White Spot Port Coquitlam in Anmore

The food was as expected for the White Spot restaurant but the service was well below average due to limited staff and usual demand.

5 stars to our server Emily, she was so efficient and respectful. She made our experience wonderful! White spot is lucky to have her!

Worst dining experience, noisy due to being sat by the kitchen, slamming of utensils or whatever they were slamming couldn’t hear over it. I will not blame the waitress she did her best. We waited over 45 mins from the time we ordered for the food to start showing up. Had to ask for items that did not arrive. Food was cold, bread hard, poutine mushy whatever was the problem they need to fix it. Would never eat there again, shame on them for such horrible service, I pity the wait staff having to deal with such lousy kitchen staff.

Came on a Sunday morning - girl at the front told us a 10 minute wait. However, it was actually a 30 minute wait.They seemed understaffed as there were a lot of tables still available.When we got our food one of the dishes (the cheese steak hash- all the potatoes and ingredients were soggy and filled with fluid. The only reason this is a two star rate and not a 1-0 star rate is because of the excellent service from the server.

Decided to spend Thanksgiving with my uncle. Had a wonderful low-key meal at White spot. Theyre struggling a bit with their staff as it is really difficult to find people nowadays, but our waitress worked hard and got us our food and drinks and we were very happy.

Just saying.....it would be a good practise for staff to wash their hands before mixing drinks....especially after handling dirty dishes

Great food awesome staff have to check this place out the restaurant is nice and cozy not that loud as well good place to eat alone or with a group the milkshakes are awesome and the menu has a great selection when ever in the area definitely need to come here from breakfast to lunch to dinner all good any time of the day

Three was nothing out of the ordinary, same over priced menu, service was good but food was nothing special for the price. Atmosphere very mundane.

No air con!!!! During the hottest part of summer!!! Employee told air con out all summer owners didnt fix!!! Unacceptable!!!

I was in the mood for a quick brunch as to fill in time before my wine tasting in Richmond. I decided to try White Spot in Port Coq. I entered and was promptly shown to my booth which was a bonus since I was solo and the place was not too busy. I was approached by my server - Devyn- if not mistaken. I ordered the Nats Hearty Breakfast. The food was on par and although the coffee could have been a bit fresher it was not bad. My server was excellent and provided great service as she checked on me more than once and was curious to ask about my day. Just by that gesture it went a bit better. Glad to see that not all experiences are disappointing - especially after when the bill is signalled. Cheers!

Worst experience we have ever had at a White Spot. Our waitress never came back to check on if we wanted anything after bringing our meals. No refills, nothing.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for several years, usually for breakfast, and while there are other restaurants to choose from, I go to this White Spot because of Arlene.Great service for many years. Hopefully many more to come! Thanks Arlene!

Unless extraordinary I never give 5 stars. We enjoyed the good food.

White Spot was THE place yo go when I was a child. Not any longer. The quality of food and portions for the price is no longer worth it. The legendary hamburger and the secret sauce is no longer the same. A disappointment.

Usually order from skipthedishes, so 1st time dine in. Waited till 2 PM to use its happy hour discount. Being sat at the far left corner was a bad spot for a sunny day. Barely air cooling and blinds didnt block sun as shown on pic #4. The shrimp and poutine was good but best to get during happy hour discount. $13 for 6 pieces of shimp is expensive. Finished the apps about 20 mins and got my NY steak 10 mins later. Off the bat, steak looks small, 1/3 of the plate. However, cooked good and juicy, my vegetables had too much pepper, wasnt gonna eat it anyways. But when I got the extra mushrooms, the stems were raw. Probably cooked only the top. Make sense to cut then cook the mushrooms but whatever.Overall, decent and expensive food but bad seating during sunny days.

Food is adequate. Changing from whats on the menu causes confusion.Waitress was nice.NOTE: the avocado in the salad was way over ripe and had black flesh. Sent it back. No way that should leave the kitchen!

Super busy and had to wait due to Fathers day, the staff were so great as I went with a friend who had a walker and they seated us very close to the door so she did not have to walk very far, very thoughtful 😀 There was a lot of food and we really should have ordered and split the meal as we had the same thing.

