Great location basic clean rooms at a great priceWill be back
Never stayed at this hotel, but money has been taken out of my account by this hotel. Please be aware, very dodgy.Tried to contact them, telephone number doesnt ring out. No contact a-mail available. Stay clear.
Poor service... It was a bit dodgy how they checked us in: I had to transfer money to an unknown account and didnt get a receipt afterwards. Plus, while I was checking in a guy turned up who was high on something!I really missed the common room, they turned it into a private room.
This place is alright for backpackers and budget travellers but its not very cheap. Im not sure if there are other cheaper options in this town. Convenient as it is in the city centre. Toilets and baths are tiny but clean. Your drinks and groceries might not be 100 safe from the food stealers among other guests. Theres a kitchen/common area where there are couches and a piano and tables for dining. This room has large windows overlooking the streets. Kitchen itself is good with two ovens and burners and a small fridge. This area closes at 8ish pm every night
Very good experience at this hostel.Nice location, close to everything.Friendly common room with a piano, nice place to meet people
Amazing hostel! Friendly staff, very clean areas, warm and lovely decorations, and close to everything. You wont regret staying here 🙌🏻 Oh, and they also have a piano and offer lots of different tours!
Simple, but friendly place, at the heart of Stirling. My bed was clean and comfty, stuff really nice, I will def going back! ;The only issue was: loud, drunk people shouting on the street at 2am - well, city center, lot of pubs and bars around,
This was good for what it is. I got a private double but didnt stay in the hostel much as I had friends nearby that I spent my time there with. The bed was comfortable and facilities clean. There was a bit of noise coming from outside and you can hear every thumping step from people going up or down the stairs in the hostel. My room had a window but not much of a view as it was glazed. Overall I liked the hostel. Great location, comfortable bed (private double room), friendly staff and clean.
Great location near the train station. The staff were so friendly and helpful! I recommend the walking tour. Overall great time, hope to come back again!
Ive stayed here a few times and love it. The atmosphere is relaxed, company amazing Is the ghost of William Wallace is making sure only respectful people stay here?Is it threats from the same ghost that ensures its always spotlessly clean here? Who can tell all I know is I look forward to whenever it next is the spirit takes me back here.
Amazing hostel, very chilled vibe, the rooms are perfect and the lounge is beautiful, right in the heart of Stirling so 2mins walk to the station, will be back again soon
Two worst sleeps of my life. Woken by drunk roommates 3am and then 4am the next day. Dont stay here if you want a good nights sleep.
The hostel is in a great old Victorian building, which has a an undeniable charm and gives it a warm atmosphere and rich history.Management and staff are great, always very nice, friendly, ready to help and to have a good time with the guests as well .The rooms are regularly improved and made nicer and more comfortable, as the hostels direction only wants the best for the guests. The location is perfect, with very quick access to train and bus station, but also right in the centre of the town, which makes it super easy to get anywhere interesting or fun in the city.I recommend!
The owner is completely unprofessional, and has an accusatory nature. Plus he doesn’t apologize when mistaken , basically a moody individual who takes it out on the customers.
Five pounds to hold luggage... no need to carry up to the castle. Free wifi. Thanks Willy!
This hostel is friendly with a well stocked kitchen and lounge area. Bathrooms could be a little cleaner and there arent any big lockers to store anything. Overall nice place.
Super great stay, all the staff were so awesome, accommodation was clean, quiet and comfortable, I know I will be back
I had a pleasant enough stay but it seemed overpriced for a backpackers hostel, even for a private room. The room and facilities felt a little worn, though everything was reasonably clean. The room did not have space for anything except a bed and chair (no deskand the wifi was very slow. The location was convenient though, just a couple blocks from the train and bus station.
Great place to store luggagd while visiting Stirling. 5 pounds a bag, friendly trustworthy staff.
Clean, clean, clean! Friendly, helpful, easygoing staff. I’ll come back here for sure! Thanks you for making my first hostel experience a positive one
Most comfortable bunk beds in any of the hotels Ive been to - slept like a baby despite the Saturday night crowd outside (the windows look out on a busy street that has one of Stirlings nightclubs). The room was clean, bright, large with tall ceilings and I never felt cramped. The decor of the room is nothing special, but the common room looks charming and victorian. Absolutely lovely staff. You can get a good deal on prices if you stay a longer time (Ive met people whove been around for months!)
A great place to meet new people. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are very well cleaned and the breakfast is amazing. The hostel is located in the centre of Stirling.
I actually loved this place. I was really nervous staying at a hostel considering it was my first time but it was so wonderfully quirky. We had the family room for myself and my 3 kids. It has a double bed and a bunk bed. The facilities are clean. The staff super nice and helpful. My only less than glowing thing to say was the bunk beds are really not comfortable at all but I can understand why they arent. The double bed is quite nice. Ive been extremely impressed. Would stay here again alone or with my family.
