Lifeguarded summer waterpark with a lazy river, a 6-lane lap pool & water slides.
So much fun! Its crowded yet theres never really a line on the slides. They do a great job keeping everything moving. Also they arent overpriced! Which is great.
Good family fun.
Very clean facility. The kiddie area is perfect for little ones, ages 7 and under allowed with exceptions made by lifeguards as needed. The lazy river was super chill and fun for all ages. I didnt try the waterslides but a few in my family did and said they were both so much fun. The lane pool is nice and warm & super clean. If you have little ones, bring life jackets. No floats allowed. Lots of green area to lay out towels or set up chairs. If you can, bring an umbrella chair or sun hat, there isnt much shade. Concession stand was fairly priced with a decent selection of treats and foods. Great value and a fun way to spend a hot summer day.
Excellent staff ! Very courteous and helpful ! My only suggestion would be to have an emergency contact plan for when dropping off your kids. Maybe when kids pass their swim test an emergency contact # is included next to their name when entered in the computer. That actually was a suggestion by one of their young staff members! Excellent idea ! Keep up the good work everyone!
My daughter has been in swim lessons for the past two years, shes advanced with every level. The old lady doing the swim test in order to go down the slide passed children smaller than mine that were not as good as my daughter.
Great little spot good price, sadly you spend a good 30 minutes getting in, and your lucky if someone doesnt do something in the pool to get it closed conveniently 30 minutes before closing leaving you with 1 hour of swim
1st time there and the kids and I loved it!
Bummed. Kids couldnt pass the swim test AND there werent any life vests available for them to use. Please, use my $25 to buy another small sized life vest so the next family doesnt have to leave disappointed.
Nice facility. The staff was kind and the swim test is understandable to me, as the pool was rather congested at full capacity. Kiddy pool was extremely cold which is the only reason I rated 4 stars.
Not much things to choose from but pretty dang good.
Worst part of our trip to Montana.Don’t bring your kids unless they swim well enough to pass a lifeguard swim certification. No joke- came with 3 children who were not allowed to swim because after waiting in line to take their test for about an hour, they failed because their breaststroke form wasn’t perfect during one of their breaths. The staff made them cry. They swim better than me but weren’t allowed to swim. I wish I was exaggerating.Power tripping teenage children staff kicked everyone out of the pool for 45 minutes because some kid went down the slide the wrong way. They kicked everyone out not because he was hurt or something but because they wanted to take time to lecture him about going down the slide properly. There is a nice little park across the street though. Maybe just hangout there instead of pay to swim for 5 minutes?
Great place to cool off and fun for all!
It was fine... they make the kids under 42" take a swim test that is ridiculous. If they dont swim the freestyle 100% like an Olympic swimmer they cant use the diving board or swim in the deep end. The swim test isnt a bad Idea, but because they dont have the right form they fail?? My kids are great swimmers, swim all day everyday in the summer but not the "freestyle" and "failed" it was ridiculous.
I dont think that you should have to pay if you are only going to sit there watching the kids play. I understand Covid and all but its still a bit to pay to bot get in the water.
Woodland Water Park is inexpensive fun for the whole family in a beautiful park setting! The slides are super fun and the Lazy River is a relaxing way to stay cool on a hot day. There is also a large swimming pool and a wonderful kiddie pool with lots of fun gadgets for the littles to play with. Be sure to check out the rest of this beautiful park across the way!
My 9 year old granddaughter did the swim test and because she did a few feet of a dog paddle they flunked her! She has had swim lessons since she has been 4! There were 3 other moms there that were as shocked as I was that she failed! We watched several other children that did not do very good at all pass! When we asked about why they passed, we were told it’s because they have disabilities and needed their confidence boosted! REALLY?! I thought it was about safety! They sure didn’t care about my grand daughter’s confidence!! She was so hurt after watching children not as good of a swimmer as she was pass! She was inconsolable and we had to leave!
It’s frustrating when my daughter is tall enough all summer for the slide, then there’s an employee on a power trip.
