Wok Box - Edmonton Airport in Wetaskiwin

I ordered the regular Dan Dan bowl with chicken. There were barely two strips of chicken in it and the noodles didnt seem to be well tossed in the sauce. They have a misleading digital board stating if you download the app you get 25% off on your first order. That is true, but it doesnt work at the airport location as that one is not added to the app. The staff working there had no idea about it either, or even if any such thing existed. Overall not such a good experience.

Terrible service and the food is awful, you’re better off going hungry

Blech. Pad Thai does not taste anythjng like pad Thai and is mostly veggies barely noodles. The veggies tasted... Fermented? It almost tastes like nothing. No it just tastes like eating a box of raw onions. It was not appetizing at all.Also did not honor the $5 Thursday deal for a side order.Green onion side just tasted like fry oil.Ultimately I spent $24 on this meal and could only force myself to eat half of it. The rest went into the trash.

Tried butter chicken with rice and naan. No where close to actual butter chicken. They mixed separate gravy and boiled chicken and served with pita bread. Not even actual Indian style naan. Even after mixing the chicken with gravy, I get taste of boiled chicken. Could not even finish my meal. Not recommended for sure.

Horrible customer service! Cashier is so rude, no smile, no thank you. She even swore with her own language behind the counter when she didnt know I actually understood. Very unprofessional! The pad thai tastes like trash for $15! Stay away from this place, not worth your time and money!

Korean Bulgogi wasnt what I would consider Bulgogi, but it tastes ok, nothing outstanding. Service was pretty fast.

Worst butter chicken I have ever tasted. I asked the staff and they assured me this is how they cook it. Tasted like bowled or microwave chicken dumped in sauce on rice. Chicken was rubber like..... Have had it before and was good but ......

Just average. And I am compensating with an extra star for being in the airport.Food quality was inferior to Wok Boxes outside of the airport and the seasoning was off. Prices are higher for being in the airport. Seating was dirty and poorly upkept. Would try another place in the airport next time.

Ive never done this in my life, but this food is horrible!! I was starving and couldn’t finish the dragon chicken. Just avoid this at all costs. The food tasted like nothing.

Worst box of ginger beef ever! Only veggies were onions with two or three pieces of green pepper. Dry and tasteless!!

Please update your hours if the ones reflected on Google are incorrect. Arrived at 8:59 AM, only to be told they were “not ready” to accept any orders and it would be another 10 minutes.Time on Google says they open at 8:30 AM..

Had the butter chicken poutine which was surprisingly good. The portion was pretty big and the sauce was pretty good. The only problem is that there wasnt a lot of chicken or cheese curds.

Rice was cooked with more than enough water, boiled chicken breast, sliced and just tossed with sauce.. and thats it.. chicken tasted bland..

Our plane has been delayed so we were given food vouchers. I was with 4 other company and they all went to Wok Box and was able to buy food with the vouchers. When it was my turn the lady said they dont accept food vouchers. (Mind you I already bought food here 2 hrs ago when our flight wasn’t announced as delayed yet so it’s not like I couldn’t pay for my food.Also had to wait for like 10 mins before they pay attention to you on the counter. The food I bought with my money was ok, noodles were a little soggy. Wish their management will train them how to deal with customers properly.

Food did not taste good AT ALL!! Rice tasted like it wasn’t cooked. And my order was beef bulgogi which tasted nothing like bulgogi! And to top that beef was hard to chew!

Awful experience. Ordered Cripsy Chicken. And went over the the counter where a takeout container was shoved in my hands. I tried to confirm with the server that it was “crispy chicken” and she rudely said it was “chicken” and walked away. It was only after I sat down at the departure lounge to eat did I notice that they gave me the wrong order. I walked back to ask tell them that it was the wrong order only to be rudely scolded “Why did you take it then?” Not sure what exactly I did to deserve this rude service. Just glad that I checked before I got on the plane.

1 star is too much...the lady was so so rude i regret wasting my money there. I saw a number of similar reviews but seems like they will treat their customers with such ride behavior. I ordered on 17 October at 6 pm. I dont know the name of the lady. But i will ask my friends to avoid this place. Also they make fun of thier customer on face in their own language.

Very racism, there was a white young lady before me purchased a Sunday special which is buy regular box get a kid meal free. The cashier didnt ask her where is her kid. When I my turn, I wanted to get the same thing. The same cashier told me I can only get one free kid meal even I am buying two regular boxs, which Im okay with it. When iam paying, the cashier asked me where is my kid. I told her my kid is not with me now, she just rolled her eyeballs and said this is for kid not for you. The cashier is ascian and i am Asian as well. If you dont want any Asian customer, I wound say put on a sign and announce it.

Food was hot which was nice. Apparently vegetables arent a thing. Quantity was meh. Prices were not great. It was filling but it was ultimately just rice and some kinda eh sugary beef thing. Safeway does it better for a third the price.

Dont eat here. Staffs are horrible. Food is not good at all.

never write reviews but this terrible pho was so appalling that I had to. huge pho person (very unpicky as wellbut this tasted like mushy over cooked noodles soaking in dirty dishwater. literally hated my life eating this. couldn’t pay me the $11 I threw away to re-order this

2 stars for the eatable food. But the lady there on July 12, 2021 around 1pm was disrespectful and unprofessional, not just with us but everyone in the line. She didnt even reply if customer didnt understand something the first time and was being mean without any reason until I had a word with her ofcourse.

