Eagle Rock natives dig the retro feel of this arcade bar in a former plumber’s shop.
Great friendly service. waltz also has about 20 or so pinball machines and occasionally has pinball tournaments. Wonderful neighborhood bar
Absolute favorite spot. Vegan dogs $7.50ea and some of the best pinball games ever!
If its Wednesday dont bother coming here. Apparently on Wednesday they have a tournament and dont let you play any of the pinball games because they are unlocked. We didnt know this and were still putting money into the machines in between rounds. The guy who was hosting the tournament instead of coming to us directly and talking to us, decided it would be better to try to humiliate us over the speakers. First time here, not sure if I will try again.
Best east side dive / w hot dogs
Good beers and drinks and vibe .
Craft Beer, Smart Wine, Tall Boys, Good Company & Pinball! Need there be more for a keen cool hang?
Update: Still an Eagle Rock staple. The retro mid century modern kitch decor is an absolute vibe. Bar has rotating craft beer on draft, canned beer, wine, and more. Hot dogs w/ steamed buns from their classic rotisserie are on point. Several tables inside along w/ bar seating. Front, side, and back patio seating. Back patio now features a blacklight shooting gallery arcade. The big draw for me is the pinball. They have a couple EMs, some early AN solid states, and currently one early DMD. This curated focus on this era of machines is a welcome reprieve from other pinball rooms in the area that focus on modern LCDs and DMDs from the early aughts (though I love those too).
The 70s as imagined by hipsters who never lived it. If youre into it, then this is your spot. Got our first beer in a reasonable timeframe considering it was practically empty, but our second round took so long we pulled the plug and left. And it was probably only 40% capacity and there were multiple bartenders on. Service with a shrug.
Great beer. Great vibe. Respectable vino selection. GREAT HOT DOGS, for real, get a hot dog. And they have pin ball.
Try this place for the first time. It was hopping. No space at the bar so I had a drink in their back patio. Dont put your hand over the wall, guard dogs...
Cool spot; natural wine and STUPID GOOD PRETZELS. Bartender was friendly and overall vibe was fun.
Never a bad time good priced beer and the Hot dogs are real good
The best sort of neighborhood bar! Lovely energy, great beer, kind people, fun pinball.
They not only have hotdogs but pretzels and veggie dogs! Strong wine pours 👌
Testy little bartenders. Not worth the prices they charge for craft beers. Definitely a "hipster" hangout full of super-sensitive little minions that love to stare at people they dont know. Dont dare laugh at something you watch on your phone (to alleviate boredom), or they immediately think you are laughing at them and come unglued.
Great place to hang out and enjoy the evening. Plus they have great dogs. (And vegan dogs)
Easily the best beer bar in the area. Always a good time. Perfect for a chill date or a meeting place to have a cold one with a few friends. Try to come early if you actually want to play pin ball. Gets busy at night. Good selection of beer and sandwiches.
Great local Bar. Soul + Funk on the speakers, great old school pinballs and great service and staff
what an amazing place. the vibe. the food. the drinks. the pinball! been here many times. great daytime spot, but also poppin later in the day. the pretzel with the cheese sauce! and the hot dog ofc. and love the hamm’s. altogether, this place is incredible. walt’s!
My review for this writes itself: ice cold beer, hands on hamm’s in a can, some guy knew who I was, go figure. I bought a hat cause I had such a fun time playing pin ball and the game “ice cold beer.” Good outdoor seating as well. I highly recommend.
Cute and nice to relax have a beer. Dogs allowed outside which is a plus for me!!
Iconic bar, games and beer makes this place a treasure in LA
I love this place. The bartenders are friendly, they allow dogs on the front patio, the beer is good and the hot dogs …. don’t even get me started they’re the best hot dogs ever I can’t explain it.I feel comfortable coming here alone as a woman, and that is a huge plus. You have to try the Ice Cold Beer game. It’s a lot of fun. They also always have cute pop ups.I wish it were cheaper, but that’s just LA. Be prepared to park in the neighborhood and walk.
This is my go-to gem. I take all my friends from the westside here for its charm, decor and wine. The ambiance is perfect for young and older professionals. I highly recommend it.
Place is happening forsure. Really popular. I hear the food is good And I love the pin ball machines. Staff were really nice too. Small space but fun.
I mean. What a classic joint! Amazing vegetarian hot dogs! If you go on the weekend, be prepared for a crowd. During the week, you should get right in.
