The most delicious gluten free foods! They are seriously talented here at Winnie’s. The friendly staff is always helpful to provide recommendations. We ordered our wedding cake here and no one believed it was gluten free. Probably the best cake I’ve ever had. Don’t leave without picking up a cheese bread! 10/10

I have severe celiac, so Im always nervous trying new foods. Gluten free is usually icky, but this place is delicious!! 10/10 recommended to my gluten free friends.

Winnies sells the best GF bread Ive ever had. Blows grocery store GF bread out of the water. Also better than the other GF specialty bakery bread Ive had. Flax bread is my favourite to slice and keep in the freezer. I also really like anything made with their pastry dough, especially the butter tarts. Love this bakery!

I have said "This is the best thing Ive ever eaten", after trying anything from Winnies Gluten-free kitchen!Its amazing to have such delicious choices when having to eat a strictly gluten free diet. I love that I dont have to worry about reading labels, or cross contamination.

I cant believe I havent left a review before. This place is amazing. Staff are knowledgeable and the baked goods and everything they make is so good. Do yourself and your tastebuds a favour and go to Winnies. Tarts, squares, breads, soups and prepared meals are all delicious.

Winnie’s gluten free bakery is awesome. I had gone to a few other gluten free bakeries and they were nothing like the treats I got from here. I highly recommend this bakery. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful and extremely nice.Thank You for the awesome treats !

Was in the area and bought some of their Bread and Rhubarb Tarts and a few others tasty treats for Easter dinner with the family. Everyone loved the Tarts and the GF Bread was amazing!

Absolutely phenomenal! The bread loaves are scrumptious and are not even distinguishable from wheat-based products. Staff is always friendly and I have yet to be disappointed with anything I select. (Please make your other location deliver farther!)

The staff are always helpful, and patient as I try to decide between the delicious options. I love that they rotate the sweet treats so there is always something new. The bread is amazing and so fluffy! As a celiac it is wonderful to know that I am in good hands.

Winnie’s Bakery Is a wonderful find. Gluten free products that have great taste and don’t feel like cardboard. I had a piece of bread and thought I was eating regular bread. It has been years since I enjoyed anything so wonderful.

I am so very grateful for this bakery! Because of them, I have fluffy, delicious bread, tasty turnovers and all sorts of goodies to share when I have guests - please let us have guests again soon! Very hard to find a place that bakes Gluten free and Dairy free goods. The cupcakes are mine and my spouses favorite.Usually gluten free things Ive eaten are a bit dry, but not Winnies. I actually prefer them over regular baked goods.

I have been gluten-free for almost a year now and this is the best place I have ever found. It’s extremely hard to find a place that makes any gluten-free food that can get close to comparing to non-GF but this place’s food does that. On top of that they have great service so you can’t do wrong here.

Winnies is my favourite Gluten Free shop! I know its 100% safe no matter what I choose and the snacks are absolutely delicious. I cannot get through my week without something from this store. And the best part is there are savoury snacks, which is the rarest treat when shopping gluten free

It was nice to find out that there was dairy-free options available also. Service was great and COVID-19 restrictions were followed. Desserts were delicious. I do not have gluten allergies or intolerances but my mother does and thus the reason we stopped. I usually bake her goodies and it was refreshing to find a place that she finally enjoyed. Not like any other gluten free bakery we have visited. Thanks!

Good, gluten free food..odd hours, making it hard for a working individual to purchase it. Opening until 7 one or two nights a week would be so nice. Im not in the area, am not available during the day. Ive thought to pop in on a Monday, during the day and a few weeknights at 5:05 after dropping my daughter off at practice but closed.Customer service is only ever ok...asking questions feels like youre keep them from their work.

Being celiac I went to this bakery that was recommended by a friend. For gluten free goods their treats are pretty good. I have to say though I am disappointment with the customer service. I have been there 3 to 4 times now hoping the experience will be better next time but it hasnt. I do not feel welcome there. First went at Christmas time. Was told to put the bread back because it was limited. Then they couldnt get my order right. I was shouting they still couldnt hear me. Baked goods are very expensive which I dont mind paying for a good service. Went back today and once again the got my order wrong. I had to go back to them. No apology or anything. I am not sure I will be back. I want to have a positive experience when I visit a bakery. It supposed to be a happy one. Customer service is important to me.

Being celiac, baked goods- both savoury and sweet are so hard to come by that are delicious and resemble the same flavour and texture as regular baked goods. Winnies takes it to another level. They think of everything. Ice cream sandwiches in the summer, Jamaican patties, dinner rolls, pies, and all the most delicious squares you could think of. This past weekend, I bought an éclair and it was absolutely incredible! My favourite bakery of all time!

My mom is wheat-sensitive and hasn’t had cake in years because it usually bothers her stomach. I bought the vanilla cake for her birthday and she loved it! The rest of our family, which doesn’t usually eat gluten-free, also really enjoyed it. The online ordering and in-store pickup were straight forward. I had some questions on specific ingredients and the team at Winnie’s was very quick to respond to my emails. I would highly recommend and am looking forward to trying the chocolate cake in the future.

Gluten free or not this place is a must try! I’ve tried everything and never been disappointed! When they first opened up I went there every day. They have so many delicious items. BBQ chicken turnovers, millionaire bar, apple turnover, carrot cake are just some of my favourites. If you are struggling with trying to be gluten free these guys are a must try!

