Omg. How rude was there staff. Walked in with our little dod and told to leave. Not even to sit outside. Cheap drinks, cheap service 🤦‍♂️

When I eventually got my order in, it was prompt service. You get what you pay for. But the Wi-Fi could be quicker to use the weatherspoons app.

too many new seating arrangements, difficult to gt through pub with a pushchair or disability chair. is it all about bums on chairs now, social distancing can just mean you dont have to rub shoulders with strangers to enjoy some food qith the family. outside dining through the summer on county council green seating of ?customers dont need to be squashed back inside do they. its a pub for all ages so thinking of other diners whom may not want 4 kids and two sets of parents, their banter and antics in their space mid pub whilst trying to have a peaceful pint. who is managing this now needs to think of table orders and staff...surely. great breakfast and bril service by all staff. very friendly.... thank goodness i was there early and it wasnt a busy lunch time.

Had a delicious lunch with good companyIt Was nice to have space ie not many people to eat and converse and the staff very attentive

Well organised as normal,with prices that would make you smile.They were fairly busy but had it under control Well done Tim and all his staff thank you.

Typical wetherspoons, wobbly, sticky table. Kids running everywhere. Should know better by now not to visit. Drinks werent bad quality and cheap.

Vert spacious, had no problem finding a table. Breakfast was nice there. Friendly staff, but long waiting time on occasions when busy.

Good atmosphere. Other Food looks good and ordered the tomato soup which tasted like canned tomato soup so avoid ordering it if you are there

Just been for breakfast, absolutely disgusting. Rubber eggs, undercooked bacon, cold beans and sausage that was well done on the outside but undercooked and cold on the inside??? All prepared and served by kindergartens.

Food left on heated shelf for almost ten mins before we were given our meal. The screen kept showing red, obviously meaning they were running over time. We were sat near the kitchen so could see. Only one lady doing the serving, clearly needed a second person as far too busy for one person. Plus, she was also clearing the tables- not appropriate. The young girl behind the kitchen counter was seen to pick up a clean plate and to hold it to her chest, hugging it. Again not appropriate. Shame, because the food was actually very nice and good value for money.

No food. There were no notices to tell customers. Sat down at a table smothered in food Menus, then only when i got to the bar ro order was told no food today. Looked around and there were Menus on every table. Staff stand8ng around so not too busy to have collected the Menus in. Just bad. Its Sunday. People are going to be coming in all day for the famous roasts. Are you going to just tell every customer as they come to the bar theres no food today. Are you planning on leaving the Menus out?

Very busy Wetherspons pub in Paignton at midday on a Wednesday, prices best in town.Why is the pub so dark and dinge, refurbished in 2010 (plaque on wallneeds a uplift carpets seen better days and pub smells of body odour.Quick service at bar.

Away for a few days in Paignton so called here for breakfast and evening meal. Had 2. cappuccinos with the egg muffin for breakfast at a cost of £3.05.For evening meal I ordered the grilled chicken burger with chips with a lemonade and that was £7.45. Reasonable prices compared to other places in the town. Well worth a visit. Staff were very nice and helpful.

This place was PACKED, which to me is a good sign. Difficult to find a table at first, the issue being single drinkers sat at 4, 5 & 6 seat tables when there were plenty of single or 2 seat tables they could have chosen, but thats a patron problem, not an establishment problem. There were 3 in our party. Using the app is very easy - order on the app & pay, giving your table number. Drinks were brought to us within five minutes, & our food was brought to us in a further 5 minutes. Ten minutes in total, not bad at all! We had 2 sirloin steak meals, each cooked perfectly to our preferences, with chips, onion rings & mushrooms, & a 3oz cheeseburger with chips. 3 drinks - 2 pepsis & a pint of cider .. all for £31.65 !!!!! Unbelievably good value. It was all delicious and our table staff were friendly and cheerful. All in all a good experience as we decided to go in on a whim. Will go again & again :)

Pity that smokers sit outside on the pavement side and at the back of the building. Inside its very packed and dark but it is a good stopping off place for a toilet break and a couple of pints.

Traditional breakfast was served quickly, however, egg, beans, bacon was cold. Hash browns overdone and toast was cold and burnt. No apology from kitchen staff or management

Unfortunately not the best Wetherspoons but in a lovely area. Breakfasts were OK but certainly not the best. Tables repeatedly not promptly cleaned. Service sometimes annoying. Too much of serving customers that had just turned up. The lady serving the breakfasts was very good though. At least one plus.

I went a few weeks ago, sat at the table by the kitchen. Food was left lingering for over 40mins before taken to tables, staff wiped their nose then handled food and cutlery, and kicked rubbish about rather than pick it up, staff were swearing, food was handled from plate to plate, ie a wrap passed from one plate to another, handa all over the wrap, some meals got cold so were microwaved, as they werent taken to customers asap. Would never eat there but other than that the prices were great, door staff and some bar staff helpful and wide selection of drinks.

