I checked the opening hours on the website and arrived to find the restaurant closed.

Extreme fail.We booked a table for 9 which was confirmed from their end and found them closed... ridiculous.A warning or notification that the restaurant was closed (despite stating its open today in the eveningwould have been appreciated and professional but oh well...

Place is closed, reservation button on fb still works and accepts bookings. Avoid.

Super nice owner and son! And food was amazing! We celebrated my daughters baptism with our family and, although we had some difficulties with some guests, the chef was SUPER accomodating and understanding. Thumbs up and keep it up! Definitely worth a visit 👍

The entrance to the restaurant is not welcoming at all. It is definitely not value for money. The staff were ok but we were all very disappointed.

!! I really do not recommend !!The owner is really disrespectful the way he talks to clients. Its like going to one of Gordons Ramseys kitchen nightmares.I have never been disappointed like this in a restorant. Prices are way to expensive for very small portions and lack of professionalism in plating. Not even up to standard with the environment of the place.You can search for any other steak house, and I guarantee it will be better than this garage try hard..

Service is very good and food is excellent. Owner knows his meats well and wouldnt give you anything which is not up to standard.Desserts were great.

The food was perfectly cooked, the staff was friendly, and the place is very well decorated!

My honest take that restaurant has much potential, as I expected far better from what the Steakhouse aims to be. Staff were friendly albeit slow considering there was 3 staff handling less than half a dozen tables, I dont expect it to take 30 mins just to take a food order on such a quiet evening. The ambience is nice and welcoming. Food was in my opinion decent but overpriced. Consider putting the menu on your website and leave ash trays outside for your guests.

First time visit at Wood and Coal, and surely not the last!Both T-bone steak and Angus rib-eye of Top quality and cooked as requested. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Good selection of wines.Would Recommend!

Starters took forever to arrive and the waiters as well as one of the managers lacked any knowledge regarding certain choices on the menu. The meat ordered was either under cooked or over cooked.

Redecorated but still run by the same owner and teamed with a new chef. The best place in town for a steak! Hope to see the gin menu back again!!!

Can avoid frozen food especially on seafood starters. Main courses and meat were acceptable but definitely not on a wow factor.

The restaurant is one of my favoriets in Malta. We enjoeyed our dinner. The meat was fresh and cooked perfectly. It was a great value for the money. We will definitly visit again.

The place has good food and a nice atmosphere. It also has a tv in case one wants to watch a game .... But it is mostly a social place where you meet with friends and have a couple of drinks and some food.

Good food , nice drinks, but during a football match with bass music it doesnt go.....plus too much music full bass for a sports bar 😂

Disaster, burned pizza, bbq chicken pizza without chicken, missing pizza, missing chips, missing drinks, when complained, the chef went out and argued with us, very unprofessional. Never again

For our main course we ordered tagliata and our son opted for a ribeye, all served with roasted potatoes and vegetables and it was delicious… Great choice of pizzas!…. The The food is excellent and very affordable… Delicious food ,good value for money and great service… The service was wonderfull… Could eat here everyday, would really recommend… Vegetarian Friendly, Gluten Free Options…

Decent food but nothing wow. The ambience is lovely which scores points but food will not amaze you. The linguini seafood tasted grainy and had the same sauce as my guests tortellaci. Pizza dough was good but toppings not that much. We doubt there were any porcini at all. All considered it was modestly good but over priced for what they serve.

Nice decor. Good that its a bit disconnected from the concentration of restaurants in other areas. Staff was very nice. Was slightly understaffed even for a week day. Caters for gluten free. No vegan options but accommodates. The main 2 negative things: was immediately hooked as soon as I saw Oyster mushrooms and truffle mushrooms on the menu for funghi pizza as I love them but was very disappointed to see these 2 types of mushrooms missing when served. On complaining, the waitress checked and she was told they ran out and apologised for not informing me before. Had I not been so hungry Id have rejected it. Secondly mens toilets need to be scrapped and re done. Theyre in quite a bad state.

