White cabanas accent this cool rooftop bar featuring creative Peruvian-Japanese fare & ocean views.
The South Beach spot is definitely a must. During the daytime its great Vibes with amazing food the service and the team is on point. They are friendly and attentive and enjoy generally getting to know you. It can be a little tricky finding your way to the elevators and gaining access to the rooftop so be sure to seek out staff to get access to the rooftop.
This is my second time visiting. Stays pretty busy doesn’t matter the day of the week. Food was amazing. Service was a 10/10. And the vibe and environment was perfect. One of my favorite places to have dinner at in Miami Beach.
Found this place on Google and wanted a nice outside experience for dinner. This restaurant didn’t disappoint! From the atmosphere to the food to the drinks to the impeccable service! We had guacamole to start, sushi for dinner and the dulce de leche dessert. Every item was great. The guacamole is good but try something a little less common. There is so much to choose from. Our server was so amazing. Every drink we had was great except for the first one my husband got. I can’t remember the name but it was supposed to be made with Japanese whiskey and tasted like a really minty mojito. Not his favorite. But everything else was amazing. Highly recommend trying this out. Price point is about the same as most places for Miami Beach.
Very nice rooftop and not too busy on a Sun night! The atmosphere was great, but the staff were just ok!We didn’t have reservations and they gave us a hard time for a table, even though they had at least 5 empty tables (and they remain unused by the time we were leaving)! In general, I would go there for the roof top experience and enjoy a nice night with a good company, but not necessarily for the food! The food was good, but the staff didn’t check on us as often as you would expect!
We went there for a friend birthday and we had some surprises. In the salad next to the steak we had hair not only one, we call someone to talk but only a busser came, and he told me that the waitress will fixed, but nothing happened. Then we ordered shots, 40 mins until they came and wasn’t soo busy. The views are amazing and the music is fire!!! More than 3 stars I can’t give them for the food and service.
Came for a Bachelorette dinner, with the bride being a huge foodie. Outstanding service, food, and environment. We ordered two pitchers of different drinks, and that gave the seven of us enough to each have a glass. Highly recommend the edamame and brusselsprouts for appetizers. I really liked the Acebichado Roll (pictured), but also heard high praise and recommendations for the WATR Roll and Chicken Yakisoba Noodles from the other girls!
Great ambience but the cocktails were just ok. Sushi was par, overall go for the scene but eat first and drink a beer.
Perfect rooftop restaurant for anytime of the day or night. Reservation recommended. Exceptional service and the food was delicious.
Spencer, youre the best!! Thank you for your service, and your awesome photo skills. The Watr Roll without the tuna was delicious!
*UPDATE* Originally I gave a 1 star review after having my card charged twice for the same lunch and getting no response or help from the management when I called. I finally did get a response from the general manager there and he’s been extremely kind and helpful in resolving this mistake. Amazing customer service, thank you so much. We will definitely recommend this restaurant and be back.
Amazing views and atmosphere day or night and there are lots of nice sitting areas to relax with your preferred level of shade. You can belly up to the bar, get cozy in a day bed overlooking the skyline, sit out on the open patio area or get a table. The seating options, not to mention the pool!!!, allow you to experience the space differently each day and night if youre staying at the hotel for a few days. We stayed during a tropical storm, so pool access was closed off, but Watr at the 1 Rooftop was still the place to be at night. As for food, the Watr sushi roll is delicious with warm tempura shrimp in a sort of dragon roll. We also enjoyed the Watr salad; it was really refreshing. Both entrees came very quickly and were really impressive in presentation and taste.
Nigiri + Sashimi was great! The Lucuma Tres Leches Mousse was such an interesting take on tres leches and it was delightful.Jimmy was phenomenal as our waiter, so friendly and attentive.
Very friendly server and delicious (but expensivefood.Amazing view of the city of Miami.Had one of their signature desserts and it was very good.Would definitely return for a date night.
