Chain serving oak- & ash-grilled steaks, BBQ, pasta & more in a casual space with an Old West vibe.
We got there about a half hour before closing. Im kinda aware they want to get out after working all day. But the staff was friendly and no pressure to get going. Others were at the bar. The food was good. Just a little dry, but it was the very end of the day. Will try them again next time we are in the area.
You absolutely have to save room for the peach Cobbler! Best I’ve ever had! Also try the spicy mango drink!
This has become our’ spot to stop on the way home to Iowa! Our server Halie was truly a treat! Service quit, as is important when traveling! Food was again off the charts great.
A bit pricey. The service was good. When my steak was vastly under cooked for how I requested it they gave me a few bucks off and put it back on the fire. However, it was still undercooked and not as tender as I would have liked.
The employees are nice! I will come back. The only thing bad is I wish the had better ketchup. It was a little watery.
Very nice family environment. Coleslaw and Ribeye were great. Would have been 5 stars if they offered rice as a side🙂
Absolutely top shelf. I highly recommend this place. Go out of your way if you can. Its worth it.
Pretty not bad! Like a doppelganger to Texas Roadhouse. But the "middle of nowhere Nebraska" version. Atmosphere was pleasant, staff was nice, service was fast. Albeit on a Tuesday evening while road tripping back to Denver. Worth a stop for a good sit down meal right off of I-80.
This place has improved it the last year but has ablong way to go. Food is OK. But over priced. Service has improved
Had the ribeye, cooked just the way I like it. The server was excellent, on point the whole meal. Great experience.Thanx WC
Very good steaks. Cute Western atmosphere and friendly service.
Service was good. I asked that my steak be cooked medium rare, it came more like well done.
Stopped for lunch while traveling. The food was great and the service was excellent. Would absolutely recommend!
Just started up so hopefully they get better. Pretty pricey for what you get. Proportion sizes are decent size. It’s aight.
I ordered the ribs and I count not believe how good they were and the portion size. I ordered a rack and probably got a rack and 1/3 rack. This big eater was very happy!
Were very attentive to my or familys needs, an infant too an elderly the staff took amazing care & fast friendly service when we let them know we had to hurry😉 shot out to the hostest/greeter for fun entertainment for our little one & or server Amanda I believe? Sorry if I messed that up! But youre amazing as well as the gentlemen who helped us get our elderly up& ready to go go go😉 bless you guys!🥰
We ordered a pound of wings and 2 bison burgers. Wings were salty as heck and the biaon burgers were dry and tastless . Do not waste your money or time here. Burger King has a better burger. As for the serves , the hottest did well but the waiter never refilled our drinks. Restaurant look great but at is it.
I have been here several times. I love their pulled pork sandwich. The fries are shoestring and always tasty. The main reason I come here is for the BBQ sauce they have available.
The food was too good and they should dial it back because all the other restaurants in town will have to close. ;)Honestly, we had an incredible time. The drinks and the atmosphere are unbeatable, and the menu felt just adventurous enough.Well definitely be back.
Our host who seated us was very friendly and courteous.Jessica our server was great and very nice. My salad was to die for very very fresh .OMG I ordered chicken fried chicken with a loaded baked potato it was definitely delicious my wife ordered steak she was extremely pleased with her choice. Definitely worth stopping in to eat
My family and I were traveling through on a long road trip and decided to skip the fast food places and get a decent meal for dinner. This was the perfect stop. My wife and I got great steaks (cooked perfectlyand the kids were happy too! They loved the peanuts at the table while we waited for our meal to be prepared.
Stopped there on our way through the state. Food was very good. Our server, Jessica, was very friendly.
Hostess lacked hospitality and server took forever to come to our table. After that they did a good job and the food was mediocre. I expected better tasting food for the price point!
Do not order the rib eye...its very thin. Good happy hour. Prime rib is awesome and so is the service. Happy hour ends at 5 pm.
Great food would love to go back next time in town. Bring a jacket it was cooled inside for my wife and mother in law. Lots of options on the menu food was hot and tasty.
This was a good place to eat the food was super our waiter was super always filling drinks and had a smile will definitely return.
Went to whiskey creek for my bday. Good food. Service was okay but the staff is not honest & Managent sucks. When our waitress took my card for payment she came back and said machine wouldnt read my card. I paid with another card for my bf and i. After I left I noticed the first card was charged near $200.00 for another table so the waitress lied about my card not working. My funds were placed on a 10 day hold and whiskey creek did nothing to make up for this. If you want to be charged for another table and lied to about it go to whiskey creek.
Dinner for two on a Saturday night...Wait time 25-30 min.Hostesses: friendly and would even stop to bus some tables on their way back to the hostess podiumService: We got everything we needed but it wasnt memorable.Food: thats where my 4 stars come in, I had the prime rib, seasoning aside, the actual cut was very tough, had a lot of tendons, it lacked its buttery texture. However, it was very well seasoned, didnt need the jus. Baked potatoe was creamy and buttery.
Free bucket of 🥜 peanuts was cool, steak was tender and well prepared and my server was pleasant 😊.
Ive always stopped at Whiskey Creek for years due to travel and have always enjoyed the steaks however the 12oz ribeye was the worst steak Ive ever had from you. Your quality has gotten so low and Ive observed it over the past number of years which is why your restaurant s are closing. You must be using Darden Restaurants playbook because they thoroughly suck now too. When Texas Road House opens in Kearney,NE you will be eliminated there too. How sad that your greed has overcome integrity
Best tasting steak I have ever had. Service can use help, food and ambiance was great.