Walts is my favorite eagle rock bar, and probably one of my top bars in la to visit. The hot dogs are great. Beer is perfect. Pinball machines epic.
Really cool old-school arcade and pinball bar in eagle rock! Love this place
I really enjoyed the pinball, drinks, and the general vibe. Very fun. I go to a lot of barcades and this one was the first that got me to sit down and write a review. Thank you!
They consistently have the best pins here. Great staff, great atmosphere. I swear I’ll make it to the top of Ice Cold Beer someday. Someday...
One of my favorite bars! Staff is friendly and welcoming with excellent service. Overall vibe/aesthetic is uniquely funky and cool. Plus, their hot dogs and pretzels are top notch. Pretty darn fun spot just to hang out and kick it with the homies while sipping brews and playing vintage pinball. Gotta’ love Walts!
Love this place! Always getting the pretzels and playing the pinballs with friends. Everyone is super friendly and so are the customers and I end up making friends and having a great time with new folks. Just a very relaxing and cool place to go
I mean look at this photo. What’s not to love? A hot dog with your name on it! The bartenders (Woody & Jimmyare always super nice.
Walts bar is a hole in the wall that looks like something out of an 80s after school specialIts got a couple of pinball machine and serves bar food and drinks. Not a wide selection of beers but its a cute little space.
An amazing place to grab a beer, play some pinball, and have a stellar hot dog.
Beer and wine only with the best retro vibes, I felt like I was in a time machine with the classic pinball machines and authentic decor. The bubble lights across the top of the part were my favorite! Same as on my Christmas tree :)
the vibe here is so laid back and chill. it seems like a dive bar but its not. the pinball machines are a great added touch and i dont see how you could visit this place without popping a quarter or two with your friends and playing a round. the bartenders were so nice and checked in frequently. i would love to come back sometime soon because it is a lot of fun to spend a late night here
This bar is a cool retro spot to come and have a beer. They do not have a wide selection of beer but not a bad place on a hot summer day. The staff is a bit rude and the crowd can be a bit hipster which is cool if that is what you’re into. They also have some fun games which is a nice addition
Awesome place. Not too busy. Great veggie dog. Reasonable prices. Pinballs awesome! Service was fast and super nice! Bathrooms clean! Lots of fun. Will be back.
Well maintained pinball machines from 70s-90s
This bar is awesome good price beer and pinball machines
I rarely review places on Google, but this place is legendary. My fav bar in LA and probably fav bar ever. Beers are delicious with a quickly rotating selection. Just the most cozy and comfortable vibe for a bar
Really fun place. Goes back in time in this historic place. Open til 2am. Good crowd.
LOVE this place! Great veggie dogs and ginger ale. Vintage pinball some are rather hard. But overall worth it.
Excellently appointed bar with a fun crowd and an impressive line up of 70’s and 80’s pinball.
Nice bar with vintage styling. They have an assortment of older pinball machines dating from the 60s to 80s. All of the machines are $0.25-$0.50 to play. Nice selection of beer and wine as well.
Great new pinball bar in Eagle Rock. They have a collection of 9 pinball machines that are rotated out frequently. They have a very nice collection of craft beer on tap with some bottle and cans. Plus if you are not a wine person try their awesome selection of wine. The bar does have a dated feel to it which complements the mainly “Bally” pinball machines. Most games only cost either $.25 or $.50 to play. Very reasonable. If you are an enthusiastic pinball player every Wednesday @8pm they have a triple elimination tournament. Nothing serious and a very social crowd.I have not tried the food but they have pretzels hotdogs and a cool looking peanut machine.Bringing he retro gaming world to Eagle Rock is a huge up.Can’t wait to go back.
Chill spot. Cool neons and outdoor seating for a nice summer bevvy
Great bar with 9 pinball machines, good beer and wine, hotdogs (ketchup and mustard only), and pretzels. Theres a machine in the back where you can get warm nuts for $1. They open at 11 AM so its a good afternoon hang. All games are $0.25 or $0.50 with a change machine on site but make sure you bring cash since there isnt an ATM. For food/drinks, you can use a card.
Delicious pretzels, fine wines, and a great selection of rotating beers on tap. Not to mention all the classic pinball machines you wont find anywhere else in the city. This place is gorgeous inside (with patio seating as welland is clearly a labor of love.