The food was great, but the service was sub par. And the employees were gossiping loudly about the workplace right beside our table

I often take my kids here for dinner. We all like the food and its reasonably priced. On our most recent visit we wanted to be in the bar area to watch tv because the curling was on TSN. However one tv was broken and they couldnt change the channel of the other. So if youre hoping to catch anything on TSN while you eat you may want to reconsider. I hope they fix it soon.

Brunch was good coffee a little cold. Service and staff wer friendly. They substituted the steak for the imperial burger thats a plus.

Standard White Spot with decent staff. If youre dining in, you may want yo make a reservation as they can be quite busy during dinner hours. Service was good and the food was typical White Spot food.

I love the food variety. Nats lager is my favorite. Kids love milkshakes.

Food was fine. Restaurant was not busy. Waited 10min to be seated. Another 10 min to get a coffee. Just terrible service.

Liked the raised level in the back. Booth seating a tad smaller than usual.Service top notch!Great location near Costco.

Monty Mushroom was better than I remembered. All the meals at our table looked and tasted good. Service was good, and the restaurant was clean and really nicely laid out.

White Spot, especially this one is a BC staple. Food is always great, the ladies working the morning are friendly and on it. Its getting a bit pricey overall with White Spot to be your weekly go too but you wont be disappointed ever. Also if youre new to BC or a visitor its a must. No questions asked. You have to go. BC staple and a piece of our fabric.

As I stand in here waiting for our order AGAIN. Im not sure why we keep punishing ourselves with this place? We ordered dinner for pick up and were told 25 min. I gave them an extra 10 min as it is a Saturday night and all restaurants are busy. Well to no shock I get here and our order is not ready nor does anyone recall taking it. I asked myself if I called the right number? Yup I did!!! I would not be writing this if it was the first time but this happens on a regular basis, items missing wrong orders and so on. This location has terrible management and would not recommend dining here until they sort this out, oh and apparently the manager is to busy to come and talk to me.

Have been here before and service has been okay, nothing extraordinary. However, it seems like this location is incredibly short staffed as this latest visit was atrocious. I swear we waited a solid 15 minutes to even have someone come to our table. I’d recommend that this location hold a hiring fair, as we had two servers who, between the two of them, managed to visit our table about 3 times within our visit. Despite asking multiple times for refills, they never came, and orders were incorrect, with one wrap literally not wrapped. Chances are this is my last visit to this location.

Love this place, its my favorite place for Breakfast Eggs Benedict, coffee and good conversation.Service is always fast & food is fresh and hot.Seating inside is always pleasant, Staff is always friendly and helpful.Lots of Parking including Disabled and a Disabled friendly entrance.On site clean washroomsI highly recommend this location

I forgot my vaccination passport so we opted for car hop at the Spot tonight. Car hop area is also where the curb side, Skip & Door Dash orders are picked up so VERY busy area. It appeared to be two or maybe even three staff for pickups to one handling car hop service. Both appeared to be operating pretty efficiently. Food was on point as always but I wanted to give a shout out to our server, a young man named Alex. He went above and beyond to help my husband and I tonight. He could have easily disregarded our special needs but showed kindness in a time when we don’t see much of it these days. Thank you, Alex, and good luck in your studies!

This is the 2nd time in the past 30 days your restaurant has messed up mine and my moms order. She called and did an order over the phone for our family and she order chicken strips for herself ( which was not received !and ordered no onions on my chicken burger and there was onions on it( I get ill from onionsand after working all day I had to come home from work and get stuck eating a sandwhich instead of a hot meal…so NOT HAPPY!! And I will not be ordering from your restaurant again!! No one has answer the phone or tried to make it right when we complained..definitely telling other people to avoid ordering from you!

We ordered on door dash 2 sunny starts and a side of bacon and sausage. When we opened the bags, everything was there except the TWO sunny start sandwiches!!! I called the restaurant and the hostess was speaking to some lady beside her who i heard clearly in the background rudely say "I packed everything, shes got everything" of course I said something and then the rude lady said "put her on hold" calling me a liar! Then the manager comes on with zero apology when I even said the lady was so rude calling me a liar and he said let me call you back.. he did not, but door dash did and I got a full refund. I will NEVER visit or order from this restaurant with the terrible customer service and management! Visit the Coquitlam store on pine tree, they are amazing over there!

The food was mediocre at best. I should know better to order the burgers, as their always good. Service was slow to get our bill. Ive had better service at this location, so I think today was an exception.

