No-frills fast-food chain preparing a variety of chicken wings & sides for takeout & delivery.
We order from here just about once a week for lunch, the food is always ready when I get there, still hot by the time I get back to work, and always tasty. The workers are super nice, I can tell they are hustling but they do a great job. We will be back again soon!!
Used to eat here moved away. Moved back recently. There quality was great quick service also friendly staff. The hottest sauce though? Complete trash at 12 no dipping sauces required. I remember afterburner now that was hot. Also they removed alot of other great sauces. The bourbon bbq and herbed Romano garlic. Those were so unique. Gone. Also ribs were kickin those are also gone. I guess if I want uniqueness(even though quality of wings is terribleI have to go to wild wings
Ive never gotten the wings but they have very good fries, the waffle fries with cajun seasoning is delicious, adding the cheese sauce takes it to the next level. Im not sure how they are to sit down in but for a take out meal there great
Wings were cold and so were the fries like come on lol 😂 we had dine in and came up to Vermont to come for wings. Also some man came in with a gun out in the open like why? To get chicken?
Great first experience on 06/09/2022 with Hot and Spicy Lemon Pepper. Still need to try some others on the menu, but I try to limit myself to wings once a week :I would definitely recommend.Lemon Pepper and Mesquite for tonight. Mesquite is a hard pass and I have had potato chip have more flavor. Lemon Pepper is a fun zing without the heat if you cant handle it. Still would recommend this place.
We’ve always been big fans on Wings Over but the last few times we’ve ordered we were very disappointed, especially since they changed their menu.I understand product prices have been going up and understand the price increase but don’t consider a tiny piece of chicken that is mostly bread crumbs, that’s not a chicken tender it’s probably a third of a chicken tender and there was barely any seasoning on the chicken.Very disappointing. Not anymore the way it used to be.
One of the best places to get some chicken tenders in town. Great flavor, friendly staff, and quick food.
Food was good but I ordered my wings with sauce on the side and was given a tiny tiny ketchup dipping cup size of sauce for a whole 4 large tender meal not enough for my tenders and it really sucked
Food is always great my kids love the Honey BBQ boneless tenders/wings as I love my buffalo tenders/wings the waffle fries and onion rings are so good as well love ordering from here youll be full for sure after youre done eating
While staying in burlington Vermont this was the best chicken 🐔 😋 I ever had and Im from Buffalo the tenderness meat I 🍖 ever tasted and the sauce just right
I love hot wings. I mean I really love wings. As much as pizza and beer. I have had wings all over the world. Hands down the best ever. The flavor the spice and service were excellent. Beyond compare. Was a bit expensive until I ate this poultry perfection. Have been back every time I go to Burlington VT. Highly recommend. Very small area to eat and dont have seating now with covid anyway so just take out last I knew.
Always kind and accommodating. Good food, great service. Very grateful to the workers for making my food for me, and serving the public in difficult times
Girl at front lucky I had a good day. Attitude was so uncalled for, will never come back here again. Hope life gets better for you.
Stuck in the snow with no yummy chicken. They brought it right out to me! Such good service and the tenders are sooooo good. Thank you wings over Burlington!!!
Some of the best local food I think you can get around here to be honest. Never had any experiences other than great ordering the food here, especially the lemon pepper chicken you can get here, and the waffle fries are absolutely fantastic. All in all a great place to get a tasty meal if ya ask me.
If you are hungover and/or craving something to eat late at night, this is the place for you. If you are thinking of trying here because youre craving decent chicken wings, tenders, or sandwiches, go elsewhere. The food is edible but I wouldnt call it enjoyable. The service is what it should be.
Very engaging staff and very good wings. It had been years since my last visit. The garlic parm wings were on point, delicious. Husband thought the buffalo style was ok. We enjoyed the cookies you can purchase in store. Also more drink options in store than was listed online
Flight in late, popped up Doordash when got to motel and only few places open, luckily Wings Over was one of them, food delivered at promised time and was hot! wings and garlic Taters cooked perfectly! So if in town late I highly recommend putting in a order
People who work there are very nice. The chicken wings are ok, not what my kids expected. They thought it would be breaded fried chicken. It is not. Its plain fried chicken wings (no breading!!smothered in sauces - we got some on the side . The sauces are good
Used to be a regular until they went through 3rd party delivery. Same Hangar 2 combo with a $5 tip used to come to about $42. Now via the convenience of DoorDash you can pay $56. Buh-bye.
