Still great after so many years! Treated us very well even though understaffed. We were understanding and they made it up to us with great service! Love the attitude atmosphere and the sushi!

Waiter was slow and only returned to refill drinks every 20 minutes. We were seated for an hour and a half before the cook came out. And when the main course was finally served, the steak was extremely chewy. Just go to SHOGUNS for hibachi.

I have been craving sushi and some Japanese style meals. And today wasn’t it for me. I got the shrimp tempura with NO dippin Sauce. I had asked do sauces come with the meal...they stated just soy sauce. My sushi did not look appetizing at all. The fried rice was good. My soup and salad needed something else to it. I just wished that I could have dined in to tell them about my food and see how they could fix it. Not sure if I would give them a second try, I live in California but visit a lot here and this was alittle disappointing for me.

Service and food was great. In laws took my husband and I here for our birthday. The hibachi chef was not only friendly but made all of us laugh, which is one thing I had missed. Will definitely be coming back for our anniversary next month!

Great food!! Sake was nice and hot too. The server seemed completely freaked out by the fact that I had a cough, even though I patiently explained to her that I had been on antibiotics for the full 10 days, so I was clearly not at all contagious. Aside from that, it was a pleasant lunch. We had the hibachi lunch (but we sat at a table because we didnt feel like watching the whole show), and the fried rice there is delicious, though I feel like it could use a little more egg and veggies.

All the rolls tasted like actual garbage. Like they were sitting in the trash. The bathrooms are super gross, there was a thick amount of dust covering all of it. That makes me think the kitchen is the same way. Nothing was clean. Waiter was nice though!

As good as I remembered. Had an exquisite Kani mango salad. I really wanted to complain -too much mango, not enough crunch; and then the mango came and every bite had a pleasant surprise: Crunchy, then laden with crab, then mango... delicious.A reprise of flavor, texture combinations to satisfy the taste.Plus Kayla was an extraordinary server. Highly recommend you visit soon.

My husband and I ordered an exit 105 roll, tuna special roll, spicy salmon roll, green salad, gyoza (dumplings), & the haru maki (spring rolls). Everything was great except the sauce that came with the spring rolls. We wouldve both rather had a traditional sweet and sour sauce. I also wish theyd offer fresh ginger, rather than pickled ginger with the sushi.Overall a great experience!

It was just "ok" to me. Service was kind of slow the night I went. Food quality was good but I have been to the other restaurants/hibachi grills in the Houston area and the others had better cooks/entertainers and better food. The restaurant was decorated very nice and the staff was friendly.

I’ve eaten sushi all over but this place is amazing. Sushi portions are HUGE which was such a nice surprise. Best value. My wife and I were completely satisfied with not only the food but the service as well. The entire staff was awesome. This will be our regular sushi place from now on.

We ordered the dinner menu from the hibachi. They cooked it in back I was disappointed. . The rice was luke warm. We ordered the new york strip and chicken and ask some chicken be added to freid rice. There was three tiny pieces of chicken on top of the rice and charged 5 dollars for that. Was dissatisfied.

Ordered some food to go and for one meal it was $28 and it was garbage. I ordered the hibachi chicken and filet. The salad is old wilted lettace with nothing else (no tomatoes, carrots etc). The chicken is rubbery and chewy. The steak is fine but it was cut in very large chunks and I would rather have smaller pieces. The sauces were weird tasting and not what is usually served with hibachi. The soup and fried rice were also mediocre, nothing special. I eat at hibachi restaurants often and this was just disappointing. For this kind of money I would expect it to be a very good quality meal and it just wasnt.

Called ahead, the hostess said there was no wait. Walked in at 7:05, sat immediately. Only two cooks on tables and was still not beginning at our table of 3 until 8:15. Great server, although he seemed to be spread thin. Cook was great as well as food. Management and staffing may be inadequate.

Got here at 6:15 waited about 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Finally got seated and around 8 the chef came to the grill. Apparently upper management doesn’t listen to the needs of his staff and they are under staffed. The floor manager was trying to help, but it was aggravating to sit there 2 hours waiting for your tables turn to eat. The waiter wasn’t very attentive we had to get our own drinks and needed silverware but that was probably because they were under staffed and really not his fault. The staff was running around like crazy trying to keep up. Apparently, upper management needs to listen to his floor managers about the staffing and loss of employees and maybe customers wouldn’t be so aggravated and walk out. Once the chef got to our table the food and entertainment was good.

Disgusting! Food and trash on the floor. Saw servers using bare hands to put food on plates. Manager drinking alcohol. Sushi chef was not only rude to me and my wife, he was really rude to the servers. Shrimp was not listed on the dish i ordered but came on my plate. Asked the server to remake because Im allergic and the food returned to me one minute later. They just took it off the plate. Apparently my life is not important to them. Asked to have it remade again and caught attitude instead. Asked to talk to management but was told she was busy. Needless to say we just left.

