Wild Bill's Legendary Saloon in Banff

Being on the 2nd floor we had a unique vantage point for people watching on the street below and to look up at the mountain above. We did the Buttermilk Fried Pickles and the crispy pork rinds for apps. Both were good though the Rinds had a very light flavor. Had the nicely done, hefty Elk burger for main meal. The side of soup was good and the salad was excellent with a nice flavor and combination of ingredients. Enjoyed the visit.

We had our ski ⛷️ trip party 🎉 at Wild BillsHad rib eye steak, garlic mash potato and brown beans😋 All were excellent and the steak was a great piece of meat. We took advantage of their special on shots, danced to a live band with a great sax player and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 😃 Recommended for a group party. We had 20+ people 👍

Friendly staff, lots of space, reasonable prices.

Had a decent time. Not usually one for bars, but the space is very big and has a number of areas for all kinds of entertainment. The band playing on the night was a lot of fun too.

Was there last Friday with a group of 6 and after 20 minutes of nobody taking any drink orders we left with several other tables to follow. Server complained she had to take orders, fix them and deliver them and basically no time for us. Sounds like a bad manager to me so, dont waste your time here much better places to go in Banff!Highly recommend Park Distillery as an alternate to this place.

Food was great. Thanks for using high quality lettuce and tomato on the burger. Fries and burgers well seasoned without being overly salty.Only reason for 4 stars was the music was way too loud, even for my taste.

Very unique restaurant in a great location. Decor is incredible! We started off with a local brew and some deep fried pickles. They came out very quickly, maybe a little too quick... the pickles were still very cold inside and warm on the outside, like they sat under the heat lamp for 5 minutes. On to the main course!!! I had the Cowpuncher Platter: brisket, ribs, pulled pork and a sausage with fries and cornbread. My wife had the pulled pork. Food was a good temperature and tasted amazing! One of the better cornbread muffins Ive had. Ths coleslaw was really good. Not much action there as it was late lunch but Id imagine its swinging in the evenings with live bands, slot machines, pool tables and stuff.

Went on a Friday night with my boyfriend and we had an amazing time there! The music they were playing was perfect and I almost wanted to ask for the playlist!! Our server Scott was one of the best servers we come across in a long time. He was very knowledgable about the menu and we asked him to surprise with two beers and the ones he gave us were great! 10/10 will be coming back here and recommending it to people for a must stop place when youre in Banff.

AW, MAN. THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME. Drew, my server at Chucks Steakhouse, suggested I check out this place while I was in town and I was NOT disappointed. I got myself on the karaoke list pretty early on, and once I finished my rock star moment, I rode the mechanical bull. LOADS of fun, cool people, a great vibe, and cheap beverages.International crowd, so getting to meet folks from all over the world while being a big ol tourist was awesome. Loved my night at Wild Bills.

Me and my boyfriend came here for our first meal when we arrived in Banff and wow. Best food weve had. Both meals . Staff was amazing and was a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend

Holy! If youre in the mood for some awesome BBQ this is the place to go. The server was SO friendly, I wish I would have got her name to include in this review. Food was amazing. My boyfriend and I split the "Cowpuncher", wish there was a Wild Bills in Edmonton, we are already talking about going back haha. Thanks for the awesome food and service.

Music and atmosphere was great. I do wish the hostess told us that the wrap up for Melissa runways there that night so the likelihood of us getting a table was nil, and instead she let us wait at the bar 45 mins, and then we asked again how long and she said oh only another 30 mins...Uhm nope...thanks for lying tho. We will try again another time we come through Banff though.

Super nice bartender. My husband got the steak, mashed potatoes and veggies and all of it was great. The serving of mashed potatoes was huge. Steak was cooked perfectly. Veggies were cooked well and seasoned nicely.

Nice authentic historic saloon feel to it. Server was extremely nice and very diligent. The elk burgers were cokked nicely and the ginger beer had a great kick to it. Fries and sweet potato fries were good as well.

The food is way to expensive for what you get. We ordered BBQ wings and got hot wings. The Server was very very unfriednly. Defently wont see us again.Two stars because live music was good.

Elk burger was fantastic, service was far fetched...... I just wished I had discovered the deep fried pubic (maybe beardhair before I finished the meal. It was hiding underneath one of the last fries! They took it off the bill, thankfully..... Took a hour to make the burger. So dont eat there if youre in a rush

We were visiting from BC during long weekend. There is a $5 entrance fee. Long wait and no courtesy from the waitress. We had our glasses of water after 25-30 min. The quality of food is average and the music was good.

Cool place to have some wings and a beer. I had the Nashville style hot wings and a side of fries. We hung out on a Sunday evening and had a good time playing a game called Singo. Staff was also very friendly.

Yes yes yes! Yummy and service was spectacular. I had the elk burger and it was so tasty. The side salad that came with it was fresh and crisp. I recommend sitting on the patio area to take in the view. That is if the weather will allow. Luckiley for us it did!

Huge bar with awesome atmosphere and a sweet little back sports bar tucked in there too. Bartender Jess is an absolute rock star! Genuine person, super friendly and an overall absolute BEAUTY of a human! worth the price of admission. Came in solo left with a friend. thanks wild Bills and Jess!

Great place to eat local food and listen to local music, weekends are fun with live bands starting from 10pm. Food was great you should try the Bison burger.

