White Nest Hostel in Granada
Description
Friendly and helpful staf. A lovely place to stay. Cosy hostel located in a historic bulding in an old part of Granada.
MoreIt is really very nice and lovely hostel in the historical city center with very good and helpful staff.
MoreTheres nothing to complain about. People around the hostel are super friendly and always open to help with every problem. Glad I had the chance to be here ✌🏻
MoreThe room numero 41 with spectacular view on Alhambra. The hostel is cosy, clean and friendly.
Moreprice 5/5location 2/5staff 4/5facility 2/5privacy at the room 1/5i stayed 2 night here(4 dorm). there is no number or something marked at the bed or locker. even my locker was not placed at the room but at the toilet.
MoreLocation is great, breakfast is okay. Room is small but clean. Ask about the view from your room when booking.
MoreThe whole hostel offers some really decent service and rather comfortable rooms and air conditioning. Among the staff Id like to commend Ciaran for being enthusiastic, helpful and very friendly towards guests, creating a very warm and pleasant atmosphere.
MoreKitchen too small for how many people staying there. Most of the staff were nice.
MoreThe best of a backpackers hostel combined with the best of a nice hotel BUT for the price of a run-down motel. :D
MoreAmazing value - comfortable bed, large lockers, good ensuites. 100% recommend.
Very clean and great location. Super helpful staff. Simona led us around the city to some beautiful lookouts, then took us to a few different places for tapas and drinks which was a great way to get to know others and familiarize with the city. Would highly recommend staying here.
MoreBad choice, i had come here before but this time we had several problems. First thing, I’ve tried several times to contact the hostel before arriving, nobody got the phone. Next day, i’ve sent an email, nobody answered. That night at 00:30 all the crowd screaming and making noise, impossible to sleep. It seems to me nobody is responsible in this hostel, i’ve felt completely abandoned here.
MoreVery well located hostel, with a friendly staff and clean rooms. I could see the Alhambra from the third floor! All majors attraction were within 30min walk, and staff was happy to give tips and directions. However, the outlets in my bedroom were badly placed to charge my phone overnight, and I could clearly hear my loud neighbors at 0100 through the paper thin wall.
MoreFantastic hostel which surpassed all expectations, and has a great location in Granada too. Very clean rooms, helpful staff, and free breakfast!
MoreSolid hostel, good location just out of the main area, nice set up in the rooms, everything provided; towel, hairdryer, soap. Great little courtyard and balcony with the room.Breakfast was a bit hit and miss as groups tours would take a lot of it and it wouldn’t be refilled quickly, yoghurts were warm.
MoreAmazing stay at this Hostel, the best hostel Ive visited and Ive been to over 33 countries. Beautiful views of the Alhambra, clean and Modern facilities, super friendly staff. I will come back here next trip to Granada.
MorePerfectly comfortable, very nice location in old part of town, great breakfast, amazing view up to Alhambra
MoreThis is a solid hostel with good beds and friendly staff. The bathrooms were ok but hot water was unreliable. Everything is clean. Kitchen is usable. WiFi was fine. The location is great. Would recommend.
MoreSssssuper nice staff there (esp. the guy named Nacho). Would stay here when I am going to Granada next time.
Moreamazing hostel with the best view over the picturesque Alhambra. Very nice athmostphere. quiet at nights, clean rooms, working bathrooms. (kantin was OK). compare to other hostels in the city its relative cheap, not to mention the location! so we were lucky to stay here , thank you :)
MoreSuper clean and nice hostel. Friendly staff who answered all my questions. Comfy beds and good showers. Location was amazing as well, close to everything!
MoreGreat hostel! Rooms with a lot of space + private bathroom. Nice people at the reception. Good breakfast.
MoreThe actual building inside is sooo cute, much like the old town of Granada. The hostel was clean and the staff was friendly, very quiet and in a very quiet and nice part of town, close to Alhambra. Would recommend to anyone going to Granada if you want a quiet place in a nice part of town in 2km walking distance to everything!!
