Waterside Hotel in Miami Beach

This hotel was very nice and clean, although I did not care for the way me and my friend were treated. We were tourists visiting this hotel thru Priceline I reserved the room for 2 nights. When I arrived at the hotel to check in there were $300 in additional hidden fees. I tried to discuss the hidden fees with the front desk rep and owner they talked down on us as if we could not afford it. when that was not the case, the case was about the $300 in hidden unexpected fees we never knew about. Also an extra $36 to park in the back of there extra small parking lot we paid for a parking spot someone had already parked in. We went back to the front desk inconvenienced to discuss this manner it ended up being the owners vehicle that we paid for parking in this spot . Very nice hotel but very bias ppl who runs this place. ALSO NO PHONES IN THE HOTEL ROOMS INCASE OF AN EMERGENCY BUT THEY EANTED AN EXTRA $300 in fees on top of the booking fee DEAL BREAKER

Good accommodation close to the ocean! Staff is polite and friendly. They decided all problems we face to. I totally recommend this hotel with good price.

We booked this hotel and when we got there they told us it was there other building. At the other building only the housekeeping staff was there when we got to the room, we had to bring it their attention that the room was not properly cleaned... there was no office at this location and we were not driving back to go to the main office. The front desk guy was very nice asking for google reviews however when he had to address the problem with the room not being cleans he was very unresponsive.to top of our initial take on this property the Fire Alarm went off at night and no one came over from the main building or any staff to let the guest know if was safe or not to stay in the building.Update: The owners reply is ridiculous as I did text them and no response was given as the person at the front desk was not responsive, after our stay we emailed them none the less we never received an answer until we went with this review. I would stay far away for this place and their bait and switch attitude, many nicer options to stay in but this is not one of them!

Stands out. As a rule I dont stay at hotels that charge a resort fee, but here its worth it. The rates are very reasonable and the amenities like a pool, free and strong internet, beach towels, etc. Staying in north beach is new for me, but I really enjoyed it.Danny, Edgar (front deskand GM Christian are cheerful and very accommodating.

Becareful when you stay in this hotel.they scam your money upon check out .Make sure when you check out call them to check your room are ok or everything in good condition. Or take a picture. They were charge me $100 for lost item such as 2 cushion and bed skirts.Thats illegal without any evidence.I check in Sept 11,2022 and check out Sep13,2022.Time 5.50 am .During upon my check out ,I went to front desk to return the key and they were closed so I call to the front desk and guy were answer me and tell me just leave the key inside my room.They should check my before I leave and also they send me the pictures which item are lost.As I know cushion is big and bed skirt are big .I just carry very small bag.They should rewind the hotel camera near by front desk.

The hotel rooms are cute, chic and modern, with a 70s decor with light fixtures. I liked that they come with plenty of cookware and utensils. There was a dining area as well. Its like we stayed in an apartment without a laundry area.There are chairs outside for you to sit to enjoy the outdoors and a swimming pool in the center of the courtyard. There are 2 lounge areas in front of the community where the front office is located.The only cons were the security deposit was $400 I never heard of such a high holding deposit for a hotel room before. There were ants in the bathroom and kitchen Im assuming because we had food in the room. The electrical outlets didnt work in the kitchen. We meant to tell the Office but kept forgetting.

Absolute worst experience. My wife and I booked this for a Miami marlins game and we ended up waking up with covid-19 the morning of our check in. We spent over 100 dollars on a one night stay. We were told our room is non refundable or non transferable. They broke the law and asked for medical documentation proving we had covid-19. We sent it over and were told the room could not be refunded nor canceled. I call the front desk to get a gentlemen who tells me the manager Christian is not on duty. Then all of a sudden 5 minutes into the call he then tells me he is Christian and he’s the general manager. Refused to help, was rude. If the gentleman I spoke to was Christian, it is very poorly ran. We just wanted our room changed for a different day, as we did not want to give anyone covid-19 and they absolutely refused.

I had such a nice experience at Waterside Hotel since I arrived up to when I left! The hotel is very well located, clean and the rooms very spacious with all you need inside and also a nice bathtub with shower, and what to say about the staff? They are all amazing people always available to help you with such a good vibe! Would like to give a special thanks to Ana that works at the front desk and helped me out a lot, besides such a good professional you are such amazing person, thank you so much and the whole Waterside Hotel team!

