Whirlpool Aero Car in Shelburne

Went with family on the last open weekend in October. Lots of fun and stunning views! Totally gorgeous. The water contrast with the autumn foliage is lovely. Got tickets in advance and didnt have to wait too long in line. Very unique attraction. A must see in Niagara!

I was a little nervous about this ride but wow, the views were stunning. We arrived early when they opened and were glad we did. Well worth the trip its an amazing experience.

We didn’t get to take the ride but we really appreciate the view during falls. The tones of orange and blue here is amazing.

Definitely recommend getting on this if going to Niagara Falls, even if you are scared of heights like me. The ride isnt very long, its a very beautiful scenery and you can take some very nice pictures.

Wonderful place in the fall with a great scenery of the Niagara River. The guide giving a very detailed and descriptive guide as you go across. Just you know you do not get off on the other side of the cable car ride.

One of the best things I’ve done on my Canada trip. I’m an acrophobic and was almost convinced that I won’t get into the aerocar but my cousins were insisting so I gathered the courage and got in. Surprisingly I wasn’t scared at all and enjoyed every moment. It’s a thrilling experience. Anyone visiting Niagra Falls must do this, it’s a great experience!

Very beautiful area to visit this time of year to see all the leaves changing on the trees. Niagara river never looked better and so does this entire area along the Niagara river.

Very beautiful view of the Niagara River gorge and the whirlpool. Lots of interesting facts and the quickest border crossings ever (you cross the border 4x on the trip). Really lovely in the fall.

Prefacing this with the fact that Im not an outdoorsy nature-y person. The view was great and the guide was informative. Definitely makes for great pictures but not for people that are afraid of heights. It also moved pretty quick so it doesnt take too much time out of the day of you have the attraction pass and hop on the wego.

Great stop to see the Niagara whirlpool from the top! The Aero Car is an experience, so please make the time to do it. It is not expensive and is a beautiful way to see the Niagara river from the top. Note the color of the water - it is due to the minerals that is present in the water (the water of the Niagara River comes from the melting glaciers up north)

The whirlpool aero car ride is a great addition to your Niagara adventures! Our ride was included with the “falls pass” and although short, the view of the whirlpool is worth it. Lots of fun information provided by the tour guide and you cross from the USA to Canada four times! Try to arrive apart from the busses, we had hardly anyone on our car. There is free parking and a gift shop.

This was a fun little ride! We did wait in line for a bit, but overall it moves quickly. The ride isn’t super long but gives you some great photo opportunities! The only frustrating part is when you are supposed to move around to the other side, many people stop for photos and delay the line.

Whirlpool Aero car is one of the lesser known of the Niagara Fall attractions. On my 5th trip to Niagara Falls, I finally decided to check this place out and I am glad that I did come here. First of all, its not too crowded, in-fact, if you come around 11:30 AM, you will hardly see any large crowds. More importantly you are presented with breathtaking views, with pristine white water, rapids and whirlpools. The cable car ride is around 10 minutes long and safe for small kids to elderly grandparents. The major attraction to see while on the cable car is to look directly down and immerse in the whirlpool and white water rapids. You can reach here via WEGO bus green line. Get a day pass of WEGO, its just CA$10 and using the pass will let you have unlimited rides for the next 24hours. If you do come here don’t forget to wave to Americans right across you.

It was scary at first yet out tour guide is amazing! She assured us that the Aero Car is built with safety features 😊 The view from the Aero Car is so wonderful 😊

A truly remarkable experience. Kids loved it. They should do something with the queue outside in hot summers. No shade and your getting baked. Was hard on the kids but we managed in the end

One of the "thrill rides" us older folk can get involved in. Fantastic ride but a little too short. Would loved to have had a few more minutes to take in the beauty of the river and whirlpool. The park guide was polite an loud enough for everyone to hear. Very informative with lots of previously unknown facts we learned. One of the best things to do while in Niagara Falls. highly recommend it.

What a great experience!! Wait time was not bad since we came right as they opened. The ride was great and our guide Will was awesome.

One of the best attractions in Niagara park region. Aerocar provides you a gorgeous view of Niagara river flowing across the border of the US and Canada. The operator in the aerocar also provides a nice commentary of the place while we enjoy a beautiful flow of the river from the top. The best thing you’ll find here is parking. It’s free and available with an ample space unlike other attractions in the region. A recommended place for a visit during the Niagara trip.