Went to place order, no one around, tried ringing bell to no avail. Then knocked on counter by doorway, still nothing. Then gently nudged cart by entrance into kitchen door to knock on it, and eureka that worked.Grumpy female comes out and I said sorry I tried bell, knocking etc.Miserable lady, I got a delicious won ton soup and apologized for disturbing her. She declined to speak during the entire exchange. This at 1 pm, lunch hour. One other person saw my struggles and went to find another outlet where the staff are engaged.

Service was terrible. Woman at the till was extremely rude, my girlfriend ordered the vegan firecracker noodles and they served us chicken. When we asked for a remake the woman just argued with us, saying that we ordered chicken when we clearly didn’t seen as we’re both vegetarian. She then proceeded to ask if we were fine with just adding vegan chicken or tofu to the noodles so she didn’t have to remake it.. which made absolutely no sense. The woman in the wok then remade the dish in about 20 seconds this time, veg not fried, tofu raw and noodles swimming in sauce. Food tasted horrific, I got the lemongrass curry and neither of us could finish our meals because it was that bad. 0 stars if I could.

Really fast service, friendly and watching them prepare the food they’re very clean! Food is good and what you expect from a fast food Asian restaurant, happy with what I got.

Highly overpriced and the chicken described in reality tastes and looks suspiciously as if it were made of tofu. Will never consider this place again.

Friendly and fast service. Unfortunately the food was mediocre and expensive. I ordered the chicken pad thai and the box was not full. The chicken tasted spongy, and the box was filled with bean sprouts and other vegetables instead of noodles. It was very saucy. It did not taste like pad thai, but the taste was not bad. Overall a quick bite, but I hoped it would be better.

Quick affordable airport meal. Some product quality is lacking but you get what you pay for. Would recommend for an easy lunch.

Mediocre at best. Got the pad Thai, noodles are little starchy from being in the package prior to cooking. Beef came in large pieces and there was not a lot of flavour in the sauce.

Soggy and too much sauce, just dumped some sesame mix on my food when I asked for no sesame. Service was dodgy and they scanned my card a way Im almost sure I got card skimmed. But get its an airport... Like everyone else says.

I dont eat at wok box, the box is filled with noodles no meat or vegetables. I eat at Deluxe burgers 2 go.. next door.

🚼 Yes, washroom located next to ordering counter.WokBox is a fast food chain restaurant that competes in the quick noodle meals...Presentation is good, and quick to receive orders.. however, the reviews from others are correct, flavors are very bland. We ordered 🥢 PadThai, DanDan, and SpringRolls..Even the springrolls lacked seasoning..2⭐ is very appropriate for this location..Would have given it 3⭐ if i can differentiate the flavors from each selection..

The cashier was very nice lady. But can’t say even “acceptable” for the food... wonton which should be chicken, nothing inside but flavour. Terrible.m taste for Thai curry... I know I shouldn’t expect more however I already lower my expectation still unacceptable food in this location...

The noodle boxes are not very flavourful, but they are filling. Good enough considering the lack of selection of places to eat in this airport.

Good spot to grab gluten-free optionsvin the airport. The space was clean and they had quick service.There was a nice sitting area reserved for the patrons of wok box across from the restaurant. It was a nice touch to be able to eat in a quieter section.

Worst place I’ve even been to don’t eat here! The food is disgusting and the guys are beyond rude. I ordered a butter chicken naan wrap and had to say it like the 3 times and the guy got frustrated and said I ordered the butter chicken meal. And my friend said I heard him say three times what he wanted. And I even pointed at what I wanted in case he didn’t understand English and he got more angry and rude. Also took long to take my payment I wish I just cancelled my order and walked away because they gave me lots of rice and a few pieces of chicken and it was gross. Please don’t ever eat here whatever you do, worst experience of my life I wish I reported this to the airport to someone in management. They shouldn’t be aloud to treat people this way. Especially in Canada maybe it’s okay wherever their from but here in Canada we practice decency and respect! Especially towards First Nations and the people of treaty 6. Whose land they are standing on and have their restaurant on in the Edmonton Airport they need to either treat people with respect or be fired and take their business elsewhere.

I was expecting more flavours. I had a noodle meal, maybe Ill try something else the next time. Service was pretty fast.

Ordered butter chicken. Got microwaved chicken chunks in a plastic bag mixed with barely room temperature butter chicken sauce. Naan bread was rock solid....guy at cash made no effort to actually acknowledge me, he did not say one word. Very disappointed. Will never have wokbox ever again.

Horrible service. The employees mocked the customer in front of me and I had to confront them for them to stop. They argued about providing me a receipt. This is the first place I have ever seen such bad service.

Mehhh. Samosas were not great, more of a curry taste than expected. They did come out with a vegan Yam Chips “chicken” option which was nice. This place is like the only restaurant with vegan options at this airport.

Just got the pad Thai and am disappointed. Mostly onion ans celery in mine and the flavour isnt very good. Could have made better at home with less ingredients

The wonton soup at Wok Box is one of the worst things Ive ever eaten. The broth tasted like salted water and the wontons were thick, starchy wrappers with a tiny amount of tasteless filling inside. It was one of those times that I wish I complained and got something else, but I had a flight to catch so I didnt have time. Very disappointing.

I took my partner here for a layover date. We shared a sumo meal - which lived up to its name. We left happy, worth a visit!

Well done wok box! Chicken firecracker rocks!!