This was a total WOW experience. Highlight of the evening was seeing Lebron James in the lobby, everything after that was an icing on the cake .Watr restaurant at the 1 Hotel Rooftop is an upscale rooftop restaurant offering Peruvian style Japanese cuisine. Food, atmosphere, and service was a 10/10.Everything we ordered tasted amazing and had such interesting flavors ! My favorites were the Salmon Nikkei, Papas Criolo, and crispy Brussels sprouts. That salmon was melting in my mouth and the sauce was incredible. The papas (potato criollo was also delicious and you can just keep on eating it. Every dish was better than the next. You can’t get a better view of the ocean than here! Love the rooftop view, the beautiful pool and the lovely plant life and decor. Wonderful experience!!!!The service was exceptional. Our server was so attentive and made such great recommendations.Make reservations and dress up for a lovely dining experience at Watr! You will be blown away.
Great vibe. Staff are great. Seating outside the bar is only for hotel guests.
The biggest drawback is that the restaurant becomes unusable when it is windy and raining. We (and many other customershad to leave due to a storm. The staff confirmed that this happens quite frequently - at the same time, management could easily install windows or canvas which can be raised to protect guests. As the roof is already covered, you would not lose an open-air atmosphere.Menu is fairly limited. The saving grace was staff who were able to deliver our food to the hotel lobby where we could eat.Probably a good place on a dry night to have a drink and then venture on to dinner somewhere else.
Pros-Lots of vegan optionsVery good for the ocean view, very lively.Accumulative of changes in reservationCons-Service was quite slow.We could not find parking, had to do valet parking at the hotel
The waiter was great. He stopped by many times to make sure we were OK. The food was even better. I had the spicy tuna roll. It was fresh and tasted so clean. The environment was awesome as well. Outdoor seating with a great view.
Getting up here was an adventure.. Prices were out of control, at least twice as much as any other bar. The ambiance was very warm though. The aesthetic is inviting, so was the pool but it was closed
Very nice dining spot! Make sure you reserve a real dining table for your dinner and not one of their pool/lounge spots which has no room for dinner plates. Reasonable pricing for the quality of food and view you get :)
Great vibes at the 1 Hotel rooftop pool and restaurant, WATR. Service is spectacular. The music and decor set the perfect ambiance for a chill or elevated mood. Absolutely recommend staying at 1 hotel.
One of my favorite locations in South Beach -My husband and i shared a week at The 1 Hotel and frequented their rooftop lounge Watr numerous times in our stay. Wevesince visited twice to enjoy the ambiance, scenery, and Asian-inspired cuisine. The lounge offers a variety of views out ontosouth beach, a wading pool in the center, and a selection of ‘reservable private cabanas (photo includedfor a more intimate environment. If youre looking for a beautiful dinner experience,Watr is a wonderful choice. My one and only complaint is the lounges volume. For many, their live-dj provides a great atmosphere for the mood of the majority of the crowd - however, if youre looking for a quieter, morerelaxed environment to conversate, i would suggest earlier in the day rather than later as the crowd and music can quickly changethe overall experience.Overall - incredible view, beautiful lounge, and good food. Will definitely be back.
Was lucky enough to celebrate my 30th birthday at WATR and even luckier we got Augustina as our waitress. She made the evening special along with Robvesha who made sure we got a great view of the beach. She was attentive, kind and did a great job with not only us but all her tables. Her drink and food recommendations were spot on and delicious. She even took the time to take a picture for a guest and make sure they enjoyed their time.Thank you for making this birthday so memorable.Highly recommend the Brusselsprouts, cevice, poke bowl and the dragonfruit cocktail.
The atmosphere and vibe here is super cool. I loves the fresh air and rooftop scene. The bar is great. The food is delicious. The drinks are on point. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Highly recommend you try this place. Probably one of the best restaurants in Miami. Will for sure come back.
Very exotic place. Food was delicious, Cassandra was very attentive. Drinks were... Good enough. I waited over an hour for a table since I didnt have a reservation.
Sunday night when its a bit "quieter", not! Great place to people watch but dont miss the remarkable nikkei cuisine (Peruvian Japanese). Service 8s attentive and accommodating.
Fun vibe and pretty good food. I really liked the ceviche. Only complaint is that the seating arrangement was awkward - we had a bigger group and thought we would be at a table, but instead we were on two couches and practically had to eat our food on our laps.
