Studio Tour Dr, Watford WD25 7LR, Kusti
Visitors can tour actual film sets and learn the special effects tricks used in the popular films.
Amazing place, you must love it. If you dont buy a ticket in advance nothing to worry, the queue is not big. The staff working there are doing their best to provide you a warm welcome and an unforgettable experience. You will get food and drinks at a reasonable price inside the studio. You can use the toilet if required. What else? Plan your trip and enjoy!!
Absolutely fantastic day out. Well worth the money. The workers are fun, friendly and knowledgable. The Halloween decorations are brilliant, theres lots of new attractions from the last time I visited, and we saw the dark arts segment. With the tour workers playing death eaters, and they were fantastic. Would absolutely go back again.
An absolutely amazing tour of the Harry Potter movies. The amount of props/ sets costumes etc is stunning and very well presented throughout. It truly is something to behold when you turn a corner and you are struck with the magnitude of Gringotts Bank😲 really does take your breathe away at the skills and mastery of all who helped produce these films. Couldnt recommend visit here enough. I want to go back again to experience it all once more, because Im positive we missed some displays on our first visit😁.
Overall great experience, fun sets and beautiful artwork. You get to take pictures and videos, see real Gringotts set and more. Real fun. it would be worth if you got to go inside more of the sets, I think you need more interactions and use more performers but still worth 5 stars. I would 100% recommend this place, I say again I had lots of fun and enjoyed it. I loved the butter beer and you get to keep the cup.
As a die hard fan of the Harry Potter franchise, I was very much looking forward to a visit to the Warner Bros Studio Tour.We arrived for the first slot of the day, and had almost no wait as the queue was handled brilliantly. It turns out we scheduled our visit on the first day of the Dark Arts Halloween special. The Great Hall was decorated with floating pumpkins and really looked fantastic. As well as this, throughout the day, death eaters put on a wonderful display. Each and every aspect of the tour was simply brilliant. Getting in-depth insights into the making of Harry Potter and seeing the sets and props in person was super special. The staff were also fantastic, all of them teeming with knowledge of the franchise and super happy to chat and help where needed. The cafe and picnic areas were great and I have to say the butter beer was very nice, although the rest of our party didn’t agree. The gift shop at the end was very busy, I recommend saving a bit of time to look around and wait in the queue to be served. The shop was enormous and hosted a very large range of merchandise. The serving staff were wonderful and very helpful with our questions. All in all, it was a fantastic day out. With lots of knowledgeable staff, interesting facts and wonderful exhibits straight from the movies, I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you’re a true potter head, you’ll absolutely be right in your element. I will be visiting again.
No queue, arrived 2.40 Saturday afternoon. Start of tour very good, not gonna spoil it. Lot to see. Spent 4 and a half hours here which included a stop in the cafe at the half way point, could easily have spent longer. A must for every Harry Potter fan.
Absolutely loved it here far more than I expected so much to see and to be able to go into the actual sets.. well I was lost for words! The staff are so friendly and happy to chat about Harry Potter etc. Took me 7 hours to see it all an amazing experience! Cafeterias there are Fabulous with beautifully cooked food and beverages! I would recommend this visit!
A must-see for any magic fan. Being able to see the real set locations was great, but what I loved the most was the backstage trivia how the films were done. Its really quite a spectacular place. Even the silly "stamps" collecting feature is great as it allowed us to feel like children in a magical world again. Totally recommend!!
Amazing place to visit for all ages, and even non Harry Potter fans cannot fail to be impressed by the details of just how much work went into the films. Its on a colossal scale and takes many hours to see yet every single area is interesting and well presented. Its improved greatly since we last visited several years ago, and the new additions are exceptional. The layout and organisation are also improved and despite being very popular there is a lot of room and it doesnt feel rushed. Top marks also for having a huge number of EV charging spaces in the car park!
