Description
Privilege
I love this place!
Beautiful beach. To many bracelet sellers and hair braiders hitting you up. Other than that it was a cool place.
MorePublic beach with lots of services. Very safe and quiet. Its the best place in the island to stay if you arent a "resort kind of tourist".
MoreMy family spent a few days here. Lots of native culture and great places to eat. Loved the beach and swimming in the ocean.
MoreThis is my favorite place in Roatan. On Saturday nights its a great blend of locals and tourists and EVERYONE is having fun. Come make new friends, eat great food (from street tacos to fine dining), listen to music or make your own at Karaoke. Beach access if you just want to relax. Little shops everywhere! There is always something fun to do in West End.
MoreWest end is a village, composed with a mixture of expats and locals with a suitable lifestyle, rentable infrastructure and demanding ecosystems.Expats; Long term residents and long terms vacationers.Locals. Adhere natives, natives and creoles mostly ingles speaking, caribs and Spanish.
MoreBeautiful calm, crystal clear waters. Lots of fishes too. Roatan is just gorgeous!
MoreGreat places to drink and hangout. Also great food everywhere! Check out Franks Hideaway. Best crowd. I highly recommend West End...... See you there!!!!!
MoreBeautiful place to go snorkel, you find everything here... local garifuna culture, food, safety and friendly people. Lot of restaurants with delicious menus and natural drinks.... the perfect place to be

MorePleasant beachfront village with a bit of a backpacker / surfer vibe (at least to me). Home to a chocolate factory located above a store selling both the product and delicious cakes & cookies made using it.
MoreIt has a great appeal to the young and old. Great restaurants line both on and off the water.
MoreOver priced but glad its there.
This place is amazing. And the sun set are dreamy 😍
Blue beach, the best reef close to the shore. Several dive shops, visit the most unique Coconut Tree Dive Shop. You can find a place on Henrys place apartments, Sea Breeze Hotel, Georphies hotel. For early coffee, Caníbal Café best breakfast great for Mexican good. 10 minutes to the End you can find a Beach bar Called Titas Pink Sea Horse ask for onion rings and monkey lalas. Best sea food restaurant Lily Pond House. If you like chicken stop by Dolas Rostiserie an exquisite creole flavor. Dont forget to take a boat tour, Look for Captain Davis at Chillaxing tours, educational island tour. There are many convenience stores, if you need more than supplies pass by Woodies supermarket. Locals are friendly and have been mingle with expats creating a sweet cosmopolitan cultura.
MoreYou feel like you actually could live here people are great!!
Absolutely delicious food, service, and atmosphere. Loved this place. Food was top notch.
MoreNice area of shops and eateries.
Cute village worth walking through if staying on West Bay, short water taxi ride, lots of local shops with souvenirs and food
MoreI love the entire island! From Coxenhole to Oakridge and everything in between. I love that there are no chains on the island. I was disappointed to see a brand new Wendys. I dont want Roatan becoming anything like Florida or Cancun. As for now it is still amazing and there is lots to see and do. Snorkel at Half Moon Bay or eat at Sandy Buns!! Great place!! Well be back for a 3rd visit! Whatever you do, book a tour with Cleves Adventures!!!
MoreThis is the place that I take the people for walking on the village, visit the souvenirs shops and the Chocolate Factory with LETS GO ROATAN TOURS
MoreMr. Bush & his wife still own the public hospital & the local square. We had enough time to get caught up for the last 2 years.I talked to most everyone in the square and they all had the need to re-express how much Mr. & Mrs bush means to the locals and the absoult love and respect that the whole island has for this two, salt of the earth humans.Nothing new to me, but was new to me was that Mr. Bush told all the square businesses that because of covad, they could not open their doors to the cruise lines that they " the whole square" did not owe any money for rent during it.WOW, JUST WOW!I hugged Mr. Bush like I have never have in the 29 years I have know him & his lovely wife.I can not say enough that the Bushs, have my support and my love for ever and always.Amen!
MoreBeaches was the best. Excellent food. The wings were the best ever. Even though it rained the entire time we were there, the tour was very nice.
MoreStopped here on a cruise. Great laid back vibe, lots of restaurants and pretty spots to have a drink. Water was calm and perfect for snorkeling.
MoreA must when you travel the Caribbean. No rush. Everything is Allright..
Expectacular 🤗
West End is a true heavenly place. Relaxing and vibrant it is the most commercial area of the island with lots of bars, restaurants, diving schools and shops. There are a variety of hotels adapting to your budget but sometimes can get expensive. The beaches are incredible. Theres lots of things to do but at end of the day you can always watch the beautiful sunset with a beer.
MoreFound some fun souvenirs at the rusty fish!
Caribbean Grill is the upmost best local and authentic cuisine on the West End, Roatan. It is run by one incredible woman. It is open air and no frills. The menu changes daily as far as the protein. You always have two choices and you cannot go wrong with either. That is the hardest choice! Very affordable and with big portions. I found her through my local friends. Because, that is a constant for people that live and work there.
MoreSuper !
Roatan party Zone the place to be the best village on Roatan visit bars club restaurants resorts hotels condos cabin apartments and beaches all along West End great sunsets and fabulous views!
MoreReminds me of New Orleans a lot.......just thought they should clean up a bit better
MoreSuch a great time here. Loved the food at every place especially at Lorettas Kitchen and the Lilly Pond. Got the best tattoo from Foxy!! This is our third visit and we will be back. Fishing with Caption Regan at Caption R Charters was soooo much fun! We stayed at Half Moon Bay Cabins and Ms. Sue took the best care of us every morning with breakfast!! So yummy!! I could go on and on. Just go and experience the magic of this island.
MoreSpent about 4 days in the area, I would not have left if I didnt have adulting to do.
MoreBeautiful, clear waters, white sand beaches, just spectacular..

One of my favorite place to visit
What a great place to relax. The Tiki Cup is a wonderful coffee shop with the absolute best staff. They are so very friendly they do their best to ensure youre pleased and that the coffee perfect for you.
MoreIt so beautiful and safe the only bad thing is the curfew
Low key, great restaurants and souvenir shops!
Beautiful beach, warm water, white sand, friendly locals, tons of places to sit and enjoy a meal or drink, souvenir shops, diving etc... It doesnt get bored in West End.
MoreLove the beach and the friendly locals, amazing local food and heard the place is even better later at night!
MoreGreat area of Roatan, it was low season when we were there so pretty much had the area to ourselves. Lots of little shops and bars/restaurants nearby and friendly locals.
MoreCool places to grab drinks, food and gifts with nice sunset and water views.
Very enjoyable, relaxing stay with all the amenities in a laid back style across a highly diverse community. We enjoyed the snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, dining, strolling, sunning, and deep sea fishing. Get out early in the morning, around 5am for the best results.
MoreGreat island town vibe with good variety of restaurants and shops.
This is a standard tourist spot on Roatan island in Honduras. There are many tee shirt and gift shops throughout this area. There are also many restaurants and bars. I especially like the street side cooking with its wonderful aromas. Unfortunately, many, not all, of the businesses are not handicapped accessible. There are stairs at the entrance so beware. There is little to no parking, but you probably either stayed there or took a water taxi ride there, so it doesnt really matter.
