I think it’s a little overrated. Or did we set our expectations too high? We dined at this restaurant on a Saturday night. Be aware that the menu changes every day. Some of the dishes that we found online were not available when dined in.The venue is great with a terrific Balluta view though.The staff is very friendly and helpful. The service is great. Char grilled Irish beef fillet 🥩 was missing a flavor and it had a chewy hard part in it. Chicken supreme stuffed with pancetta was good but not extraordinary. I was very disappointed about the starter. We ordered Warm aubergines & mozzarella roulade. Aubergines were very hard. They should have been tender and juicy. I would visit this restaurant again to try some other dishes as I still want to give them a second chance.

A triumph of a restaurant, where the quality of ingredients comes first, shortly ahead of the quality of service. Portions are perfectly sized and the manager and staff are a delight. Vegans need not apply! This is a meat-lovers place, where the meat is paraded in front of your table like the star of the show that it is.We can also recommend the prawn & chorizo risotto as a main. Make sure you book in advance, if youre lucky, youll get a table looking over the seafront (and the swimming pool).

Wide range of daily special menu for you to choose from. Great cooking and fantastic taste. Ordered foei Gras and Veal rack, great taste that hits my tongue like a bomb! Friendly staff and good service as well.

Been again to Wigi’s and it still does not disappoint!The service is a good as ever with all the team being attentive.We had steaks which were cooked perfectly! It’s really hard to beat this establishment!I look forward to our next visit!!

Reservations are recommended. We didn’t have any but showed up at the beginning of the night and they were able to accommodate a table for two. However, every walk in after us was turned away due to being booked. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I would definitely return here and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice dining experience.

Probably one of of the worst restaurant in malta, from breakfast to dinner, unless having your breakfast and dinner with draught beers this is far from what is usually called feeding. I can recommend if no other choice available to you for a beer drink but I wouldnt order anything else than crisp.

This restaurant deserves its own section in the Michelin Guide, it is exceptional. Nice sized menu, approx 7/8 options per course. Off menu meat options presented at your table before you order. Food itself was beautifully cooked. My steak was medium rare, spot on. The atmosphere is lovely, 12 or so tables looking over the harbour. But most importantly the service was 5 star. Each staff member ensured we were never wanting for anything. Careful consideration was taken on presentation, ensuring drinks were full, table was clean. I made a particular obscure drinks order and it was no trouble. The service was some of the best I have ever seen, and the staff were so nice. I couldnt recommend this restaurant more highly. Its a truly special place

Last meal in my 20s and probably one of the best meals Ive ever had.The food was so good I kept thinking about it for weeks after haha!The meat is cooked to perfection and just melts in your mouth.The staff are so attentive and really enhanced our experience.They also catered for a vegetarian, making her something bespoke which she absolutely loved.

Friendly and efficient staff. Tidy and peaceful interior. Delicious food.I had meagre, and surprisingly there was quite a bit of it. It was very well made, with crunchy skin and tender meat.Calamari fritti were good too, and came with a kind of fish sauce.The negroni was simple, classic, and well prepared. There was a decent wine list, but I didnt have any.A detail that particularly impressed me is cushions on top in places where ceiling is low, so that people dont hurt themselves accidentally when getting up. There are only 4 such seats, but I thought it was a nice detail that reflects their concern for our experience.

Beautiful location for this family owned restaurant. Just on the seafront with fantastic views we had an excellent dinner here. Highly recommended!

Really nice food, lovely views, delicious wine, Friendly staff. Got a table at short notice on a busy night which we were lucky to get and they moved us to a window table with a better view. Few power cuts throughout the dinner but handled very well! Top marks

A very pleasant restaurant. The meals were underwhelming. Seafood was over-cooked with a plastic-like texture.Would give the food maximum 3 stars, as the presentation was really nice. (Maybe 2, though, if we take the price/quality ratio in consideration!)Staff is very polite and helpful, and there also is a nice view, so overall - 4 stars.

About 10 months ago a guest recommended this restaurant to me. She said they had eaten the best meat of their lives. Im a meat lover so I was curious. I tried to book earlier and it was full. I knew it had to be on a special occasion so I stopped at the opportunity...and didnt regret it. Super attentive staff from the moment of booking, amazing view, food grade 1000. I have absolutely no complaints, from the starter to the dessert. I highly recommend it and hope to come back in a future opportunity because I also heard that the fish is amazing.😁

One of the cleanest and with nice atmosphere restaurants in Malta. Very polite service and waitress gave attention to you as a client,good food,tasteful, little pricey but for that they offer you ,you can excuse them.. If you want to have a nice taste experience,must go!Book in advance always!!!

Lucky enough to get a reservation last minute at this spot and what a lucky break it was!! Food, atmosphere, amazing view and incredible staff! Everything from the appetizer to the wine was outstanding-don’t miss this place!!

The restaurant has a very simple style interior with nice sea view and friendly people. The menu was specifically made for the day and there were some extra fresh fish and cuts to choose from. The chicken was extremely soft and the apple crumble was something else, really delicious! 🤤

Believe all the amazing reviews!!! This is the best meal I’ve had during my stay in Malta and it should be recommended in the Michelin guide. Incredible food and the most amazing, attentive staff. I had three courses of scallops, duck breast and panna cotta with a glass of local red wine. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Absolutely couldn’t fault anything and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Malta. Book in advance if you can, it’s totally worth the experience!

