Popular mini-chain with counter service offering a small menu of Turkish vegan eats.
Great to find a 100% vegan takeaway, friendly staff and lovely food
SOOOOO delicious!!! The gyro with the garlic mayo is absolutely incredible. Great vegan restaurant.
Personally i liked it , id go again simply because it was nice , fresh , wasnt heavy and is nutritious! Im not a vegan but i enjoyed eating from here , decent prices and a enjoyable experience. Thank you and see you again . For anyone hesitant about this place , dont be , its good . Enjoy .
The food is tasty and well cooked. The fries came out hot and crisp, exactly how I like them and the chicken gyōza and doner and chips both tasted good, though a generous amount of salt has been used, not too much but parhaps not to some personal tastes.
Everything I ever wanted in a vegan kebab
Superb tasting kebab, chips were delicious, even the vegan nuggets were fab. My only fault is the pricing, its rather steep for what it is. If the price was taking down somewhat, it would be perfect.
Great vegan options, very tasty. Friendly
Great mediterranean food. Drinks were warm due to fridge not cooling enough. Other that that it was great. Good portion sizes.
Excellent food that’s a great value for money! We had the chik’n nuggs, the doner wrap and the gyros. The nuggets were breaded well and had great texture. Remember to ask for some free sauce on the side as I don’t think it is provided by default! The doner and gyros had great textured meat and were flavorful- I only requested tahini but would ask for chili sauce as well next time, as both dishes could have done with more spice.Overall, fantastic spot for a vegan meal at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit!
Absolute perfection. Got the gyro, fries, and baklava -- all beyond delish!
I ordered a menu with a falafel pita and some chips.Everything was hot and tasty! However, after eating I realised that there was a sauce in my pita that I needed to make sure of (ingredient wise).I contacted them to ask for the list of ingredients via…1.email2.WhatsApp3. Instagram= nothing. It’s been more than 2 weeks now and still no answer. It’s a shame… knowing they are posting on social media quite often.
Visit every time we are in the area. Brilliant vegan food.
I have tried the Doner. The size was pretty big, nice stuffing and sauces. The vegan meat itself was alright. The price was quite high (£9.50).
I eat healthily, Im not a vegan but i do like vegan alternatives. The food here, make no mistake, is fast food. The doner i had was very tasty but it was deep fried. This is not a healthy alternative. A meat rotisserie doner would actually be much healthier. The pitta it came with had a strange flavour, like old yogurt, so i couldnt eat it. The fries were very good. The server wasnt rude, but had a, get-on-with-your-order attitude.I will try the burger next time if it is not deep fried.
Excellent vegan wraps, Im sorry I only ate here once!
Incredibly tasty vegan food with fast and friendly service. Perfect pre-gig dinner, many thanks!
Absolutely amazing menu, I came here with my partner for a day out and as a non-vegan he agreed these were without a doubt the best kebabs we had ever tasted! Such a great all-vegan restaurant which you should definitely go to if you visit Camden!Thank you for bringing more sustainable and delicious vegan-friendly options to the area! 💚💜🌱
Weve only visited once, but our food was really good. We both ordered a Chicken Gyro with the works. It was very nice. There isnt really an eat in atmosphere but worth ordering out.
Probably my favourite vegan spot in London, especially considering the great value. The vegan doner is awesome, wonderfully warm and stretchy bread with fresh fillings. The doner chipbox is also fab if youre extra hungry! I also order a lot from here on UberEats and it travels well, for the box they put all the sauces/dips in separate containers so it doesnt become a mushy mess by the time it reaches you.
Had a really nice vegan doner kebab and vegan chickn gyros with a side of waffle fries. Value for money excellent. Some indoor seating designed to eat and go. There is a customer toilet. Wish we had one closer. Good value for money. They do a meal deal which Inc the doner, fries and a drink for £12.99. The second gyros we had by itself. Came to £21 for us both. All freshly made there, even the bread. Also do loaded fries and burgers. They were fairly busy when we visited Saturday 7pm.