Great experience to take part in. Can be quite a long wait in the queue. Max of 40 people at a time on the single car which has to go across and then back again which takes at least 10 minutes. Better value as part of one of the Niagara packages. Would recommend if you’ve never done it before.

Excellent cable car ride to enjoy beauty of the Niagara River whirlpool. Beautiful scenery and awesome views for taking photos. Thoroughly enjoyed this ride. The wait times over the weekend are over 1 to 2 hrs. Would suggest planning this first as early you can before visiting other attractions.

Awesome experience! Tried this attraction recently and it was breathtaking! You can enjoy the Aero Car for just $17. There is quite a bit of queue by the curb at the parking area so be prepared to wait for about 30mins. Make sure you have your ticket redeemed at the ticket booth if youve booked it online as they wont take the printout from your email; youd have to physically go to the booth and claim the paper ticket which the staff scans.The view was phenomenal! As you get on, you can choose to be on the left, right or centre of the car and they switch you around on the ride back. It takes about roughly 5-8 minutes but youve got views like no other! Amazing!

Usually we take the Highway 401 for Niagara Falls but this trip we took a detour after Hamilton and took countryside route via Niagara Parkway road.This gave us an opportunity to pass by Niagara Helicopters Ltd and Great Wolf Lodge and finally we took an halt at Whirlpool Aero car sometime before the falls.Though we didn’t avail the ride it’s good to go with prior booking and an wait time at long queues on weekends.This place offers unique views of Niagara river in whirl’s due to its turnaround.Spectacular views. An half an hour well spent.Enjoy.

WOW!!!! Loved the ride over the gorge and whirlpools!! A must see if in the area. Its downstream from the falls and you can see the power boats spinning around in the whirlpools from above!! Get the Adventure Pass....whichever amount....they are well worth the price!!

It serves the name really well. Whirpool. It offers several decks for viewing and cable cars for transport. I suggest to go in the afternoon so the glare of the sun is on the other side. Much better experience.

The views from the aero car are spectacular. The whirlpool is not one of the most touted spots in Niagara and its no surprise many do not know about the beaches, hikes and the whirlpool jet boat tours. It takes you across the shared border with the US and back, for those concerned about things like that, but ultimately shows you parts of the aquatic scenery thats less visited or travelled. Glad I was able to visit this part of Niagara

An amazing experience gliding over the roar of the whirlpool below. The trip is a quick over and back and you see both sides on the tour.

Visited here on a Saturday, wait time in line ups around 45mins to an hour! Views are amazing though it was a very short aero car ride, 10 mins or so! The staff is very friendly. Even though u book tickets online, once your there, the ticket counter will print the tickets for you. Parking is free

Amazing views but very short ride. There’s a bump when Aero car leaves the station and another then it hooks up again. hold on your things and your phone, guide recommended to hold the rail. Strollers aren’t allowed on, narrow standing on both sides. And on the way back they make everyone move in one direction so people on both side can see both sides. 30 minutes waiting on concrete stairs. Some shade. Park is free. you can see some views from the gift shop or in front of the ticket window. They only check you ticket when you enter the line. Guide said we crossed the borders 4 times because the water is V shape.

For 13 per person its nice.A pretty relaxing and enjoyable ride over Niagara and nice to get away from the more crowded areas.Definitely great for families.

Excellent experience! Although we had to wait about 30 minutes, there was a beautiful scenery to enjoy 🙂 This attraction is about a 7 minute drive from Clifton Hill...we took a taxi that cost $30 round trip.

Incredible! This was an impromptu stop for us after leaving Great Wolf Lodge, and we are so happy we did. The views were stunning. It was reasonably priced for our four family members. The line was quite long and involved alot of stairs. Although it was hot and sunny, we were sheltered by a canopy for most of the wait. We were disappointed to see lots of litter along the embankment beside the stairwell going down.

Finally made it here. Was always interested in this but other attractions beat it out on previous visits to Niagara. Fun little ride with beautiful scenery. At the halway point, riders are instructed to move to the other side so everyone gets a chance to see both views (whirlpool and gorge). Unfortunately, when we visited, the whirlpool was barely there. Note that you cannot get off at the other side. Surprisingly, parking was free. Validation didnt seem to be required.This has its own WEGO bus stop (Northbound and Southbound share it).