A has been. A true sad story. Our waiter was great, they got that going. Over-priced and not worth the old price!
Waiter had an attitude from the minute that we walked in he acted like he had better things to do than wait on people. The baked potato soup was salty! When he brought the bill my husband ask for a senior or Military discount and he turned and left the table like we were going to bite him.He returned, no discount, when we ask again he said we should have ask sooner. In a raised voice he said to my husband to just hold on, grabbed the money he had put on the table and left. Came back with a discounted ticket and change. Never spoke a word to us; left. Never said another word to us. When we walked out no one was in site . WE WONT BE BACK!My husband is a very proud Vietnam Veteran and was wearing his had that indicates his service.
Very very busy, us 4 bowlers got our table. Good service. Great meals. Whiskey Creek is a favorite of mine.
Even though they were short staffed the food was amazing! I had the calamari and it was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. The over all experience was very pleasant.
Food is great...management and customer service are NOT!!!Two years ago my husband wanted to have his birthday celebration at Whiskey Creek. I called weeks in advance and they took a reservation for our group of 22. When I arrived 30 minutes early to set up Emily said they had just seated people in that section (although there were lots of other tables openand said, "They will be done by the time you need that space!" No one eats that fast at a sit-down restaurant. After waiting 15 minutes past our reservation time I called Skeeter Barnes and they said, we will gladly accommodate you and your 20 guests!! I said we will be there in 10 minutes. So we moved our party.FF 2 years and hubby chooses Whiskey Creek again. I called and was told its first come first served by a very rude young man and he hung up on me (its 3:30 in the afternoon not rush. Guess they have lost my business forever! Skeeter Barnes will save the day again!!
12-5-2021 Oh boy what a place. Visiting from Minnesota and found a great place to eat. I had the prime rib sandwich with all the trimmings.I must say it was quite good. Some really cold tap beer also.
The wait staff, though obviously pretty new at the game, were completely courteous and friendly. The food came out in a decent time frame and was hot and exactly how we ordered it.The house Margherita was pretty weak, almost just green sugar water, but other than that, all was good.I will be coming back.
The Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese is amazing! Also, our server, who was also the bartender, was so friendly and prompt.
OMG IF YOUR HUNGRY AND WANT SOMEWHERE TO STOP AND EAT LOOK NO FURTHER 100% FACTS LETS JUST SAY U NEED TO GO TRY THE PIG BURGER ITS TRI VECTA YUMMY IN MY TUMMY
An enjoyable dinner with food service and a nice atmosphere. The prices were fair, and everything was clean and well maintained
Food was awesome. People were great fed two of us for fifty including good tip. Im not upset and coming back this way will stop again. Bison was delicious.
This place is so good, I started staying at the econolodge hotel that shares a parking lot when I come to town for business. Great happy hour, great food, and the staff is amazing! I dont eat anywhere else for dinner when Im in town.
This is a great place to eat. Lots of steak, ribs and other entrees. A western atmosphere. Very clean and the staff if very friendly. Very impressed and highly recommended. They have a great bar and TV with sports. Very tall beers.
Service was great, I ordered the bone in Rib Steak. 32.00 worth. Steak was ok. Seemed like almost 1/2 of it was fat and no bone. Waiter was great.
Excellent flavor in the Smoked Brisket ( no need for sauce). Grilled veggies-zuchinni/squash/ mushrooms/red bell peppers firm and delicious, red skin mashed potatoes with white gravy very good. Dinner partners Branding Iron steak ( top sirloindelicious. Try the decadent Possum Pie with pecans sprinkled over graham crust covered in cream cheese, rich chocolate and whip cream finished w/ more pecans. Our server Braydon was attentive and made great suggestions!
Stopped in here four years ago and had the wood-fired bacon wrapped shrimp. stopped here the last two nights before getting back on the road and the shrimp is STILL the best anywhere. Gentleman next to me got the wood-fired salmon tonite...I will be getting that on my next trip through!! It looked and smelled amazing.
It is a rarity i give five stars, but I was very impressed with the food, service and prices. The waitress was peppy and kind. The Prime Rib Sliders were T & T (tender and tasty), and I didnt use up all my allowance paying for it. Dont be a knuckle-headed goober and drive by this place.Update: After my first glowing review, I stopped here with my family on a Friday night a few weeks after my first review. The service was very slow and along with the bonehead people near our table swearin up a storm, the visit was less than enjoyable. The food was fine, but the experience was not fun.
Service was great. She seemed pretty stressed.. all the servers did to be honest. She did awesome though. The food was pretty much inedible though. Barely had a few pieces of pork out of my sandwich and it was like chewing greasy rubber. Girlfriend had the same experience. It was bad. Onion bloom seemed okay until you got a little closer to the sauce cup which then didnt even feel like it was cooked all the way.Not coming back due to this to be honest..
Steak was delicious! Waitress was fairly good.2 stars you ask. Took for ever to get food with what looked like a not busy restaurant. Pulled pork bbq sauce is too spicy for my son but I thought it was good. However the sandwiches looked rushed when put together. The primerib sandwich was a soggy mess and the aujus was absolutely disgusting. Fries were good when the came out.Restrooms were Meh slightly on the messy side but one person could mess that up at any time. Manager did not come around like they used to.Made a point to stop here (from our return trip from the blackhillsas we always love this restaurant when we make it to town but wish we wouldnt have wasted our time now and will probably find a different restaurant next time we stop in Kearney.