Hearty, Vegan Take Away food with so many ways of putting the food together. Lovely, Warm Staff. Ben & Jerrys Vegan Ice Cream. Loads of options. Order pick up ahead, wont need to wait 10mins.
Very good. Love the vegan doner. Takes me a couple meal times to finish it so it is great filling food. Fresh gyro wrap is so delicious! Gets messy so napkins a must!
Omg.... I stumbled upon what the Pitta when on a course in Camden, so glad I did. I now go every time I have the course, its incredible. Obviously the biggest selling point is its all cruelty free delicious food, having this many vegan options is a treat. But even if youre not vegan, put that aside and try it. The food is tasty, full of flavour and filling. You wont regret trying this fine establishment. The staff, especially the manager are super friendly
Much as I want to support all-vegan businesses, this sadly didn’t live up to the hype for me. I’ve been excited to try it for ages: I ordered the chicken gyros with a side of waffle fries and their hummus. All the food was well cooked but somewhat lacked seasoning and flavour! The pitta was fluffy and fresh but with no salt and fell apart in your hands, making the whole dish impossible to eat without a knife and fork. The chicken was very realistic, but I couldn’t taste any seasoning added to the This pieces. The Hummus desperately needed lemon and garlic. The waffle fries, again, had a perfect crunchy texture but no salt!!!The saving grace: the baklava was lovely 💚Perhaps I just got a rushed one but nothing special imo. Was hoping for a flavour bomb dripping with olives and pickles and garlic and meatiness but it just wasn’t that for me! I would much more recommend Mildreds and Purezza if you’re looking to support vegan businesses in the area
Finally a vegan kebap to keep away from your old cravings and where you dont have to be worried about not being vegan.I had doner with fries. Very fulfilling and nice taste. Nice staff.I recommend to vegan and non vegan to come and try it.
Top quality vegan eats. Great staff, food arrived really fast but was astounding. So flavourful, we stuffed ourselves! Definitely want to visit again next time we are in London and its so good we would make the to eat there as part of our trip next time ❤️❤️ vegan foodie essential!
Firstly Im not a Vegan, but I absolutely loved what the pitta. Simply put it this is vegan kebab its not healthy but I can reassure you its most likely better than what your local kebab shop would serve you 😉The small menu offers a small range, deep fried satin, falafel and vfc (vegan fried chickenburger, all served with fresh salad and chips. Personally I recommend the snack boxes over the wraps. You can eat in here or takeaway, its fast food , delicious and great option for vegans
Super tasty vegan food! My non-vegetarian partner loved the kabab-style meat. Great falafel too, which is so hard to find in London!! Would love to come back often! Prices are decent for the area but couldnt afford to go regularly. Lovely staff too!
One of the best kebabs I’ve ever had! You wouldn’t know this wasn’t meat, the taste and texture were amazing. The portion size was huge and we could barely eat the sides we ordered because we were so stuffed. Would definitely recommend and will order again for sure!
The doner chip box is one of my favourite things to eat in London. Fantastic food every single time. 100% recommended
Sooo delicious!! Couldnt believe is not meat... Excellent food, fair price, Ill definitely come back :)
DELICIOUS (all caps because that goodvegan kebabs from What the Pitta. I’m a big fan of the food here, great portions and always freshly cooked. The staff are friendly and you get your food pretty quick. I am salivating the picture posted and I’m quite sad I havnt had one in a while. Located really close to Camden Town tube and you can dine in (however this pic was taken pre lockdown so unsure if you can atm)
The vegan doner kebab wraps were good but not enough salad in there and sauces (burger and chillibland. The biggest disappointment was the £3.50 side of onions, portion was so small and they were undercooked. The fries (£2.50were decent though. When collecting the staff were friendly.