The best word to describe is DIRTY. We were the only hibachi table at 5:45pm. Took about 30 minutes for another party to arrive. The floor could use a good vacuum and mopping. Maybe its just dust from nobody being there. Or better yet, the lunch crowd was too busy staff didnt have time to clean. Wife wondered if we should leave as empty restaurant is usually a strong indicator something is up. Food was average quality. Nothing fantastic. First time going in over a year and will be the last. The only positive was the server was nice and attentive. The hibachi chef did his normal routine.

A nice restaurant with some interesting parts. We were there for Hibachi, it was good. The chef did more tricks than any other Hibachi restaurant Ive been to. That being said, the best thing food wise from this evening were the rolls I ordered, i was pleasantly surprised. If youre curious to try Hibachi this place wont let you down in representing what that stands for.

The food didnt have any flavor at all! The best tasting thing in my meal was the salad dressing now thats really good but needs to be thicker. Its like water. My bill was 51$ just for myself, one person! I didnt order any mixed drinks or anything extra like that! I could not believe it when I saw my total! I about fell out right there in the middle of the restaurant! Save your hard earned money for a much better meal that actually has flavor!

When I first started going to Wild Ginger, the Sushi Chef knew us by name and the sushi was superb. This lasted about 4-5 months. Now you can not pay me to go there. They tried serving warm sushi and the color was off too. Requested a new order, and it was worse. We paid for our drinks and left. We tried again a week later with the Hibachi and some sushi, I got sick, complained to no satisfaction. Won’t go there ever again or recommend

The parking and wait were excellent. The table needed some attention. There was clearly some spots where the finish had worn bare. The service was absolutely excellent and quick. The crab rangoons are some of the best Ive ever had. Unfortunately some if the shrimp tempura in my sushi was not peeled properly and three pieces had a good bit of tail left on them. All in all it was good and I will give it another try.

Reasonable price if you catch them during happy hr. They have a few decent draft beers and the sushi taste reasonably fresh.Hibachi was average. Even with a lively crowd the chef didnt pull much tricks but the food was good.

The food was decent. There is not a wide variety of food options. I do highly recommend the fried rice. Our fried porkchop and chicken was fried to a crisp. Ive been here a few times through out the years and unfortunately Ive never had good service. This time we ate dine in vs hibachi (the chefs for hibachi are always great!Dont think we will be going back anytime soon.

We had heard great things about this restaurant. So disappointed, not only the wait staff (who handed our drinks & soup to us with her fingers holding the top of glass/bowl). Reservation for 7pm- it was 7:45 when we asked them to please take our order. Habachi cook did not appear to know what he was doing & completely left off 2 orders when cooking meats. So will not be going back even with discount they applied to our meal. They of course got their 18% gratuity . Bathrooms smelled like sewer was leaking or something! Nope not again!

Not our usual experience, went for lunch on a Sunday and the chef seemed to be in a rush. Vegetables werent cooked much and the rice wasnt seasoned well. My wife had lobster and said it was great. I had steak and it was good. Might be a while before we go back.

My first visit to this location was for my 30th birthday party with my family! While our table was attended to nicely, I noticed some of the other tables werent and it was very slow. My group thoroughly enjoyed the show our hibachi chef put on and the food was delicious! Due to the high prices though, I will only visit again for a very special occasion.

Very beautiful, modern decor inside, you instantly feel like you are in an upscale place. Everything weve ordered was amazing. However we did order our lobster roll without jalapeno peppers and it came with it , so we had to pick them out ourselves. Also it did surprise us that they charge for extra sauce that you order on a side, like spicy mao... I never seen that before in any Asian place. Our waitress was polite. Overall great place to eat out...$$$

My server Julian was awesome and I had a great time dining during the happy hour specials at the sushi bar! I had the spicy edamame, seaweed salad and the tuna tower, all very good.. the happy hour deals arent very much of a discount so its not something I would come in just for. He recommended the Sushi Pizza, I wish I would ordered it too, but my stomach has limited capacity, LOL. ...so Im going to have to come back and get it next time. This place has a great ambience and is very nicely decorated.