Absolutely disgusting. I literally got a bunch of rotten chicken wings. Like, I couldnt figure out what was off but after the second one it hit me, this is the taste of turned meat. And thats besides the fact they were sloppy and gross despite telling them extra crispy. Just.. dont. They did credit me for more food but Im so turned off by chicken and feel pretty queezy, hope I dont get food poisoning.
Wings are great, sauce choices are awesome. The staff... well, tonight, the kitchen staff had a disagreement and they punched out and went out back to fight. Not a normal situation but!
One of the worst meals I have ever had. Fries were barely cooked and there was just a pile of seasoning dumped on top. Couldn’t even eat them. Wrap was awful. But I probably chose the wrong thing.
I’m visiting, staying in a hotel, and I was STARVING around 11:30 pm last night. The only places open for delivery were Wings Over and McDonald’s (🤢)I wanna stay in town a little longer, just so I can have Winga again for lunch. I ordered the Honey BBQ tenders, and they were SO good. I wish I had ordered more.
look, I used to order from here all the time. it was great, affordable, bulk ready-made chicken. But their prices no longer match their quality, or the numbers on their website or on google. A normal ~$25 order is now nearly $50, and the quality and experience is far from worth it.
Personally never ordering from here againit was around 12pm and i was hungry with 20$ and decided to order from here, i got the smallest thing i can get which is the c-17 or something, and it was 15$ with delivery and i gave the whole 20$ to the driver. But for a small order, i did not get my food until around 2 and i got a tiny container with soggy wings soaked in sauce, the bread was falling off the wings and the box and bag was messy from the juices leaking out, i used to like this place but this order just made me not want to come back.
The boneless honey mustard wings are without a doubt the staple of this location. Unbelievably delicious with plenty of sauce and moist, crispy chicken. Their buttermilk ranch is also unbeatable with their wings. I personally LOVE to dip their cajun waffle fries in the ranch. Calling over the phone is relatively easy. Some batches are better than others, and the inside of the location could look a bit cleaner and the staff could carry themselves a bit more professionally, but overall Ive never had a bad experience at this location with staff or the food
Unbelievable. They delivered to CVMC and the wings were delicious. The manager who delivered them was super pleasant. We will definitely order from them again. Delivery 3.29 but with a good tip they will keep coming back. The manager made a good point that if we can order as a group so they only have to come here once that would be awesome. That is totally understandable. Certainly not a disappointment
I ordered the Citrus Chipotle bone in wings and they were FANTASTIC! I waited a while to get them but thats because they were so busy filling a ton of orders. The thing that I loved about the wings is that they were cooked crispy first, and then coated. They were still moist on the inside. I will definitely go back to try more of their flavors!
Great concept but horrible business plan to deliver to all of Vermont and expect drivers to cover gas/maintenance cost. Even Uber has never been profitable is not this foolish. Start making it minimum orders for delivery coverage. Further the drive the more the minimum order has to be or a distance based service charge. Otherwise, you will not stay solvent and will go out of business. Good luck on being profitable or hiring drivers who could work anywhere else and make more money
Ive been a delivery customer for over a decade. Ive seen changes in management and dips in food quality and delivery times. In the last year and a half (even prior to the pandemic), there has been a significant decline in food quality. I dont know if there was a change in management. Easily 9 of the last 10 orders have arrived between lukewarm and cold. The chicken was dry and over-seasoned as well. The only good part is the 2L of soda, IF they remember to send it with the driver.
Found Wings Over Burlington through the To Go Tour on Facebook, its the only place ever that has been willing to deliver to my address. The food was made fast, it was delivered within the promised timeframe, the delivery driver was very patient and professional when she called to clarify delivery instructions and the food! The wings were delicious, I got the honey bbq and garlic parmesan which were both great. The loaded waffle fries were very generously loaded, and the onion rings were great. Very happy with this place!
