Great place for a walk
Great for a lovely walk with or without a dog great cafe
Its a lovely walking area with several routes you can take , then there is the added pleasure of a little cafe in the lay-by that does super grub .😊👍
Smells like woods looks like woods but its s breakfast cereal. Thanks for letting you all know so much joy and blessings ✨ 💖 and I hope you have a good time 😊
Someones done a brilliant job of clearing the trees from the powerline
Nice place to stop to exercise the dog. No public toilets that I could see open.
Very dog friendly Good refreshment kiosk but unfortunately no public toilets
This is a lovely place to spend a few hours with the kids and dogs, you can walk right down to the stream at the bottom. Its nice summer and winter would recommend to all dog walkers.
Nice place for kids to explore wildlife/nature and for dogs to get some exercise.
Lovely peaceful place for walking with dogs and a nice cafe
Gorgeous old wood, lovely walking trails, dog friendly!
You can choose a walk of half hour through to 2hours depending on route taken.. Excellent
Really nice place, looking forward to seeing all the trees with there leaves on. Nice paths.
Lovely wood and nature area but sadly parents let kids throw large branches and sticks in pond which damaged wildlife fauna and flora. But great place to walk run and climb.
Very nice walk, not very long but there are several paths to walk around. Plenty of wildlife, deer, birds etc.
Awesome dog walking, loads of nature, usually plenty of parking.
A very nice place for a dog walk. Large lay by with food van
Lovely walk albeit a little muddy in winter & busy at peak times (weekends)Free parkingFree entranceMud & people to be expectedHappy days
Beautiful big woods! Found the Brooke at the bottom. Got very lost and worried. Could do with a few very natural signs to help navigate.
Great place to take the dogs and I took a pram some of the paths are good some not so good so youll have to see what path is ok on the day but there are many hard stone paths
Beautiful place for woodland walk. Dog friendly with no bikes or horses allowed.
Amazing place to chill and walk about good dog walking as well
A beautiful wood, plenty of different pathways and seating and dog friendly
Lovely place for a dog walk. Nice and big as well 👍👍👍
Nice and peaceful, great for dog walks !
Very good area to walk the dog with a friendly cafe at the entrance.
Been here for the first time really beautiful place only downfall was over flowing dog waste bin on there way in. Perhaps another pickup could be arranged at busier times. But cannot fault the woods
A relaxing walk in the woods with my Mrs and our dog, followed by a cuppa n piece of cake from the cafe in the lay-by ( under new management).
Love this place. Full of blue bells, wild garlic and endless rows of trees!Lots of paths for long walks. Very quiet and packed with nature away from town noises. Go there to jog and walk off some steam. Great for our 4 legged friend when we were dog sitting! :-)
Ive been going to the woods since i was a child and i just love it. Its well maintained and i love taking my dogs and having a lovely walk with them. Theres seating areas for families for picniks too.
Beautiful, peaceful dog walk and the route A619 diner serves a mean breakfast at a reasonable price. Homemade cakes, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, toasted tea cake or omelette but to mention a few options I have tried. New owners and they have made a massive difference to the diner and menu well worth a visit. Even my pooch gets spoiled with doggy sausage and mash.
Take our dogs at least twice a week great as no cyclist or horses our dogs can run free
Fabulous place for a lovely walk with your dogs
Peaceful place to walk for all levels with our without a dog. Good walking shoes are a good idea but pathways are in good condition.
Great dog walking spot, no signal on most mobile phone networks there and its like a maze, good luck 😉
Nice woods with good walks, mainly used by dog walkers
Fantastic place for dog walking we love it hear
More like a forest excellent place to go with your dogs plenty of wildlife to be seen
A variety of routes available to make it as long or short a walk as you like in nice surroundings. Plenty of parking space too.The entrance to the woods itself could do with being more open and spacious. Also usually come across a few careless dog owners with their dogs running off lead, but thats not the fault of the location.
This is a great place to walk your dog but be careful to keep to the paths as it is easy to get lost in the woods. The only drawback is the irresponsible dog owners who do not clean up after their pets.
If you would like peace and tranquility then this is the place to go....beautiful scenery...there is a small pond with a picnic bench about 20 mins walk into the woods...plenty of wild life...😎
Lovely wood for a steady stroll round with our dog....dont be put off too much with the 5 loads of dog waste which we encountered within the first 10 meters of entering .. after this it was fine just put it down too idle dog owners.
Beautiful place to take the dog for a long walk. Very shaded which was great on a hot Sunday afternoon
Nice place to have a walk with your dog 🐕
Lovely walk through the wood. Plenty of paths to explore making it as long or as short as you like. Hardly anyone else around so the dogs had a free run. Easy access and parking off the A57 and followed by refreshments at the layby cafe.
Love it here with my pooch. Various walks depending on your fitness level. Little cafe in the car park too
Really nice place to go what ever the weather. Perfect for dog walks with loads of different paths to follow. Ive been going there for years
A great place for a stroll. There is an information board showing the waymarked walks and a little bit of history of the area. There is a layby to park in and a cafe, but I am unsure of the opening times
Lovely place for a walk with the dog,
ive heard this woodland is 1 acre of being called a forest, its very relaxing to walk arounf the is woodland, plenty of birds and also a few roe deer about, bencand picnic tables around the woodland also. its quiet easy to get lost if you dont keep and eye on the path posts with colour markings but we tend to just walk and use maps on our phone and plan as we go.