The place is a joke. Tried to go twice and each time staff is there, water running and yet were not allowed in because theres a private party or they need x amount of people to show up or they shut down the entire park. Such a shame the management here is so terrible.
Edit: If your thinking about visiting for the first time, bring shade! We love coming here to swim. We get the season pass because of how often we swim. My only complaints are life guards yelling at you before they get the whole story and the length of time standing without shade for the concessions (also, lack of shade in general. We were in line for 45 minutes the other day. I try to be patient, they are just kids running it. I feel like an adult should be in there helping. The deal with the life guard, he yelled at me to get my daughters life jacket back on. I knew it was okay for her to take it off so I asked, “why?” And then he snidely/sarcastically said, “uh, cause she could drown!” I instantly got upset and said, “she’s my daughter, I’m not going to let her drown!” I should have just raised her hand and shown him the watermark that shows she can go in without a life jacket/adult. Cause then he yelled at me again to put it back on. Then I said, they told me at the front desk that she doesn’t have to wear one. That’s when another supervisor looking lifeguard came and asked her to show him her hand. Then he said “it’s okay, she’s okay.” A lot of confusion, fear and embarrassment could have been avoided if he had just asked me why I was taking off her life jacket or better yet, let me see her hand! Power tripping isn’t a good look for the place. A lot of the other guards are really sweet and nice so that is why I’m still giving 4 stars. Despite that I would recommend. They even updated the showers so you don’t have to stand in a circle around a shower tree!!!!
The life guards put me and my friend next to her and madebuse sit there for about 15min and we didnt do anything and then a different life guard got mad at my and me for waving at her nicely and she said she was gonna make us sit out and not swim im not gonna be coming back there for a while im sorry
Cute park, local favorite
We love this park so much and spend a ton of time there every year!! Looking forward to its opening up again !
Definitely a place to go with the kiddos. They can pass a swimming test there and have a sense of accomplishment and pride as well as having fun. A must for the summer fun.
Really poor communication.Website, google, and even the sign at the park says they’re open at 12.There is no sign of anyone at all and then when you call the number the it says they are CLOSED for the SEASON?? Please update your website and have accurate information for tourists.
Water park was nice too
Place is pretty bland not the best rules I would say the only good part of it are the ducks and geese next to it. Would not recommend would recommend splash Montana much better slides, better lazy river and overall and fun place.
VERY disappointed. The rules are unrealistic and the lifeguard doing the swimming test expected a "professional" performance. My 8 year old granddaughter has been swimming all her life but because he wanted it done his way she couldnt pass. I watched and I saw him pass ones that didnt even do as good as her. He passed my 10 year old which left a big ouch between the girls. Drew deflated my girls confidence big time and I dont appreciate it.
Very confusing rules. Our 8 year old swimmer has to take a swim test where he was required to front stroke (with formacross the entire length of the pool. While our 8 year old is a decent swimmer, he has never been taught a proper front stroke. Because he was unable to swim with his feet in the water doing the front stroke across the pool, and needed to come tread water for a moment to breath - so he was forced to wear a life vest for the day - and prohibited from the water slides. He hasnt had to wear a life vest in over two years - he can swim. So, we went to get the life vest, except there were not enough left. Awesome. We then saw a sign that said if his chest was 42 inches, he could go sans vest and use the slides. He missed the 42 inch mark on his chest (pretty arbitraryby less than 1/2 an inch. We were forced to spend the day in the lazy river - because there were no vests - and didnt have a proper breast stroke (but he can swim. FOR REAL). And finally... there is no shade. It was nut-to-butt crowded on a 92º Tuesday, the kid was forced to wear a life vest, and it was shadelessly nut-to-butt.
My sister who lives in Missoula is SO JEALOUS of our awesome Woodland Park, and wishes they had something so amazing in their town! With miles of walking and biking trails and plenty of picnic areas, the park attracts family oriented gatherings. Theres a very nice water park, plus 2 play areas, one for littler kids and the other for bigger kids, with all the features of any playground, including the slide tube. The enormous water pond brings flocks of ducks, geese and other birds for viewing pleasure. Theres even art in the park, near one of the bridges that connect both sides of this large beautifully green park. Make a day of it!
