Waterworld Bundoran - Water park in Sligeach, Ireland
Great place for kids. Fun pool and slides for kids. It is better for slightly older kids who can mange the water alone, but that is just part of teh pool experience. the only problem we had was that the but changing area is so so cold! my 3 were freezing getting changed,
Great watermark, lots of new slides added this year.
Changing rooms too small for the crowds. Not enough time allocated between sessions, ie. People arrive to change as other people are leaving the pool.We visited 3 times and on the third occasion the wave pool was crazy high.Slides are nice and water is warm
Havent been here since about 15 years ago or more even. So impressed. Great parking outside is €3 per day. Prebooked tickets - got in really quickly with no queuing or waiting around. Family changing room very spacious and convenient for changing with kids. 50c for lockers. Changing area and pool areas all spotless - big staff presence in pool area and changing areas. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Two negative points - there used to be a lovely cafe where you could view the pool area and its closed. We had someone with us that hoped to sit watching us and it was only when we arrived we realized there was nowhere for her to sit & watch. Also, we used the family changing room with shower & the water was ice cold in the shower - when we tried to turn the shower to warm the water stopped! Not a very big deal as we could go to the normal showers but as far as I know this shower is for use by disabled people also so wouldnt have been good in that situation. Overall,a fabulous day out where theres something for everyone to enjoy as long as you are going into the pool.
Well worth a visit good place to spend a few hours at 11/10
Enjoy it but found it disappointing why one of the slides were closed and trying to get a dressing room was a joke
Typical post covid recoup of money,, jam as many people in as you can,, serious lack of changing facilities,, que to get in,, que to get changed,, que pretty much for everything,, as an attraction and price wise its good but wouldnt go back because of the crowds
I have been going to waterworld since I was a child and have had many happy memories there. Today I went with my own daughter and brother and I am completely shocked that our bags were removed from cubicles by a lifeguard whilst we were in having a shower. We left our bags in lockers the whole time we were swimming and only removed them to a cubicle to go and have a shower. I returned to my cubicle to discover it locked and my bag gone. I panicked, as all my personal belongings including phone and wallet were in it, and asked the person that came out of the cubicle if they had seen the bags. They told me that a customer had asked a lifeguard to remove our bags from the cubicles. There were no visible signs to say that bags would be lifted by staff if they were left in cubicles (mine was in a cubicle for 5 minutes max). The policy was not clear so I did not know what to do or who to ask when my bags were removed. Me, my 8 year old daughter and brother were left standing in our bathing suits for over 10 mins waiting for our bags to come back to us.This is not good enough as staff should not be able to touch bags without consent. I will never be backFurthermore, the lack of facilities and viewing areas are a joke
Customers personal items should not be removed from cubicles when they are in there - this means cubicles are occupied and in use. Staff should not be touching bags and moving them to another room when people are in the shower leaving them standing not knowing where they are. Belongings were in lockers for the duration of the visit and only moved to cubicles to get changed at the end of the session after having a shower but staff chose to remove them without saying anything!
Went at the 3:30pm slot mid week Aug22, good selection of rides and activities. Found the pool to be very crowded and the water very cloudy which was a little concerning. One of the slides not working but a discount is offered on account of this. Queues for the slides were kept moving and plenty of staff on hand.
We went recently with my 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son who has ASD we loved it. My son was in his element and my daughter keeps asking to go back . I havent been since I was a child , thought it was fantastic very safe and great staff .
A wonderful place to have fun with the family.
Grand place to bring children but maybe not in a bank holiday wkd.Its all go from when you get in until you get out. Wave pool few slides. Some you have to be 1.1m above to get up and they aint they great. Some staff are great but the younger staff either like to blow the whistle too much or just stand there close to sleeping position. They clean the toilet area regular which is communal as are the showers. There might be a family shower but I was not in it. Lockers take 50c coin
Great day out for all ages, so long as you are over 1.3 metres tall.
Nice place, but too crowded and some pools have pretty cold water.
Very nice fun place with good supervision. My 5 Yr old son likes it very much. Like the artificial wave and the water slides.
Great value for a couple of hrs fun. Was busy but queues moved fast for slides. Lifeguards and staff friendly. Changing room area can be manic though on change over of slots.
Amazing place so much for all age 😍
Absolutely amazing! One of the best waterparks Ive been to, great staffed so kind and helpful.
Used to come here as a child and now I was so excited to take my own kids. Its just as good as I remember. Loads of fun on the slides.
Its a busy place but plenty of guards.Theyve taken the sauna away unfortunately but its allowed for more rides. The booking system works well
Good place just needs a restaurant or a place where people who are not swimming can go and with. and adult only section with a spa For those with kids that dont need adult supervision.
Visited waterworld today with our 3 kids we had the best time, all the lifeguards were lovely and very helpful, clean changing areas.
Such a fun place to go with kids. The times to go in a land out are well organised. Will definitely go again
Great 2 hours spent there with our 5 year old. He could access most of the activities. Very helpful staff. Changing facilities seemed a bit cramped but we managed. Very good impression overall.
Brilliant facilities, very clean, staffed very well which is reassuring and staff are very friendly also. We loved it, age 7 and 42
Great slides!! Lots of fun for all ages!! Very busy in the changing rooms but you get into them quick enough!
