Road safari through animal enclosures, foot safari with keeper talks/demos and a high ropes course.
So, I went yesterday with my son and parents. It’s was ok. Admittedly, it was cool day about 15°c and the animals were cold. The tiger walked along the fence repeatedly. I am not sure if that’s normal behaviour for a zoo animal. There is LOTS of food places but still huge queues. Food is meh.I am not sure what I expected? But it’s not value for money. Maybe worth a visit in the summer or if kids REALLY love sad animals.
Lovely to see the animals in the wide open spaces. There are also smaller caged areas for the smaller animals and a sea lion tank. Birds of prey and exotic birds. Certainly worth a visit
Phenomenal attraction and well worth the price. Plenty of animals all out and about with lions and monkeys coming right up to your window. Lots of staff around to keep you safe and cared for. Walk-in attractions also good fun and included, can easily spend an entire day here, our 4 hour stay wasnt long enough to experience it all! Only gripe is that the food is incredibly expensive as there isnt much else around, definitely recommend bringing your own for a picnic.
It was my birthday trip and I had a simply amazing experience and a lot of fun. It was my first Safari by car. There were so many kinds of animals. Ofcourse monkeys are the best of the best. :)Everyone just wait when some monkey jump on his/her car and I got it :) Was a little bit sad that many kiosks were closed, but thats understandable because its autumn, it was Monday and there arent that many visitors anymore.
Had a wonderful day at Woburn Safari! It is an absolute must for any young families. Much better then a conventional zoo as you are sat in your car with monkeys sitting on the bonnet or Rhinos chilling next to the car.
Visited this summer, gazelle, bear, giraffe lion. They are all stars in their own way. Loads to see, afun day trip worth being in nature. The kids loved it
Great to be able to see the animals in their large enclosures on the road safari. Some of the animals on the foot safari like to stay out of view so its worth checking when the keepers are having a demonstration when they will be out.
Well what can I say and where do I start???My family and I had the most amazing day at the safari, we saw a lot of the animals up close and it was amazing, we done the drive twice and yea its a different experience each time, the price for the all of use was at reasonable price, the food was ok too. Definitely would recommend and we will definitely be going back.
Had such a great day. There were not enough hours left in our day. We could have easily stayed longer. Got to see all of the animals and had the joy of monkeys on the car, which, of course the kids loved.
A remarkably well maintained, superb safari park. Strong environmental & conservational park, an amazing array of animals in spectacular surroundings. Will definitely visit again
Great day out the Safari was brilliant saw lots of different animals, our son loved the monkeys then walked round the leisure area and saw the sea lions, a bird show and had some lunch then before we left we did the Safari again and actually saw some animals we didnt get to see the first time. Great day out.
Fun day out with the family at the Safari!Nice place for picnic,The monkeys were my highlight, jumping from one car to the other Lol! I found it hilarious!Lions were just chilling, like literally, just lying down, enjoying the attention. The bear, took a little dip in the little pond beside it as the weather was very hot, Giraffe and Zebras looking elegant and beautiful. There is a soft inflatable around the corner, for under 5s.There are a few restaurants on site and ice cream areas.I recommend you pay them a visit
The worse I ever been. I won’t recommend to anyone in my life. Shame on you. We paid £57.98 for an hour safari,Extremely disappointed! Way too many people being let into the safari, mostly gridlocked with no view of animals. As soon as you open the windows all you can smell is the car exhuasts and clutches, cant imagine this is any good for the animals. Occasionally, feeding some animals and the giraffe which was good. Needs time slots to reduce the amount of cars through the safari. Enclosures are boring for the animals with little to no enrichment! Animals looked extremely bored and fed up. The safari is so run down now, clearly all the money has gone to the lodges.Lack of animals and mostly tigers .Most things to do are at an added on cost.Certainly will not recommend to anyone and will not visit again!
This park is wonderfulDont be deterred by the ticket price as u wont be dissapointed! The walk about safari is not big but its enoughThe drive thru safari is awesome and u can drive it as many times as u like before 4.45 which is the last drive thru as it takes over an hour!Animals up close and amazingEach round (we did 3we saw something we did not see oh the firstIts a 2 lane road so some people stop for a while but as long as the other lane is free you can overtake at a respectable pace for the wildlife aroundThe monkeys are hilarious and yes we saw them breaking wing mirrors just sitting on them and a rear wiper as the money grabbed it on his way down, so be prepared if you have a car u cant cope with any damage then avoid the monkeys. Its a great day outThere are a couple of pay on site things but on the whole the park is yours for the ticket pricePlenty of picnic spots with tables in and out of the shadeThe train is not worth the wait or 20 mins as its very creaky squeaky and u dont see loads but we were party of 2 adults , but if we had young kids Im sure it would have been fun for the train alone lol
It’s good fun as a novelty and does feel a bit like you’re in Jurassic park. Don’t be concerned about the monkeys on your vehicle - they’re fine. The lake and all that stuff is more of a value add; personally I’d say don’t waste your time there or at the restaurant but instead go around the safari at least once more - you will see things you didn’t before and animals doing things they weren’t before!!Overall, it’s worth doing but probs not a regular thing.
