This laid-back hotel is 3 km from Orio al Serio International Airport, 10 km from Malpaga Castle and 12 km from Accademia Carrara Museum.Casual rooms and suites offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minibars and safes. Some have sitting areas and/or whirlpool tubs. Room service is available.Breakfast and parking are complimentary. Other amenities include a trendy restaurant, a cafe/bar and a gym, plus a garden with seating, and meeting and event space. There's also a spa with a sauna, a hot tub and a hammam. An airport shuttle is available.
The room was clean and cosy yet operating the lights is weird. The lights are operated through a panel nea your bed. you can also unlock the door to your room from the same panel, leaving it closed yet unlocked. Not safe in my opinion. The hotel offer shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Just remember that it is not free and it cost 5 euros per person. Somehow we found out about this only upon checkout.
Really good airport hotel. Great service. Restaurant was great. The shuttle was on time. The bed were a bit hard in my opinion, but I guess some people like that.
Nice hotel. Near the airport. On industrial site. Quiet but not an inspiring surrounding. Nice terrace and rooftop breakfast
Nice hotel with great location next to airport. Surroundings are not suitable for walking, so it was a shame that bar isn´t open until 6 PM.
Beautiful, but the weather was too warm & the room air conditioning wasnt strong enough, wasnt able to sleep very well the first night I arrived, I complained & my room was changed, I realised even the uber/taxis dont have cool air conditioner too or maybe they dont like it cold... I kept complaining. Winter garden hotel should improve & get better air conditioning because when outdoor is so warm customers will need a very nice & cold rooms. I stayed during winter the last time I visited bergamo & I enjoyed my stay, but I am never going during summer anymore...
Really good location, if you want a hotel near the Bergamo airport. The stuff was professional and helpful. Breakfast was nice and dinner at the restaurant very good. We really liked the restaurant and the bar. The spa was small, but really nice. Beds were comfortable and we had a really quiet room. Room was clean. We really enjoyed our stay.
The four stars for the location is because the hotel is a bit far from any central locations, so you must walk a lot or take a taxi. Otherwise, is a very nice hotel!
Very very slow checkin process due to loooong queues and only one person working in the reception. Very kind persons in the reception though.. allow one hour to checkin.. at least. Queues queues and queuesEdit:You cannot rely on the bus shuttle also.Early in the morning is ok..later on is like ~45 mins late always..
Clean rooms, good food in cafe and resturaurant, nice staff, good meeting rooms
5km from airport. You must pay for transfers.Tee und kofe are not in room.Staff all time speaking to phone.....
LOVED staying at Winter Garden Hotel while we visited Bergamo. The rooms were so clean and the quality of service was wonderful. We didn’t get a chance to experience the spa as time kept flying by so quickly, but we did get a chance to have dinner at their In house restaurant and it was honestly one of the best meals we had while visiting Italy. I had my first casoncelli there and I still think about it. 10/10 recommend staying at this hotel when visiting the Bergamo area, you won’t be disappointed!
Was there for a weekend stay. Hotel looks good, nice atmosphere, rooms were a bit too cold and we could not adjust the temp. There was one blanket to be used. Bar closes way to early in my opinion (23), maybe because of Covid or because its a spa hotel. Spa was OK. Hotel restaurant food is affordable and unique. But better off going elsewhere im my opinion.
NO BABY CRIB WAS PUT IN THE ROOM ALTHOUGH WE HAVE ASKED FOR IT IN OUR RESERVATION AND IT TOOK AN HOUR TO PLACE ONE. THE BAR SERVES FOOD TILL 22:30 BUT IT WAS CLOSED FOR FOOD FROM 22:00.
Very nice hotel, with big underground parking, helpfull staff, nice SPA zone and excellent beef jowl and tiramisu in the restaurant
Comfortable, clean, delicious dinner at their restaurant and only 5 mins away from Bergamo Airport. Ask for a shuttle, it’s the cheapest and fastest way to get to the airport!
Modern environment, clean and good location for for air travellers. Cons are no drink classes, only few chairs and strange lights switches in the suite.
Generally excellent, but the last two times, we have been promised a room with a bath tub, only to be told when we arrive around midnight that there is none available until the next day, so we have to change rooms then. Also, the mini bar was not refilled and the bathroom not fully cleaned, which reduced the overall experience a bit. But we received a letter of apology with a small gift as a compensation. And wed like to complement Mr Said at the reception with an outstanding performance that makes us feel at home.
We were given room 251. Mattress really uncomfortable, too hard, needs a topper. Only 3 pillows, of which 2 very hard. Double glazing of poor quality, not filtering outside noise.Disaster struck when, well passed midnight, we kept hearing noise created by people moving furniture, presumably in the restaurant.Same thing in the early morning. If you want to rest, go somewhere else.