Great place for the kids to play. Water was fairly warm. The provide life jackets if needed. They have concessions.
Good place for families to spend a warm summers day, plenty of places to picnic. A big pool to swim in, waterslides and a lazy river.... concession stands , showers, plus family locker areas as well.. Lots of summer activities, plus swim lessons.A fun place, and cost efficient enough to come a few times per month.
Very nice park. Has a swimming pool, little streams, and lots of birds and ducks. Plenty of shade and grass area. The winning pool has a couple of big slides that look fun. There is a very nice play area for the children. A great family park overall. Good for picnicking too.
We had a little trouble using a pass that didnt have an expiration date but with some negotiation were able to the admitted okay. have a great variety of pools and play areas for different ages and life jackets to accommodate kids who are not swimming successful yet. Wild River floating area is nice just to chill out and waterslides ae fun.
Awesome deal. Just the right size to have fun with the whoel family. Big sky waterslides might be bigger, but you can get the whole family in for an afternoon of fun for less then 20$ that is what I call a good deal. Also a reasonably priced concession.
Great little watering in hole. Inexpensive enough to get in but concession prices are through the roof. It also sucks that it closes during the hottest part of the day for swimming lessons.
The swim test is ridiculous, they not only have to swim the two lengths but have perfect form according to the lifeguard. The lazy river and kiddie pool are arctic - yet if you don’t pass the swim test that’s all kids can do! So we had the choice of a cold pool or colder lazy river. Hugely disappointing. Can’t go on the water slides at all, which if you have younger children you know it’s the big draw.Don’t come if your children are younger than 10-12 and can meet the unrealistic standards.
Clean pools. Lazy river for casual floating. Can be busy from time to time but night swim is also an option. Swim lessons available and concessions inside. Lawns for relaxing. They provide life jackets if needed. Smaller water park but it does have slides and a kiddie pool too
Great and reasonable place to take the kids on a hot day. Concessions were cheap, you can bring in your own food, abundant lifeguards who are nice, all in all, a very good experience.Little kids can play in the kiddie pool and go on the lazy river with adults, but not on the waterslides. My 11 year old had to take a quick swim test in order to go on the waterslides which I thought was responsible and fair.Cheap admission: it only cost us 20 dollars for myself, 3, 6 and 11 year old. We will be back :)
Great staff, facilities and rules. We spent almost the whole day they were open here and both my 11 year old and under 2 yr old had a blast the whole time!
Great water park! Take a trip or two down the slide, itll get your adrenaline going for sure! Great prices and just long enough for an enjoyable evening swim with the kiddos.
The water park was okay despite the constant closing and reopening of different pool sections. The lifeguards are decent except some who give off a judgemental persona. The waterpark is LGBT+friendly and allows you to use locker room of choice. The concessions are a score since they are not overly priced.
This place is beautiful. You can feed ducks, skateboard, use playgrounds and there is a water park too.
Kind staff and decently clean. Waters warm, and my daughter loves it. Gets crowded on the weekends. But generally great on the weekdays.
Nice waterpark for the price, only negative is $6 for parents to come in to watch there kids! There should be a small fee for non swimmers.
It has all of the different attractions that one would hope for in a local water park. The regulations are a bit strict for the little ones - while I understand the reasoning behind the rules, it can be tedious to be within an arms length the entire time.
The guards enforce the rules and are very caring. The whole staff is highly professional and seem to be doing what theyre passionate about! Its great to see children recognize their swim coaches here on off days enjoying the same facility that they and their families do!
So fun for kids!!! Awesome swimming lessons!
Nice little park with ice skating in the winter at the pool. This is a summer park with ponds and water parks and lots of geese and ducks. The restrooms are closed for the winter season.
Very clean pools. Very attentive lifeguards
Nice public pool! 2 small water slides, a lazy river, little kids play area, and a lap pool with diving board! Park part is really nice with duck pond, garden area, and nice playground area.