250 feet above the water at its highest point, trailing above the whirlpool River gorge, crosses over the border 4 times on a quick back and forth trip. The ride lasts about 10 minutes. My boyfriend enjoyed the ride very much but it was a little much for anyone with a fear of heights or falling.

Magical place to go over the river, the ticket price is approximately 18 Canadian dollars, there is not much waiting in line on a working day. There is a souvenir store on site next to the entrance to the attraction.

At first I was SUPER hesitant to do this as I’m afraid of heights, but SO glad I did it because it was one of my favorite attractions we visited.Guides were informative, fun, and had a great sense of humor! Beautiful scenery and felt safe and secure the entire time.

We had such an amazing time at this attraction. It was lovely. Would happily do it again. My friends that were visiting from Australia thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This will be a key location to take my friends and family when they visit. Staff were very knowledgeable and quite funny.

A fabulous experience on top of the Niagara whirlpool. You seem to cross the US Canada border more than 3 times without a passport during the ride due to the geography of the route followed. The views are absolutely majestic. The class 6 rapids forming the whirlpool is absolutely amazing. You would even see the whirlpool jetboats during your ride. The spot is well connected by wego bus. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even if you have passes and tickets you need to wait for your turn as its first come first serve.

Highly recommend this experience, one gets to cross over the Niagara River and enjoy the whirlpools from above. At a certain point one crosses into the US as the river is divided between Canada and USA. It’s such an awesome experience!

Short and nice ride with beautiful views. The line to get to the ride was long enough, I wait more than 30 minutes, but again the view was gorgeous.

Fantastic experience. The tour guide was great and the wait was not bad as it was in the shade. The only things to be mindful of are mobility issues as you wait on a steep concrete stair case and the ride over the whirlpool is done standing. The stairs when you exit are very narrow and steep.

Fantastic and scenic view. A must visit place. Ride is about 15 min though wait time could be up to 30 min on weekends. However wait is worth.

One of the best thing we did one our vacations. See everything from the aero car is a nice and beautiful experience.The price is ok I recommend you buy the tickets online, the line was more than 45 minutes for us to get in the aero car but it was worthy the wait.If you do this trip I do recommend you do this.

Amazing experience with magnificent views. Whirlpool aero car at Niagara offers some of the most beautiful views. Theres not much parking spots, so arrive early or take the Wego bus. The gift shop is pretty neat with fancy and unique souvenirs. Must visit spot.

If you’re looking for an old time thrill this is the thing to do. I recommend purchasing tickets before hand. The crew is very knowledgeable on the Aero Car. It’s so amazing to see Niagara over 3000 feet in the air. I love how we were able to see from both sides of the car. We shifted on the way back to the starting point. I’m so glad me and my family had this experience. Very inexpensive.

Amazing and scenic views. We went on a Sunday evening and the car ride was shut but the teal color water of the Niagara river was unforgettable. Would definitely visit again and take the antique cable car ride; you can cross the Canadian border and enter the United States (albeit momentarilywithout having to carry a passport ;)

My boyfriend was terrified before going on, however once we stepped on and the guide started explaining the history and geography, he really enjoyed it a lot. A beautiful experience and very peaceful and gorgeous. The ride length is about 10 minutes and you are able to switch views halfway through.There is a wego stop right in front of this attraction - we purchased the Adventure Pass which includes 48 hours of free wego bus rides which stop directly in front of all attractions included in the pass. I would highly recommend this attraction and the adventure pass.

This is a great ride! Although it’s very short in time, it indeed has beautiful scenic views. The guide during this trip also shared a lot of information regarding the power generation and how the currents in the whirlpool change during day and night time.Interestingly I did find a few hiking trails on both the country sides along the whirlpool. Should be a very fantastic hike experience I believe.

A cool attraction in Niagara. Great views of the river and whirlpool.Only 15 mins long, but also only $17, its worth checking out.

This was the first activity we did when we reached Niagara Falls. We were blown away with the fall colors and the whole experience!! This was a lot of fun!!!!

I couldnt do it, its 3500ft in the air 😬 but hubby loved it! They said theyve taken 10,000,000 people across, and never had a single problem! The photos hubby took were really cool, looking straight down at the whirlpools. Great experience to try if you arent afraid of heights like me 😅 if you are probably stay away. Theres no harness or anything keeping you safe, you can walk all around inside.
