Love the food, great flavours. Wish I could eat every night.
The food was great. Service was good.
I were surprised to found "woks-up" Chinese restaurant in Tennant Creek has very Hight quality food that you cant find even in Alice Springs. The food tastes are just fine. Not too salty or not too sweety. Beef was fresh. Salt & pepper baramandi is perfect feyed with fresh oil. It was delicious! It was so good that the data beef,
Lovely inside, modern and charming at the same time. Really nice meals. and great staff. fast with the food.
Stopped for an early dinner and the food was amazing!
Excellent salt & pepper prawns and the best satay sauce👍🏾
I’ve had better Chinese food coming from Perth however probably the best (and onlyChinese food you’ll get in this area.
Fantastic food and great service. Definitely worth stopping here for dinner. Everyone was very friendly and quick service. Met the owner who had an amazing story and was a very good man.
Tasty Asian food with fair prices. Satay and stir fry dont come with rice so make sure to add that to your order! Cute dining area or you can get takeaway.
If you want to get a quick meal in TC you could do a lot worse than eat at Woks Up.
A hidden gem. Seriously good portions, perfectly cooked and presented, and tasty as....
Enjoyed our meal, nice to have some veg/vegan options. Friendly and speedy service
Hospitable warm receptionist, good ambiance but get disappointed with what I’ve ordered. I reckon they can do better that that. Ordered vegetarian fried rice that has barely veggies in it and Singaporean noodles that has more noodles and little bit of veggies but doesn’t taste Singaporean noodles. I’ve should ask egg but I thought they will add into that.
We got the mixed vegetables with garlic made spicy Mixed vegies and singapore noodles... veggie style.. and then we tried the chocolate spring roll with ice cream... omg.. you have to try... one of the best chinese restarants i have eaten at in australia... if you are passing through tennant creek.. do your taste buds a huge favor and check this place out... i would recomend eating in...
An incredible restaurant that deserves the high rating you find on here. In fact, anyone awarding this less than 5 stars has such high standards... Id hate to try and date them! The restaurant was lovely, the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Do yourself a favour and make sure you stop here to try the Satay Beef - you will not leave dissapointed!
I asked for half black bean and half sweet and sour pork and I received a half full container of mostly veggies 5 little pieces of pork and some beef with no apparent black bean sauce... for the pice of the meal I feel the container should be full but I got more value from the separate container containing my sweet and sour sauce then what I did from my main container... would recommend boycotting this place as they are not value for money and are simply taking advantage of travelers who have little choice for dinner beyond the pubs and service stations.
A smile, such friendly service. Seeing food walk by and the smells fron the kitchen had me salivating. The menu is extensive. Real mushroom soya gravy makes the combination omelette. I can see why all the locals are here.
I have eaten Chinese food all around Australia and have to say this is one of the best… food is fantastic do yourself a favour and try it if ever in Tennant Creek
We ordered takeaway food for dinner. The food was delicious but we waited for an hour for it.
Great Chinese foodQuick and helpful serviceExcellent air conditioningNot licensed so take a beer or two if requiredHighly recommended
Wow, this place rates a 6!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ best Chinese in the NT 😋 absolutely delicious, friendly staff, awesome dining experience!!
Waited 1 hr and 20 minutes for a take away order. Only a handful of tables were occupied in the restaurant.Food was nice.
This place is a very good chinese restaurant in the outback. BYO and grog shop is just across the road.
Best meal in a long time
I appreciate the effort however I am disappointed. My dinner was not flavorful and lacked seasoning. The cost was a bit steep for the outcome of the meal.
Friendly efficient service every visit. I love coming back to Woks Up. Had the seafood Chop Suey with crispy noodles, best seafood combo Ive had in years. Yum thanks... Ill be back soon.
Good food but be prepared to wait a looooong time for it to arrive!
The food was great, tasty and well-made. Spring rolls were particularly excellent. The staff were very helpful when we rolled in, slightly dazed, at 8pm in the evening.