Excellent food. Great value for money.I have been ordering from this place for a while now and as a vegan, I am so glad to have stumbled across a place that does tasty vegan food for a very competitive price. Never disappointed by the portion sizes or the little freebies that they offer up. They also do great combo meals for larger groups (couples and up).Keep up the good work.
I’m not really the donor kebab-type-of-guy but as I was in the neighbourhood I thought I would give this place a try. The staff was very good in walking me through the choices. The vegan rap was, to my surprise, very good. My only concern was that the staff seem to handle money and also food without washing their hands. Perhaps a tad and unhygienic but as I said the food was good.
Vegan food which is absolutely delicious and lip smacking! Very clean, cosy, sleak and cosy environment not too big or too small either. Very fast service, grant portions with lots of amazing vegan sauces to choose from, my favourtes being mayo and tzatziki. Also a must try is their big collection of vegan ice creams. Ive been ther two times and Im already addicted! Talk about tasty vegan food!
Epic portions of tasty food, and reasonably priced, too. However, beer was way too expensive - £4.50 for a small can of Tiny Rebel! Sheesh!!Edit: It seems the beer was charged incorrectly.
Fresh off a train from the North, I dashed to Camden to catch this place before closing. Was greeted by great staff and incredible food. Can easily see why this place wins awards! Exceeds the hype.
Every time Ive been here, the food tastes great and is amazing value for money (the portions are HUGE).Also, whilst chips and kebabs are not the most healthy of foods, the soy pieces are much less greasy and heavy than the meats youd get in typical kebab shops (which, imo, makes for a much nicer eating experience)
BEST VEGAN KEBAB EVER! In the picture there is a doner box, I don’t have a picture of the wrap unfortunately, but it is also amazing! They have a small space inside, with the quick rotation, so it is not a problem at all. Also they have the best baklavas, would really recommend!
Love this place... The vegan donor is nuts and as Im doing veganuary I thought Id share this gem with a colleague of mines. Guess what he polished the wrap. He was also shocked to see even the wraps were freshly made!
This place was truly amazing! Ive travelled to a number of vegan doner places in Europe and this place have really nailed it! - best #vegandoner I have come across! The vegan doner box with chips is just pure heaven.Cant wait to visit London again and Ill be back for more!
Top notch place, the staff is super friendly and massive massive props for offering everything vegan in the shop. The vegan “meat” shwoarma was great! Even as na ocasional meat eater I’d take this place any day. Will definitely come back.
Some of the best vegan food Ive ever had! Large portions and super friendly staff :)
Was a bit of wait because Im a picky eater and they accidentally made it with all the toppings when I only asked for 2 but they made it again and it was delicious. The staff were super friendly. What the Pitta is my favourite vegan junk food!
Yeeeeeeeeeeesssssss! So good. And the best Döner I had in London so far. Ridiculously good. Recommended to vegans and non vegans! Staff is lovely and passionate too.(Excuse the photo, but we simply couldnt wait digging into it before whipping out the camera)
Great vegan kebab, good choice of soft drinks. 2 meal options : one with main, drink and fries, another one with main, drink and baklava (sweet desert). Kebab is massive and extra tasty and filling! Seats are available inside, customers toilet. Would recommend visiting!
Im not vegan myself but I came here with my friend (whos still trying to convert meand was surprised by how good the kebabs are. Will definitely visit again.
This place is amazing! Ive gone vegan in the last year and Ive never been a fan of kebabs but decided to try this based on a recommendation online. I was blown away! The chip box is my go-to and it never disappoints. This is my absolute favorite vegan takeaway. The staff are always extremely friendly and accommodating to customers needs. Great portion sizes and value. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Vegan Doner. Yeah baby!Although I’m vegan I’ve never been a fan of fake meat type meals. That being said this was a nice treat for lunch. The kebab had a pleasant texture to it and was super tasty. I loved the sauce.New staff were being trained when I showed up and I had a pleasant chat with the girl at the till who served me. You can tell the owners really care about quality and consistency.Nice to have somewhere new for vegan lunch in Camden.