Our stay at the Waterside Hotel was really amazing! Danny at the reception was very kind and helpful. We had accidently booked a wrong room category but this was not a problem at all and the guys fixed it immediately. A plus is that they provide you fresh and clean towels for the beach every day!

My short stay was amazing. I was in town to watch my partners band play in Midtown. I made a mini vacation out of it booking this wonderful room steps from the beach. Check in was easy and smooth thanks to Danny and Edgar. The hospitality was just wonderful. I forgot the lovely lady who helped me have fresh beach towels, but she was also a complete rockstar.The rooms are affordable and adorable. Location is great, was able to do my beach time as well as go to museums, great dining, and obviously my partners show. Ubers we’re reasonable everywhere I needed to go!Thanks to the staff at Waterfront—I will be back! Sincerely, a girl who works at a hotel in New Orleans :)

My stay at the waterside hotel was awesome. The front desk attendant Danny was very helpful and showed great customer service and hospitality I really appreciate that. Check in was simple for me and my family. This location offers lots of restaurants and local stores, access to public transportation and anything necessary to enjoy your stay. Room was very clean, service was very attentive, and AC was great . Would definitely stay again, thank you guys.

The hotel is AMAZING for the price! I definitely will be returning often to this location for the following reasons:Pros+:- Danny at the office is a true professional to his job. He is clear and precise. Very friendly and very helpful. Definitely top reason for returning.- Hotel rooms and Hotel property (both locationsare extremely clean.- Great pricingCons --Only con is no parking at second location. However, finding parking was super easy.

Excellent place to stay, very economic option, clean, personnel very responsible and helpful, public and private parkings near to the hotel, supermarkets and as well restaurants options as well is less then a mile to the beach, from my side I think 5 stars are not enough for my experience over there.Thank you guys and I hope we can be back there on our next vacation soon.

The first night we arrived we were assigned a room we had a problem. We got to our room to find out that the door did not shut properly and therefore did not lock/close all the way. I contacted the employee who was working the front desk. After talking to two people (because the first employee could not have cared lessthey told us there was nothing they could do. They wouldn’t move us to a different room and we would have to stay there until someone arrived the next day to fix it. They told us if we were to find somewhere else to go that no portion of our stay would be refunded because we had already checked in. In addition to this, the place wasn’t even cleaned properly before we arrived. There were hairs on the towels, several crumbs and leftover trash remnants on the kitchen table, and the floors had obviously not been vacuumed. We left on the days that housekeeping was supposed to arrive to clean. They did not clean our room the entire time we were there. We ended up going somewhere to buy towels to use because even the “clean” towels they gave us were not clean. The only good thing about this place is the location. We were close to the beach,shops, and restaurants. I definitely would not stay here again and would not recommend booking it.

Booked a stay on Expedia which said I can check in at 67th OR 74th & Harding which is not the case. I arrived at 67th and had to lug my luggage in 90 degree weather to 73rd and back to check in. There is a $100 resort fee when you arrive even though Expedia said taxes and fees included. I blame Expedia for those discrepancies. I work as a day trader and my brokerage apps would not work on their WiFi. HOWEVER, the property at 67th is new, clean, quiet, close to the beach and supermarket, lovely. Even though some of the issues were not directly the fault of the hotel, Christian, the manager, went out of his way to alleviate the issues, got my apps working and made my stay pleasant, as a good manager should. I would stay here again. Thanks Christian! 👍

You get what you pay for… it doesn’t look the same as it does on the pictures of course. It was okay though. But what bothered me is that you can tell that the place wasn’t cleaned well. From the first day of my stay the floor had so much dirt and sand on it as if it wasn’t cleaned before. I also noticed that they were using a broom to sweep which makes sense because it definitely wasn’t vacuumed. The drawers there made my clothes smell pretty bad, I had to wash everything because it was just an old smell of paint. There were pots, pans, microwave so that was good.but one thing I was also upset about was that the room I was staying in was RIGHT in front of the ice machine which wasn’t mentioned or shown in the pictures. And it was directly in front of a window too. It just felt like there were people by our window the whole night/day and it sucked because it felt awkward to open the curtains and get some light in since they can see straight into the room. So that would have been nice to know in advance… or the placing of the ice machine should be changed and not right by a rooms window.

