Wild Clover Farm, 304, Stellenbosch, South Africa, Noorder-Paarl
Wild Clover Restaurant - Restaurant in Noorder-Paarl, South Africa
Beautiful place to rest and recharge.
Very peacefull settng
Neat and clean good service will surely stay there again
Lost some character but still good for a quick bite and a drink
Upon arrival we could not locate the reception to check in. After making phonecalls finally got through to someone to meet us and give us the keys. Online photos are old and misleading as interior has deteriorated leaving mould around shower and kitchen areas. Worms everywhere and even found a tarantula in the shower. Security didnt feel that tight as no locked gate at night.. just a man and his dog patrolling at night. Beds not very comfortable, towels old and drab and floor was dusty and unclean. The interior could really do with an upgrade and new bathroom suite. WiFi was very patchy it hardly worked. The only plus side was being able to watch the animals in the field, the giraffes especially.
Not prepared at all for large crowds. Almost a full 2 hours waiting for food on mothers day. Tables was full of dirt the entire time. Not very nice experience.
Peacefull. The animals are great!
Stunning place! Beautiful views and has a brewery on the premises!
Great venue and pleasant family surrounds, but the kitchen was very slow. Nearly an hour and a half for a burger and the chips were cold. No thanks...
Awesome place for adults and kids. Food great and well priced. Like the different beers too
The facilities are not suitable for a hot day. We would have been better off under the trees.Quiche ---- horriblePulled pork ---- not well balancedChicken Scnitzel ----- great dish.
Lovely and lively. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is family orientated, casual and fun. Great place to spend the day.
1st time there. Beautiful playroom. Good food. Good music. Lovely atmosphere.
Food and drinks was great! Waiters a bit slow due to wild clover being busy. Overall good experience.
Like the venue. Nice place for the kids to play.
Very disappointing, we booked the cottage a month ago, and no one told us that the restaurant is totally closed, eventhough Ive even sent an email asking about it. If not because of the restaurant, the farm is not for kids at all. Not feeling welcomed. Awful gas stove, and the maids knocked at our door for cleaning 9:00 am unexpectedly. Cannot compete to any farm weve visited in SA so far.
1st visit stopped there for breakfast this AM whilst on our bike RIDE. Friendly staff food service good enjoyed lovely morning. The area at the back where the craft beer is modern and worth a try.
Flew some FPV, watched some 3d helis (Some good pilots in CPT), tested the bru, had lunch.
Beauitful place, i would have given it 5 stars, but during my stay there was no electricity, i had to have a cold shower and there was no way to charge my phone to contact someone (not a good feeling for a women staying over alone). I still had to pay full price, with nothing more than "well its out of our control" ...that was very disappointing.
Great pizza and nice Sunday chill spot. Kitchen is far too small to cope with the number of pizzas for tables however.
Restaurant service is extremely slow. Setting is good for kids.
Nice and very relaxing place to be with family and friends...
Great social place but restaurant sucks and I rated it low for that if it hadnt been for the quality food at the pub and the all the things you can do to have fun it wouldve been rated 1 star by meFix this wild clover make the restaurant nice and to not have live performances to be loud we are right next to themThe food is horrid and the cover you provide is inadequate. Fix please
The service was truly abysmal. I had to ask FOUR different waiters to take my irder for coffee and a cool drink for my child and it took more than an hour to eventually get it!
There were a few things i could mention which made our stay not so good:The cottage were cracked in several places with the paint coming off. After a 2min shower that night, there were no hot water for my wife. The next morning the water pressure was so low that you had to wait a few min to wash your face. The braai outside needs att. The road to the cottages was a dirt road and after arriving we have to go and look for reception which was not marked properly. I kwow there is a water shortage in Cape Town, but the price we paid were not a reflection of what we got!
Selection of menu limited. Staff very friendly and hrlpful.
Good vibe, live music on some days, beer tasting and tastes good, big TVs for sports and good food menu (snacks to small burgers).