Very disappointed! Went last night for date night with my husband and was not pleased. Our waiter showed up at the table and proceeded to tell us they he was behind because someone had been fired that morning, another waiter was in an accident on the way to work, and he had 25 little girls in for a birthday party. He then proceeded to not give us time for the wine menu, then immediately wanted our order and we hadnt had a chance to look at the menu. His response to everything that we asked for was "Roger that". Got our food, but was not impressed. Shrimp tempura made me feel like I was at a county fair. No flavor and couldnt even tell what veggies were on the plate so we stopped eating it. Cowboy meat was tough and well done with no flavor. Shaggy dog was not terrible, but was my least favorite of any I have ever had and this is a regular for me. Red lobster was the best roll we ordered. Unfortunately it came to the table significantly later than the first two so we were already full by the time it got there. We asked for a box and our waiters response was " well I hope you have a dog at home because you wont want to eat this tomorrow. That (cowboywont heat well and the others (shaggy dog and red lobsterwill taste bad." Weve had Hibachi and Sushi here in the past and this was an extreme let down! Havent decided if we will go back, but if it had been our first time there we definitely would never go back.

Dont bother going for dinner. They add a tip to your bill for groups of only 6 or more even if 4 of your group are kids so watch out for that. The menu was very incomplete and our server was uninformative. The lunch is great though. We have been there several times for lunch so we expected a better experience than we had.

We have come here several times and the food is always good but there is no such thing as speedy service. But buyer beware last time we went there husband ordered a various sashimi platter. He requested certain types of fish. We ended up with a hundred dollar bill cause the waitress failed to tell us he couldnt specify what type of fish therefore we were recharged for each piece of fish instead of the platter cost. Very disappointed, didnt think wed never go back but the food is good.

We love the sushi and go at least once a week for happy hour. I have never had a bad experience with the staff. The manager even wrote down the place they buy their kegs for us because we have a kegerator at home and had to drive into Houston to buy them before. We are coming today to watch the game and drink $2 draft beers at happy hour. Cant beat the 2-5 happy hour prices.

I was really excited to try this place for a few months. The menu looks amazing, and the actual restaurant is really pretty inside. My family and I decided to go there for an early Sunday dinner today. Such a bummer! The lady that sat us didnt even acknowledge us. Not a hello, no eye contact, nothing. She just walked to a table dropped off menus without even making sure we were following her. Never turned around. Sat for 10 minutes and nobody came to our table. It was not busy, there were only a handful of tables. There were servers just standing around- at least 4 of them. We just left, and to be honest nobody seemed to really care.

Sushi was great! Service.... not so much, we had a party of 5, and it took over 30 minutes to get a glass of wine, and an hour and 20 minutes to get our food, there where only maybe 10 other people in the restaurant at the time... we where about to ask for the check for the drinks and go to another establishment, but our food came out, and although it was a ridiculously long wait, the food was very good.

I wish I did not have to give any stars. My wife and I went there for the first time and we were wanting to try the place out we normally goto Asian city in Humble or sho-guns in Conroe. I love hibachi eating and I went 2-17-17 around 5:30 and this is the most disgusting hibachi cooking I have ever been to the grille was filthy and old moist grease on it the vent hood had old grease dryer up and the light switch on the hood had the filthy dryed up grease from were it had not been wipes properly. The floor were the hibachi cooks cook at was so discusting. Im in front of the staff area and u have one of the waiters rubbing on a fresh tattoo on a womens arm then he gets a drink for a customer I have video and pictures of all this that I am saying I would never recommend this place to anyone.

amazing place for a funny dinner with friends!I had never been to a Hibachi grill and it has been memorable! its a dinner with show, the waiter dont just cook in front of you but he entertains you with jokes and amazing tricks with the cooking tools.I wouldnt go for a romantic dinner, if you are not enough to fill the hibachi table they would put someone else on the remaining seats.they also have a regular restaurant but I didnt try it.

I loved this place when it first opened but the last two times Ive eaten here the food has not been good. This past Saturday I took my mom thinking the other time was a bad day possible and not going to be a trend. My mom almost threw up in their restroom because of her food. Most of our food wasnt touched. Im not one to complain to a server when its clear he was awesome but the food was horrible. The sushi not fresh and you could tell. My Philadelphia rolls had tempura and loaded with spicy mayo inside it and celery (never had that happen beforeand it didnt line up with what the menu said would be in the two rolls I got on the lunch special. I literally had one piece of each roll, covered my plate with a napkin, and slid to edge of table for pickup. It was so bad Id be surprised if no one got sick that day. My mom had the bento box and most of her food was bad too. Last chance so I will not be going there again. Once you bite into old raw sushi you just dont come back from that.

Used to be awesome, now not so much. Sushi rolls didnt taste fresh. Hibachi chicken and shrimp taste dry and tough like leftovers. Not many customers for a Saturday evening, no glasses, so had use stryro cups. Waitress was good! 😊 Place just not the same, kinda dingy. Wonder if business was sold?? Odd!