MoreWe had an amazing room with a direct view of the Alhambra. Everything was great, the only slight drawback being that there was no proper place to socialise (particularly at nightapart from the kitchen. The common room was good to relax in, but as no drinks were allowed there it wasnt ideal for night time drinks.
MoreIve stayed there a week ago and I was completely satisfied. Clean, nice stuff, very cheap (especially during the off-saison). You can relax in the hostels atrium and have a good view from the housetop onto the "Alhambra" the great mediaval palace of Granada which is only a few minutes far away by feet.
MoreAn excellent hostel! I stayed here a couple of weeks ago with my husband, our 5 year old son, and my father. We had a quadruple room with a private bathroom. This hostel is in the best place to explore the Albayçin. The Alhambra is a 20 minute walk (uphill). The staff were just great! Its in a very old Arab-style villa. They offer free WiFi. The kitchen is a bit small but that is the nature of staying in a classic building. Breakfast was simple and perfect for our needs. You feel like youre back in time. I highly recommend a stay here.
MoreA nice place to stay for a night as everything is provided already, all for a decent price. The staff is very friendly and incredibly helpful as well.
MoreI spent 2 nights in this hostel (25-27 of Julyin a 8 beds dormitory. It was clean, and there are several bathrooms in all the floors that you can use, if the one of your room is busy !The I spent 2 nights in this hostel (25-27 of Julyin a 8 beds dormitory. It was clean, and there are several bathrooms in all the floors that you can use, if the one of your room is busy !The shared area is nice, but not very intimate or personal. The kitchen is very small, you have some space to store your food, but make sure you write name/date/and num of room ; I thought that it would be ok if I put my food in the box with the num of my room only, but all my food has been thrown away...and I had kind of bad luck in this place (backing tray which stop working after 5 minutes using it, and problem fixed 1h30 later ; the wifi which stop working when I had to leave and book another hostel and transport in the hour, so I had to go in a cafe...but I just came at the wrong moment I guess !The staff is very very nice however, and for the breakfast, you have a lot of choice and the coffe and tea is in free access all day long. The price is maybe a. It expensive for a dormitory of this capacity, but its a nice hostel.
MoreThis hostel was very clean, spacious and had everything I needed. It was also cheap compared to other hostels. I pad 25 euros for a private room for two and it was exactly what I wanted. On the plus side, it had AC which is important for a Spanish summer.
MoreLooks good (it has a courtyardand it is cheap. Great atmosphere and friendly people. Free juce in fridge 😀
MoreLovely and kind staff, spacious and comfortable communal spaces (and a good kitchen), view to Alhambra from the top floor, walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go.
MoreGreat rooms, clean, nice bathrooms. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Clean beds and rooms -- friendly staff, the shared bathroom is workable but during my stay here there was bunch of school kids was up and running around slamming the door and playing music loudly until 4am -- hope they get someone here to monitor this during night .. besides that Id give this place solid 3.5 definitely a bang for your buck
MoreGreat location, nice building and decent staff. Breakfast was a little strange but acceptable.
MoreGreat friendly staff. Amazing location. Amazing place to stay. Very Clean. Cant say enough how much I enjoyed my stay
MoreVery good service for the small price I paid. Nice breakfast (exclusiveand very kind people.
MoreAmazing hostel ! Close to City center and Alhambra. Rooms are clean and quiet and the staff is super cool
MoreClean towels and free wi-fi (wi-fi can be hit and miss and require multiple retries for page requests). Desktop PCs available to use if you dont want to use a phone or tablet. Nice OJ at breakfast and thick toast. Pillows are very high.
MoreClean, bright spacious facilities with good variety of food for 3€ breakfast. However, it would be practical to have a light and outlet for each bed. Staff are friendly, but social atmosphere seems to be a bit lacking at the hostel.