Great spot. Pity large slide not open. When it is defo 5 stars
Really good place. Only down Id say is that because the changing area is so close to the reception with no doors it is absoulately freezing when you come out of the pool. My toddler was visibly shaking while I was trying to get stuff out of the locker quickly.Great slides for all ages. Manned well. Lifeguards are great. Just watch out for the kickers in the rapids who mess about holding onto the ropes. My 10 year old got 2 swift kicks to the face by some wee fella who was being ridiculous with his mates.Really reasonably priced it was €50 for family of 5 for 2 hours and 15 minutes. We left a bit early to avoid the mass crowds at call time.
Everything was great, u must book online. Changing rooms in between session was a bit bedlam but it was time had.
Disappointing, not all slides open, shower area was freezing
They said that there was space for us but when we arrived they said we had to go online to book the ticket but they never said that on the website next time they should write that
Slides were great fun, everything seemed well supervised, the timeslots could be better arranged as the changing area was bedlam.
Very bad service will not answer the phone have been trying to call the last 2 days this service needs to be sorted who ever is in charge of answering the phone no point having one if you cant answer it
Fantastic fun for all the family have to book online before hand but fantastic
Kids had a great time .. very clean and felt safe.
Excellent experience, very well organised. Cant wait to go back again.celebrated my twins 10th birthday here.
One of the best place for the whole family to spend a day in Summer. My kid enjoyed and loved it 😍Friendly staff, clean and maintained.
Great day out but very crowded, it would appear that there is no cap on the number of people admitted into it.
A really great family time place, super for all the kids with plenty of slides and very friendly and helpful staff also. Sadly the facilities are disrespected by some patrons and therefore a full time cloakroom attendant is probably required for frequent mopping out of the changing and WC areas.
It was okay. The only thing is the gravity one is dangerous the lady who went after me hurt her self badly on it. I was lucky my feet were straight or I wouldve broken my foot
A great place for a family spin out! Theyve the pool, and then Mammy had the option of going up for a seaweed bath, but she opted out in the end. The place is as busy! I went into the lazy river with the small wan, and jaysus I nealry puked inside in it, I got fierce nauseous from going around it for half an hour. The young wans loved the slides, but I got an awful fright because, at the end they furr you off into a big deep pool! They didnt tell me that before sending me off on it! I swallowed about eighteen pints of water at the bottom! And my togs nearly came off me, and I was mortified! There was also a massive spider in the changing room, and the little small wan ran out and the lifeguard nearly died from the shock. I think they gave him a slap of a mop. The wave machine is very intense... Too intense for the little wans, they had to stay away over at the little wee diddy baby bits, like the dolphin and the mushroom. But the older wans loved it, and they claimed they were too big for waterparks! HA? Tis a fantastic place for the whole family. Twouldnt be too dear either.
Great fun day out. There was a huge queue, waiting time was around 35 minutes to get in (in August). I thought because of the wait that it would be packed inside but there was still room to swim and move around and the wait for the slides wasnt too long either. The staff are polite and friendly. Family of 4 costs €46
About 47euro for 2 adults and 3 kids. Youngest kid under 3 goes free I think. Our kids were under 6 and had enough to.do but you need to have confident kids over 1.3m tall to enjoy biggest slides. Still though its kind of a must if you are staying within 20 or so miles for about a week or more.Would do again. Toddler pool is suitably warmer for really young kids.Changing areas like a free for all.Wave machine is cool but a bit mad. Feels like every person in the place goes to the wave pool at 10 mins before each hour and stays there for 10mins after each hour. Waves start on the hour every hour with 5 min warning. But in truth they might not start until 10 past the hour by the time all the safety arrangements in place.
Visited waterworld today. This review is based on a spectator experience and not one on actually using the pool and slide facilities. My husband, toddler, sister and her there children used the pool and slides and had a great time. However as a spectator with a 3 month old baby my experience was totally negative.1 to access the viewing area you have to leave the building and walk externally to the other end of the building to access it. Thankfully it was a dry day so didnt get soaked going to it.2at the viewing area there is no seating, so not very good if you have a new born and want to sit back and relax whilst enjoying watching the rest of the family have fun.3the cafe facility is very poor, there are chairs with side rail shelf, but no actual table and chairs which also makes it awkward when trying to feed a new baby.4.The area cafe & separate viewing area looked dirty and very dated. In summary, the viewing area should have seats so that you can sit and enjoy watching your family play. The cafe should have some table and chairs and the area itself needs to be tidied up..If this is Irelands premier waterpark then i would not like to see the others.
We had a great day out here, big lockers, big changing rooms, warm showers, very clean, helpful staff. Only deducting a star because the card machine was out of action as were some of the slides. Kids want to go again! Great for all ages and not a bad price for a big family day out considering it suited all of ours ages 16 down to 6. Well be back!
Totally loved it. They have 3 big slides, water was warm. If you are going there, be sure to be there before 2pm. They have waves at that time and they were really big waves. Call them to confirm the time of waves, dont know if its they change the time. Good if you want to chill out, good if you want to workout climbing up the stairs for slides or running with flow in a tornado kind of circular corridor. Baby pool for babies. Highly recommended.
Nice little park right at the beach! We had a lot of fund riding the rollercoaster and eating snacks.
Kids loved it! Lots of staff available on hand and its nice and warm. Changing rooms very clean and plenty of lockers. My son said he rates it a 10/10 and its one of his favourite places.
Great value. Loads of water slides although kids need to be 1.1 metres to go on a lot of them. Three pools, wave machine, rapids. Kids had a fab time. Loads of staff around, so even though I had two kids to look after we always felt safe. Nice clean changing areas and plenty of showers. Highly recommended.
