Wild Wing - Chicken wings restaurant in Winnipeg, Canada
I went to eat lunch and the place was empty and that should have been a red flag! The waitress recommended the boneless wings. I was so disappointed they were overcooked and potato chips were undercooked and I couldn’t even eat my meal. Not once did the waitress come by and ask if everything was okay so I asked for a bill and left!! I love wings but this place is atrocious inside and the staff don’t care about the product they are serving or the customer.
Some of the best wings in town!!! Time to set up your voice mail witha message. Wanted wings for supper on sunday and both locations were closed for no reason. Hours say open till 10 pm and you dont even bother putting a sign on the door. Thought maybe just to busy to answer the phone so I drove all the way to the restaurant to find closed with no notice. Annoyed and may not return doe a while.
The wings have a very nice distinct taste like it that is the reason for 4 stars. The temperature inside this location was set to high but called the phone number on their thermostat and they allowed me to lower it from 28C to 22C. The chicken still tasted awesome! Thanks again! The Menus had some sauce on them! There could be some improvement in this area!
We went to eat and the place was empty which caused us to become curious (it was a holiday and every other place was packed in the area so we checked google reviews while waiting for our food. This made us hesitant to stay. Once the waitress brought out the ketchup and vinegar we knew we had to leave. The bottles were so dirty I can’t even imagine what the kitchen looked like. So we left before our food even came out. Would definitely never go back. There was dried food on the walls in our booth that has been there for weeks or months. I’m curious if the health inspector has popped in ever? Because that vinegar bottle was atrocious.
Was there on Tuesday wing night. Place was basically empty. My wings came out cold and soggy. They tasted fine, but I find it hard to believe that they get $16 a pound the rest of the week. Even at $8 a lb, they were not a great value. There are places in town that serve equal or better wings for a much lower price both regularly and on wing nights.
Amazing selection of wings, but never busy. Easy to get a table, quick to get food. Average selection of beer.I love the wings here
The place has this weird pungent smell perhaps coming from their kitchen. The food came out after waiting for about 20 minutes. There seems to be a bit of miscommunication between waiters and kitchen because the waiter we had didnt know which dishes they still have on stock in kitchen. Food was okay, not very impressive.
Very good wings. Not a fan of the hot, but lots of other great flavours
DONT EAT HEREuse to be one of my favourite places to eat, minus the terrible service. now that my boyfriend felt ill after and turned out have gotten food poisoning, we will never be eating here again nor recommend eating here.
Awful. Went there for lunch....loud, crude rap music playing. Waitress was less than thrilled to see someone come in (we were the only ones there. We left without even opening the menus.
The wings here are the best around. The heat of the wings is also really good. I was just hoping that they would have a wing so hot that it was almost dangerous to eat. This is just a pipe dream I guess.
9 wings for $17.50? And package the potato chips in the same container with the hot wings so they can be nice and Soggy. People come back to this place?
Love their wings never go wrong but dont you skip the dish because itll take 2 hours to get your order not Wild Wings fault they did great
I’ve been to wild wings before. I do like the wings. I go to take my friends there (a group of 8 people). Because we where 8 people, there was an extra 15% on there. We attempted to separate the group in two, two tables, two bills. We didn’t even need to sit together. They still said they where charging us an extra 15%. If that’s the type of business it is, I don’t need to go back there. If I’m not welcome with my friends, I’m not welcome alone either. If I can help it, I’m not going back there ever, and I will let all my friends know about that too.
So disappointed with this place! We live in the area so we have been a few times, one of the first issues was noticing they were washing the ketchup bottles and refilling them, maybe not such a big deal, except the bottle had been washed to where then bottle was turning white, instead of clear as it should be, label was almost completely washed off. Looked gross to be honest.Second issue was someone in my party had the pickle dog, the bread wars so dried out, the top of the hotdog bun was flaking off and looked like it had been around for a few weeks. The hot dog itself was microwaved maybe, had that rubbery consistency. They do have a lot of flavours of wings, and if your just there for the wings then you might want to give it a shot. Service is not great, management doesn’t seem to care. Haven’t been back since and won’t be going back at all
If you like wings you have to try Wild Wing! The number of options are insane and unique flavors available that you will not see anywhere else. They also offer other menu items for those who are dining with non wing lovers! The service was good and the atmosphere very relaxed.
