Description
Privilege
We had the buffet. And it was a nice meal.
Had the smorg. It was passible but at that price it should have been great.
The buffet is worth every penny 👍🏼👍🏼
Went there on Wednesday night It was Theyre Buffet night Really good food at a reasonable price
MoreBest fried rice, who is chef thereHe is awsome
This is a must stop for our family whenever we are in Swift Current. This truly is some of the best food we have had. The ginger beef and chicken fried rice are amazing!
MoreVery dudappointed that there is no wheelchair acessability esp to the washrooms. Cannot get in or out w/o help & no wheelchair stall.
MoreI was there for a 75th anniversary and kind of family reunion, but also the rest of the family were there at the same time, so 2 large tables,1 in the upper and 1 in the lower. Ive even had your food at Christmas time. Loved it alot.
MoreBest Chinese food you’ll ever have
Nice place to eat after a day of baseball. Buffett was fresh and flavorful. Just what we needed.
MoreIt smelled musty upon arrival. But the food is absolutely fantastic. Everything is made from scratch. Even the spring rolls. Best prairie chinese food we have had. We ate 3 meals for both of us.
MoreWas passing bye and ordered take out for our ride home. We got dinner for 4 with pan fried squid and Cantonese chow main. We got home to find no Cantonese chow main but 2 moo goo guy pan. The sweet and sour shrimp was over cooked and the ginger fried beef was like chewing beef jerky. Our family was so disappointed in this meal that we ended up throwing out the shrimp and ginger fried beef. We will never eat at this place again. If you are ever passing through medicine hat stop at buffet medicine hat and taste what real Chinese food tastes like.
MoreFood was great and service was amazing!
Wongs is a favourite for many years. If you like Hot and Sour soup then Wongs is the place for you. It’s good but kicked up a notch to great in fact it’s the best I’ve ever had. The other favourites include Special wontons, special fried rice and ginger chicken. If you’re looking for a super special dish you have to try the Steak Kew. Start the meal off with one of the best egg rolls anywhere.
MoreNot an authentic Chinese restaurant. The chicken chow mein had no noodles. Mein literally means noodles in Chinese. Dont advertise a dish as being something its not. They were steamed vegetables with chicken. A lot of the buffet items were overly salty.
MoreDine-in only, buffet was one of the best I have experienced, although limited selection. Not being a fan of breaded meats, I was extremely impressed as each one was excellent. None were soggy, none were greasy or heavy. Food is constantly being replenished in small portions, therefore was always fresh. My favorite was the lemon chicken. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!
MoreLOVE the war wong tong soup!! Veggie dishes are plentiful and tasty. Dining in was appreciated but found the atmosphere/decor a little too dark. I have often thought that enjoying a meal in a restaurant of "traditional" foods, might also have "traditional" background music. Just my opinion🤷♀️
MoreProbably the worst food Ive ever had... and expensive.
Had a great meal, tasted great , lots of food.
Mei Mei is just as good because they have more variety. The chicken drumsticks have entirely to much breading on them, Im almost full after 1 of them. You better make sure you call ahead if youre looking for a buffet because they feel the need to just stop the buffet at any time they think business is slow which is very disappointing. The least they could do in this situation is to give the people that are there the option to choose whatever menu items they want and as much as they want for buffet price.
MoreThis restaurant has been our family go to place for Chinese food for decades but in the past several years had been disappointed. We had some disappointment with take-out during the pandemic so I wasnt looking forward to going but my wife made me go for old time sake. I have to say that it was the best Chinese food that we have eaten in many years. Serving size were huge, food was delicious and prices were below what I am used to paying. Server staff were friendly and very helpful.
MoreI just got my order....the screwed up. I wanted Singapore noodles not Shanghai...it was bland, fried rice was bland. Also, the ribs were breaded very heavily, which was disappointing. I probably wont be ordering here again. The beef mixed with veggies: the broccoli was mushy, so I think it was going bad. In the end, I tossed food in the garbage.
MoreOur experience for ordering here was not that great. We had a bug in our chop Sue with almonds. The person who we talked to didnt seem to concerned because he said if we did not end up in the hospital we obviously would be ok and then presented to tell us that this happens. I dont feel this was very good customer service. If you cared about your customer you would not say this happens.needless to say mistakes can happen but when you dont want to hear your customer complaint and come up with excuses this will not be good for future business.
MoreThe food in this restaurant is one of the best I have ever tried. The quality is perfect and price is cheap compared with the quality and size of the portion.
MoreNice restaurant nice food and nice people there。This place is our must go every time we pass by. Their food is very delicious. Especially our children like it very much. The staff in the shop are very polite.
MoreGood food..reasonable price...fast...no indoor dining for the un-vaxed.
