Wild Roast is the best community cafe. With amazing and personalized drinks, bistro foods, and stellar baristas, it is the place to recharge! The ambiance is mellow, and the gift sections are socked with unique and sustainable goods. The best place on the Bluff for me.

As so many of our listeners know I love my coffee and Im picky about who I do business with in that respect. Ive travelled the country far and wide and Wild Roast is definitely one of my all time favorite coffee shops!

Great coffee, awesome gift shopping, very safety conscious. Makers market is nice too.Okay, Im going to amend my review. I got a Harper Latte, and asked about the sugar content, and the barista was very accommodating. I LOVED it! 11/10 - do recommend.Update 2 years later: still have great coffee, still accommodating sugar content, and still have awesome stuff to shop. Saw 3 people working on computers, several small groups chatting, some people reading. Hubby and I pretended to be on a first date and had a lovely time.

We ordered 2 frappes, they were delicious. Also bought a cute coffee cup. Cool place to have coffee and a snack!

Love this place. The baristas are always so pleasant and welcoming. This place has become an almost daily visit for me!

The Iced maple white chocolate latte is amazing! They have some good selections for coffee and treats. There are some board games in the back to keep your kids entertained as well. There are also some items that can be purchased as gifts (see my photos). The things I do not like: there are only two very small tables outside with no options for outlets. It smelled a bit strange inside as well. I personally wouldn’t want to work from there all day long.

A very comfortable place to have a coffee and pastries. Quiet and with the possibility to stay for long time if you need a place to work or study out of home. The make a good variation of coffees from a real like Italian macciato to Starbucks like.

Really tasty coffee!!! Met the couple that owns the cafe while we were on a pitstop here on our trip from WI. It turns out that one of them is from Green Bay! Small world and really cool atmosphere. Will stop again!

Truly excellent latte. The harper = house-made (blackberry shortbread), got it with white chocolate + whipped cream and it was a REAL treat! Will definitely be back.

This is my favorite business to support when I visit my family in Hoover! The coffee and food are always great, and curated collection of items for sale are wonderful and often make me laugh. I love that they spotlight local artisans and that they represent inclusiveness in their merchandise. They obviously care about the health and safety of their staff and customers, with plexiglass dividers at check out, requests that masks are worn to enter and order, and having a dew outdoor tables for seating. I miss doing puzzles in the coffeehouse and there are a nice selection of books to read 📚 The staff is so welcoming and friendly!😊 Wild Roast is the best!!☕️

The cold brew coffee and blueberry scone was excellent. I have stopped by 3 times and have had great experiences. The staff is very nice.

One of the best coffee joints around the Birmingham area. The staff is really friendly and the coffee is even better! I’m obsessed with their Hank Sr. latte (pictured), which is absolutely delicious. They also have a wonderful selection of food and locally sourced gifts. If you’re looking to shop local, they have lots of great options, including artwork. It is located at the top of Bluff Park and there is typically plenty of parking. It is directly across the street from the Tip Top Cafe. There is a mix of comfortable seating inside and small tables and chairs outside.

First time here. Wonderful! Friendly staff, delicious coffee and tea and drinks. Homemade delicious baked goods. Loved the food and drinks and welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Lots of seating. Safe social distancing. Well definitely be back!

This place is so good! We were passing through on our way to Atlanta and stopped here for breakfast and coffee. Their pastries are so delicious and fresh. The coffee is smooth, bold and has an amazing flavor. Would recommend this place to any coffee lover.It’s beautifully decorated, has some cool gift-like items for purchase, and board games with hangout spots.There’s also an amazing lookout view right across the street. It’s among some pretty shops and really pretty houses.

Such a cute cafe!! They have a huge variety of drinks and light bites and even have boba tea!!! They also have a wealth of trinkets and goods -- everything from mugs and jewelry to soaps and books (all from either local or fair trade artists). This is an excellent addition to the Bluff Park community!

In a world wear moms and their little ones are often not made to feel welcome in places like coffee shops ect. The ladies working there made us feel like any other customer. They even had a changing table in the bathroom. Thank you!Great atmosphere tons of snack options and good drinks.

A must on the bluff. Great, community oriented owners, smiling employees, good vibes, delicious menu items, and - drum roll - good coffee. Did I mention that they have open mics and events from Rap to Readings. I caught an installment of "Noir at the Bar" and was so happy to have an event like this in Bham.

I love this place a family based business, where they care about their customers. The environment inside is friendly and employees are awesome, like to help and love what they do.Also they support a lot of hand made things where help a lot of people.