Food and service is always great, but tonight we waited almost 2 hours for our delivery. I get it, its Friday night not that big of a deal, but when the food finally arrived it was cold. Thats a bit annoying after waiting for so long.
THEY DELIVER TO FAIRFAX. I couldnt believe this when I heard about and had to try. The person on the phone said "it will take awhile but will be fresh" and man did they not dissapoint. If you order from far away make sure to hook up the delivery drivers!!
I used to enjoy the "afterburner" sauce, which they have gotten rid of. I tried the hottest replacement last night, ok flavor but I miss the other sauce. It was different and deelish. The chicken however was not very good; dry and stringy with some parts I actually didnt want to eat. Doubt well be back anytime soon.
There is something slighty different about the chicken then it used to be. Specifically something different about the honey mustard tenders. Still good though; but not as good as they used to be.Everything is was fantastic, and the woman working the register offered to help me outside with my stuff! Which was super appreciated since juggling a baby and wings is difficult! Excellent customer service!
Always so good. They do not typically deliver to my address but they have been since covid and we have tipped well because of it. The wings are always delicous and the Cajun waffle fries with cheese always get devoured. Yum
What a fantastic business! I ordered for delivery via Postmates and due to a Postmates error, the delivery never arrived. I received a call personally from the manager on duty who offered to deliver my order himself!! Even though the food had been sitting waiting to be delivered, it was still warm and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
Great food at a pretty decent price. Honey mustard boneless chicken is amazing as well as the honey barbecue. My only complaint is you always have to make sure and check your order before leaving the store because they always seem to forget something whether its an order of fries or as simple as an extra ranch.
Love wings over. Try the waffle fries with cheese. Honey mustard or Jet Fuel are my go to wing flavors. If youre looking for heat try the After burner. They deliver locally but if you call ahead you can always pick it up and its hot & fresh every time I go
Wings over has pretty good food and excellent customer service. We’ve ordered here a lot over the past few years and never really had an issue. The last time we ordered from here our order was incorrect. We called, just to let them know we received the wrong order. Wasn’t really looking for our money back or anything but the GM gave us a credit for the entire order. He didn’t have to do this but it’s very much appreciated! The food is 4/5 but I’ll give them the 5/5 for great service!
Ive been going to various Wings Over locations since college and I was a bit hesitant to try Burlingtons after the reviews. However, I gave them a shot since Im no longer near one anymore.I thought they were fantastic. The boneless wings are better (like other locationsand the flavors were great. I ordered in person in the evening with a couple friends. It was dead, so service with quick and the food was out in twenty minutes. I was even surprised. Maybe this place falls apart under pressure?Regardless, I had a great meal with friends and would recommend.
Online ordered for pickup a small one person meal. I waited 30 min and received an email status update that the wings were ready for pickup. I left work and 15 minutes later I arrived. I was told it would be “a few minutes”. I waited for 30 minutes until I stood in line again (they stopped acknowledging I was even there despite the waiting area being directly in front of the cashier field of view). The food being still not ready, i had run out of break time for this self described “fast food” fix and had to ask for a refund and leave with no dinner. The refund never arrived. And when it comes down to the food I think Chicken Charlie’s across the street tastes 100x better and they don’t waste your time
Wings service has improved, now when they mess up my order they eventually send the rest of it (my kids food arrived about an hour after the rest of the order). They told me they would throw a complimentary waffle fry (with no flavor per my requestin to make up for it. The apology fries had a flavor my kids wouldnt eat. Without sarcasm I can say this an improvement over the service I received in the past.