Visited with our children last summer and it was absolutely fantastic! We drive through ti see the monkeys 3 times. Our 1 year old daughter found it highly amusing.Unfortunately the lions didnt want to come our to play bit the tigers certainly did. Would definitely come back!
Good experience, thought it would be much bigger, but for the space it was well organised. Disappointed we didnt get to see the lions or tigers, but seeing the rest of the animals up close was amazing. Highlight of the trip was having a monkey jump and chill on the car windscreen.
We had the best experience at Woburn. The safari park is the obvious highlight and we were lucky enough to have some interaction with the ostriches, black bear and monkeys! Will be heading back this summer!
I never knew we had a safari park in the UK until 2 months ago. I eventually visited yesterday. It was good. I must say though that it was a bit disappointing that many of the wilder and more dangerous animals seemed exhausted and so they were lying down or having a nap. This could have because it was midday and they were probably exhausted and needed a nap. We could not see them in their full glory. Some were nowhere to be found even. Probably napping in the bushes. I loved the monkeys. They were very naughty and mischievous as expected of monkeys. The giraffes were the most curious. Locking eyes with us and probably wondering who these aliens are. We enjoyed walking around and the Parrot show was beautiful. You could tell the young lady handlers or trainers have been doing this for years. The parrots were amazing. We didnt get a chance at the train ride cause I was tired of waiting in line. About 25 minutes wait. The swan boat ride was good too. There are restaurants about, although we didnt use them. There are also toilets on site and lots of parking spaces. Overall, it was a nice experience.
This place is good, that"s why Ive been here thrice. Staff are very friendly and protective. There was a train ride, animal shows and kangaroo walk through. However, cafe queues are very long , which needs to beimproved.Clear big signs of entry and exit from the Safari would be good to have.Buying tickets online were easy they had slots to enter but not fuzzy about it.
Nice for kids but smaller than I expected. Safari was done quite quickly although we stopped quite a bit. The walking zoo is nice but also quite small if compared to similar places. Impressed by the proximity of lions and rhinos, they do get close and personal so dont take a brand new car if you are precious about it (lion bit our bumper but we didnt mind, its an interesting souvenir!).
Hello, this me and my dad and bob who took us around the safari park.we got so close to the rhinos, lion, monkeys, and my favourite the bears. Bobs really clever and tells you all about the animals.and knows all there names. Thanks bob for a great time.Jenson. Aged 4.
A wonderful park, you drive and admire the views. Lions, elephants, giraffes, rhinos and many other animals. Monkeys climb on cars. Very interesting for children. I recommend it.
This was an amazing experience. Firstly, I was surprised how big the park actually is. I was also really happy to see how many different animals there are, and that they have lots of space roam around in. There is also a good array of things to do (at no extra costincluding a slide and duck boats. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone for a nice day out.
Absolutely brilliant day! Animals were all happy, the staff were fantastic and there was lots to see and do! A special acknowledgement to Megan who works on the High Ropes. What an asset she is to the park!!! She was AMAZING with my daughter and gave her so much confidence and support! Give the girl a pay rise 👏👏👏 Thank You
We visited June 2022.We booked tickets online. Ticket from 1st April (ADULT 16+ years: £28.99 and (CHILD 3-15 years: £20.99There are time slots for the entry every hour. You can book one of them. better to book earlier time slot because you have lots of things to spend whole day there. Its opening at 9.30am and closes at 4.45pm. You cant enter before your time slot but you can go late. The trip can be divided into two parts.1.Road Safari - You can go by your car and see wild animals on the way including Giraffe, Elephant, Zebra, Rhino, Cow, Goat, Lion, Monkey, ducks etc ( Maximum 1.5 hrs enough )2. Foot safari - After finish road safari, you can park your car walk around and see animals like hen, Otter, Meerkats, mongoose, porcupine, sea lion, Penguin, Monkey etc. In foot safari there are lot of fun activities like boating, train trip, Parrot demo, Outdoor Play area, indoor play area, mammoth play ark, café, gift shop etc etc.It will be a better day out for kids. If you take some snacks with you, you can enjoy while road safari. And If you pack some picnic food, you can enjoy them too. Because there are lots of space to sitting and running.