Wanted something fast and chose Whitespot. Ordering through the phone was difficult as they didnt answer so we had to call 5 times before it was picked up. When we received our order i was shocked that the "Legendary" burger looked like a toddlers plain hamburger the name and $16 price tag does not make one expect it to be like that. I think even the Ferrys legendary burger isnt like this. We called and the manager confirmed that was the correct burger but was kind enough to offer another burger with actual toppongs. The rest of the food was good but the shock from the over priced plain burger is hard to forget. Dont be tricked! Just got the replacement burger.. it was not cooked. Also found a rotten grape in the mixed fruit. Lack of quality control and value found here

Had a family Birthday Party at the White Spot location on Ottawa St, Port Coquitlam,B.C. Dec.6th and the service was amazing. The Waitress Kat was “spot on” and nothing was too much trouble. The food was hot and delicious. Couldn’t have asked for better. Will be back again for sure!

Checking for vaccine status. Really nice waitress, came over frequently see if we needed anything, but not too frequently. Food is always good. Fish and chips are the best.

Place is rat infested, saw at least 3 of them freely running around in dining area, god knows how msny on the kitchen.When informed them, said that it has been there for last 2 to 3 months, and they are working on it.Apparently health department gave them a low rating, they should actually close this location until the problem is resolved.Very disgusting, will think twice before ordering thru skip the dishes..

Standard eggs benny. Perfectly soft as ordered. Smash potatoes are awesome with gravy. Get the gravy and get free seconds on the smashed potatoes to you make sure to eat all the gravy. Always great here. Toss up between Benny, Club and Fish & Chips. All great. Dont forget the burgers and zoo sticks. Cant go wrong here. Quality and consistency between locations is impeccable.

Always know you will get great service and the staff is great. They take the time to say hi and make sure you are felt valued as a customer. Food is predictable..UPDATE 2021 had to update my review. Seems they have new staff and smaller menu and higher prices now. Service was so bad we did not leave a tip. Had to ask for basic things like more coffee. Salt and pepper, jam, bill, almost walked out was so bad. We use to go 3 maybe even 4 times a week bill was always $30.00 with a tip, now for the same breakfast it was $45.00 with no tip. All new staff. Need to find a new place. They are offering less for more. That is the wrong way to get customers back.

Take out order was the worst by far of any restaurant Ive ever been to. Meat was burnt one of the burger patties looked like it had a bite taken from it and all 4 burgers were dry. No quality control at all. I reached out to White Spot and they were supposed to send me burger vouchers over a month ago and nothing. Clearly they dont take complaints seriously or they have too many to handle....it was really that bad!

Hadnt been to White Spot in quite a while, but since visiting for lunch a couple weeks ago, Ive already been back since. Their burgers are still top notch, and theyve expanded their selection recently, offering an Impossible option, a Hot Nashville Chicken (recommended), and even a crab cake burger. The milkshakes are killer, as well.This particular location is convenient in terms of easy parking, and Ive found the service prompt and friendly upon my last two visits. Definitely recommended.

I am so thrilled by the great customer service they provided here. Business in the food industry are all having a difficult time but their staff still try their best to deliver the high standard service. They deserve to get paid more and I encourage people to leave them more tips even for take out if it is within your ability.

Great service, very clean everything for both of our meals was fresh and hot.I was very tired after a long day and did not eat most of my meal. I had it packed up to go. I called in an hour or so later to check if I had left it - I did. Of course, they had to throw it out, for health and safety. The manager readily offered to replace the entire meal. It was ready for me to pick up 15 minutes later, also hot and fresh., no charge, which I was not expecting at all. Wow! Super customer service. Thank you!

Ordered a bacon cheddar burger recieved patty and bun. Ordered mac n cheese side grapes and apple slices w orange juice for baby girl got bits of garbage mixed in with apple slices. Done with this place.

The new southwest bowl with BC grown chicken was delicious!!I think they changed a few things to their decor since we last been here - the lightening fixtures are more modern now, and they have long replaced the curtains for modern looking blinds instead.Staff is friendly and I find constantly busy.One star off for being understaffed, they really need more servers and cooks - especially on a Friday night.

The food is just average, service was quick and friendly, and it’s not too busy, which is a plus.

Chicken strips are great, Id order a 2nd one if I hadnt ordered my dinner yet. Next visit.....
