Simple counter-serve American cafe featuring hot dogs, rice bowls & falafel, plus outdoor seats.
We love Wildas, but last night we left saying this is the first time it wasnt up to par as usual. We have always had excellent food before. Maybe just an off night. Certainly not typical of Wildas. We will definitely be back as Im sure next time will be a good as it always is.
Spicy tofu bowl is 10/10, highly recommended. This is a wonderful combination of zesty, crunchy, and spicy from the veggies and the tofu, beans, and rice provide a well seasoned and warm base with a contrasting soft texture. Portion is generous and filling too. If you have never had tofu before or tofu that has not been fried, this is a great place to try it. Micro greens and cucumbers are my preferred additions and getting the sauce layered helps ensure an even coating.
Food is always great and staff is friendly. Buddha Bowl is the best.
Buddha Bowl and sweet potato fries. Great garlic dipping sauce
Wildas is the bro meal of bro meals. I love how quickly they get food from their customers.
Best vegan place to eat in nor cal! Hands down! Buddha bowl is bomb!
On September 17th 2022, I walked into wildas before they closed and requested that the doors be locked before 7:00 pm as I wanted to have no Karen’s (Cassandra from Facebookcome into the restaurant 5 minutes before closing because that’s scummy. They provided exceptional customer service. The waitress was absolutely amazing along with the food that was hand delivered by one of the cooks. 10/10 would dine here again.
This place has excellent service, staff and food. They greet warmly and make sure to say goodbye and thank you as you leave. Great place.
Buddha bowl... Ask for it in a basket its easier to eat
A lot of good food but a little expensive still. Sweet potato fries were great! Would love to see combos offered.
Always get extra Pink sauce and have it made upside down!!! Mmmm!
Simple menu. Had the falafel rice bowl and it was filling. Eclectic for sure but a good stop.
Best lunch in Redding. Fast service, clean, has North-state beers on tap. XX
No matter how good the food, I believe customer service is as important.Food was really yummy, but our server was lacking. Here is an idea, dont argue with the customer about what they ordered.
Extremely original flavors. Some of the best falafel Ive ever had with superb flavor and texture. The Buddha bowl was amazing! I loved the house sauce with the cabbage. I could have eaten just that! Everything on the menu looked incredible. Would absolutely come back again!
I didn’t like the Buddha bowl with tofu. I don’t think I will go again. Staff and place was fine.
My budda bowl was made perfectly as usual. Hands down my favorite lunch in Redding!
Delicious tofu bowl. Very generous portion and good price. I will def.be coming back.
Nice relaxed atmosphere very good food, easy access and very friendly people working here
Great place to have lunch. They offer dinning inside in the cool or outside dining in the shade in two covered patio, or breezeway. Clean, with speedy freindly service. 1 Make your order. 2 Leave your name, and 3 they bring it to you when its done. Hot and tasty.
I feel bad about not giving five stars because of dressing, but there was a little too much on my last chicken Budda bowl. Other than that, I love the food and the atmosphere. The staff is awesome, its clean inside and out, and there are lots of easily accessible condiments, flatware and napkins. This food is WHOLESOME, TASTY, AND AFFORDABLE! Its not pretentious and everyone is welcome. Go get some.
Thought Id give Wildas a try and ordered the Falafel sandwich. What arrived was a Pita bread, (goodand two Falafel balls (also good), but then, are you ready... A large pile of cabbage smothered in Green Goddess Dressing !!OMG where was the Tahini sauce?? If Wildas wants to serve something different, like middle eastern food, the least they could do is serve a genuine sandwich. Or at a minimum offer the customer a choice. After all, for a ten dollar sandwich that really cost about two bucks to make... Wildas could do much better !!
Buddha bowls are really good! We got a chicken one and a tofu one and added a falafel to each so we could try them. Loved the bowls, but the falafels are more on the soft side rather than having a crispy outside, so neither of us really cared for them. The bowls are a huge portion size at a good price point and tasty at that. Would definitely come back for those.
Great food, decent price. The front receptionist was lack luster and quiet but still helpful and respectful! Will be coming back.
The Buddha bowls are pretty healthy and decent tasting, not the greatest thing ever by any means but reasonably priced for healthy food in Redding (which is hard to find). The Wildas Dog is awesome if youre an onion lover like me. They have Guayaki Yerba Mate which is always a plus in my book. Fries are crispy and flavorful. Staff is slightly friendly but not overly, not very personable but the customer service other than that is good. Recommend this local joint.
For the most part I always enjoyed the food at Wildas, sometimes the partially cooked onions piled high were not good. My visit yesterday was a negative experience for these reasons: The spicy heat in my tofu box was so intense I couldnt eat most of it, and the blasting loud music was something I had not noted during previous visits, it was obnoxious and so loud it made conversation almost impossible. We couldnt wait to leave. At times the food is inconsistent, only a few days ago my tofu box was excellent and was not overly spicy. Of course we will try again because we do like the menu, but it is safe to say if they strike out again we wont be back.