Nice shop with some trinkets and t-shirts. I had a Blueberry Muffin and a medium cappuccino. The muffin was good and the staff offered to put it in the microwave to heat it up.There are a few little round tables and chairs out front. The door sounds like a cats meow when it opens and closes.If you walk across the street there is a nice view of the valley. Here is the deal. This is an interesting location and its a nicely run coffee shop.If you are a coffee connoisseur you will not be impressed . If you are looking for a nice place to meet friends or family, you wont be disappointed.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try this place out but I am so glad I did! Everything about my experience was great, and the inside is really cute if you need a good place to read, study or work!

Staff excellent. Super friendly. Everyone required to wear a mask - so I feel super safe having coffee there (and getting it to go). LOVE their cold brew - we get a growler full every time we go!

Went into Wild Roast before the pandemic and my son loved that they had a little play area which also allowed me to drink my coffee while it was still hot 🤣. Went this past week and the young lady suggested a frozen hot chocolate to my son and he said, yes, please! He took one sip and said, yum, this is so good. The staff was very friendly and so patient with my son.

This is literally a hidden jewel on the top of a mountain! Inside Bluff Park Shopping, it is a little hard to find as it does not have an awning sign. However, once inside you will enjoy the spacious and eclectic layout which boasts a dedicated childrens play area, couches and public books, games and puzzles. The menu is fantastic and offers enough tasty treats to make a meal. There is outdoor seating and you can fully enjoy the mountain top view by walking across the street...

Very cute coffee shop! They have a space for kids with legos, a train, some crayons and I a little kitchen. They sell handmade products and soaps. I got myself a cute fairy made in Nepal. They also offer some yoga classes downstairs and have some food. I liked their avocado spread. Their coffee was good as well!

When traveling, I’ve often visited great, cool, independent coffee houses and thought, “Ohhhhhhh, I wish we had this in Birmingham”. We do! Wild Roast! Great coffee and cool atmosphere. My new favorite place to hang. The art. The games. The puzzles. The kid area. The taste treats. Did I mention the GREAT coffee?

We stop by Wild Roast almost every week. Its a great low-key place to spend some family time together, play a board game, and have a nice coffee. My husband and I have also really enjoyed going to their regular trivia events on date nights. Love having this cozy little spot in our neighborhood!

I love going to Wild Roast. The atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. The toy area is my favorite part because I’m now able to meet friends and actually talk while the kids play and have a great time. It’s my favorite meet up spot. I highly recommend it!

Perfect spot to sit and visit with friends. Stopped by this week with my friend and our two dogs. They have water outside for the dogs, plus a great view. They delivered our coffee and treats, plus treats for the dogs to us outside. Highly recommend Wild Roast Cafe!!!!

I have 2 Starbucks and several other coffee places that are closer to my house than Wild Roast, but when I need a coffee fix, I drive just a bit further for the quality and service. So definitely worth it. It’s a such a unique and delightful place! I enjoy the one-of-a-kind coffees and drinks at Wild Roast. My favorite is the Oreo Speedwagon. The staff is super friendly and it’s always clean. I highly recommend!!!

The coolest, cutest coffee shop around! Friendly staff, delicious coffee and treats, and the BEST part (for me at least 😊is the spot designated for kids to play while Mom drinks her coffee! Its the only place I can meet a friend for coffee with my kiddos and actually have a conversation! 😊 We love Wild Roast!!! Such a wonderful asset to Bluff Park!

Wild Roast is located in Bluff Park. Formally the location was called Moonlight on the mountain. Since it was later in the afternoon we opted for the decaf coffee. (I always get the decaf if Im trying a new place because if the decaf is good everything else is also.Happily the decaf was excellent. It was smooth and reminded me of a mocha flavored coffee but not that strong a mocha flavor. We had the turtle cookie and looked around will we waited. The staff are very friendly and spend a little time with each customer chatting. If I could give it 10 stars I would. A little bonus if you are there at sunset you get an awesome view. I recommend you check it out and come back with your friends. Hope to see you there.

Such nice servers, you truly feel like you are among friends here. Wonderful drink and food options as well. Added bonus of getting treats from The Joyful Food Co. here perfect for my daughter with celiac disease. Ongoing puzzle to work in and beautiful local art!! A neighborhood gem!!

Such a unique place! I went here for the first time today and I hope to be a regular soon as a constantly studying grad student. They have a variety of food and drink options. I am pleasantly surprised that they have more than just pastries! I enjoyed the pimento cheese and crackers (and cookie of course). They are incredibly friendly as well.

Wild Roast is great! Love having a local coffee shop now. The coffee itself is good, nice and strong. Theres always a 2,000 pc. puzzle to work on. The service isnt blazing fast, but thats not why I come here. Plus, theyve just opened, so everybodys learning how to run/work at the place; I expect itll get more efficient as time goes by. I especially love the kids toys/area, means my wife and I can come more often 😁. We love it!

This is a great local coffee hangout! A variety of seating, a play area for kids, good music, creative drinks and pastry options. The staff is friendly, the owners are wonderful, And the coffee is good too.