Great beer, great burgers, great ambiance
This is a lovely place for kids. Great play area and safe. The kitchen opens at 12:00 and they serve pizza and burgers. The Wild Clover Brewery is situated behind the restaurant and their beers are superb. The restaurant used to sell their beer, but yesterday didnt have any. We had to go buy the beer at the brewery and take it back to the restaurant. We would have stayed at the brewery but the kids wanted to play. I would give the restaurant 5 stars if they start selling the beer again 😉
Toddler friendly. Margerita pizza tasty.
Great place, nice beer!
Beer tasting outside on the veranda followed by a wonderful burger. A most enjoyable experience in a refreshing breeze. The Double Owl Ale is an exceptional beer.
Awesome service by the Floor Manager! She immediately saw our pizza was not up to standard. Replaced the pizza and gave us a free round of drinks. Rarely happens at restaurants nowadays. Well done!
Friendly waiters, great burgers, lovely for kids
Not even worth rating. Plastic plates and cold food. Not existing service!! Small milkshakes are charged @ R45 .....Overall Discusting to say the least.
Great place when you have small kids.... Lots to keep them busy while you sample the craft beers
Excellent service and great beer
I took my father to his favourite place for Fathers Day. It was an appalling experience. Service was poor and then after we got our drinks and made our order you could not find a waiter. When food eventually arrived it was cold for 3 of the 4 of us. I struggled to find a waiter for another round of drinks. To top off the experience, we tried ordering wine, each wine we pointed at they had run out of. Later we tried brandy, that was out too. My family for some reason are willing to tolerate the consistently poor service but I will not go there by choice. I never have a good experience occasionally they are barely competent. This 1 star is even too much.
For birthday Party for kids this is the best place that you can get.Loads to do and excellent Service.Great food. But most of all the Venue caters for kids , your little ones will be kept busy with the Jumping Castle , Jungle Gym and lots more. They have good deals and all your needs can be met in detail.
Nice relaxed and family-friendly venue with high chairs and a changing area. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Service was slow (more because they are so busybut friendly and knowledgeable. Live music good but a little loud for our table.
Made a booking with them and they gave us a nice place to go sit where the music wasnt too loud and there was a big canopy that kept us cool in the hot sun. Service was very good also.Only problem was the flies that kept bothering us while we ate but overall a nice experience.
I went to Wild Clover 3 times hoping thing will improve, but in fact, it just got worse. The service is absolutely SHOCKING and despite complaining on previous occasions, there has been no improvements whatsoever. The last time I went, while enjoying a glass of wine, myself and fellow diners had to listen to a pig screaming at the top of its lungs (it literally sounded like it was about to get killedfor 5 minutes and we had to witness how this pig got loaded in the back of a cars boot. It was 33 degrees that particular day. After discussing this with the "new" owners, I was given an apology. An apology simply doesnt cut it. It was animal cruelty. Why did the owner allow this pig to be transported in this inhumane manner - Im sorry, but if you cannot show respect towards animals and you cannot give good service - I refuse to support you. I will never go to Wild Clover ever again. Disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Lovely setting with the worst service in the winelands. Waited hours for our food and for our waiter who struggled to get our order right every single time. Its such a great venue with so much potential that leaves you disappointed because of untrained staff and poor time management from the kitchen. Dont think we will visit again.
Not good at all. Old potatoes on top of French toast was a disater at R57.00. Sounds good on menu but look and taste like nothing.
First time I went I waited for AGES before they finally told me the coffee machine isnt working. We also werent served until I actually got up to fetch a waiter. So the second time I figured Ill give it a second chance, but I again waited 10min for a waiter to notice me (sitting within 5m of them in plain sight). Then 25 MINUTES for a COFFEE!! I didnt wait around to see if it would arrive...
Try their local brewery beers. Kiddie friendly!
Amazing beer and an great time.
Best Kids friendly venue in the Stellenbosh area. Outdoor enclosed play area, newly upgraded. Jumping castle etc. Value for money basic food. Wild Clover craft beer goes down well.
Very welcoming owner and nothing is too much trouble. Nice menu selection. Pizza and steak a win. See you soon for the craft market.
Nice venue, but I dont like their Craft beer that much (personal taste)