The wings were good. We chose 4 different flavors but they all tasted similar. A little pricey.
In my opinion, best chicken wings in Winnipeg. Very meaty, and you can order them any one of hundreds of ways (with and without breading). Ive never had a bad meal here yet.
Never going back!Food was decent, but a bit pricey for the quality. After a few of the boneless wings, all I could identify was the McNugget like breading texture.Service was ok I guess, but the place was empty. One waitress easily covered the table.__When__the__bill__came__, we were told that because we were 4 couples sitting together, there was a mandatory additional 15% gratuity on all of our bills.
Very over priced for the food you get. Buffalo or their medium wings had barely any sauce, they were dry and not the tasty juicy wings that you usually get with a medium at pretty much any other wing place in Winnipeg. The server was nice and fries were good... Very dissapointer for wings and price. Also note the place was very empty for a Saturday night...
Some friends told us to go on a Tuesday for half off wings, good deal and they throw in some veggies and dip too. Serivice was great and wings were awesome!
Wild wing was great, they do wings really, really well. It was near empty when we went and it was a weekday, so service was pretty quick. The wings came out piping hot, and they were great. The only negative I have is that theyre quite expensive so it cant really be a weekly outing. Highly recommended if you like wings
Great spot for a wing lover. Great size, wide assortment of great flavors that really taste like they say they are. Go hungry for best value.
Possibly the worst place in Winnipeg to eat. For a “Wing Expert”. They are among the worst I’ve ever had. Don’t bother ordering Extra hot, it’s mild at best. Over cooked old tast. And the Hot Dog we ordered, bad tasting rotten smell to it. Save your self the over priced bill you’ll receive at Wild Wing and spend a better time at another restaurant.
The food tasted fine for me, but my dining companion who goes out for wings was a bit out raged. The pricing is really high compared to other places. The selection is good but you cant just order wings on their own... You have to order it and it will come with a side like fries and your standard celery and carrots. The garlic parmesan sauce is really messy but its not in a good way. If you are going to put it on so unevenly Id just rather have something like a sauce to dip it in. Some spots were too much while others were lacking. The atmosphere was fine and the server very friendly, but she didnt have any answers for us when we asked why didnt they just serve wings on their own.I had been here awhile back and had their jerk sauce. I really didnt like it. The ones we ordered today were fine for me but my dining companion kept comparing it to other places.Ive seen a lot of suggestions on other posts that I have to agree with.
I would find it hard to come here again. I showed up a little late to a party with a few friends and didnt actually get service until I had been sitting for 30 mins. By that time all my friends food had showed up. I finally got asked for a menu but didnt really want to order because my friends were almost done. However I did because I felt bad. The food is not great, for a wing place the wings were actually trash. I left feeling sick and uncomfortable. Additionally they are expensive. I got one order that MUST come with a side , and because I didnt order a pop or beer got charged MORE. 20$ for one order seems steep on a wing special.
Good wings. A little on the pricey side. Cold beer served.
Seriously, go elsewhere. $16 for wings is nuts, there are way better tasting and cheaper options. Beer specials arent anything to rave about. $30 later and I would of had a way better experience almost anywhere else for sub $20. Wing are relatively cheap, not sure what the premium charge is for?
Half price pound of wings on Tuesday which is nice but they usually only have one server working the entire restaurant during lunch time which makes for slow service and often food that isnt all that hot and having to ask for things like water or ranch dip a few times before it actually gets to the table.
Staff is always friendly, the seats are pretty uncomfortable but youre not staying for too long, so no big deal. Food always comes out quickly and is pretty consistent, dont be intimidated by the number of wing flavours (101), for the most part they are mix and match combos of the base about a dozen sauces. Try the Cadillac Ranch though, best thing on the menu.
The food was ok, portion size was acceptable but the lack of service was terrible. Had too wait far too long considering the amount of people in the restaurant. I ordered the lunch special which was an Inferno Burger, it wasnt hot at all, but was only $10 including fries. Their regular priced items seem kind of pricey. I would go back and try them again though.