Very comfortable and quiet room. The breakfast is great and offer a large selection. Big precaution taken against Covid so you feel safe. Underground parking with lots of space. Staff very professional
The hotel is very nice but doesnt provide basics such as free water, or any other hot or cold refreshments. Ideal location for Bergamo Airport
Great hotel. Room was super nice with a large shower. Receptionist was helpful and organised early taxi for us. Very happy with the service. :)
This hotel is certainly not 4 stars.it is clean, but super outdated. The service is ok, and it is quite far from the airport, you cannot walk.I certainly dont recommend, we ended up spending20 euros each way in cabs from and to the airportand its a 4 kilometer ride on 3 minutes..
Staff all can speak English very well and so kindly, room and spa is comfortable ~~But Near hotel don’t have restaurants and supermarket,so we eat in the hotel!Hotel have one coffee bar open in the night,if u don’t want eat restaurant u can eat some sandwich ,hamburger, piadina, pizza……and drink in the bar,is delicious too and good price ~~Very nice for everything!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overall good hotel. Close to the airport. Shuttle is 5€/pp. Room was clean but beds were too firm. Breakfast was limited, especially drinks were served in very small cups which is unfortunate for a 10€ extra charge.
Very well equipped hotel at a very affordable price. From the shuttle service to the spa passing through the bar and the restaurant. It was so awesome. But what I would have preferred to be aware of is that all the drinks you find in the mini bar in the rooms are payeble and upon consumption its not part of the hotel fee.
I suggest people to be aware about this hotel if the objective is to stay there to relax during weekends. The SPA is closed after 1PM on sundays and it is not clear during reservation.
Very nice and clean hotel with al lot of amenities such as a spa and restaurant. The breakfast on the roofterrace with a view is also very good and nice! But unfortunately during our stay the staff was far from 4 star worthy. We were not upgraded - although they had to it basically as was promised on Booking.com. There is no watercooker in the room and when we asked for it at the reception they refused to provide one. The argument the woman gave was that we had a comfort room. The bartender behind the bar also refused to go into the restaurant for us to get hot water. Very rude attitude also.I cant prove it - but if this is because we are tourists and not native Italians then I would recommend to stay far far away from this hotel if you are just a tourist passing by. I tried to get in touch with management but the woman behind the reception would not allow this.
Super expensive, terrible location, didnt even have a kettel in the room. Far away from everything including the airport. Unless you make the shuttle (which is still 5 Euro per person), just getting to the airpoet is 20 euro! Stay away
Air con for this time of the year is set up to a too high temperature which makes the air too dry to sleep even if you try to lower in your room the rest of the hotel its too hot. Breakfast due to covid (I suposeis poor, and during week only from 6am to 9am which leaves you with a time gap of 3hours with no bar or restaurant to have coffe or a water open at the hotel, at 12ish the restaurant opens but if you are looking for a snack, or just a toast you wont have it until 6pm which is when the bar opens, you will have to eat at the restaurant. The rest was ok staff is nice and welcoming, rooms beside the high temperature are comfortable, bathroom is all equiped. Was an ok experience for the times we are going thru.
The hotel is beautiful! The dinner at the hotel restaurant was superb and all the hotel team, reception and restaurante were very kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely experience even in pandemic times. I recommend.
Hotel was very nice standard. On check in the receptionist continued to carry out telephone conversations on his earphones while attending to us.This is not acceptable.Restaurant had nice service however the food was only ok.
Super clean room, no noises: I slept here very well. The buffet breakfast is also very good. The desk in the room is big, very useful if you have to work with your laptop.
I have spent recently a night at the hotel, located just few km from the airport. The staff was kind as usual and the services in my view are worth the price, including access to the SPA and the covered parking. I was offered an upgrade for the room which was appreciated, it was not perfectly clean but nothing major (a couple of spider webs at ground level). I will certainly be back again.
Great receptionist. Very professional and smiley. We arrived late so restaurant was closed but we were able to have a really tasty Club sandwich at the bar. Got an upgrade to executive room. AMAZING. Super spacious, very comfortable bed. Couldn’t fault it. Breakfast was very nice but staff not so friendly. Barely got a smile and/or Hello. Pity
Very good hotel. Close by to a Bergamo airport and nearby shopping center.Good spa - not too big but enough for a little relax. Im assuming that due to the size of the spa, space is limited and you have to reserve the 1.5h window, ahead your visit. The bar and the restaurant is good. The menu choice is not huge, but enough to eat well.We had breakfast included and the buffet was ok. The dining area has nice mountain view.
The Hotel is located near the airport. Our room was quiet, away from the street noise. Hotel is clean and friendly staff makes you feel welcomed. The room is simple and clean. Bed is hard, which is nice but requires good pillows which are lacking - make sure you have two of those offered or you will have a stiff neck in the morning. The spa is small, clean and lovely. Has a pool, steam room and sauna and plenty of treatments. I had a 25min massage which was little too short and little weak but still enjoyable after a long flight from Maldives. My 25min anti-aging facial was pleasant but it felt as if there was not enough product used - so the procedure felt too dry even if the end result was well moistened.
Hotel is really good. Nothing to mention on opposite. Just be aware that checkout is at 10 am and if you want a taxi is 20 euro from airport at least. They offer transfer so you might contact them before to avoid this headache.