Visited three times now and still cant wait for our next trip. So much to see and they constantly add new areas such as the greenhouses opened earlier this year. The tour takes 3 - 4 hrs and there is a food spot midway. This gets quite busy but food is worth the wait.Great shop at the end with plenty of merch and a cafe to visit before going home!
An absolute MUST to get a peak behind the curtain for any Harry Potter fan!We started with afternoon tea (which I suggest! Come with an empty stomach, it’s a feast!then took our tour. Im a huge fan of this franchise. My husband isn’t, but he loved this tour. He found all the behind the scenes fascinating. There is a lot to do and see. If you love interactive items, there is plenty to engage with. The souvenir shop is one of a kind as well, nothing like Disney or the 9 3/4 in kings cross. Sure, there are shared pieces but there is so much more! I walked out without buying anything, although tempted, because of the length of the queue. Maybe try to get to the shop early and bring a backpack to shove your items into because the later in the day you wait to shop the longer the queue will be.If you are on the fence about taking this tour, just do it! It really was magical for both myself, a lover of all things HP and my husband, who knows very little about these books.
Had a really magical time discovering how it was all made. With all the costumes and props from the filming of the films and how it all came to life; it was a great day out. There were a lot of people there but you still had plenty of room to walk around and see everything. I would highly recommend this if you have a day to loose yourself in the magic of it all 😃😀🙂
I love it here, its like coming home! If money was no issue I would be here every other day! But as we live in the East Midlands, its quite the trek to get there. Next time we come it will have to be as close as possible to payday, it was very depressing seeing all the goodies and not being able to buy anything 🤣 Staff were great, very helpful and informative. If I could give more than 5 stars, I most definitely would!
A once in a lifetime experience for all Harry Potter fans out there. The way they’ve preserved a large portion of the actual set is mind blowing. You really have to visit to believe it. Tickets open a year in advance - book early if you can. If you don’t book directly through the official website, there’s tons of tours available but the tour companies do charge a premium for them.
Interesting for both children, teens and adults. You can simply see props and stages of the Harry Potter films or find out more about how the stages were achieved (which younger children may not particularly be bothered about).Ive got two daughters, one who is in to the films and one firmly the opposite. Both enjoyed the tour. Even my wife who long suggested it wasnt for her found it both interesting and rewarding. They all want to watch the films / watch them again so I think it was a success. The food / drinks are reasonably priced and a refreshing change not to be overly abused for being a cornered market.Parking was incredibly simple and pod-points exist to charge your car whilst youre on the tour. At time of writing that was £0.25p/kWh. £2.60 charged my hybrid car.
Amazing experience for a harry potter fan. It felt so amazing to go into the set of the films to see how they were filmed. There was so much to see and you really did feel like you were there in harry potter. We tried a butterbeer which was overpriced at £7 and I didnt like it, it was too sweet and had an unusual taste. I think that to make it better, they should include a ride in the middle to break up the experience and to add more fun.
A well organised and in depth display of behind the scenes secrets of the Harry Potter films. Items and scenes from all of the films are displayed, with a good few interactive areas as well, although some involve spending extra money to get professional photos provided. All of the staff we interacted with were very knowledgeable about all things Potter, and really made us feel welcome. It might not be representative of a normal visit but we were told it would take around 3 hours to complete the tour but we were there for around 5 hours as there was so much to see! 5 stars, will definitely recommend to others and will return in the future.
Finally got to see this place where the magic is made. Cool to see how things were created for the movies although it took away a bit the mystery… It takes about 2 hours to go through all the exhibition halls. The butter beer is like cider with cream so a bit sweet. It’s nice to try. Great experience for kids.
Amazing place for HP fans! So much to take in (costumes, sets etcand loads of "behind the scenes" information. Great fun for both kids and adults. They have a fun embossing stamp collection for your passport to complete as you go through the tour. Gift shop is intense! Too many things to choose from, can easily spend a small fortune here! Would love to visit during Christmas to see the decorations!