Danny greeted us in the front office with open arms, figuratively speaking. We felt welcome immediately and he made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Prices are reasonable too! The room was clean and filled with extra amenities, and the staff was always so kind and friendly. Will definitely be staying here again our next trip to Miami!

From check-in to check out the service provided was unbelievable. The staff were friendly helpful. Danny and Brian at check-in were super friendly and polite Brian was sweet enough to help us take our stuff upstairs us being women. The pool was beautiful and clear and when the staff saw have wet towels they replace them immediately with dry towels while we were at the pool . The clean the rooms were fresh and wonderful. This is our second time staying here and are looking forward to our return trip in September . We were provided a coffee maker a stove a sink a refrigerator the bathrooms are beautiful the beds are super comfortable I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay. What would I change the length of my stay I wish I could’ve stayed longer .

Staying in Miami for the first time and it’s going great! We came in at 2:30am because of late flights and Billy was a huuge help! Check in was easy and He helped us take our bags to our room. He also mentioned places to check out in town. Room has a mini kitchenette and table! Good for a long stay and the customer service to go along with it!

Waterside was a great hidden gem for our quick vacation to Miami! Danny and Brian at the front desk were excellent for our entire stay. Always helpful and courteous, friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be staying at Waterside again because of the wonderful staff and location. A block and a half from the beach and a nice cozy pool for the day! Would highly recommend!

Their website prices are awesome! Just make sure you’re not going to cancel! Lol we loved our room we stayed in the one queen sized bed downstairs and it was modern and very cute! Spacious, with a kitchenette and updated bathroom. After 3 nights we upgraded to a larger room for the same price with two Queen sized beds! Loved it! Lots of windows! Close to the beach, free street parking, took the trolley to the sister property for free happy hour! Ask for Danny for affordable tours!

The room was clean and comfortable , they have a small stove for cooking and a microwave.The building type is Art Deco and the interior 1960 mix with modern .The staff at the Waterside, Danny and Anna are very welcoming and always are attentive .I have stayed there many times and it always feels like home.

It is close (walking distanceto shops, restaurants, groceries and the beach. I loved that. Theres a jitney that runs right outside the hotel. The room was clean but there was an odor (musty/stalethat didnt go away at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a kitchenette area with dinnerware (this was unexpected but welcomed).

Had a really nice stay! Danny and Brian were very accommodating upon check in. The suites are adorable and very comfortable. Pool was great! Location is close to beach and some shops. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Staff was excellent,, rooms was nice. Now i will admit they couldve been cleaned a lil better, but no bugs, and the bathroom has a window in it and at night time the rooms are bright. They have a swimming pool up to 4ft and soft music playing outside the hotel which never bothered me. Overall it was nice. Publix is a 6min walk, restaurants are a block away and has CVS and Walgreens block away. Beach is not far at all and busline if you need it. Very convenient to everything and South Beach is 10mins away.

If I could give it 0 starts, I would. I came to this hotel with my boyfriend and the first room they gave me had bugs all over the bed and pillows. I was switched to a different room that had the same problem and on top of that the sheets were dirty. I have called this hotel 3 times to try to get my money back and they gave me a number to call corporate which doesn’t even work. I ended up going to a different hotel that costed me twice the price. This ruined my entire vacation. If you see this hotel, run the other way.

We stayed for a few days during the Easter holiday and the entire family (two adults, two kids 10&12enjoyed being close to the beach, the Ocean drive area while have a large comfortable, clean room decorated in line with the maritime atmosphere. Kids liked having the pool just up front. The staff was particularly kind and we would like to extend special gratitude to Brian who patiently assisted us in getting the Nintendo Switch shipped to Europe after our son had forgotten it in the room. Highly recommend 🙌

Location is cool, really good restaurant around the corner, Venezia grill. Wouldn’t allow us to do late check out, bathroom was not cleaned well. There was hair on the walls and in tub, along with the floor needing to be swept. Washer in room was out of service. Room is not on same property as office, after paying for parking at one location we had to drive 10 minutes up the street to our room and pay to park again. The room was cute just should have been cleaned better. Would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay here, it was close to the beach, grocery store, and restaurants. My mom and I stayed at the new property which had good amenities, spacious rooms, clean and quiet. Christian was very helpful and made our stay welcoming and comfortable.The downside was the poor customer service from South Beach Group. First, they charged us for the night my flight was cancelled, then they gave away my booking. Dealing with them via email, they took no accountability. If it wasnt for Christian going the extra mile, I wouldnt have had accommodation.Thank you Christian for all that you did.