First time visit to Miami. This place was classy and I would definitely visit here again! Braden was an excellent bartender and made some great recommendations for us for our visit! Beautiful pool on the rooftop to sit around. Highly recommend!
The staff treat you in a way to make you uncomfortable. I saw them doing such behaviour to other customers as well. They are walking around like they are the bosses forgetting who is spending the cash and paying for salary. I also put a photo of myself to show the readers that I am decent a guy and the place is even below my standard.Anyways, food was really good we ordered sushi. Cocktails were very creative but not everyone would necessary like them. View is also top notch and very amazing.BUT, I would never go there ever again because of the culture of the company. I am sure more customers will be complaining about staff being snobs soon or later.
Fancy bohemian rooftop bar. Small delicious eats and drinks. Pricey but the ambiance and atmosphere are with it
Never fails to disappoint!!The food is amazing and the waitstaff are so kind and offer fantastic recommendations. Got the ceviche to start and it’s fresh and well seasoned. The Yakisoba noodles and the truffle scallop roll are must haves.Tried the Watr roll and the vegetarian roll for the first time and both were very good. Was in town celebrating a birthday and they brought out a lovely mousse for desert. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, it’s perfect for a date night and you cannot go wrong.
Went here for my birthday and unfortunately did not have a good time at all. In spite of having made a dinner reservation nearly a month in advance, it was plain to see that our reservation was not prioritized in the slightest. Our party of 9 was initially seated at 2 separate tiny coffee tables, then moved to a cabana also with a low table far out of reach to eat dinner from. It was sad because we did see other large parties seated at tables pushed together even though management said they were putting us there because they couldn’t accommodate large parties (would have been nice to know that in advance). When we asked for a chair because it was too hard to squish 9 people on 2 small couches they said they didn’t have any and our server didn’t return for a half hour. In fact, he never returned at all and one of my friends ended up asking someone else if we could order some drinks and food. Our new server said she couldn’t concentrate on us because she was busy accommodating other tables so our drinks and food took extremely long to come out. For an 8:30pm reservation we didn’t receive our food until after 10 and didn’t leave until 11:30, not because we were having a wonderful time but because we kept having to wait for anyone to come back to our table. We got so tired of waiting I went to ask for the check myself and then when we got the check, we were overcharged for items they had told us they were out of stock in. I cannot comprehend spending so much money for an all around awful experience, and I’m disappointed that I spent my birthday here.
Had a great time at Watr Rooftop. Had the charred octopus & tres leche moose and both were delicious. The views are breathtaking! Our hostess, Jillian made our time there more pleasant & was very helpful. Will definitely go again. 🙂
Pros: great view, tasty food. Cons: slow and not so great service. Half of what we ordered arrived after we already done eating. For lunch We ordered 4 apps, 4 entrees and 5 drinks, paid $270. See photo.
Parking here is valet for $15, it’s not really a quiet vibe but it has a very nice ambiance. It’s an outdoor restaurant so carry a light jacket on a colder day. The food and drinks came out very quickly, it’s more like tapas. I got the watr roll, extremely tasty. Price for the portions are debatable, I think slightly overpriced but you’re also paying for a good vibe. The staff is very friendly and ensure you have everything you need. It’s good for a night out with friends or a casual date night nothing too intimate. I would come here again with friends.
Amazing night vibe, music is awesome, environment is wholesome and organic . Will always come back. Jimmy our server was awesome. Drinks were great. Loved the bathroom views
Great rooftop spot in Miami. Great views from the top, but also Great comfortable furniture to relax in poolside. Numerous cabanas and lounge areas to hang out late into the evening. Restrooms on the roof are great and gender neutral, making it quite inclusive. Dig this spot, as does Drake, because we saw him there while we visited
This was the first place I’ve ever been where I experienced actual rich people. I felt so out of place it was insane. The service was great, food was great, drinks were great…the atmosphere…unmatched. Incredible views. Adorable rooftop, literally SCREAMING high society. It’s literally on top of one of the most expensive hotels I’ve ever heard of. I mean if you can afford to go and you like Japanese food, you need to go. This place makes me wish I had a sugar daddy.