Hard to compare this to anything, as have not been on any safari or experience like it before.I really enjoyed coming and thought the price was reasonable. We went round twice which definitely felt like it was worth doing, managed to see some animals we missed the first time.I especially loved the monkey part :-I would say the shop is quite overpriced but I guess they have big upkeep costs!
Ive been there so many times and I keep coming!Awesome place where animals are really being taken good care of.Unlike Zoos, animals can enjoy a lot of freedom!Just make sure to always watch whats going on around your car in the "drive-through" safari, as this time, someone lost a mirror and another car got a bump in their front door (done by some sort of Alpine Ibex - the brown/red animal will horns in my first photo I posted).Last time, a little Peugeot lost one of their lights at the back when a few red cows with big horns decided to pass, and an Audi got a "bump" on their bonnet when one of these big cows decided to jump on it a couple of times! 😅
I enjoyed the Safari Park however not so much the walking zoo part. For those that worry about monkey jumping on cars during the Safari journey There is an option to skip it if you want. We were very excited about seeing tigers but unfortunately the first round going in there were no Tigers, so at the end of the day we went around again for a visit - going around the second time it’s free of charge. As for the walking zoo there was not enough enclosures, the canteen is outdated but very friendly and loyal staff. There are also activities such as the Dragon paddling (10 minsand a train ride around the park (15 minsand some good demonstrations and shows throughout the day for example parrots and sea lions were my highlights
Took my granddaughter her for her 3rd birthday she loved it so much shes now 7 must of been a memorable moment for her coz shes forever talking about so will be taking her back some time this year. Thanks for a memorable momentWe actually saw so many animals it was unreal n such enjoyable experience being so close to natures wildlife n building lasting memories with my legacy
We had such a lovely day especially that it was our first visit here, there were beautiful and well kept animals, the safari is very nice and clean, the monkeys were really 😁 on top of the cars 😁for sure we will repet this nice experience soon.
The safari part was decent but not amazing. The number of animals on offer is fairly limited and some of the "heavy hitters" (such as tigerswere a no-show during my visit. The foot safari however is abysmal, with little-to-no attractions, and the majority of animals which can be viewed on a farmers field. At £30 per head, Id say go Longleat instead.
Brilliant day out during the Easter bank holiday! You can only enter via car so best to do the road safari, best entertainment is with the monkey who may sit on your car so be careful in this section. Bears and other animal may cross the road/path. You can do the road safari several times and if you don’t want to do the monkey section take the bypass but I wouldn’t recommend that. Once done park up and explore the foot safari, there are animal shows every 15 minutes. Great day out for all ages!
Best safari in the UK I have visited. All animals are healthy and have loads of space to roam in. Wasnt too busy and traffic flowed through nicely. Watch out for the monkeys though as they enjoy jumping on the cars! The walking safari has plenty to see and also there is a big play area for young children indoors. All in all a good day out for the price!
Thought this place was just a car safari and it would be over in a couple hours but actually you can do the car safari unlimited times and theres also a foot safari! This includes 15 minute shows on various feeding/animal facts which I thought was brilliant. Theres also a boating section which we didnt get to do as it was extremely busy. Expected for a bank holiday weekend though. Monkey safari was the most interactive, had lots of fun there! Would definitely recommend to people out there!!
The best part of this safari is, you can drive in the park and animals come close to your vehicle. Its a must visit place. The entry fee is around 30 pounds but its worth paying. 30 pounds include entry and boating.
I chose to take us here because its supposed to be one of the best? Personally, West Midlands is far superior.Woburn entry tickets was expensive to begin with but OK... What I hated Wass that everything else inside then incurred additional cost. Sea lion show, £2 per person entry fee? This show was awful, no back up plan, the sea lion did not want to do anything (fair enough, its an animal, their choicebut it got ended after 5 minutes and all we had was an apology, didnt even give people their money back. The walk through safari was pretty drab, farm yard animals area had goats nothing else? Food in the restaurants was expensive as you expect at these places, but it was expensive and awful really. Baguettes tatsed stale. Chips was OK but like a childs hand full as a side. £3 for a bottle of pop 500ml. £2 for a small bottle of water. £38 for 5 drinks, 3 sides of chips, 2 baguettes and 1 sandwich. Nothing else. If we had known we would have taken a picnic for sure. The safari drive was OK, but again not as good as West Midlands in my opinion. Overall just a disappointing very expensive day. Cost after cost after cost.