Terrible customer service and unhealthy living conditions. I stayed at the Waterside Hotel for a week. There was significant mold in my room for the first two days before any staff came to clean it up. Even after it was cleaned, the room smelled heavily of chlorine and chemicals for the rest of the stay. We were told by the manager, Christian, we would be compensated for our troubles and he would refund the resort fee. We requested multiple times for him to reach out to us, going to the front desk every day of our stay, leaving a note, emailing and calling several times, and did not hear back until 2 weeks later that he would actually not refund us as he promised.

This place is a small hidden gem , its close to the beach with several places nearby to enjoy . What made the stay smooth was the amazing customer service from the gentleman Billy. He made our stay here feel homey and comfortable. He was very kind to us and went above and beyond .

The floors were full of sand and there were hairs everywhere. Bedlinen also had hairs and stains on it. Looks like the floors were not washed at all between guests.Especially the floors in the bathroom were dirty, and the toilet bowl also.The kitchen table was sticky.Right after we checked in, we wrote an email (never got a replyand called several times, after the first call we were told that the staff will check it out and call back,obviously, no one ever called or wrote back. Several hours later we called again, and were assured that staff will do room service first thing the next morning.But neither the next morning nor ever we got any room service. I had to clean the bathroom myself.On the second and third days of our stay, Wi-Fi was not working (we also asked our neighbours in the hotel, they had the same issue).Since I had to work on my computer on those days, I had to pay out of my pocket for a data sim-card.I must say I never had such a poor (non-exstingservice even in 1-star hotels.

Horrible Service!!!! I made a reservation for 2 nights, but I decided to stay one more night so I call them (talked to Dannyand he told me I was able to extend one more night in both rooms so I went to the beach, that night when I arrived at the hotel they told me I that there was not any available room. He told me to go next morning to talk with manager (Christopher)(was in his day offand he would do something, I went next morning and i was told the manager was in his day off too so i had to leave the hotel. Also I was charged twice by mistake and I talk to the manager and he told me I would have my money back next morning and that didnt happened after 4 days. Rooms are dirty, coffee maker, microwave and washer/dryer didnt work. I would never be back

If you’re hesitating to book this hotel, let this be a sign.. TO BOOK IT. This hotel was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better stay honestly. The room was super clean, the beds were clean, the room itself was very modern. The pool was amazing, the staff was extremely helpful. The hotel was close to a lot of things including the beach, cvs and some restaurants. What tops it off is the amazing price. Literally you would NOT regret it, and I would recommend this hotel to EVERYONE. There’s two locations, and I was in the 6755 location (to be specific). Will be booking again!

Hotel housed me and my immature friends perfectly. Cleanliness could use some work, but wasnt expecting much given the price. Location was fantastic. The best part, however, was the front desk worker Brian who helped us through every hurdle given we were three 18 year olds on our first vacation. His patience was outstanding. Give bro a raise.

Bryan and Edgar gave us a warm welcome, after we arrived. Check-In was uncomplicated although we arrived hours before regular Check-In time.The room was very clean and comfortable. We were surprised by the size of it, as it had plenty of space, weve had not expected. Restaurants, Bars and Shops are a 5-minute walk away, so is the beach!Due to the Location, big and clean room, very friendly personal and a very fair rate, we can highly recommend this Hotel!

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Especially Brian was very friendly and professional! We had a few problems with our credit card and he did his best to find a solution for us.The room was big and nice, the beds were comfortable.One minus point is that the bathroom was not cleaned properly. There were some hairs on the floor and on the towels and you could see from the toilet seat, the showerhead and the curtain rail that the cleaning is done superficially and not with the right cleaning supplies. But except for that it was very good and I would book it again.