Its a Weatherspoons. It was quite pleasant inside, open plan with plenty of windows, staff were very friendly, waiting times for food were not excessive. We used it for breakfast a couple of times.

Probably the best wetherspoons I have ever been to! Fast service despite being the evening and with drinkers in, food was fresh and hot, prices are fab, table was clean and plenty of space to move around so you dont have locals or otther holidaymakers breathing down your neckWill be returning on my next trip

Great pub and plenty of seating. Even seating out the back on a green which was very nice indeed. Staff rushed off thuer feet as very busy being in a seaside town. They were all very pleasent and helpful. Food was just warm once arrived but did not like to say as they were doing thier best . I suggest downloading the app so you can order food and drinkd from your table as queues huge when we were there. Overall a great watering hole at the right prices. Easy access in and out with toilets for the disabled st easy reach. Defo worrh a visit

Like the place, however a lot of signs up about future plans which results in a number of empty enclosures - no elephants, no Lions, no camels, the owls & no bird show. But whilst a few are gone still a lot to see!

A usual Wetherspoon pub. Nice breakfast. Best hashbrowns. But two stars down because.Serving ketchup and mayonnaise only in sachet instead of bottles which causes a massive amount of waste. And you dont get proper plain butter, only the Lupak which is a blend of different things.

I like Weatherspoons pubs, sort of slightly up market McDonalds with alcohol. As usual it was good priced food and perfectly acceptable, one could even say nice. It was absolutely heaving though and there were many tables that needed clearing. Even so, nice place and food was quick to arrive.

Food was inedible. Ordered a gammon, waited over an hour for it. When it finally arrived it was cold, the egg looked like it was made of rubber and the mushroom was dry and shrivelled. Worst Weatherspoons weve ever been in.Also, there were homeless people wandering around looking for left overs but even they wouldnt even eat it!

The food was not even luke warm. my childs mash you could pick it up in one peice. the veg was cold the chicken was yuk. Are they wanting people to get food poisoning?! We wont be visiting this location again as this is the second time we have had issues with food arriving cold.

first off we had to wait 45 minutes for our food, then when it come 2 chips on my plate were frozen, the eggs on the breakfast brunch looked like road kill. Not very clean either. overall I do not recommend this monstrosity of a Wetherspoons.

Its a wetherspoons, you dont really go here expecting top quality food but went for a quick bite to eat for breakfast, wasnt too busy and yet still managed to mix up the order resulting in me having to go find a staff member to get it resolved. Wanted poached eggs for a eggs Benedict, told me they cant do it as dont have any but can do fried egg instead, apparently they microwave their POACHED eggs I mean seriously do they not know how to cook them normally? Absolute disgrace of a chain

I first went here about 3 years ago. Then ,the food was dry and overcooked. This time the food that I had was much better. Although it was steak Tuesday, they was sold out of anything from the grill menu, and this was only 12 oclock dinner time. Every other wetherspoons I have been too have been great.

A very busy Wetherspoons during holiday times. But hey still manage to bring the food to the table in good time. Tables cleared quickly by the staff. Food was cooked well and wraps and pizza nice and hot

Me and my friends have come here fairly often. This is because the food and drink are for the most part very good, the atmosphere is great and the servers are very friendly. But unfortunately, today we believe that must come to an end due to an incident that happened today with your manager.To preface this, I would like to provide you with some context.When we arrived at our table, there were tons of empty glasses present, left there by the previous customers, of which we had to clear ourselves (this is not where the issue arises. we understand staff have a lot to deal with so we are happy to help out). Due to this, our table was wrongfully locked from ordering any more drinks.Not knowing our table was locked, we ordered a ton of food and drinks which never came. Admittedly, one of my friends accidentally ordered to table 74 instead of 73, so we understand that, initially, that would look pretty sketchy to the manager (it probably looked like we were trying to circumvent the issue of not being able to buy more alcohol)After bringing this to the attention of staff multiple times, the manager came to our table and (without the knowledge of the context of the situationtold us they would not serve us any further nor refund us. We would have fully understood his decision to kick us out, under the premise that we genuinely were in the wrong. But, as I have explained here, we weren’t, and your manager wouldn’t allow us to get a single word in edgewise to explain the situation to him. As soon as he arrived at our table, right off the bat, we were met with anger, ignorance and complete unwillingness to hear us out (probably because we’re teenagers and teenagers unfortunately have a bad rep for these type of things)Eventually, we got refunded, so that is good atleast, but this experience most certainly has left a bad taste in our mouths.To wrap this up: great food, great service from staff, great atmosphere, BAD and unprofessional management.We suggest that if you want to improve your customer experience, that next time, the manager adopts a more calm and collected attitude and allows people to make their case (as opposed to adopting an aggressive demeanour right from the get-go). What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Everything you expect from a Wetherspoons. Food came quick considering how busy they were. Staff friendly. Toilets half a mile of corridors away.