MoreIt is a very nice hostel near the Alhambra, in fact, you can see it from the room. Breakfast t is included. There is a really nice central place to relax with puffs and computers. Overall, a really nice place to stay and visit Granada.
MoreExcellent location. The room was okey but the beds were not very comfortable. Great wifi signal
MoreGood location, 10 minutes from Plaza Isabel la Catolica and within walking distance to the best views of the Alhambra. A bit noisy and not enough toilets/showers.
MoreHad a rather unpleasant time staying at the White Nest Hostel for 3 nights with my girlfriend last week. At first glance the place looks inviting, theres a bright patio and marble floors, which do a great job cooling down the place in summer I can imagine. Unluckily for us, we were there in February and since the underfloor heating didnt work properly the room temperature was at about 5° C (40° Fwhen we arrived. We were told that the heating would take some time to come on, so we went out for a little stroll. When we came back and it still didnt work, I asked for another room on the third floor for the meantime. Unfortunately, in this room the mattresses were extremely saggy, you could almost feel the springs drilling into your back, however, I was too tired to ask for a different room again. Next day, after 3 or 4 hours of sleep, I realized that I must have forgotten my watch (not an expensive onein the room we were given in the beginning, so I went back to look for it. There was a cleaning lady mopping the floor (shouldn’t she have done this in the first place?!?and when I asked her if she had seen my watch she denied. Later that day, the heating finally kicked in and we could move into the first room. (The private rooms with double bed are spacious as is the bathroom, definitely okay for this price category. On the morning we left the place, we went down to the kitchen for a bowl of cereals and when we came back I found my watch peeking out from under a sheet of paper on the bedside table (as if I didn’t check every corner of that room…apparently the cleaning lady had realized that she wouldn’t get jack for that watch, she didn’t even bother to set the right time again, it was almost amusing). Long story short, if you’re travelling with your partner, invest 10 € more and look for a hotel, the clientele here is mostly young backpackers looking for fun (on our arrival the staff told us laughingly that they had just had a horde of French backpackers there, almost tearing the place apart).
MoreFriendly, helpful staff. Clean nicely designed rooms. Free Wifi in the room. Great location. Good value for money. No air conditioning but a decent fan means the rooms arent too hot.
MoreRoom was large and clean. Free WiFi in room, a kitchen to cook in and plenty of info on events and live music happening in the area. Its also close to restaurants and the main plazas in the Old Town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downfall was it was very hot in the room at night.
MoreStayed here in a six person mixed dorm. Each dorm room has its own bathroom with shower and its own set of lockers. Internet only works downstairs in the common areas not in the rooms. The common areas are very funky decorated with different colours and hanging curtains. Its in a great location for the Alhambra, if you walk down the road from the hostel you can get a really nice view of the Alhambra.
MorePretty nice place for sating in Granada!!! Real experience and cool people around!!! Thanks for Ivan (from receptionfor help and information! Best wishes from US!
MoreThe coolest hostel ever I seen! ALL is perfect! Good people, nice stuff and comfortable rooms.
MoreThe best hostel in Granada! Good design, friendly people, nice price! Was where 3 nights and I wanna go again in White Nest. Strongly recommended!
MoreI stayed at the white nest hostel beginning of October 2011 and i stayed there for one month whilst i was studying Spanish in Granada. I cant recommend the white nest enough to anyone who is thinking of staying there. The hostel is situated at the foot of the beautiful Alhambra in the ancient Moorish Albaicin part of Granada. The staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly and always smiling and why wouldnt they be, they are working, living, breathing in the most inspiring place i have ever visited. Granada is a city of ancient Spanish culture, but youll never find yourself bored on any night of the week. My opinion of Granada and the white nest hostel is a little bias because not only did i fall in love with Granada, but i also fell. in. love in Granada. My memories of the city from an artist point of view are of happiness, laughter, inspiration, love and the feeling of being in total and utter peace. The guys at the white nest where my family for a month, and what an unforgettable family they were. You have to go and see for yourself. Youll never want to leave and that i promise you.
