Passing by, dropped in, highly recommend you do the same. The breeze out the front was good, staff were very friendly, and the Pizza went down a treat. Here for a week, will be heading back for sure.

Great steak, loved the meal

The food was amazing. We both had scotch fillet medium. Staff were awesome as well.

This place is what it is I guess. The crowd is good and friendly, prices neither cheap nor expensive. The music is usually live until about 10pm, DJ playing mostly pop and mainstream classics mashups. The toilets are usually pretty heinous but the outdoor area is good.

Amazing food, great service and value for money.

Great fun for a night out, but the womens bathroom was in a pretty poor state 😕

Popped in for a lunch time feed.$15 for a steak sandwich and a scooner of anything on tap. Thats what I call a good deal. The steak sandwich was sensational considering the price. Nice Turkish break, tender steak, bacon and cheese. The staff were friendly and service was good Dont think you can top this place for a cheap lunchtime feed.

Security ruins a great venue. I had called an ambulance for a woman who had passed out on the footpath near their venue, whilst waiting for the ambulance she woke up and needed to go to the toilet, under the guidance of the 000 operator we walked her to this venue as it was closest, at which point the security guard refused her entry, snatched my phone out of my hand and told the 000 operator off for encouraging the behaviour. At which point we went to the nearby backpackers where the staff were more than happy to help. Read through plenty of negative reviews about the security here, seems to be a trend.

Great live music on a Tuesday night and friendly bar staff. But the security guards need a lesson on how to read people. Extremely rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I’m getting ready to leave and was told to get out. I’m a regular traveller to Darwin for work so won’t be recommending Wisies to any of my female friends as a safe place to go for a quiet drink.

Wisdom, abousloutly! Ate well here two nights ago on their very refined $15 menu, so impressed returned tonight for a more substantial steak and barra meal. Impressed enormously. A must do.Thanks guys you have nailed this. Friendly staff all round.

If go to this bar and pay by card make sure you look at what they charge. They tend to charge more dodgy bar staff

Lovely atmosphere eating outdoor. Dont get fooled by the casual look of this place: the food is so fresh and well cooked (I got the oven-baked barramundi W chips and greensand the staff is so lovely and easy going. the great selection of music they play. Highly recommended!

Waiting over 50 minutes for fish and chips and lasagna with chips and salad. Not busy at this time so wondered why meals took so long to get out. Very disappointed. Fish almost non existent just batter. Lasagna tasted like pre packaged meal from supermarket. Was recommended to go here for lunch but food was 1/10. Not going back.

Got told they had been telling me off for climbing over tables, when I was sober and standing around looking after my mates. Then got told it was on my final warning before kicking me out.

Recently visited Darwin for a week from Brisbane. This was our go to place for dinner, beers and cocktails. Great staff, Gordon is amazing, awesome food and good value.

Beer was cold but food was not good. schezwan squid was so salty it was unedible. Pizza was very ordinary. Lay off the salt in the kitchen and show some love for producing good food.

This has to be some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and so reasonably priced. Best steak without a doubt. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Can’t recommend highly enough. We’re from Melbourne and recently purchased a $65 steak somewhere, the steak at Wisdom was far better. Do yourself a favour and have a meal here.

Went here on a Saturday night for a boogy and this place did not disappoint. Live music until 10 then a DJ who knew the right songs to play. Great atmosphere.

Had a good night here. Not many people though. Guy on guitar was pretty good.We did a lot of singing😆Made some new friends!👍

Not a bad venue, food OK, but bar service really bad, very slow ,even though 3 staff on at the time , took ages to get served, Friday night and only 50% full, had meal and went elsewhere for drinks.

My partner and i had a meal today. Was a perfect combination of ingredients in the steak sanga in the $15 lunch.The ceasar however....Was undoubtedly the BEST ceasar i have tried to date from around Australia. Perfectly seasoned dish, egg was still runny and the right amount of dressing even after i asked for extra.Great meals in all. Service i would say could be better however as the bar tender didnt seem happy or inviting when we first walked in. But that wouldnt deter us from returning.

