No-frills fast-food chain preparing a variety of chicken wings & sides for takeout & delivery.
Standard burgers, fries and drinks. Lively scene. Good beer and drink selection.
Great being there during a Fighting Irish Football weekend! Wait staff was very friendly!
My husband and I went for a late lunch on game day. The place was PACKED but the wait was only an hour. You can purchase a drink outside while you wait which was nice. The service was great for us and the drinks were too. We loved the wings. Great game day atmosphere!
Called on Wednesday to ask what time they open for game day, they said 8 am. Showed up at 9 to get breakfast and they dont open until 11 but the open sign is lit up.
Had a good time with friends here (drinks and apps). Bartender was friendly. Next time Ill need to do a full dinning experience
Went with a large group of 45, we reserved the back room, the staff was great and handled it like pros.
Came from Michigan for a celebration brunch. Decor, ambiance and service were good. In general the food needed more seasoning however the onion soup was tasty. Wish there was a veggie burger option.
Great wings. Great Irish atmosphere. Service was a little slow, but it was game day so its more than forgivable. Drinks are a little pricey, but do love the atmosphere
Good place to see a Notre-dame football Game. Good selection of Irish beer. Wish they had Kilkenny. My friend really enjoy their boneless wing.
First time coming to this restaurant and I would definitely come back for the good food and service. I wanna give a shout out to Leah for the exceptional service she provided. I will be coming back!
Leah M was absolutely AMAZING! Took care of us all night despite it being game day busy! Recommend this place because of her alone … 10/10!!!
I cannot stress enough how amazing Leah M with the blue eyes! She’s literally a phenomenal person who gave phenomenal service! She’s was really sweet, never messed up our order and was always on point and timely. Truly lucky to have her a our server. First time to Notre Dame, had more fun at the bar than I did at the game! Much of that is due to the experience we had with Leah! Will come back again.
Food and service were both great. The music was AWFUL!! So much so, I gave O’Rourkes 3 stars instead of 5. Extremely loud, as well as vulgar and inappropriate music. Multiple songs with explicit lyrics and racial slurs. It was very uncomfortable. Traditional Celtic music would solve the issue and fit the theme. Again, food and waitstaff were both great.
Passing through town and looking for an Irish Pub. Food was good, as was the beer selection, but what made the visit stand out was our server Abby. Answered menu questions before we even decided to eat there, got us a great table, was attentive and made great recommendations! Abby was awesome!
Ordered online. Somehow they couldnt see my order- Im not certain if they also could not see contact information because no one contacted me to ask about it. Instead they let me know they couldnt read the order once Id arrived there to pick it up a 1/2 hour or more after submitting it. They glanced at my receipt that had been emailed to me to figure out what to make. After waiting for them to prepare our order - we found that wings werent crispy (they were gummy), one order had the wrong sauce and instead of being boneless were bonein. The rueban was put together but not grilled. There was no care to get our order right, done well, or to ensure that they even got the order. Additionally, they were not busy. Maybe 15 people tops in the restaurant/patio combined-so hard to empathize with the carelessness and lack of effort. Really disappointed in the entire experience.
This place has disappointed every time Ive been here with my friends or alone. Things take forever. Service is really bad, bartenders taking forever and talking to their friends instead of getting drinks in a remotely reasonable amount of time (I waited 20 minutes for a drink before leaving today, and normally it takes 10-15its just really bad that its the only option at my end of campus. And the incidents are not isolated, Ive been there maybe 6 or 10 times and its bad every time. But its the only option.
Food was ok. Service was poor. Sadly I think there was only 1 waitress who forgot to put in our appetizer and then when we flagged her down to ask where it was, handed the one in her hand.
Absolutely loved this placeBest pint of Guinness pulled in the US so far. Food was delicious and prices were very reasonable. The ambiance is traditional Irish pub with a ND flat. Awesome!!
We had a late lunch here and chose to get the Irish Specialty dishes. My husband loves Fish & Chips and was not disappointed. The fish wasnt overly breaded and the chips were crisp. I had the Chicken Boxty (I think? It was diced chicken, broccoli and cream cheese folded in something resembling a pancake. It was huge and scrumptious.
When my offspring attended ND -- I took about a dozen students out for a social time. We were hosted very nicely. I was the old guy with the credit card. Staff really did make sure we had a great time.
They turned off the light while I was sitting at the table with food and drinks my eyes hurt from the eye strain, and its incredibly inconsiderate of them. Not to mention service was slow despite there not being many people here. The fish and chips came out almost burnt, and the fish inside the absurdly hard fried batter was chewy. Worse fish and chips Ive ever had tbh.