Excellent food, great service!!!! Nice atmosphere. Only thing there washrooms were out of order which Im sure are fixed by now. Enjoyed our visit for lunch!!!!

Waited for the waitress for quite some time. The food was subpar. Just too bad because the building itself is really neat and they have a large bar and slot machines. We really liked the atmosphere but it just didnt cut it where it counts.

They were very quick to bring out my elk burger, and it was tasty. Good prices, scenic views. Friendly service. House salad and red wine tasted good.

Came here for Christmas party after dinner (10+ people). We had a reserved section. Live band was good! Service was excellent. I arrived a little later than the rest of the party the waiter asked me what i wanted to drink within minutes of sitting down and was in top of keeping the drink full. Completely recomend this place.

Fun spot in Banff. People of all ages but mostly younger crowd late into the night as it has a pretty large dance floor. Bar service was very good. Usually has a live band on the weekend. Worth checking out

Neat spot above downtown Banff! A place we have always wanted to try, and since we were finally there solo without the kids, now was our chance! If youre lucky enough to get a table near the windows, its the perfect spot to watch the foot traffic below while you wait.Our server was friendly and made conversation. Our meals came fairly quick and were great. Drinks were perfect. Will return again next time we get the chance.

Did not try any food but we went on a Tuesday night thinking it would just be a casual night out but it was a blast!! They have karaoke some nights, a shuffle board table, a pool table and a mechanical bull as well. First night experience in Banff was awesome.

Food was fine after it finally arrived but we were told thirty minutes into our wait that the kitchen had messed up and our food would be delayed. After a 45 minute wait it finally arrived. At 8:30 we were pretty hungry. The whole time our nice English waiter avoided our table, never offer more drinks, water or perhaps some dinner rolls, let alone comp a drink or appetizer. Others who came in after us had their food. With so many other restaurants available, I won’t go back.

Beer battered fries are great. The whole menu is great, but we go specificially for the fries. Sadly the poutine is not made with curds, but we pick some up at the iga and get the fries with gravy o make our own. Do it, you wont regret it.The views are great, drinks and food are great and service is always great.

Took forever once we were seated to get any service and once we finally got a menu, service was spotty. Food was okay but for price point, wouldnt go back. Great views of the street for people watching.

Pretty good food. The servers have to work really hard to get your food to you. The layout is funky. The western theme is fun and the food meets expectation.

This was a great venu for the concert that my fiance and I attended and thats what earned it the three stars. The service was really bad though, our waitress would leave us sitting at the table with empty glasses for long periods of time and multiple times when we decided to get our own drinks fron the bartender she would come over and ask the other person if wed like to order anything from her. Also at one point when my fiancee went up to get just a water the bartender pretty much shamed her into ordering another beer which I thought was unprofessional. Might come back for a concert but unlikely to go otherwise.

Really nice staff, good atmosphere and decent, reasonably priced food. Eaten here a number of times over the years and never been disappointed. The staff are always really friendly and give excellent service, plus you are never rushed out (unlike other places in Banffand the food is pretty good.

We were lucky enough to get a seat outside overlooking the main Street. Food was good, service was fast and staff were friendly. Great little atmosphere

Decent atmosphere but they attitude of the waitresss/barmaid service sucks. They are like “what do you want hurry up and order” They didn’t have ingredients for an old fashion or anything “that special” and the fruit flies buzzing around my drinks Caused me not to order food.

Went on a Tuesday night. There was a mechanical bull and karaoke. There was like a 30-40 minute wait for the karaoke, people were awesome singers. The mechanical bull was really good!! They definitely start slow and then speed up, which makes it more fun :)Quite busy on a Tuesday night! Bartenders were awesome!

The bar and music were nice, but food was disappointing... the "4 cheese artichoke dip" barely had cheese and tasted a lot more like sour cream...

Nice place. Possibly the best chips/fries Ive ever had but the chicken club and bison burger were very average. There are other good options though so Id like to think Id go back.

Stopped in for lunch during the week and it wasnt busy but from what I am told it gets fun here at night. I had the chili which was awesome and my boyfriend had the Elk burger and really liked it. Quality of their food was great! Our server was a cool guy and we will definitely be back next time we are in Banff.

Good variety of foods and drinks for affordable prices. There are bands playing weekly here, so its a pretty active place.

Great food and great waiter! The atmosphere was relaxing and not hectic which was nice. I was a little bummed at how little food they give you, but it was good food in the end. Would recommend in the plethora of options in this town.

Great food with lots of local fare options! Staff was friendly and helpful but seemed limited in what they were allowed to offer. A live event later that night (like HOURS laterprevented them from being able to seat half of their venue. They could have used it for some of that time... So we waited in the adjacent bar where we were repeatedly told servers wouldnt help us. Really, just one barmaid to bring drinks and not food to tables would have gained them way more revenue! Especially from hikers & skiiers who are too tired to walk over and stand in line at the bar counter.

First night in Banff and after a long flight from the UK we wanted a good meal and a drink or two. We felt welcomed and had a great level of service. Food was well presented and tasted great. Banff is expensive but here it was very reasonable.

We went on a Sunday night for dinner, so it wasnt too busy. Our server was excellent. We had the elk burger with fries, and the pulled pork sandwich with roasted potatoes and it was all delicious!