Just had an amazing meal at Woks Up in Tennant creek. Staff, Food, Pricing, service and venue all 1st class! Do not miss the opportunity to dine here if you do have the chance! 10/10 👌👍

3 trips 3 meals tempted to say best Chinese takeaway in the NT - super fresh , hot and so tasty
Of all the locations that youd expect to find great Chinese food - Woks Up in Tennant Creek. You surely did not disappoint. The food took me back to some of my favourite underground Chinese food joints back in Auckland. 5 ⭐s for sure.
The service was very good, (take awaythey were quick and the food was very yummy!
I’ve eaten here many times while travelling. Food is fresh and service is prompt. Great tasting food.
Took work colleagues to dinner last night, was a great experience. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was DELICIOUS and great value for money. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much!!!
The food here was delicious and after a long drive, it hit right where it needed to.Service was great - its really quiet at the moment due to COVID-19 and it being off season. The two young girls who were at the front counter brought us to our seats, and we got to meet Pierre who runs the restaurant, who made us feel right at home.If you only get a chance to have one meal in Tennant Creek, you cant go wrong with Woks Up.
I never write reviews for restaurants, but the atrocious customer service here has inspired me to make an exception. We walked into Woks Up and were completely ignored until we went up to the till, at which point the blonde girl behind the counter looked at us as though she was confused why we were there. After asking for a table for two, she just shrugged and said “just sit wherever”. None of the staff could be bothered to explain that orders were taken at the counter, and we weren’t even handed any menus (the ones on the table weren’t complete!).But the real laughably horrible service came as we returned to the counter to place our orders. There was another girl behind the register this time, and as we approached, another member of staff asked her if she could handle taking the order. The girl nodded yes (which turned out to be a complete lie). At first she appeared to be mute or refusing to speak to us. I asked if they could add tofu to the dish (an incredibly unreasonable request, apparently, for a town that is just four hours from Alice Springs and right off of the main highway!to which she just shook her head silently. We asked if she could make sure, and she turned without a word to get another member of staff from the back. Thankfully, he was very helpful and was actually able to answer questions. Unfortunately he let the first girl continue to take our order after that, at which point she seemed to decided she didn’t want to look at us either. We were just about ready to walk out at that point, but had been driving all day and were low on dinner options. Thankfully the food turned out to be quite nice, no complaints there. All in all, the girl who took our order definitely shouldn’t have been allowed to work the front (or anywhere at all franklyas she was just insufferable to deal with. If I was only rating the food I would have given four stars, only short of five because it’s a Cantonese restaurant that does not have tofu.
We ordered take away from here during our one night stay in Tennant Creek. My dim sims literally fell apart and the filling didn’t taste how I’m used to dim sims tasting. My husband enjoyed his vegetable omelette and we both liked the prawn toast- especially as they were coated in sesame seeds.Easy parking. Friendly service.
Best chinese food for at least a thousand kilometres! Lovely restaurant which I miss from living in Tennant Creek. Great friendly staff and fantastic food. P.s chocolate spring rolls!
We stopped in Tennant Creek for 1 night and decided to try Woks Up. It was the best meal wed had since leaving Adelaide a week ago. In fact I think its the best Asian food outside of Asia. Its a definite must if youre visiting the town. Food is amazing!!! So tasty. Well visit again on our way back through.
Excellent food and friendly service. Great vegan options - we had the spring rolls, satay vegetables and fried rice and all were delicious. Thank you!
Super delicious Chinese food. I had veggies in mushroom sauce and it was so tasty. Really friendly service too. Highly recommend!
Got takeaway after setting up camp. Chicken in peanut sauce, boxing chicken, chicken and corn soup and spring rolls were all delicious. Better than darwins chinese food.
Some of the best Thai food in the territory. Wonderful if you catch them open when you are passing through, and great the locals have such a nice restaurant :)
Such delicious food! Served freshly cooked and made to order. Nice atmosphere too !
Unexpected, delightfully delicious food in Tennant Creek!! I had my doubts about good food in this town but this place is delicious!! Decent serving portions and super friendly staff make it even better!! BYO too, bonus!
We stayed across the road at Goldfields Hotel and for dinner we ordered food for 14 people, enough to feed the town. The food was delicious and we ate so much. Most of us ate the leftovers for breakfast and it tasted just as good.I mean, if you are tired of just eating pub food all day, Woks Up is the place to go.