Fantastic tour, nice to have a timed entry, our 3rd visit, everything excellent except food prices, which are a little excessive. Great parking (freewell laid out tour, with so much to see, ideal for Potter fans. The super large scale model of Hogwarts Castle is a real eye opener. A little busy, but did visit in the school holidays.
Amazing place for adults and kids.Having good knowledge of the films is ideal before visiting, but I would say is not essential as I feel anyone would have fun walking around it, there is so much to see.We were there a total of 6 hours but we certainly didnt rush as we stopped for lunch in the middle and got involved in every activity along the way.I would recommend taking a picnic if you are planning on eating here, the food prices are eye watering expensive, but we did expect them to be.As a treat we did buy 4 milkshakes before we exited at total of £28 and I have to say they were not worth the money and we were all disappointed, we would have preferred to get them from McDonalds.
Best day out for any Harry Potter fans. So much to see, it will take you all day but it is well worth it. Wheelchair accessibility is good, a few areas are difficult to navigate (diagon alley due to cobblestonesbut overall it is very good. There is also ample disabled parking. The official photos are a bit expensive but there are plenty of opportunities to take your own for free. The food and drink prices were very reasonable. I will definitely visit again.
Amazing day out which was truly magical... Able to get up close to the items from the film.. informative and friendly staff. Food was expected from an attraction so not cheap but we all enjoyed our lunch... Maybe there could be a few more options at the back lot as we arrived at 10 so waited till we got their to get lunch... Definitely a must visit if you are Harry Potter fan but actually equally interesting if you are not..
Fantastic attraction for Harry Potter fans and those interested in film making. The sets and props are amazing. The staff are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The gift shop is awesome if expensive. I found the studio tour good value and a must visit for fans of Harry Potter.
Well being that all the family are huge Harry potter fans, this was a must. Trying to get the tickets in first place was a bit difficult and expensive. But once you are inside it will blow your mind. We spent a good few hours here. Spent plenty of money buying all the wizard chocolates and buying plenty of butter beer. The choice of activities inside is truly amazing. But be warned take some money because everything costs. But overall the experience is truly amazing. A highly recommended option.
This the place you need to visit if youre any level of Potter fan or a movie buff. The sets are amazing and the props are awesome. The staff are really knowledgeable on all of the visual and special effects that that you can see and there is so much to do! Id fully recommend taking a whole day to just explore and enjoy.
2nd visit and still absolutely loved it. Had a nice lunch in the canteen area before we went in, was very tasty. Staff are lovely place is clean , could spend hours inside . Cant recommend enough if your a potter head. Not sure if its everyday but the cafe halfway through the tour gets very busy so maybe eat before . Free parking very easy too get too off of the M25 .
Best experience ever! We love HP and enjoyed seeing the back stage and set up. It was very easily accessible from Watford Junction. Get in early before your time slot because there is a wait at the station for a shuttle. Very easily spent 3 hours there. Definitely make sure to book your tickets in advance!
Amazing place to visit, we spent over 3 hours enjoying the exhibition. The sets are fabulous and cant recommend a visit enough, the shops are packed with Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast merchandise and there are plenty of food and drink areas...another plus was the amount of seating areas and benches dotted around just about everywhere as I needed a rest every so often as the place really is massive.
What a wonderful experience for our family. The staff were very helpful, friendly and informative. The environment was very positive with lots to see. We saw how a lot of the special effects you see in Harry Potter were made as well as the sets and props. We tried the butter beer and ice-cream which were both amazing. Everything was astonishing except for some of the costumer service we received while we were ordering food. The woman taking our order was rude…Overall, we would definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan!