Everything has been perfect. The staff is extremely polite, nice and ready to anticipate any needs of yours... The restaurant serves amazing food and everyone working at the spa is really passionate about what they do. Luca have us the most relaxing massage ever and the ladies at the reception advised us on how to enjoy our experience the best way ever!
Price/quality too expensive. Rooms are ok but nothing special. To use the wellness you have to make a reservation what is strange. When I wanted to access the wellness after I made a reservation I got denied. This because I arrived there at 8.45PM and they close at 9.30PM. So I was too late?!?! At check in they didnt not inform me that you have to be inside before a certain hour. The gym was also poor.So I could not enjoy the wellness anymore after a full day of meetings. Also the personal was unfriendly and not helpful. I also noticed accidentally that I could enter another room with my room key, very strange. Also you had to pay for a shuttle bus to the airport, what was a 5min drive. One of the elevators was also defect. Only positive thing was the nice food at the restaurant.
It was great! After a long and exciting week in Bergamo, Milan and Verona - this was the perfect hotel to end our vacation on. We laid back in the jacuzzi, placed right inside the bedroom, while we enjoyed great food from roomservice. Next time in this area, this will be a hotel we will go back to without a doubt.
Great big hotel with nice service and modern rooms. The wellness is also very nice. Only accessible after reservation so they can limit the number of people that enter and this end up in great service and very relaxing sensation. If I am in the neighborhood I will certainly visit again.
The Winter Garden Hotel is a wonderful, luxurious place to stay near the Bergamo area. It was very comfortable and clean, with a great breakfast. I loved the free shuttle to/from the airport AND the shopping center. My only complaint is that the shuttle doesnt run more often. Our flight was delayed, causing us to arrive after the last shuttle and we had to take a taxi to the hotel, which cost 13 Euros.
This was a surprise. I was looking for a not too expensive but decent hotel near Bergamo Airport and found this. Its half an hour walk from the airport. They do have a free shuttle but at limited times and you have to request it beforehand. Beautiful hotel, nice room, comfortable beds. High quality amenities. Bathtub with jacuzzi spouts. Fantastic spa. Amazing restaurant. I was seriously surprised and already know I will be staying there again. Staff very friendly and professional. I paid $90 including breakfast and spa access. Arrived early and thought Id just leave my bag and come back later, but they gave me a room right away. This was definitely a "wow" - experience. Highly recommend it.
We stayed here for one nights and everything was perfect. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. Staff was very polite and friendly. The bathroom was superb because it has two sets of showers.Lovely room with giant Jacuzzi. Really convenient for the airport, and free airport shuttle. Great selection for breakfast.
Very good hotel at a fair price. Location regarding the airport is OK, there is a shuttle or you can walk around 30minutes. Not a lot to do in the vicinity, but the hotel is quite well equipped so you can stay there if you want to. Hotel staff is very professional.I totally recommend this place.
This hotel was very nice. It is not easy to get to via public transportation. The last section requires a walk thats about 3/4 of a mile through a "middle of nowhere" road near the airport. But once you have arrived the amenities are very nice. The in hotel restaurant is pretty expensive, but you can order food from the bar that is much more affordable. They have free drop-off shuttle to the airport. Also, schedule ahead to book your time at the spa if your accommodation comes with it. We would definitely come again.
We spent one night towards our morning flight from the nearby airport (5 minutes by car or hotel shuttle that you need to book in advance). Rooms are medium size, very clean and comfortable. Rich and good breakfast starting at 4:30am (so you can eat before early flights). We also received a free spa treatment (Sauna and Jacuzzi). All you need before (or afteryour flight from Bergamo airport.2 minutes from the amazing Orio center is another advantage.
We stayed here for two nights and everything was perfect. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. Staff was very polite and friendly. The bathroom was superb because it has two sets of showers. Breakfast was great. Its a good thing that breakfast is served from 4:30 am if you have an early flight.
1. We had an early flight, and because of that we asked the receptionist to order a taxi for a specific time, 5:30 am.To our surprise, when we were at the reception at 5:30, we discovered that the receptionist completely forgot about the taxi.We nearly missed the flight!Unforgivable for the 4-star hotel!2. The hotel positions itself as an airport hotel, and it does have an airport shuttle bus, but the number of places in it is limited, and when all the places are fully booked, you have to call a taxi. But we specifically had chosen the hotel to have a problem-free access to the airport! It simply dies not deliver to the promise. Either remove "airport" part from the name or arrange a second bus when the first is fully booked. Again, not the kind of an experience one expects from the 4-star airport hotel.3. Jacuzzi didnt work.Overall, irritation and annoyance. Highly negative experience.Info for the hotel administration: we stayed one night February 2nd to 3rd 2017, room 231
Great option for connecting flights. The rooms are modern furnished, toiletries are available, is a free shuttle from airport available with prior booking. Restaurant has good quality food and services. I recommend this place, I will stay again for sure.
