Nonprofit railroad museum since 1980 with rolling stock units on display, a gift shop & memorabilia.
Doesnt appear to even be accessible anymore.
We drove 2 hours and it was closed on a Saturday. Supposed to be open 10 to 3. There were many other visitors who showed up in the short time we were here and that were disappointed as well.
Really enjoyed visiting the trains. You are able to view and walk through one steam, and two diesel engines with multiple carts. Unique experience for those curious about what travel was like generations ago.Would like to see further restoration done on these important pieces of history.
I get that its a non profit, but every time i have tried to go it is not open
Even though it was crazy hot, it was really cool to see the old train cars. Definitely would give back in cooler weather to look around when they are able to have all of the train cars open.
Neat piece of history preserved. What a neat old Texas town. Think of the history this area has.. Brick streets, got to shop antiques in the old Rail Road Depot..
It ok for a museum friendly staff
We visited on a Saturday afternoon around 2.30pm but it was closed.
Great facility on railroad history.🌝
For my little brothers sixth birthday, we drove 2 hours. And they werent open. it was closed and we could see trains, but it was 90 degrees outside. luckily, theres another museum close to it, but come on! He was so sad!
Went during the online posted "open hours" and there was nobody around. Its possible its not open in the winter.
Lots of stuff to see!!
Open 11am to 3 or 4 on Saturday only. $2 admission and great gift shop with lots of train stuff (mostly for kids). Great quick stop with kids.
My son loves trains. You can climb in/around/on trains here, so it is a clear winner. The cars are not air conditioned, so it gets really hot in the summer.
We went on a Saturday noon and it was closed. And the display trains were inside the fence cant go up and look at them in person. It will be nice if they will have them outside the fence so people and kids in public can come look at them in person. Come on wichita falls!.
Drove over an hour to visit WF and read on the site where it said that they are open limited hours during the winter, mainly only on nice days. Well today (Januaryit was 70 degrees and they were not open. Very disappointing!
Excellent, even got to meet the engineer and conductor. Even asked me if I wanted A ride on the train, but I got frightened and simply replied with A no thank you. This is when the Heritage Society was where the new Title and Land Deeds of Trust building is. SINCERELY thank you for showing me a splendid afternoon Lisa Mari Hobbs
