Walmart Auto Care Centers - Tyre Shop in Wausau, United States
They need more people
Car Technicians at this location suck never use thus Walmart for your car. I can do a whole lot better then they can and I dont have a degree 💪💪💪#outthemudd
As if you would care ...time to send your team to a customer service class..
Got my oil changed and my headlights restored. Everyone was super nice and helpful. My headlights look brand new and I have an older car (2008). Very happy with my experience, will definitely be returning!
I have never in my life heard about not being able to change tires due to an airbag light being on. My vehicle was hit on the right side, and no car repair shop can get the light to turn off. Its ok, cause instead of the 2 tires I was going to buy through Walmart, I bought 4 right across the street, and they were more professional.
There was only one guy there doing the actual service at the time but he did get my 2 new tires on with out Complaint.
Literally the absolute worst place to take your car for anything. Im not kidding when I say everywhere else is cheaper. About a month ago I went to get new tires and they literally put balled tires on my car and tried to pull it off as new tires. I got my money back and went somewhere else and payed 50$ less than they charged me. The take away is that the auto center is terrible.
I will never go to this place again. One star is too much for the poor customer service and care.
Very lazy employees and dont seem to know much.
They take too long to answer the phone but they do answer eventually
Its what you would expect.
Convenient for shopping
Ive had problems here in the past...BUT, they have a new service manager (Joshand staff now....And its a complete turnaround!Just had an excellent, professional, and competent service experience there...So dont be afraid to give them another chance.
Staff do not know what theyre doing. I had purchased tires online and scheduled an appointment for 1PM. An email confirmed the appointment and I received a text message with instructions to show up 15 minutes prior to my appointment to check in. When I arrived, there were four people standing behind the counter, and none of them were available to help. Probably ten Walmart staff walked past as well in and out of the department. Seems like more staff than people. Two of them from behind the counter went to lunch and one wandered off somewhere and didnt come back. The only person left was an older man behind the counter. For some reason he was not able to find my information or appointment. I tried to show him my order, but he said something about scheduling an appointment and registering for service were two different things so he needed all my information. Spent 15 minutes registering again with them, repeating all the information I already had on the receipt, only for them to print out another bill of sale and try and charge me a second time for four tires. The older man at the counter was also not clear on how to use the computer or enter my information in to the system. He was nice, but I could tell he was stressed, confused, and in pain from a bad knee or something. He kept getting numbers messed up and couldnt find the right letters on the keyboard. He asked me for my license plate three times, put it in wrong each time, and eventually said I had ordered tires a Chevy Equinox or something, when I actually had a Toyota corolla. He eventually became flustered and went outside to get the VIN number off the vehicle.Eventually some other guy who I assume was the manager shows up and confirms I did have the appointment, but it was crossed out as "delayed" for some reason, then they tried to argue I already had already come in earlier and been taken care of, which I was not. They couldnt find my tires, but some other mechanic went in the back and found four tires that matched, but they couldnt be used because they were not the ones reserved for my order. Eventually another employee was called to find out where my tires even were, and then a manager from another department came and started asking questions and checking the system and told me the tired were never pulled. After a total of 30 minutes just trying to explain to them what I had ordered and waiting for them to just take my key and put the new tires on, they finally had it sorted out. But I was very ready to just walk out of the store and cancel my order because of how disorganized and incompetent staff were. If it was this difficult for them to change tires, I cant imagine how rough it must be for any other service they provide.Gave two stars instead of one because I feel sorry for the staff having to work in such a stressful environment, and because eventually the tires were put on and they didnt fall off, so thats something. Also everyone in the department seemed to be wearing their masks below their nose which defeats the purpose of wearing a mas, so Im going down to one star again. Will not order tires/service from Walmart again. Next time Ill just go to Discount Tires across the street.
Takes forever. Quotes you one price but when its all said and done you end up paying more (oil changes)
This is the second time Ive been here to change my tires and the service was great. Brian was very helpful and my car was done quickly (I did arrive earlier in the morning). The technicians also seemed in good spirits so that was nice as well.
I called and I honestly wouldn’t buy a car battery from you folks as the person that answered the phone started with no identification to whom I was talking then asked some irrelevant questions followed by can you call back, “I’m writing someone else up right now?”
They dont make appointments. First come first serve. The wait is always 5+ hours or more.
They are very unprofessional and rude. I called asking if they sold winter tires, they instantly hung up in my face. I tried to call back and no one answered.
Dropped off my car bright and early during a snowstorm, waited an hour in line to be told my vehicle would get worked on right away the next morning. The next morning we call to ask when my car will be done and they say they dont have my car on the books and I also need to sign paperwork so they can work on the car! Seriously! Why wasnt the paperwork done the day before when we were there an hour. Will never take my vehicle here again. Also the manager was extremely rude and is lacking in customer service!
Can not even get someone to pick up the phone! Their tire service department is a crying shame! Will never use them again for anything!
Fast, helpful and friendly
Very economical but long waits and they do not make appointments, it is first-come, first-served.
