Waterfall Bluff - Tourist attraction in Port Saint John's, South Africa
Beautiful
Beautiful place
Magnificent and Majestic views. It is a bit of a walk but well worth it for the most memorable sites.
One of the best waterfalls in South Africa and one of a few that fall directly into the Ocean. Truly a stunning area. The waves that crash along these rugged cliffs are super high making this whole trip memorable and incredible. A 4x4 is recommended to get to this place but a vehicle with high ground clearance can possibly make it if you drive carefully.
Waterfall Bluff is one of seven waterfalls in the world that literally drops, not flow gently, falls/drops into the ocean. What makes this place more amazing and a great experience is the fact that you have to park your 4x4 across the lagoon, take only the clothes, toiletries and food you need and walk through the lagoon to the wood cabins. There are locals that can help carry for a small fee. No cellphone reception means that everyone chat and cook together. Keep your belongings safe in the cabbins or on you, one person in our group lost his wallet which was in the cabin the whole time and it miraculously appeared after we left. Worth going!!!!!
Just wow!Need offroad vehicle to get to start of trail.
Such a beautiful spot. So much more beautiful in person. Just wow! Was lucky enough to be there on low tide and be able to jump in the ocean and have a shower under the waterfall itself. Makes you feel very alive!
Die is een van die plekke wat jy MOET gaan besoek. Woorde kan dit nie beskryf nie en fotos vertel nie die hele verhaal nie
Absolutey spectacular
This was the highlight of our holiday. And easy 5km walk from Luphathaba. Better to go with a guide the first time. Youll need at least a 4x2 to get to Luphathaba and potentially a 4x4 in summer when it rains. Soak in the views, the peace and the absolute awe of mother nature at her best.
Serine
An amazing waterfall on the wild coast, the falls end directly into the sea. Various routes to reach the falls, but it uncludes a hike of around at least 3,5 km, depending on where you start from. We chose a shorter hike, but that means you need a 4x4 vehicle to reach the starting point, as the road is very slippery and wet. Very much worth the effort!
Beautiful scenic hike and viewing
Beautiful hike!!
Wow! Is the best word to describe Waterfall Bluff. So beautiful and unspoilt
It was a long walk, but well worth it! The scenery on the way was breathtaking! A tip for photographers, go in the morning to have the sun from the back!:)
Not an easy hike, but its worth it,make sure to get a guide, there are no markings/signs to guide you to the waterfall.
Nature at its best...Gods country
It is a stunning place! The sea, rock & waterfall is Awesome 😀
To be seen, visit Mbotyi Mountain Bush Camp
Another wonder of nature, one of two waterfalls of 20 in the world that fall directly into the sea, and we have both of SAs within +-5 km of each other here right on our doorstep.
Few will witness this extraordinary wonder of nature.
A waterfall that drops straight into the ocean!
Terrrible place too inaccessable
Tranquility on another level
True wild coast experience. Not often you see a waterfall directly going into the sea. Amazing views and chances to see dolphins and wales
Beautiful scenery. Walk the 5km there and back.Stop at the cottages and take one of the guides to walk you there. Somewhat difficult to find the way if its your first time. No signage at all. Take water and lunch and rest at the waterfall. Some fitness needed to go down or up the cliffs to see more.
An incredible incredible experience true wonder of the world, but takes a lot of effort to get there. You will need strong walking shoes a 4X4 and a local guide. Take water with you. Best to leave early as it does get pretty hot. A hat and sun screen a must. Dont forget the camera. Bird life amazing. You will be joining the cows on their morning grazing
Totally worth the long drive and fantastic walk along the scenic Wild Coast!
Awesome!!!

A wonder of nature
Amazing
An amazing waterfall! A must see! Beautiful scenery on the hike to the falls.
Walking!!! Walking!! And beautiful scenes
Had a great time sleeping in the cave to the right of the falls.
It is a 5km walk, be well prepared, even to get wet. Make sure you spend some time above the waterfall in the pools as well, lovely places to swim. When you done make sure you bath in some baby oil to get rid of the ticks...you only see them when it is to late
Stunning scenery, nice walk from the "car park"Definitely worth the walk.