Atmosphere is really goodCharred octopus was amazingServer Daniela was very helpful friendly and great service and every staffs here is nice
Great ambiance. Smaller menu but really good. Get the brussel sprouts. You will not be disappointed. The views are stunning. Very chic and Miami vibe.
Brunch has become a regular on our weekends now. We are always in search of new brunch spots with great drinks and amazing food. Watr did not disappoint. We walked into the lobby of the 1 Hotel and was mesmerized. The ambiance is very inviting and the staff is attentive and welcoming. We made our way to the roof and was mesmerized. Felt like we walked out of a hotel onto a carribean vacation getaway. There was a bar to the left and various seating types to the right. There were tables, booths, and even couches depending on the type of experience you were looking for. Our table wasnt ready so we started by having a drink at the bar. Before we even got through half of our drink we were seated. Our server Dylan was great and always tended to our needs. Order the Island Time cocktail, you wont be disappointed. We ordered the ceviche which was different and delicious. We went with the charred octopus next, and rounded out the food with a Watr Roll and the Truffle Scallop roll. The best dish of the day was the charred octopus. If youre looking for a unique brunch spot with great photo spots look no further
The most memorable of all the restaurants we visited in Miami. The yakisoba noodles were my favorite item on the menu. Can’t wait to come back here.
Food was great, cocktails were also very good, the atmosphere and view were fantastic, but the highlight was our server Matthew who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs! Will definitely visit in the future.
Watr was great! My husband and I went for a special dinner on our honeymoon. The rooftop is beautiful and the staff was helpful in moving our seats when a storm was getting some of the tables around the edges wet (it’s a good set up for the most part, just small openings between the roof and the wall let a little bit of rain in during a pretty intense storm). We got the ceviche as an appetizer and the octopus and truffle lobster sushi for our meals. I was dreaming of the sushi for weeks. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The drink menu is great and the bartenders are also happy to make you a custom drink based on their expertise and what you like as well.
Food and service were great!! We got the watr roll and the truffle roll. Both were so good and delicious. We also got the steak bowl and LOVED it. Full of spices and flavor. Wish we lived near by, would be here every week.
Literally the BEST view in Miami! You feel like your at the beach without actually being on the beach! The rooftop is an experience not to be missed, and the service was impeccable! We had a vegan and meat burger and they were both tasty! But omg the TRUFFLE fries!!! Get them. Our server Onyx was awesome, and very patient. He was very sweet and offered to take photos closer to the pool when we walked over. I will be back!
Had lunch with a girlfriend here it was great! The view is absolutely amazing of the ocean and south beach. It’s a very cool venue. Food and service where spot on to! We had the lobster roll and grilled octopus was my favorite and the crispy Brussels. Our server was very attentive and had some great suggestions. The manager even checked in at some point to make sure we where enjoying ourselves! Overall a great experience and will definitely be back!
This is a beautiful rooftop restaurant. The octopus dish was delicious. The sushi was very good. The cocktails from the menu were not good at all. However, the more traditional cocktails such as the Mojitos and the long island iced tea were excellent. Definitely, I recommend this place.
I will go out of my way to visit this restaurant. You will need to make reservations to avoid a wait. We chose this spot to celebrate my friends birthday. First thing that took me away was the first of two entrances - 1 Hotel South Beach. It smelled so amazing and the decor was amazing. There you will find a few host with tablets ready to check you in. The elevators were super high tech but once you figure that out you walk out to the restaurant entrance which was stunning. The first part is a bar under a tree full of lights surrounded by tables. Next is the pool area which has several cabanas - here is where sat. Missed the sunset but the views of Miami and the beach were beautiful. Drinks were amazing and food was delicious. This place did not disappoint.
Ambiance 10/10, the place is beautiful and the views on top of the building are great. The food was not up to the standard we expected for such a nice restaurant. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal ... got 2 sushi rolls which weren’t bad and Brussel sprouts which were really good. We got the Asian stir fry that we waited 45 min for after we received our apps and it was just not good, over spiced. Drinks were good.