This is one of the best steak Ive ever eaten!!!! Quaility and quantity were perfect. and desert is also great.I will go this restaurant again before I leave Malta.

Excellent food... Really good service and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful including a visit to our table with all the meat cuts and fish available for ordering that evening. The waiter even ran over to remind me to watch my head on the low ceiling wherw we were sitting as he saw me getting ready to leave.We had duck, Irish fillet steak and pumpkin soup, all of which were perfectly cooked and well presented. A very nice restaurant.

But that would not be fair to what we experienced tonight!!!I am a food lover, and tonight I had a "love affair" in wigis Kitchen!!!!From the first second there, till our goodbyes it was PERFECT!!!!!I would suggest you to trust the suggestions of the staff, they were all so passionate on what they are doing, from the wine till dessert a bliss!!!!!I really wonder if the chef knows the happiness he gives to his guests!!!!Thank you so much all for that AMAZING night in your restaurant!!!!We will see each other again, that is the only thing that I am sure of!!!!If you visit Malta, DONT lose that unique experience!!!!!

Food was absolutely delicious 😋 Compliments to the chef! We had the beef carpaccio, fois gras to start with then the veal and seabass, which came with veggies and roasted potatoes. Everything was super tasty but the beef carpaccio with the sauce, pickles and parmesan crisp flavour combination was outstanding. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this place! Book to avoid disappointment! Note: To enter the restaurant and the facilities you have to walk up a flight of steps with no lift, so if you need greater accessibility then it might be an issue.

The standard of food and more so the service is second to none. We have never in 12 years been the slightest bit disappointed with the quality and attentiveness of this culinary experience. You will not get better

Amazing family run restaurant with great food. Definitely up there as one of the nicest meals I had in Malta. Tuna steak was really well cooked and rib eye also looked incredible! Starters were top tier. A must during your stay in Malta!

Fantastic food and a really good selection of both eat and fish. I had the octopus starter, my partner, the calamari, both were excellent and very well balanced dishes. Mains, inwent for the rack of veal cooked very well with sautéed oyster mushrooms. My partner had the fillet steak, again cooked to perfection. Tirimsu for dessert again brilliant. Waiting staff were very friendly and attentive.will do back!

If youre looking for a restaurant that will not disappoint, Wigis is the place. Whether youre a meat, fish or vegetable lover - you will leave satisfied and with a smile on your face. Wigis has become my favourite restaurant in Malta. Discovered this place before going vegan but still equally in love. I always call in advance just in case, and the last few times either a hand written or printed menu with special vegan options has been given. Recently I visited with 6 people. Everyone was extremely happy with their fish & meat dishes, but one meat eater actually said that the vegan curry I had as a main was the best dish on the table. Besides the food, the service is equally fantastic. If youre thinking about going: stop thinking, just go.

A gastronomic experience that we wont forget in a long while. Had a 3 course dinner with my wife and daughter at Wigis Kitchen when on holiday in Malta. Every dish we had was amazing, the highest quality produce cooked to perfection. The best Ribeye steak Ive probably ever eaten and Im 51 and the son of a butcher!! Our waiter, Wes, was also a star. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of dining here during a spontaneous three day trip to Malta. It is located ditectly at St. Julians Bay and just a short walk from the Marriott. The food quality is exceptional and service very caring and friendly. While reading through the menu they will come by your table and present the various cuts of meat they have on offer, which made my decision easy. The whiskey glazed steak was mouth watering. I would recommend reserving a table as it can get quite busy.

Absolutely amazing food one of the best restaurants in St JuliansThe food is superb the menu has a good selection of fish and meat to choose from.The starters have a great selection and I had the salmon ravioli which was the fi est ravioli Ive tasted in years. I would highly recommend it.For my main I had an Irish beef fillet which was so tasty and cooked perfectly. Juicy and a huge piece of meatThe service was exquisite and I would recommend and return anytime

Excellent meal and easily the best restaurant in the area. We went the whole hog, aperitif, starters, wine, desert, etc. I got fish cakes to start, my gf got the lamb ravioli to start, we got the Chateaubriand (65 EURto share (came with two sauces), then a deconstructed canola and strawberry meringue. Great food excellent service but not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. High recommended if youre looking for great food in St Julians area.

Will find it tough to give Wigi a good rating if I were to consider the overall ambience of the restaurant which is typically simple, dull and uninspiring especially for the prices charged. So my rating is strictly for the quality of the food is wonderful. Especially like the starters of baked brie with artichokes and baked tart tartan with beef / onion,..absolutely delicious. They really nailed it. The mains of veal rack with seasonal veg (carrots/potatoes/parsnipswas quite sublime. Done to med raw, just like the way I would have roasted it myself. The red mullet fish pan fried with some veg was ..OK. Would have been better if its simply fried w/o sauce like the way its usually done in Greece. Still, when in Malta, do it the Maltese way!