Years ago I used to personally spend about $20 a week here. Every Friday the office would build up an order and wed all chill out in the conference room and eat. Wed also get it (picked up or deliveredat least once a week at home. Gathering of friends would often throw down for a big order during our weekly gatherings. These days, however, theres disregard for their customers (for example, is it truly impossible to drop a piece of wax paper or foil between two flavors?!?Their quality has been declining. Theyre now open for less than 8 hours a day (no more lunches. Their delivery radius was reduced so they no longer reached my old apartment. Having tried to complain to the owner/manager I now understand that this collapse is being driven from the top.My friends and I have given up and sought out a more caring source of chicken delights. We wont be back unless theres "Under New Ownership" signs in the windows.
Have not been there for a while as we have moved away. So we back in town ordered out and I ordered a puddle jumper which is supposed contain 10 wings and I arrived back at where I was staying there was only 7 wings..The large order of fries looked more like a very small portion. Since counting to 10 should not be difficult.. We will not be returning. My advice is check your food before you leave with your take out.
When i called the restaurant and asked them what heat levels they offered, they told me its based on a 5 tier heat scale. I love spicy food but wasnt sure what their 5 was. Ive taken the blazing challenge at buffalo wings wings and have to say that Im glad i only went with the 4. Great flavor and not overcooked.I ordered these for delivery and was pleasantly surprised to find out that 15 bone in wings plus delivery was only $15!I saw the 3 star rating here on Google and was sure Id be disappointed. Couldnt be further from the truth.
I felt obligated to write a review. The experience ive had with this place is just pathetic ( with the exception of some). I have ordered from this place over 20 times. About 12 of those times my orders showed up and they would forget my drinks every single time but instead of bringing them to me they would just give me credit. So, currently i have about $15 in credit just for drinks not being delivered. The last time i ordered they brought everything and I thought to myself "Oh great they are finally learning" until I noticed i was missing waffle fries, ingredients on a sandwich, chicken was broiled not fried and the thing they "specialize" in? the wings? Yeah those showed up, but they clearly were frozen and cooked to fast. They were rubbery, soggy and to top it off for some reason they had charred grill marks all over them. I have friends that use to work there and ive been told a majority of the staff get high while working and its not sanitary there, at first I didnt believe them until I got my last order. You have to be high out of your mind to send someone their order in the state mine was in. And when I called they said it would be more convenient for THEM to just refund or credit me instead of fixing the order. They need to hire some competent individuals. And dont get me started on the business hours, 5pm? Really?. They lost a customer.
I have always enjoyed Wings Over Burlington. My friend has never tried WOB so we ordered for delivery. She got the Full Boneless Caesar Salad. I spent the 40 minutes we waited for our food to arrive talking up the "amazing chicken". The greasy black bag gets to the door and I tip well like I always do. We excitedly sit down and start ripping in to the bag. She pulls out her flimsy black styrofoam box and opens it. We look down at the sad excuse for a salad and stare in silence. Looking back at us is a bunch of iceburg lettuce, the ends wilting and brown. a few strings of cheese and about 6 croutons. $8.99 for what looks like the left over scraps for the night. NO CHICKEN. I immediately call and after waiting for 10 minutes on hold while a manager is tracked down, I am told that they can send me a piece of chicken but it will be about 30 minutes... or I can have a $3.00 coupon applied to my phone number for the next time i call.... Had them send the chicken out.Did not even get an appology. I was asked, "Wow you really want us to send you the chicken?". Took over an hour and we get the smallest, coldest, dried out piece of nasty fried chicken I have ever seen. Thank you for the leftover scraps out of the trash you tossed together. I dont know if there is new management but it seems like a bunch of morons work there now.
I am a wing fanatic and was very disappointed when I tried the Afterburner sauce. It is supposed to be their hottest, but it was mild at best. The wings were okay. Well cooked. Tender. Not dry at all. But not crispy. And the sauce was so lame. I ordered the regular fries and they were flavorless and dry. The service was okay, but considering its not table service and it comes in disposable boxes that Im expected to throw away myself, I find the desperate pleas for tips on all the signage a bit weak. Just typing my order into a computer, calling out my name and handing me a box of food shouldnt justify a tip. Seriously.Maybe the other sauces are good, but Im only interested in heat and any place that claims to specialize in wings should have a hot sauce on the menu that is made with, at a minimum, habaneros.