Very clean place ..food hot and fresh but did not have much flavor 😕
First time trying wongs kitchen , ordered the combo for 4 . Everything was delicious, will be ordering here again🙂
MoreHad the dinner for 1A and shared it with another person. Absolutely amazing, had it for take out and everything was fresh and hot. Would highly recommend
MoreBest Chinese food Ive had on a long time , awesome service clean and price was very reasonable, so much food we had to take most home.
MoreIve eaten here many times. This is my familys favorite restaurant for Chinese food. They have the best Wongs fried rice and Cantonese noodles. The wor wonton soup tastes delicious and is a huge portion for the price. Order the deep fried wontons, you wont be sorry! The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.
MoreToouch fat, especially in the giant sized spring rolls, but there was some much needed veg in some dishes, which more than made up for the extra fat, thank you front line workers!!
MoreIve been going through Swift Current Saskatchewan and discovered this place. Amazing food service atmosphere and prices. You gotta try the Wongs Special Won Ton I highly recommend.
MoreOrdered takeout from Wongs and was treated to their great food.Staff were all protected in PPE and there were great public safety measures put in place for their customers.
MoreNothing really special, just a place to eat. Atmosphere feels cold. Our server looked like she didnt want to be there. So it made me feel the same way.
MoreOutsider passing thru and dropping my daughter off for a work placement. Stopped here for a late supper. Huge portions. Great food. Very friendly and accommodating staff, full of advice and activity recommendations. A fantastic experience.
MoreFresh food at the lunch buffet even though we showed up near the end. Tasted great and was located right off the TCH. Couldnt ask for more 😊
MoreFantastic! Stopped in with a hockey team on the bus and gave them very little warning. We were eating great food within 20 minutes of being there and the staff was quick and friendly.
MoreService was fair. Orded ginger beef came out pretty over done. Rest of the food was was pretty good. One thing Ive noticed and its not just this restaurant, is the oil or whatever they are cooking in has a very off- putting taste to it. I noticed this about a year ago and most Chinese places I have tried since has that same taste, not sure what it is but tastes different from what it used to in a bad way. Anyway the server I had did not charge for the G beef.
MoreSeemed clean. Nice decor. Lemon meringue pie was frozen! :-( noodles and veg were good. Not much flavour with other choices like wings or chicken today. Goid if skbrine doesnt like spices. First time. Probably would go to different place for Chinese next time as it was expensive for the selection & taste.
MoreOrdered the "Combo A" with fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, and spare ribs. Perhaps I was misheard as I ended up receiving the battered-batter, as I may have had two grams of chicken per ball. Decor was fun and service was good.
MoreIt was my second visit and the food was amazing again! Waitress wasnt eager to respond, but friendly enough when she finally came over. Overall, great spot for the cost!
MoreAmazing food for an amazing price. Non greasy and very tasty. Huge meal portions. Service was incredible, she heard us mention a hotel and brought us plates and forks with leftovers without us even asking!
MoreThe best place to order Chinese in town in my opinion. I have ordered large pick ups(for 8+ peopleon more occasions then I can count and have almost never had an item that was below expectations for flavour or portion. Also, in all those times Ive made large orders I dont think they have ever screwed up my order. That in itself is worth 3 stars.
MoreOnly had their buffet here but it was really good. Everything was hot and their wonton soup was awesome. Cozy atmosphere and not too loud even if its pretty busy. Would definitely come here again
MoreThe eggrolls are awesome, wonton soup was pretty good and the servers never let you see the bottom of your drink glass. Impressed on my first visit.
More4 adults 2 kids one celiac the service was great the food really good the waitress helped make sure our gluten free child was looked after as well to make sure we did not order more than we needed awesome night
MoreGot the dinner for one. The ribs were huge(but very little meatthe pineapple chicken balls were bigger than a golf ball and had a good sized piece of chicken in it. And fried rice.
MoreStopped in on my way through to Regina. Nice place for a quick lunch. Friendly service, decent buffet selection. The deep fried shrimp was excellent.
MoreDont expect the standard North American Chinese food experience here.Chicken chow mein was stir fry veggies with a small handful of crispy yellow noodles thrown haphazardly on top, and I finally understand why most restaurants list their Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs as being "boneless" - these were bone-in, very fatty, and overall unappetizing. 2/3 of the guests at our table poked at our S&S pork ribs and pushed them to the size.Portion sizes on the ala carte menu items such as Ginger fried chicken or beef were very large, however, and made up for the lack of edible food on the Dinner for One plate.Service was decent, friendly, and fairly quick, which helped earn the second star of this review. The atmosphere inside makes the building seem much bigger than its outside appearance, and at the time of our visit there was ample room inside, even with over half the parking lot full.