Absolutely AMAZING. My first time here and Im already desperate to return. Every single member of staff truly made the experience amazing. I was on crutches and from the point go to the lovely security man at the end made my experience amazing.Since Harry Potter studio tours was created Ive wanted to visit and today I got to.The displays throughout the tour are fabulous. I literally had all of the displays to myself I either got the tail end of the previous tour or I was right at the front of my tour.It was amazing. An experience for children and all adults. The access for anyone with disabilities is the best Ive ever seen!! Its so so inclusive to anyone with any needs. It might be slightly scary for children in the forbidden forest but I wouldnt say its really scary.Ive have the MOST AMAZING visit ever. Im sorry to be going back to Scotland.Thank you for making the magic live on.
Out of this world experience for HP fans! Incredible tour with amazing behind the scenes, with lots of new detailes and special and very entertaining displays. It is definitely worth the wait, and make sure to clear a day for this tour as it is huge! Theres also a cafeteria inside where you can be HP themed food and beverages. Of course, lots and lots of cool merchandise to be found inside.
Even though we are Harry Potter Fans, we were positively surprised by this great experience. There was so much to see from the films which was far more than we expected. The staff was extremely enthusiastic and created a wonderful atmosphere. We loved all the detail and exploring the large exhibition. We can highly recommend to book your tickets in advance. It was also great to use the bus service from Watford Junction which made getting there by public transport Mich easier even thought the studios are not that centrally located. If you like Harry Potter than this is a must do!
The whole family loved it. It was an amazing tour, we all didnt really know how much workmanship went into designing and building sets, creating characters, make up and dress making. It is almost to take in and has been the most creative place we have ever seen. Before starting the tour we had Afternoon tea and that was something else, totally recommend that. Definitely worth every penny. We all came out happy and I suppose that is what you expect when you spend money, good experience! and that they delivered !!!
Was an amazing experience, took about 3hours for the whole tour, husband loved it and his not the biggest harry potter fan. The staff was lovely and helpful, was very tidy, loved the whole experience. Lots of bathrooms around so great for if you take.your kids with you.
From the moment I arrived the staff was incredible. Not only did they realize, as I walked in, that I had mistakenly purchased a second studio ticket thinking it was a tea time ticket, but they were able to squeeze me in for tea.The tour itself was very fun and again staff was present at every turn to ask questions or learn more about different props or sets.As with most attractions, food is a bit pricey but Ive seen worse at Disney world. As an almost 32 year old doing this alone, I would say its fun for any age! You could tell the magic continues to impress everyone.
We spent over 4 hours on this tour and honestly could have been there longer. The detail and information within the exhibits was astounding. The tour speed was self governed and we were able to revisit some areas without question. There are several areas for food and drink purchases. Costs were a little high but no worse than all other venues weve been to. Queues were long but well managed and quickly dealt with.Parking seemed abundant but we were on a coach tour so this didnt impact on us.At the door it states you must have pre bought your ticket. We were told that exhibits are updated so we will return in the future.
My Second time back, so much to see with all the finer details it is well worth the visit.Well designed tour and walk around the sets and props. The audio guide is well worth it for adults with loads of extra snippets in.All staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be going back again to see more.
Amazing experience. Wonderful to see the sets/props and how they made many of the practical effects across the various films. Incredible craftsmanship from so many people went into both the movies as well as this experience. Only advice for those of us visiting from the states is to make sure you have transportation back. It is a fair drive from London so if you dont already have transportation arranged getting a taxi might be a bit tricky.
Brilliant day out. Spent 6 hours walking around and thoroughly enjoyed it. If youre a Harry Potter fan, you will love it. If youre not a fan, you will still enjoy it as the whole thing is very interesting.I would recommend taking a packed lunch though. The food was nice, but normal burger, fries, etc, all at about £10 each.
What a fantastic time we had. Queues were not to long for the broomstick photos, we were also there for the magical mysteries shows. They were really good. We all had a brilliant time if little tired at the end. Ages of party, under a year, 4yrs, 6yrs, 12yrs, 2 x adults in 30s and grandparents in 50s and 60s.