Went here a few years ago to have four tires put on my jeep. the next day on my way to work my left front tire came off on the hwy. Rolled down the office ramp and landed in Texas roadhouse parking lot. thank god they were closed. I put the tire back on made it to to the walmart parking lot they had my jeep towed to another shop they refused to pay for anything it cost me 1400.00 in repairs I was with out a vehicle for two weeks I wouldnt let them touch my car if they were the last tire shop on earth. they make them guys watch a few videos and then they think there master techs. what a joke on top of that. Ive been working on cars professionally for over 25 years and they dont take care of there employees the pay Id horrible
This is probably the worst customer service at any walmart i been too..Everyone looks go grumpy and rude especially the shorter old man with glasses.. You ask a simple question and he snaps back like a snapping turtle.. Im at a lost for words a little because where im from we say hi and bye and a respectful especially in a store establishment and dealing with customers.. I guess wausau walmart auto is alott diff.. If you hate the job then just quit..
Terrible service, customer service, overall horrible. I’ve been waiting here for over three hours and my car has still not been looked at. Earlier this morning my tire was repaired at another Walmart service center. One hour of driving in and my alignment was all off and almost ran me off the road. I stopped at the service center and they told me they’d get me taken care of right away. Over three hours later and I’m still waiting...yeah. Don’t come here.
Expect to wait a long time for any service. Prices arent too bad and open on weekends. Another problem is that they will work on other cars even if you got there earlier and they say its first come, first serve.
Wait time is horrible. They are supposed to open at 8 but did not see anyone in the counter till 9
Unbelievable the amount of time it takes for the counter to serve a customer. They need more people and improved process
Wouldn’t know what their service or tires are like since I couldn’t get someone to answer the phone. You’d think after it ringing for over 10 minutes someone or at least a voicemail would answer but no.
It’s first come first serve so yes if you think the world revolves around you you’ll be disappointed in having to wait in line and wait your turn. They went out of their way to help me so I am very thankful for that! It is an extremely busy store and I give them props for having to deal with all the entitled aholes that are rude.
Overall, it was OK.Employees were OK.Recommend early mornings for oil changes as it is first come first serve.Wait time: 40 minutes-4 hours$45 synthetic oil change$30 standard oil changeHours is a plus as they service on weekends! The auto shop I go to charges roughly the same price but they dont open on weekends..I visited yesterday to get an oil change around noon. Took forever before someone was able to get to the counter and speak to me. Its a first come first serve so the wait was going to be 4 hours until my car gets taken care of. The lady suggested coming back the next day early in the morning to get first dibs. So I did. I came in around 9:15am today on a Sunday. I was happy to see someone at the counter right away. I was first in line to get an oil change. Didnt have to wait for others before me this time. Got the job done in 40 minutes.Impressions of employees: Kind of clueless. Not rude but not pleasantly happy either. The lady helping took some time to get me registered in their system trying to look for where their hand held device was. Another guy comes out and was trying to look for something behind the counter too. Since they both were trying to look for something it just gave off a clueless, unorganized vibe to me. Made my trust drop just a little. But in the end oil change was done in a timely manner. I got to check out right away. My car needed a synthetic oil change so cost came to $45 and some change.
Staff is rude and looks as if they just woke up or are high. Severely understaffed and overpriced for the amount of time you have to wait. This used to be a great place to go for an oil change, but with the current staff I wouldn’t bother. I’ll pay a little extra for some professionalism somewhere else. Walmart seems to serve white trash and seems to hire them too. So sad.
Had tires balanced and rotate. It took about 3 hours.
If it wasnt for Peter Kong, I would have given a rating of 1. But he was able to fix my tpms sensor that was broken on the previous visit, and complete my new tire installation with no issues. I highly recommend Peter as the technician who works on your vehicle if you were to go there. Price is definitely the cheapest around.
Just got an oil change here and now my car is leaking oil!
No wonder your rating is so low. Ive been waiting for an hour just to talk to the manager and I couldnt even talk to him. I would never go back again even walmart offer to do it for FREE or even pay me to do it. With this kind of attitude would not deserve my business.
Coming through on my way to St. Louis, I realized with a shock that my oil had dropped so low it wasnt even showing up on the dipstick, crazy because I had gotten it changed 2 weeks ago. Manager stopped what he was doing to help me and show me how to add oil and what kind I needed, did a small check to see what could be happening. Probably saved my car, and my trip. Didnt try to charge me for anything else or delay me. Extremely helpful. Thank you guys
Whenever Ive been in for an oil change in the past, it would be an hour wait, which is fine by me as then I can get groceries or do a little shopping/browsing nearby. But not today. There were only 2 cars ahead of me which is the norm. I went and shopped at nearby stores during the time I thought my oil was being changed. After over an hour, I came back & my car hadnt even been in yet. I asked 3 or 4 times during my time waiting if my car was going to be done soon and they would tell me my car would be in next. Finally, after 3.5 HOURS and seeing that nobody was even in the shop, I said "Forget it. Ill go elsewhere." I was told at that point that they essentially only had one person to do the job. Would have been nice to have known that in advance. Dont take more vehicles in if you are short staffed and already behind. Had I waited it out, Im sure it would have been well over a 4 hour wait just for an oil change. The auto department has lost my business.
I had a battery installed in my truck. Also wanted then to do a fuel injection service. They werent able to do the fuel service due to not having the right tool needed for my truck. The tool will be ordered and arrive within a week. I will make another appointment to have service done. After comparing many different places for prices and battery quality Wal-Mart came out on top.
Slow!!! Over three hrs to change tires, obviously bad management and I will not be returning.
Every time I go there, they are understaffed. It is usually a 3 hour wait just for an oil change.