Come here quite offer when visiting Cairns and found the short stubby, long blonde headed English girl was extremely pretentious towards us! Her attitude stinks.Not coming here again! Such cr#p service!

Meals are excellent. The bar staff are a bit rude. Its like they are doing you a favour by serving you. If they were friendly the place would be 5 stars in my view.

I eat here often and love the $15 lunches. Sadly yesterday I tried the Chicken hot pot... It was awful. It looked and tasted very much like canned soup...My family had lovely meals in front of them, I was just unlucky to order something they dont do well. I did complain and the bar staff tried their best to rectify but the Chef was not willing to accept the food was bad...maybe just buy drinks here and get better food elsewhere.I also noticed they dont have any vegetarian options on the $15 Lunch Menu which would be nice if they did.

Yet again the Wisdom Pub puts on a fantastic meal and only price to $15 for a Porterhouse steak sandwich chips and cold beer.. peaceful quiet with air con blowing outside

Ordered a caesar salad and a lemon lime and bitters. The price and speed were pretty good and I liked the more laid back atmosphere compaired to the noisier bars around. However, the bar tender didnt know how to make a lemon lime and bitters, which is a pretty standard drink here, and on the menu. She asked one of the other staff what to put in but clearly there was miscommunication somewhere because she left out the lime alltogether, so its just lemonade with way way too much bitters. I also asked for and double confirmed no anchovies in my salad. The salad was generally pretty good, crisp lettuce, nice chicken, nice croutons, but has a distinct fish flavour, which I really dislike. Im guessing theres just anchovy in the dressing, but after making a point twice to confirm no anchovies it would have been good to get a heads up. Could have been an issue for someone with a seafood allergy.

Great spot on Mitchell Street. Friendly and helpful staff. The Bacon, Egg and Cheese Baguette with hash brown for $9.90 is good value and delicious. May have had a sneaky Corona at 10am.. it was hot and I was thirsty!

Low key during the day busy with dancing at night time with an eclectic mix of DJs and play lists. Leaning more towards cheesy classic hits before bending to some funky R&B tunes. Can be variable really. Drinks are averagely priced, nothing extraordinary but by that point the floor will have absorbed most of the beverages in the area and be a sticky mess. Drinking wont be on your list of priorities as much as either survival or pulling.

Best steak and chips Ive had in years. Perfectly cooked and full of flavour coupled with an excellent garlic sauce. Very good pricing also. Highly recommend

My wife and I have enjoyed steaks the world over and thought wed try The Wisdom even though it had the possibly dubious sign heralding the best steaks in Darwin .Well, if there are better they would have to be incredible.My wifes med-rare porterhouse and my rare filet were perfect. Not had many better, anywhere, anytime.

Went there for lunch and ordered lunch special deal $15 everyday until 3pm which is meal + drink (beer, wine and soft drink available).I wish vegetarian Caesar salad was bigger portion, I expected big salad as it’s Australian pub... Caesar salad wrap was great.I would try something different next time.

The Wisdom Bar was wonderful. Sincere thanks to Dave in the kitchen with his team, the food was "Fantastic"! With 36 in our group the food was consistently excellent. Great place for lunch. They have a $12.50 lunch deal that is made up of a large dish and a drink (including beer or wine). Three seating areas: indoors with ac, outside smoking and outside nonsmoking. Also there’s daily live music. I highly recommend it!

We ate there today and I was more than impressed with the $12 50, very generous servings and the quality of the meals it cant be beaten... Absolutely value for money!! currently there is a $12 50 lunch special across the usual pub menu... steak sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken Caesar wraps, salads ... all served with a generous helping of chips ..you also get either a free soft drink, beer, house wine or house spirit!

Located right near monsoon, but tucked away behind a beer garden is Wisdom Bar and Cafe. Great efficient service. Surf and turf type dish was filling and tasty. House red wine was good. Walking distance to all CBD hotels. Go there early for a peaceful dining experience.

Another excellent meal here. Keep up the good work guys.