We enjoyed our time here. My salmon (medium rarewas spot on, the green beans were delicious. My companions shepherds pie needed some more effort. Our bartender was incredible.
Excellent food, legendary customer service. Trevor was very kind and helpful. My husband liked his chicken pot pie, and I loved my salmon. It was perfectly moist and juicy, and the broccoli was the best Ive ever had.
My wife and I stopped in for a quick drink on date night only to end up staying a little longer due to the great conversation and service from our server Rudy! He alone made our time there a great time!! This place has changed for the better since the last time I was there two years ago!
Wait 20 mins to order food that comes on plate barely warm.A gentleman at next table left the restaurant without ordering having waited for too long. Thats the service they have there at ORourkes. The service at the front desk in this place is absolutely horrible. They seat you and… thats about it. We waited 20 mins for a waitress simply because she was not informed that we have been seated. Then we ordered our meal: the SHEPHERDS PIE which tasted nice but came barely warm so had to be returned for reheating, and POWER SALAD which came sauceless, so imagine having a plate full of fresh baby kale so dry you can barely swallow it. No advice from the waitress when ordering as to oil or sauce to go with it. Eventually we got a cup of olive oil and nice vinaigrette which made it possible to eat. They serve nice Guinness there, in turn.I dont think we are going to have a meal in that place ever again. There are too many nice places to dine out in South Bend.
Very good food. Good beer that you cant find at many of the bars around here. The atmosphere is great and you can Pokémon hunt while having dinner. Our server, Rudy, was awesome!
It seems like it would be a cool pub if you could get service at a table. I sat for roughly 15 minutes before I left, the only people getting service were at the bar, I could overhear other tables near me complaining about wait for service so I just left.
We are from out of town and were excited to check this place out. We went today around 3 and sat at the bar. It took 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and it wasnt even busy.He walkwd by us many times and ignored us. The service was horrible! He would never pay attention to us until we put our card on the bar table to pay. We thought it was going to be a great place, but very disappointed in the service.
I have enjoyed this restaurant/pub several times over the years. I have always found the staff to be friendly and attentive. The food quality is consistently very good and the menu is priced fairly. You might choose to be here for a major event at Notre Dame Stadium but I encourage to visit other times as well.Either way, youll have a great experience.
One beer is 7 dollars. If you ask for a receipt the bartender tacks on another .49 cents. Will never set foot on this property again. Asked for a beer menu to see the price and not a single price. They can charge 30 dollars a beer if they want. No limit at this joint. Another review made the same claim and management Said they were going thru prices under new management 2 months ago. How long does it take? One star isnt fair. A negative 2 stars is more accurate
They run a good restaurant with good beers on Tap. The chicken wrap wasnt very good but ordered it so that was my fault. The burger with pulled pork on top was quite tasty. The side salad was great.
On par with all the other reviews of this place the food is pretty good but the service is horrible. We sat down at the bar and the guy behind the bar looked at us and walked away. The food took forever to come out after we ordered at a time that wasn’t that busy. The salmon was really good but overall not worth the frustration of the service.
Visited the place several times, food was just bad, fried on industrial oil, probably from old cars or tanks.Service no better, never pick up the phone, if you want to order for pick up, always say that very busy, even if half of tables are empty. Confuse my order, gave me fish instead of chicken. Somebody always smokes outside and another couple standing in corner, talking loudly, laughing, that why they are busy.Anyway they just don’t care about you and your order. Don’t recommend. My comments to owner response, despite numerous calls they never picked up a phone, yes employees smoked outside in public , I’m so disappointed with food and service, that I don’t need refund or free food , just don’t care about the place, never go there, never recommend.
We were expecting a pub with an Irish feel. Instead of Irish music they played country music. We sat outside and they sat us next to a filthy window with trash in it. We got the fish and chips. The fish was good but the chips were cold.
Stopped in for what turned out to be an awesome meal. The atmosphere was right on, the food was delicious (we really enjoyed the fish and chips), and our server, Makenna, was great and a joy to be around--so glad we were seated in her section! If youre one for dessert, I highly recommend the bread pudding!
Very nice atmosphere...Food was good...Very few people after Mass on a Sunday morning. Thanks for being open!Friendly waitress, service slow, be patient, not enough staff. Hoping things improve soon!
Despite being extremely busy prior to a concert at Notre Dame Stadium, the staff here did a great job hustling to take care of everyone. The burger was great and the prices wont knock you over.
