loads of critters for that matter. Definitely a good picnic spot for families.
MoreGardens are beautiful, they are in a very good condition. The playground is well equipped and I will go back with my kids to enjoy the gardens again
MoreBeautiful well kept gardens in kilkenny easy to find plenty of parking and walking. Tea shop lovely clean
MoreBeautiful. Well done to all involved in its upkeep. Lovely place to visit.
When we arrived, an employee drove us to the tea rooms on a golf buggy as Mam had a crutch. Then we had a lovely tea in the conservatory. Walled garden was beautiful and well maintained. Very enjoyable family visit.
MoreWoodstock is a very tranquil place. The gardens have been beautifully restored. There is a lovely teahouse as well.
MoreLovely walk through the beautiful tiered gardens and fabulous trees and stop for a cuppa in the circular greenhouse, well worth a visit but dont forget your 4euros to exit the car park