I had a wonderful experience at Winnies. I last minute had to order some baked goods for a birthday party and she was able to take and complete my order. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mix up and I could not get my order as placed. However, the mistake was noticed by staff before the baked goods even reached my hands at checkout. They made every effort to fulfill my order as previously requested with what they had available. And if you ask me, I got a great deal! I was so impressed by their attention to detail (noticing the mistakeand their willingness to rectify it!In addition to the incredible service, the baked goods were delicious and very well received! I will absolutely recommend this place to all my GF/DF friends and I encourage you to give them a try if you are looking for delicious, local GF/DF foods!

I LOVE Winnies!Cinnamon Rolls - 5 * they are big though so youll want to share or split them into containers for later. Not dry. Icing was divine.Carrot Cake - 5 * the carrot cake is so good. Moist and flavourful. They were kind enough to give me DF icing too.Baguette - 3.5 * when they are fresh they are SO good but Ive had times where I pick one up and the next day its rock hard :(Loaf - 4 * Tastes almost exactly like regular bread. Delicious!DF brownie - 5 * so yummy! Moist and chocolatey. So good and a decent size.Chocolate square - 5 * I had my sister try this one and she loved it! Ate it so fast.Rhubarb square - 4 * I wasnt a huge fan but my sister was so I think it might be a preference thing. Very moist though!Turn overs - 3.5* unfortunately very delicate when frozen. Mine broke on the ends when I took it out of the bag. Delicious though. I had the tomato basil. Could use maybe a bit more basil.Mini donuts - 5 * had them once but I dont think they have them anymore. Very good and on the smaller size which I actually really like!Croutons - 5 * SO yummy. I ate them on their own they were so good haha they dont make them at the moment but you could make them from their bread. Super salty though if youre trying to watch the sodium.Cant wait to keep trying their products! ❤️❤️

I cannot say enough good things about Winnie’s Gluten Free Kitchen. There is an amazing selection of products and everything tastes amazing! You wouldn’t even know it’s gluten free! As someone with celiac, it’s nice to know there is a place like this where you can get everything from savoury dishes to sweet treats. I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone even if you aren’t gluten free!

I have a nut allergy and my sister in law has a gluten allergy and we both 100% trust this bakery and the food they produce to have no cross contamination. My husband does not need to eat gluten free and he cant tell these treats are any different. We get both sweet and savory treats from Winnies as well as bread and it is all delicious! It is normal for Winnies to have a line-up on Saturday mornings due to popularity, but it is definitely worth the wait. We are really enjoying ordering online now and the scheduled pick-ups make everything faster. Thank you !

Just stocked up on some gluten-free items. Staff was friendly, knowledgable and quick. Have only tried the pastry and it was delicious. Unfortunately like all things specialized for allergens its a bit pricey.

All I can say is this: love. Love this place, and super happy about them moving into a larger space! There is room to sit and eat your treats now, which taste as good and sometimes better than the gluten alternative!

Super impressed. Got a dairy free brownie, thinking it looks good bit wont taste so good. Well, I was wrong. Delicious and delectable. Savoring every single bite! Fantastic bakery. Im in love with the jamaican patties, pot pies, butter tarts and bread there. And everything is gluten free!! The bread and pastries are baked each day, and now theyre doing donuts weekly I think! Very friendly staff too. I follow them on Facebook and really recomend it cuz they post their donut flavors and if a hot lunch is available its on there too. Its a super popular place and sometimes sells out before closing but ordering ahead is available

We seriously love Winnies! Have been regular customers since 2014 and have not once been disappointed. Great quality gluten free pastries both sweet and savory. Family favourites include the savory turnovers particularly the spinach, the tomato & cheese and the lemon squares.

First off, let me say that I DO NOT eat a gluten free diet, but my roommate does. Over the years, she has taken me to many gluten-free bakeries and Ive always tasted their baking but its always had that "gluten free" taste and consistency that I really dont like (and who does, really?). Winnies is different, their baking is BETTER than a lot of regular bakeries Ive been to. Now I ask my roommate if we can go to Winnies so I can get goodies for myself! Everything Ive tried (which is a lothas been delicious and the consistencies have been right on point! Definitely recommend this bakery to everyone!

Absolutely fantastic baked good, breads and freezer meals for people with gluten allergies. A lot of stuff is dairy free as well. Their pastry is better than most regular wheat pastry. Must stop by!

Placed my first order from Winnies this last weekend and WOWZA!! This is the BEST gluten free bread Ive ever eaten; We loved everything we ordered!! Cheese bread, hamburger buns, white bread, and cinnamon rolls - AMAZING! Vicky, your bread textures are so true to regular it had me shaking my head in awe. How often does your car smell gorgeous from fresh baked gluten free bread??!! The cinnamon rolls were such a treat that we froze so we can savour. We just ate a cinnamon bun, lemon square, date square and a cupcake for the first time and WOW! I haven’t had gluten free celiac friendly desserts taste this delicious!The customer service was amazing!

If youre gluten free and you miss puff pastry, get here NOW. They make hands down the best pastry, puff pastry and scones Ive ever had, gluten free or not. I must have asked 4 different times, the first time I was shoveling their pastry in my face if they were absolutely sure it was gluten free. Its seriously epic.I believe their moving their store front, but they sell all of their goodies weekly at St. Jacobs Market. I never miss a chance to fill my face or my freezer with their popovers or their blueberry scones. Love. Love. Love.

Best butter tarts!!!To be honest, I generally avoid gluten-free pastries because they are often just terrible; I would rather go without pastries entirely than eat bad ones. These, however, are awesome. I look forward to trying their pies and other offerings.