Small over priced menu. Burger patty was dry and over cooked. Boneless wings were served in a basket with paper so when you cut the wings you cut thru the paper and you were literally eating on the plastic basket. $7.00 for a corona. No need to go back.
Even though they were slammed, our waitress Jess was very attentive and constantly checking in to make sure everything was good. The food was delicious too, DEFINITELY recommend the wings. We got the honey sriracha flavor. Also the sweet potato fries are to die for!
Ive been here a number of times with our weekly running group, and I can say that there is much to be desired from this location. The service that we have had on several occasions is subpar...we either have to wait forever (15-30 minfor any type of service or the server/bartender seems like they really dont care to help anyone. One time our server never came back and we had to hunt her down for our checks. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. If you are thinking about going out for dinner, either hit up Brothers or Taphouse and you will be much happier than wasting your time here.
The food and atmosphere were decent but overpriced by a large amount. However, the service was an absolute joke. The waitress didnt seem to care about anything except getting away from our table as fast as possible. Both orders were wrong and included ingredients we didnt ask for, and others that werent even listed on the menu! After taking 15 minutes to bring out our additional drinks, and forgetting EVERYTHING ELSE we asked for, the waitress merely said the word "sorry" and walked away. Id recommend just staying away from this place, as other reviews indicate this is an ongoing problem that hasnt been addressed.
Had an amazing time at O’Rourke’s. After a full day soent with my family at Bormtre Dame, we had this classic pub and it was a perfect way to end the day. Waitress was really sweet and food was delicious! I had an Oktoberfest beer and it was also delicious. Would recommend to a friend!
Food was really quite good, better than this rating, but the service was sub par from the second we walked in the door. They were not busy on this evening. On second thought, the mac and cheese was dry and felt like it had been sitting in the window for a while. Even if it was fresh the ratio of mac to cheese would not have worked. It was a big bowl of noodles with a hint of cheese sauce. The host was distracted by his phone, then others on staff. We were finally seated and sat there getting to see the show of staff just having a good time. Our server was nice and friendly, just seemed to be running in circles, as if she was really busy, but Im pretty sure she only had us and 1 other table.Probably going to try it again at some point, just hope management gets the place in order.
Great place to go for some fun! Some of the drinks are a little more expensive but this bar is completely worth your time. It’s Notre Dame staple and is located at the corner of Eddie st commons. Sometimes we start here and get the drinks flowing and walk down the street to brothers for a younger dance atmosphere. If you’re a student you’ve got to check it out at least once !
Please improve the food quality!Have been here multiple times already. The place is pretty and well decorated for a pub...My main concern with this place is food. This place is really not for good food. Its really not the best. One day they forgot to add chicken to my salad. The salad itself was quite mediocre.Today the Cookie Tini, which I had to wait for at leat 50 minutes, was also so so. My cookies were really too dry. I dont think I will keep buying dinners here. The Ruben bites are so salty.. .I would really enjoy this place much more if I could enjoy food here too.I also wish this place was a bit cleaner. The bathroom was quite dirty and the decorations are broken there.Honestly, this place has a great potential. The location is good. The decorations are quite nice. lot of people visit it. Please improve the menu, make it more tasty so people can feel proud for visiting you. Please also keep the hole place cleaner. Im sure more people will be willing to buy food and drinks there once everything is more appealing and more tasty.
Great food! The shepherds pie was delicious and the buffalo chicken flatbread with crispy pieces of chicken and chunks of bleu cheese was quite good too. I mistook the dine-in daily discount applicable for carry-out too and inquired about it. They were nice enough to not charge for the coffee because of my misunderstanding!
Very nice servers. Guinness is on tap and delicious. The chips are very good. Wings are half price on Sunday. Plenty of TVs beers on tap. Live music on Saturdays.
The place is a trendy "Irish" pub. It is loud and open. There is a plenty of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. We had terrific service. The pretzel bites were good for two. If there is more in your party get more. They were excellent. The service was great. I had the Shepards pie, which was about the best Shepards pie I have ever had. Phenomenal. The chicken pot pie looked good and was reportedly very good. The beer. It was Guinness. So, it hit the spot. As long as you are prepared for loud you should not be disappointed.
Loved the food!! Absolutely delicious and full of flavor. There is nothing much to say really. Just go! Get your burgers, fries and desserts of and of course your alcohol, and be satisfied!!!
Convenient to Notre Dame. The place has a pretty nice Irish atmosphere. The staff was a little preoccupied socializing with each other and would occasionally check on the customers. They were friendly when they did check on you. The food is decent and was brought out quickly. The beer is inexpensive and cold. It is supposed to be a happening place, but a Monday at 6pm is not that time.