One of the very nice hostels I have been to, starting from the hospitality to the flexibility, you can come in anytime using a provided code, free hot drinks, nice view from the terrace, many movies to watch, nice living room with good ambiance, lastly , Sterling is really small but so nice and unique, one night and day is more than enough for it, if in summer, one night will be so fair
Not worth the stay, wish I could give it minus stars. Cant tell who staff are, if you can they aint very friendly. It badly needed updating and cleaned. Door doesnt shut properly and window broken. No one around last night when I had a issue with a man in my room and didnt feel safe . Not any good places to get changed. I recommend skipping this place, its a joke
Staff was very friendly, the kitchen sufficed, the bedroom and bathroom were great too, and it was extremely cheap on top. Would definitely go there again.
Great Hostel with very friendly, helping and guiding plus advice for what I needed to go visit. The Hostel is located in the centre of Stirling, 2min walk from railway station. The place in a really beautiful old building, all nice and tidy inside. The interior plus the designs gives a warm feeling. Yes its warm, cozy and peaceful Hostel.A recommendation it sure is! ★★★★★
Cosy traditional with nice view at a spar market. My sincerest recommendation. Keep your flow!
Nice big bed and very nice staff. Central with good cafes near by. Very good big kitchin and common area
I stayed in this hostel for three weeks, and thought it was really homely and laid-back place with a beautiful and airy common area.
Used it for left luggage. Was the only place in town, felt they took advantage of this as prices were very high.I would not call 30 pounds, for 4 bags for 4 hours a "small" fee. I call that taking advantage of a monopoly.
Surprisingly clean for a hostel. No towels, they charge 3£ for one which is an absurd price. Free coffee and tea which was also nice.
Colourfully decorated but the beds are just boards of thin wood with a thin foam "mattress" on it. Showers are okay.
Only stayed for one night, but the rooms were nice, the people kind and helpful and it was overall well organized.
Cool place to stay, rooms are clean, beds are comfy - friendly staff. Breakfast is okay and enough to start the day. There are no free parking spots but in Stirling you have free parking after 6pm on most of the parking spots you need to pay at daytime. Its in the city centre of Stirling so places to visit and shopping is easily done by foot. The showers are very small (so be sure to plan your trip to the bathroom ;-)but more than enough cause this is still a hostel - not a luxury Hotel 😀
Beautiful, clean hostel right in the centre of Stirling with a lovely new kitchen - the best hostel kitchen I’ve ever seen!
Really nice hostel in a beautiful place, as the manager gave me a coffee. And the new kitchen is really cool. You can find all the necessary to cook
Very clean and cozy hostel! The kitchen is amazing and workers are superfriendly :)
Its been the cheapest hotel in town, next to the train station. Nice welcome from the réception, there is a big map in the lounge, the whole décoration is quirky.Thank you for the nice stay Ill be back.
Really nice hostel, just a couple minute from the train station and right in the city center! The accommodation is comfy and quiet. The staff is amazing and friendly, if you have any questions dont hesitate!
central location, great facilities, clean and very colourful. best hostel kitchen Ive ever seen!
Wonderful staff! The hostel is really nice, clean, comfortable and is closet to train station and to the castle :)
A great hostel. Very welcoming, clean and comfortable. The staff are brilliant. The common room is really comfortable and attractively decorated. It is incredibly close to the station. The showers are a little small but they work well. Definitely recommend highly.
I gave this a 4 simply because there where lots of stairs ...the room was immaculate ,comfortable and adequate ,perfect location, lovely staff ,everyone we met very friendly ,, ...toilets and showers where again immaculate first class....would recommend ....
You must love to party, across from all clubs in a college town. The taxi line assembled at 2am near the window. Drunk people falling on the floor. Forbid you check out a few minutes late you get screamed and cursed by an angry manager who threatens to charge extra night. There was a line for the shower in an 18 person dorm, sorry that we were 10 mins late on checkout, don’t lose your cool and curse and scream like a child.. cool town though
Nice hostel in the city center. The people are welcoming and really helpful to tell where to go and what to visit.
Nice, clean and simple rooms. Basic accommodations but worth the price.
Nice place, good dorm (quiet and clean), good showers (although not too many), helpful personnel. The coffee is not too great though, but thats okay
Best hostel I ever had the chance to sleep in! The staff are some of the kindest people Ive ever met, the place is spacious, super clean, the kitchen is enormous and well equiped and the same applies to the living room. Enter as a client, leave with new friends made!!!
Friendly and homely, just wish there were more plugs in the rooms, better WiFi in the rooms and lamps. Otherwise cant fault it, excellent place and staff