Amazing!!! Every Harry Potter fan needs to visit here. All the pieces are original from the movies and the staff is very nice and warm.To enjoy the full experience, reserve something like 5 hours (3 to 4 hours for the exhibition and eating and between half an hour to an hour for the shop (believe me, if youre a an Harry Potter fan, who read the books and seen the movie, the shop is like a museum.)
Great time and great place. Had a wonderful time but I would be prepared to walk a lot. If you have a back, leg, foot issue bring a walking stick.Only Downside (potentially upsideis that there is a lot you can buy and in multiple places quality is good and food was nice too.
This place is incredible. Its huge took roughly 3 hours to walk around it all and I wouldnt say we were particularly slow walking either. It showcases all the skill and work the crew put in to it all. If youre not a Harry potter fan you still need to go!
A fantastic visit and worth the admission price. This is a big tour and you can easily spend most of the day there. The shops have the usual harry Potter merchandise and it is expensive. The food onsite is not hugely overpriced which is good
Absolute must see if you are a Harry Potter fan!!! The amount of behind the scenes work done at the studio is unreal! I cannot believe how much of the actual set was created it is so freaking cool and amazing, it literally feels like you are walking into a magical world and all the nostalgia from the movie and books come sweeping back! The whole site is insanely huge would probably take around 3-4 hours to go through the whole place to listen and take pictures.100% book tickets in advanced as the slots book up quick! There is also a midway stop throughout the tour where you can grab a snack to eat if you are hungry.I have added a lot of photos throughout the tour however they arent even close to what it is like being physically at the site!Great place to bring kids, a date or a massive Harry Potter fan and enthusiast! Experience the magic of Harry Potter it is worth it!
Wow. If you like Harry Potter, this is a MUST see!I love Harry Potter, but this blew my mind.We arrived at 17.10, our session was booked for 17.30, went straight through security, the que wasnt long at all. There is so much to see, so much detail and the majority of the the staff there are very knowledgeable and friendly.I could have been there all day, there is so much to see, photos to take and a nice little food court too. An example of prices two photos and a video cost £40 and an ice-cream in a cone for almost a £5. Souvenirs are quite expensive, but you can find some lovely items. It really was an absolutely fantastic evening. We have some great photos and Ill never look at the films in the same way.
Such an amazing experience. The customer service here absolutely blew us away, the staff are very interactive, friendly, helpful and informative. We had a small issue with the tickets as we got in, as i had forgot them and only had a confirmation email. This was no problem at all and they immediately brought us to print out new tickets without any issue. It was my daughters birthday and they gave her a birthday badge. Every member of staff spotted it and wished her a magical birthday, which she loved. Food was £18 for two kids meals, so it is a little on the pricey side. Gift shop was a little overpriced, but the staffs positive attitude really brightened the day up and encouraged me to let my daughter buy a little something. Staff at the cashier made us feel very welcome, interacting with us and genuinely looking like they enjoyed their job. We stayed about 4 hours, with an hour to eat. Ended up buying some ice cream and butter beer (which is pictured. Super cool features, such as the harry potter actors hand moulds, and the lifesize models. Hopefully will visit again soon with other family and friends. Strongly recommend, especially for die hard fans of the harry potter world!
This place is unbelievable! Well and truly breath taking and parts of it are so immersive. If you like/love/or are a Potter head it is a must see attraction! There is so many amazing things from the film to see. So many cool ways to tell you how they made it as well. Just make sure you go and see it and dont forget to take a Harry Potter passport at the beginning and watch out for the stamp machines along the way. Enjoy!
Amazing day out, love this place.Perhaps needs a resting spot for refueling before the backstop cafe. Just a drinks/small snack station would be great. But overall its a amazing place to learn so much of the Harry Potter secrets, I especially love the interactive stations, the staff at these are above and beyond fantastic. Take your Harry Potter fanatic they will have the best time.