Excellent meal. Dissapointed in fact no paper towel rolls on tables and wet naps as used to be in past. Blue cheese dip a little bland. Servers very nice and attentive.
Went there for a date with my boyfriend! Had nothing but great food and costumer service. My boyfriend loved the wings! I however don’t eat them and shaelynn gave me different options right away! Can’t wait for the next visit :)
The servers were nice, the wings were crispy, juicy, meaty, and savory, but honestly, other places do it better. Drop your prices, serve the wings hotter (temperature), and make sure your dry wings seasoning is evenly coated and satisfactory (my dry spicy lemon was neither spicy nor lemony until the last one which had aloooot of seasoning). I dont want any comp, just want to know constructive criticism is heard and Ill come back to have even better wings next time :Thanks
Wings are very good and most drinks are good (Pina colada is terrible. The only thing that turns me off of this place is the fact that if you sit too long they glare at you basically wanting you to leave. When we go we are good paying customers , due to this we may find another spot for our monthly wings!
Dont waste your time. $16 for an order of wings? Nah. Most of their flavours are so similar they almost cancel each other out. The burger I had was definitely freezer burnt and pretty disgusting. If you want awesome wings at a good price, drive an extra 5 minutes to Little Bones and skip this garbage.
I have been to lots of wing places in Winnipeg and this place is my new favorite. They have an extensive list of flavours for wings to satisfy pretty much anyone. The price is reasonable and the service was great. Very casual and a great place to meet after work for some wings and beers or any other time for that matter.
Amazing selection! Incredible flavors! They make their own cactus cut type potato chips - wide variety and so so delicious! Great service. They have "deal of the day" most days for things like, fish and chips, wings, burgers...well priced.
First time here and nothing special,Inside needs an upgrade,Thought since its a wing place the wings would be better then everywhere else but not really, very heavy breading ordered 30 wings for $34.Had some wings that were very hot but not much flavor just heat, overall not bad but again nothing special.probably wont be back.
Wings are great. On my first few visits the service was excellent. On my last few The service is poor at best. Was made to feel like an imposition just wanting a beer. Was asked several times if I was leaving but never once if I wanted anything more off the menu or another beverage. Seems like gossip & chatting with coworkers is more important than customer service. I wont be back anytime soon. Shame cuz Im a wing addict & its close to home.
Past few times have been pretty good, but on our most recent visit it took me walking up to the bar to get someone to come to our table to serve us. Overall a good place with plenty of wing choices. Definitely go on a Tuesday though, much more affordable.
Terrible service! Waitress provied poor service, i had to flag her down if we needed anything, ordered wings they took over half hour and when they came out they were barely warm to the touch. Took one bite and couldnt eat more, asked the waitress for our bill with plates full she didnt care to ask if anything was wrong with the food. Paid the bill and left, we will never return.
Excellent selection of Wings. Good place for a family time.
Service is always bad, cold and drafty in the winter. Food is nothing special as most places have better wings, service and atmosphere. They really fall short compared to the locations in Ontario which are bigger with much nicer interiors and options and entertainment areas.I see no motivation to ever come back here.
Best wings in town, but they have other things on the menu too. If you like spicy, but not too spicy, they can put the spicy cause on the side, allowing you to "throttle" the spice to your liking, just ask!
They have 101 flavors of wings. Prices are getting insanely high, however the wings do not disappoint with their size.
Had a couple of orders of "sweating bullets" and they were delish. Good sized wings and ice cold beer. My waitress was very attentive. I will be back
Mediocre at best. Service personnel maybe smiled once but that was when she got her pay cheque. No wonder there was only 4 tables of people at prime time on a Saturday. This place started out well but has gone down hill serving dried out wings that came from malnourished chickens. Better wings at the Sharks club during 29 cent wing night!!!!
Went there for our first time this evening and will never go again. The service was terrible, once we placed the order it than took about 40 mins to receive the food. The wings were so small that you would think they were from a baby chicken
Wings are decent but stay away from the Boss Hogg Nachos! Boss Hogg must have ordered the cheese and sold it to another county. Total rip off! Extra sauce must be made from caviar eggs the way they are priced.
