Water tower - Tourist attraction in Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Romania
Nice small exposition. Great views from top deck.
It’s a huge tower, like 27m tall. At the nice staff guy advice, I chosed to get on top of the tower using the elevator and get down on stairs and visit all levels. The view from the top is stuning!
Nice view 360 of the whole area, even found binoculars on the last floor. Can see the Danube, the Ada Kaleh island and Serbia. Must check
Visit it!Beautifully renovated tower. The view from the top is spectacular. The inside museum also very interesting.
Big potential!
Good view, nice miseum
Super
OK.
Must visit! Only 1 euro for a 360 view of the city.
Beside the Castrum Drobeta and Fortress of Severin this is a completely restored monument in the town. Is not far away from the other two main attraction points , 15 minutes walking , and it is a must if you are in town for the first time. It also hosts a small shop from where you can buy souvenirs, like fridge magnets, mugs, postcards, and other small things .
Beautiful place to visit. Sadly we were not able to see the view from the outside as all the doors were locked. You go all the way up with an elevator and then you slowly go down the stairs to visit each floor. They had some jars with pictures under water that you could bring to life through the app Artivive, showing you how life was in Ada Kaleh. The other two floors didnt have much to see. The guy at the entrance wasnt the nicest, but overall it was nice experience.
Simple and nice.
Very nice view, and the painting were amazing
Great place!!!
Its a representative monument for this city. There are not many things inside to visit but the view from the top level is wonderful. There is also a binocular and you can see the whole city and the Danube river. If you are near by, I suggest to stop here also. The tower can be visited until 8 PM.
An iconic monument that can also be visited on the inside. When we visited it, each floor hosted different art exhibits (July 2021). You can admire the city from above from the balconies found on the last floor. The visiting fee is also pretty cheap & I recommend visiting the tower!
A nice monument in the center of the city ...
Interesting ideea , liked it.
The view over the Danube and the city is beautiful :)
Closes to early for a local attraction
Best view in the city. Art exhibitions change all the time. 5 lei to get in when I went.
Great experience. The exposition of photos in jars with the app was quite interesting.
Good time spent here!!! A beautiful view....
Offers great view over the city and the surroundings. Loved the 3rd floor exhibition, its mandatory to download the app and view the live pictures. Awesome!
Quiet place, very clean surroundings. Good for an evening chat or relaxation
A nice place to visit, but there could be more things. The view is nice, though.
Nice tower, no water tho
Super cool. Visit it. You will never regret.
I love wat they did with this place is amazing, they have even a small museum inside and the view from the top is absolutely stunning
Nice building
A really nice place to visit since it was rebuilt to its former glory. It has an elevator inside and a gift/suvenir shop. For 5 Ron you can take a peek at some of its history and also of the surrounding area.
Amazing view
Interesting panorama view on Drobeta
He staf is very nice and the view is worth it, by the way ther is an elevator.
Old Town tower with panorama view. Inside museum.
An unique building with a great view!
Very nice view of the city from all the parts!Friendly staff!
Its like European Village region. Best part of Severin
Severins most striking building is the massive water tower datig from 1910. It was one of the first buildongs here to use iron in its construction. The top level of Tower provides panoramic views of the area, Drobata city and out over the Danube.
Great historical building. Very well preserved and the staff is nice and helpful.
The tower looks great, it is a place full of history. It was recently restored using E.U. fonds. The lady at the reception, it is very kind and she can provide you with historical information about the Tower (in the Romanian language). If you climb the 160 stairs up to the top of the tower (or the 4 levels with the elevator), you can have a great look over the city. There are some things that could be improved, but overall for the 5 Ron ticket, it is a good experience.
Totally amazing...its one of a kind..worth being visited
A cool medieval work, better GO see it AT night
Good place to visit. Nice view.
Best view in town :personel excelent!
Beautiful tower in the middle of the city. You can climb up for free, taking the stairs or the elevator.
Beautiful!
The tower seams taken from a fairy tale. It closes at 4pm so we couldnt visit the inside, but I surely recommend to try and visit it, maybe see the city from up above. On the left and on the right of the tower there are two old schools, one used to be for girls and the other for boys.
Great place and you can go inside and see the city from above.
The tower is a historic part of the town and also the view is splendid from upstairs.