Understated location yet, very cool and nice atmosphere inside. Staff are excellent and possibly one of the best restaurants for presentation and sublime taste. From meat to pizzas, the particular taste and the extra effort exercised by the whole Team is too evident. Definitely worth the money spent.

The place is nice and we loved the decoration.Nevertheless, we tried to book a table via the website but nobody answered our booking request.We decided to go directly to the restaurant and ask for a table.Regarding the food, I initially opted for a vegetarian burger. This burger was definitaley the worst I have eaten to this date ! Then I changed for the salmon which was really better and the vegetables where good too. Regarding my husbands’ burger the staff did not take into consideration the cooking type and finally the meat was overcooked.Not sure that we will come back there.

The food here is excellent, had the chicken and avocado burger. Although the setting is a club lounge with few sit down typical tables, there is a lot of ambient noise, great for a lively get together but not so good for a quite meal. The decors is stylish with an industrial feel. The bar is well stocked especially with different gins. Parking also is not impossible so all in all it is worth a visit.

Great place to hang out, food was good, great selection of platters, music was a bit on the loud side, but not annoyingly so, all in all really enjoyable.

The pizza its good but nothing special. In the rucula pizza the flavours are too mixed, you cant distinguish none of them.

Mixed feelings. Service was poor, speed was awful as we waited over an hour for three burgers and a tagliata. The quality and taste was good. Happy with gluten free options. Finally dessert was a fantastic finale.

The food here is amazing and the portions are generous as well. Moreover, they offer gluten-free and lactose free items, and have the best gluten free pizza on the Island. The staff is also very nice and really helpful. VERY RECOMMENDED!!

The poorly-located restaurant has practically non-existent waiter service. After 30 minutes we asked for some menus and we got them.The over priced meat was abysmal in taste, to say the least. The chips never even arrived and we had to ask for it and it came practically after the meal was finished.The final bill had nearly double of everything, so we also had to make sure to recalculate whatever we ate in order to calculate thr correct bill. Of course, the waiters were baffle.The chocolate fondant? Youd think itd have a creamy inside. Nope, just a regular muffinI wouldnt recommend! At least as a Steakhouse, I dont know about the pizza. One can only hope!

My husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner. I was very disappointed with the overall service and experience.I ordered a duck salad, which arrived too cold, however I did not complain to the waiter and ate it. However the temperature of the duck was too cold even for a salad.My other half ordered the pizza. This also arrived half cooked. when we asked the chef about this he rudely told us that he had cooked it to a specific temperature. We tried to explain nicely that whilst the ingredients tasted good, the centre of the pizza was not cooked. The tomato sauce was raw and the mozzarella was still solid. The pizza was half cooked.Instead of being helpful, the chef rudely took the plate of half cooked pizza, and never returned it. Instead we were given two small glasses of liqueur..and no explanation as to why the pizza was never returned cooked.I would not recommend this place to any one due to the poor service received, I am surprised that paying customers are treated in that way.

Great casual dinner restaurant.Location is relatively good, 5min walk from the Attard parish church, but not one of the best.The environment is welcoming with a modern rustic interior design which goes hand in hand with its name. The place could have used a stronger air condition especially closer to the kitchen area. Staff are polite but a bossy head chef (Im assuming its the owner), ruined the calm experience we had while ordering.The menu is varied which includes a great selection of grilled meats and pizza. Prices are average, which fairs well since food was really tasteful. Everyone was satisfied with no complains whatsoever.Maybe even more impressive than the food was the service. Waiters were attentive even when it got busy. Never rude, always replied in a gentle manner, performed their duties gracefully without excessive rush.Will definitely recommend it for a casual family/group night out in winter (too cosy for the summer months).

I had the rump steak and Ive truly never eaten such a good meat! It was cooked to perfection and the taste was more than delicious! Great atmosphere and air-conditioned!! Staff was super nice! Really recommendable!
