Really disappointed with our experience here. They were out of so many whiskeys in their taster sets that we had to reorder 3-4 times. Then it took over 20min to get our bill after asking multiple times.

Good selection poor presentation. Selective customer service. Overpriced for quality of the product served.There are better places in the area! Would not recommend 😕

Great bar and beautiful atmosphere. While you wait, youre served with flavored corn nuts and mixed nuts(thank you for this add). Enjoyed delicious drinks and the currywurst.

I am frankly disgusted by my experience here. While enjoying our drinks, members of our group were harassed by a group of belligerent old men who created a scene upon entry and used homopbobic slurs. When we raised this issue to the staff (who did in fact witness the entire thing and brushed it offthey noted that the member of the group who used the slur had left, and therefore they didnt need to remove the rest of their group, who continued to make uncouth jokes and vulgur comments, including that they knew they wouldnt be removed because of how much they were paying.Typically when I dine or enjoy a drink at a respectable establishment, there is an expectation that if customers are harassing others in the establishment, they are removed. The manager here clearly prioritizes profits over preserving the bars reputation.If youre interested in somewhere that enables homopbobic, repulsive clientielle then this is the place for you. Otherwise, we found lovely, inventive drinks elsewhere and I encourage you to do the same.

The stars are just for ambiance, service and live music by a lovely gentleman. The drinks deserve 1 star. It should be a crime to charge $25 for a negroni and not have large ice cubes to serve it. Whoever came up with the Dirac cocktail should go back to mixology school. Tastes like watery tequila with a splash of peach schnapps. No garnish. The bartenders were super nice and tried their best, but we didnt even feel like trying more cocktails. Been to some of the best cocktail bars in NYC, Paris, Madrid, Miami, Lisbon just to mention a few and this one was a disappointment.

Don’t use the booking link in Google Maps - after showing up on time and being told that the bar didn’t take reservations, we were asked to go to one of their restaurant, then to another one of their restaurant only to learn that the booking was for their garden bar that is now closed. Hopefully the 40CHF per person « no show » penalty will not be claimed on my card. We ended up going to a less hectic venue without any of that nonsense.

The gorilla checking you in is stunning impolite, to the point to lay hands on you. This bar will be accessible again when this guy finds another job.

Amazing cocktails: balanced and subtle but still a bit bold and inventive, which is hard to do.

Nice drinks. Service was terrible, we had to tell them twice that we are ready to order after sitting there and waiting for almost an hour.Also it was not possible to split up the bill. The server ( looks like Jake from twoandahalfmenasked us to do the math our selfs as he had no time or no knowledge of simple math. Such things are in the cheapest bars possible. Interestingly the server boys were just waiting behind the bar. Looks like more work has to be done here by the clients. This is unacceptable for a place like this. After asking why he cant do it for a bill of CHF 600 for drinks he said he has no time and this isnt the usual case. Such things damper the experience which should be a fun night.Typical example of the bad service culture in Switzerland. For a bar of a 5* Hotel this is absolutely catastrophic. 0 tip.

Nearby "Old Crow is MUCH better. While it was great to find an actual cocktail bar in Zurich which made unique drinks....most were very deserty or only used obscure ingredients that tasty nasty and definitely not worth the price.

With a large selection of wines and spirits, this is a perfect stop for a pre or post dinner cocktail. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it just for the cost atmosphere

Cozy cocktail bar, drinks were delicious! Extensive list for whiskey’s and large variety of beverages. Service was on point and light jazz piano player in the corner was a delight. Knocked one star for bites being overpriced, example $32 for a Caesar Salad with no protein.

This is truly a professional drinker’s bar run by professionals. Best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Na zdraví!

Pretentious and arrogant waiter. When asked to take a photo of our group he replied "i dont have time, im too busy plus i dont have a chair for her" pointing to one of the ladies in our group. We ate the complimentary nuts and left to another less pretentious place. Terrible experience

Beautiful ambiance and great drinks. The prices are high, but that is to be expected.

Their staff is very knowledgeable. We told our waitress what we liked and she helped guide us to the best cocktails for our specific taste. They offer a fantastic drink selection! Dog friendly.