Good outside area close to seafront. Very long queue at bar but used the app and food and drink arrived very quickly. Carol the waitress was the shining light amongst an unhelpful staff, she worked hard but was always smiling and had a friendly word for everyone.

You dont go here for food as it is pretty poor , quite offended cold or lukewarm, its all about speed to them , get orders. out of the kitchen within 10 minutes. The only good point with Wetherspoons in general is the price of the beer.

I mean its weatherspoons, cheap and cheerful. I was mortified sitting down eating food and next to the table we were sat at, just above on the higher level next to the bar they had all the bins against the railing scraping the left overs into them. We was splashed by some bean juice hence us moving. Pretty grim really, I have never seen this happen in other chains. Overall a nice place, plenty of room, toilets located upstairs, coffee machines and friendly staff.

In fairness its a bit more than OK. Problem is... Its still hit and miss. Long queues at the bar sometimes, other times served straight away. Sometimes like crazy mad, other times good and relaxed. I wont bad mouth this place, because dispite the occasional problem.... Its still a good place to go. Comfortable and friendly. Good value Wetherspoon.

Lovely atmosphere! Food was nice! Staff are very busy and helpful!First time we was served, the cod and chips dish was not up to standards, but was quickly rectified with a different dish on the menu and was very satisfied!Second visit we ordered the same Chicken Wings and Chips dish after trying to order the recommended dish of the day which was Curry Dishes, as several attempts to order online was saying that the Curry Dishes was finished but when we spoke to one of the Staff they said there was plenty in the kitchen! Clear error on the online site!Toilet was a trek from the restaurant area, hard work for those with any difficulty in their mobility, as we did witness several people struggling going up and down the stairs leading to the restroom area as we was seated next to the stairs! Not sure if these persons were aware of any other disabled toilet access!

Usual Spoons to be honest. Large a little dark inside due to low ceiling. Toilets a long way from seating area (like a lot of Spoons). Staff friendly and polite. Only real downside breakfast was a little cold, yet I was sitting less than 20ft away from serving area. I know I could have complained but only had 1/2hr to eat. Before train departed. All in all its a Spoons.

Plenty of tables but VERY busy. I had to wait for a table, but luckily, not for long. Only a few tables at the bottom of some stairs on entrance. No wheelchair access that I could see to go up to the next level, so seating is hard if it is full.Toilet on very top level, lots of stairs to go up!Staff were really friendly. Food and drinks arrived quickly.

A really nice and cozy place. Plenty of space inside and tables also in the back garden. Very extensive menu, from breakfast to dinner at absolutely reasonable prices. The choice of beers is very wide. At the table you can order and pay with a special mobile app or simply go to the bar. The right place to stay, alone or with friends 👍

Good place to eat and drink. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Comfortable surroundings so will definitely be back.

A large almost Seafront Spoons. Plenty of seating and an area of the back with extra seating in the park area. Busy but served quite quickly. Had food here before and its usual decent Spoons standard. Service was good, the Ale was well presented and excellent. Often stop in on a coastal walk, no parking but there is limited public parking.

Arrived late pm for a snack type meal .The pub was busier than we expected. 2 local customers jumped up and gave us their table for 6 as there were 8 of us. They sat in a smaller table that was a bit squashy to be honest. It was extremely kind of them.3 of us got a small table nearby. Later removed a 4 table on the end of the 6 table to be seated together. The food arrived hot and tasty and fast . We chose 9 of the small plates( 3 lots of 3 ). It was super Then my daughter tried to move her chair closer to be able to eat easier. The chair seat flew away from the bottom of the chair and a staple went through her finger. We asked the waitress for a first aider. A guy arrived called Ashley (?). He was kind and helpful. He dressed her finger and took details for an accident form. We hope that the finger will be ok. We were a little disappointed that no Manager came to see us. No one offered us a free drink (?). It was their chair after all. I felt someone in charge should have at least come across to view the damage. Ashley told us to enjoy the rest of our day.

Even though I miss The Isaac Merritt pub, this one has plenty of outside space to sit in the sun and is bigger. The staff are very efficient and professional. A shame about noisy, dirty kids dropping food on the floor and seats (parents not picking it up). I prefer a pub to have no kids under 11, but thats the modern way!! The beer choices are great and the prices are brilliant. Well done to the hard working staff.

Had a lovely meal here, the pub was ean and well run. Service was really quick, ordered through the app which was really easy. Food was well cooked and tasty with good portion sizes.

Exactly what you expect - really cheap - two pints for £5.04 - I had the beef Madras and chips - the food was delicious - great position backing out on the park - excellent quality and really good price

If youve been to a weatherspoons before youll know what to expect, cheap beer and cheap food...its located in the heart of Paigntons entertainment area i.e arcades, food outlets and many pubs and shops.. Very busy at peak times but they have a quick turn around so ideal for a quick bite or drink 👍