I thought the intention was good. The bowl was loaded with cabbage and all the good stuff was hard to get too. Maybe mix up the veggie thats mixed with the protein and beans?
I had the chicken Budda bowl, it was okay. At the end of the meal I felt like I had eaten a healthy meal, but to be honest I think I ate too much salad dressing for it to be healthy. The ingredients are layered, and the bowl is full, so its hard to mix, so the first few bites are all cabbage.
The food here is unique and awesome. My Favorite is the Garlic Hot Dog. Buyer beware, the flavors are extremely strong.
Tofu Buddha bowl was filling and great! Price is spot on too! Fun atmosphere in this little spot.
Love the chicken Buddha bowl with extra pink so much that even after eating there for years, I can’t comment on any of their other food!
Buddha bowls are excellent, falafel balls are very tasty. Sweet potatoes fries are super good. Highly recommended for a healthy meal.
Absolutely outstanding! After being on the road for 10 days I found this gem on Google maps. I ordered the Both Bowl & Hot Mess Fries. They are both truly delightful and the portion was enough for two people. Loaded with toppings, loaded with taste, loaded with yummy goodness. If Im ever passing by again I will definitely stop by.
Since my husband and I dont like cabbage, we always order the Buddha Bowl without it. Although the box looks small, they fill their Buddha Bowl very graciously. I usually get full eating half of the bowl, and then I get to save the second half for lunch the next day. Tastes great, and absolutely worth the $8.50!
The most original healthy fast food around! Try a Buddha Bowl, the signature item, with chicken, tofu or falafel. The bowl is served in a Chinese food take-out container 🥡. Easily turn the container into a bowl by removing the metal handle and pressing the sides down. Nifty!
I would definitely go back here for the Buddha bowl with the rice and beans salad and tofu with two different kinds of dressings, had a bit of a kick but a delicious vegan option which was great for me. They also have hotdogs made up 5 or 6 different ways
Had an excellent hot dog. Funky cool place, small menu. My friend had a chicken rice bowl, said it was great. The hot dogs are huge too. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Good place if you have a doggie.
Great food and have multiple vegan choices. By far our favorite was the Buddha Bowl which is excellent. Also had the falafel which was a bit dry. Friendly staff.
Very tasty, healthy options on their short but sufficient menu. It was busy when I went, but the staff was hustling and I didn’t wait more than about 10 minutes for my food. The outdoor seating was really pleasant. There was a little farmers market in the parking lot on the Friday afternoon I was there, which was a double bonus. I had the Buddha bowl with falafel, which was delicious, nutritious, and satisfying. My only complaint was not having a napkin in the bag and not wanting to go back into the restaurant to have to find one or request one. But I’ll definitely be back!
Always five star service! The food is so good, I always do a regular Buddha Bowl with chicken. Something the upside down option is better! All in all will be going again. Sorry no photos this time....I ate the bowl too fast!!
Tasty and yummy food and would highly recommend it. The Buddha bowl has unique flavors and quantity sufficient for two people. Even the falafel wrap was amazing with the falafel balls having a good flavor.
Stoked! Got both the tofu Buddha Bowl and the Falafel. Both dishes were delicious and came in plentiful portions. Filled with real wholesome foods. Service was fast and easy. Definitely my go to Redding food spot anytime I pass through town.
So good! Mix up your taste buds and give Wildas Grill a try
Loved the Buddha Bowl here. The sauces they use for dressing are to die for. Was pleasantly surprised to find this place during our stay in Redding CA. The cost of food is very reasonable and definitely a bang for the buck!!Highly recommend this place for vegetarians too. !!
I have to say, I had a few choices to choose from for dinner tonight and I am so happy I chose Wildas Grill! Their Buddah Bowl was just what I was looking for. Healthy and affordable. The girls there were super nice. I will definitely be going back when I come to work in Redding. Thank you!!!
The food is so good and fresh. First time trying falafel. I had it in my buddha bowl. Absolutely delicious.
The food was quite good, particularly the Buddha Bowl with chicken. It was an interesting combination of flavors that worked well!
First time here and got a Wildas Dog. A little sweet heat from the Dijon mustard paired nicely with the salty meat and sauerkraut. Would definitely go here again. Reasonably priced and relatively quick.
The chicken Buddha Bowl was excellent! I cant wait to go back and try the other flavors. The portions were very generous and the price was great. I went in the middle of the lunch hour and the wait wasnt bad, but seating was limited.
Budda bowl was absolutely amazing, wasnt expecting so much delicious food for that price! The staff were all kind and very informative. The paintings and atmosphere was cool as well.