Very cozy and lively. Staff is really warm and makes you feel at home. One of the best whisky collections I have ever seen. The host was kind enough to give great recommendations. A bit pricey but definitely worth a stop.

The location is simply unique. Cocktails are amazing and they have an incredible selection of spirits. The crowd is usually very pleasant. Food at the bar is nothing special.

All of their cocktails are amazing, at a price ranging from 20 to 25 chf (with some exceptions at... 900 chf). They bring you little side snacks, and the atmosphere is chill. We went there for the early evening of the 31st of December, and a jazz pianist was nailing it.

Who lives or lived a few years in Zürich has been at least a few times at the Widder Bar.Time seems to stop for a moment, while the piano man plays classics, wooden ceilings and comfy red leader sofas are inviting you to sit down and simply enjoy a drink or two.This is an old fashioned bar with all the charme that goes with, a must quite frankly when in town, for locals and tourists.The massive spirits selection has impressed more than one visitor. More than 1000 spirits are starring at you and wait gently to be selected - this includes the over 250 single malt whiskeys. You can also go for a cocktail from the menu or ask them to make your favorite.

Gobsmacked by amazing quality, variety, and sophistication of every dish. Book this place, and book it now. Ive traveled to 50 countries and eaten at many Michelin star restaurants from NYC to Tokyo. Book this place.

I love the presentation, details and creativity of every dish. Especially Kagoshima beef was amazingly tender and juicy, and I felt like I were back in Japan. All the wines the staff selected were amazing and to my taste. I was very sad when Ecco in Zurich was closed. I personally think the food presentation went better with the bright ambiance of Ecco at Atlantis but soooooo happy that we can enjoy the fine dining prepared by the same chef and staff again in Zurich after Atlantis was closed.

Premium cocktail menu with items that theyve exchanged with some top notch bartenders around the world. Fantastic whisky flights and a comprehensive whisky collection. This all comes at a price, but its worth it.

This bar is The No 1 Bar in Zurich regarding great barkeeper (they only hire barkeeper with a proper education), fantastic service and stunning ambiance. We ordered coffee, Wine, Beer and whatever we got was served with love. I like visit this place because you do not need order alcohol - and if you drink it comes in a perfect way. It is expensive but what is not expensive in Switzerland?

Classy bar in the middle of the old town. Impeccable service and knowledge by the staff with an extensive collection of drinks (especially the Scotch!).Also excellent service and food in the Restaurant, where a group of us tried the beef to share and it was perfectly cooked.Would heartily recommend to groups, friends, couples and even individuals to mingle and have a good time!

The space, menu, and concept changed since you last time went (2y ago). Food is now organized by taste categories, its an interesting discovery. Ingredients were fresh and overall the dishes were very good.The wine pairing on the other hand was a bit disappointing.

Truly the best, “bar,” in Switzerland; one-of-a-kind, including its alcohol selections. You’ll find options here that you won’t be able to find anywhere else, with the greatest, most-attentive, most-importantly, the friendliest staff, of true Zurich-locals. Though neither my friend and I were dressed to “the nines,” the service and product were impeccable, and the Swiss whiskey and wine selections truly outstanding and unique. Slightly quiet, Widder allows for an intimate experience w/ your friends and family.

My husband and I only visited the bar, not the restaurant and so this review is only related to the bar. It was a beautiful space with a detailed wooden ceiling and live piano music. They had an enormous selection of spirits. You could order the spirits individually or they also had quite a few flights available for comparing various types of whiskey, gin , etc. They also had a nice selection of cocktails.

The liquor selection is top notch, nothing short of amazing. Great whiskys and even tequilas, probably the widest array the city.I dont like the atmosphere very much, it feels very kitschy to me. Some of the live performers have been underwhelming (Im relieved when they stop performing).

If you are looking for a nice evening bar with a huge selection of fancy drinks this is your place. It is the perfect definition of a classic bar. Very nicely dressed people, live jazz music, dim light, extraordinary service personnel and expensive. I guess you either love it or dont like it at all. I can see why it is popular, but it is not for me. Im more on the dancing and laughing side of things. This place is too posh for my personal taste.