Great experience, you can drive round at your own pace and see many of the animals including lions , elephants , rhinos and monkeys that climb on your car. The whole drive took around 1-2hours. At the end you stop at a walk around centre with smaller animals to see and talks. Toilets food and play areas also. There is a train and pedalos that are fun. There is also a seal show worth seeing. Tes of the shows are on displays around the map. You can also go around the drive safari again as mant times as you like.
Really enjoyed the visit. Its scary initially seeing big animals and cats roaming around you but then you start to appreciate and enjoy the habitat. My personal favourite is up and close with lions but I prayed hard that my car does not breakdown in their enclosure :). Overall, lush green place and good drive.
We had a fantastic time on the Safari Off Road Adventure VIP Experience. Getting up close to amazing animals on such a beautiful Safari Park.We all had a wonderful time especially the 3 year old. Feeding the Giraffes was amazing fun.Richard, our guide was very personable and knowledgable. Top guy and credit to him.Only thing they need to improve which hope they will consider doing is at foot safari is wayfinding as its unclear and confusing for people when going to certain animals.Overall I would highly recommend the Woburn Safari Off Road V.I.P Experience.Would definitely do again in future 5*
An amazing day out for animal lovers. The animals are well cared for and there is plenty to see and do. Bring food if you dont want to be shocked by on site prices (10.99 for a chicken curry and rice!)
Nice place, modest cost of the ticket considering it includes all expenses related to the Safari. Not far from London about a an hour. The time required to visit the park varies a lot I would say from 2-3 hours up to all day considering that you can do the tour several times to see the animals and that there is a picnic area. In addition to the car ride, there is a rest area before the exit where you can eat and find various services, plus there are also other animals. In total I think I saw rhinos and other herbivores entering then we go to the carnivore area where I only saw a tiger and a herd of lions, exiting there you can see elephants and giraffes with other herbivores, and in the rest area there are red pandas, sea lions, parrots, monkeys, penguins and sheep. All in all a nice experience that I will do again on a sunny day suggest.
Beautiful Safari park just one hour drive outside of London, we had an enjoyable time driving around and seeing animals. The monkeys came and sat on our car it was a pleasant experience. Also there are different shows we went to watch Naomi the cute sea lion which we really enjoyed. multiple restaurants and cafe’s around. Well kept area.
This is a lovely safari park near London. It is an hours drive. The park is very well managed. You drive around the park in your car and view the animals. There are cafes, restaurants, toilets, and parking spaces available in the park. The park staff are helpful and friendly. The park consists of wild animals and farm animals. You get plenty of opportunities to view the animals up close. Would highly recommend a visit.
Had an amazing morning with the animals roaming freely around the park. I did the drive through park and it was so much better than I expected. The drive paths are wide enough not to feel pressured by cars behind you every time you stop to enjoy the animals around, as theres always more than enough space for other cars to drive past you.Theres also a little park/leisure area where you can enjoy and some picnic tables too! Try doing the swan thing on the lake if you want to feel like a child again!Definitely worth the visit.
My kid and I love animals so much. Great place to go with kid. Have some much fun to see many Safari Animals in the city even our window attached by Ostrich twice.
Great day out with kids in winter when it is cold and not many outdoor activities. Instead of stuck in rooms sit in car and look outside + get some sunlight. Monkey area is fun for kids especially when they climb up on the car which makes kid really happy.
Wow what a place… 100% worth a visit. I took my 2 children (10 & 9and they absolutely loved it, from the moment we drove in they were amazed (as was I). For around £65 all 3 of us could drive in and get to see animals closer than ever before. The monkeys were a personal favourite but the lions, bears, giraffes were all a close 2nd. Then once you’ve finished the Safari (you can go again free of charge if you wantyou can walk around the other part with loads more animals, cafes and experiences. Great day out 😁
Great place, lots of space for the animals, can go at your own pace. Loved seeing the bears, rhinos and tigers. Staff very friendly, see you again soon! I love tigers and one came right up to the bonnet. Staff were nearby to encourage him to move on and we let him cross and carried on slowly. Really cool experience to be up close.
Visited for the first time and we absolutely loved it! We will definitely be back again very soon. We were really impressed with the variety of animals that the park has, along with all of the information and fun facts about each breed. We thoroughly enjoyed the drive through and walk around parks - both offered a very different but exciting experience. The staff around the park were all amazing, nothing was too much for any of them and they were all happy to answer questions we had about the animals. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to chat which is great. We watched several displays which were fascinating and very informative. We loved it and will definitely be back!
