Wallace Barbecue Restaurant in Mableton

What a great dining experience we had at Wallace Barbecue Restaurant. The food was prepared perfectly and delivered to the table right on time throughout the four courses that we had selected.

Sliced beef and pork sandwiches were tasteless and dry and the bbq sauce watery. This is the first time out of 8 visits it sucked. Hopefully was an off day for them. Wont be back for a while though 😕

FYI the $11.00 half chicken plate is served cold so just a warning. If you want your chicken hot you have to ask for hot chicken.

I am 61 been going here all my life since they were in a little small building down the street. I have eat barbecue from Kentucky Tennessee to Texas Wallaces is still the best

NEVER AGAIN!!!1AFTER BEING SEATED WE DIDNT REALLY FEEL COMFORTABLE AT ALL, EATING THERE PERIOD!!!2THE FOOD ALSO TURN OUT TO BE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AS WELL!!!3WE WERE NOT IN THE MOOD TO ARGUE, BECAUSE OF A RECENT TRAGEDY THAT HAD OCCURRED ON TO US, SO WE JUST PAID THE BILL AN LEFT.

Excellent food, great service, can get busy and the parking is cramped

Place is cute, waitress was phenomenal. Food was very mediocre. The pork had an off taste, and the fries have no flavor.

A local landmark for many years.Great BBQ, the staff are very friendly and know most of their customers by name. Dine early on the weekend, its busy after 5.Guarantee you want be disappointed.

My favorite bbq ever. Grew up eating Wallace BBQ moved away but still come back to the area just to eat here. I order the pork and stew plate everytime. Its always awesome.Update 04/16/22: still my favorite bbq. Theyre doing a limited menu right now due to staffing shortage. The only thing I saw missing from the menu was appetizers. I think theyre doing a great job!Update 10/01/22: still the best bbq.

Now this some good barbecue right here..Nobody can afford to eat any more..But if you can very good..

It could have been my luck but my ribs were dried out (the sauce didnt help much), the fries were a mixture no flavor and/or burnt, and the Brunswick stew was nothing to write home about. Interesting barbecue joint, with a cool southern/country decor. Ill leave it at that.

Place was packed and perfectly so. The food was good, especially the jalapeño poppers. Had to get two orders. The ambience is warm and welcoming. The service is great. A+ experience.

It was ok. Got pulled pork. Parts with the bark were so burned they tasted like charcoal which was off putting

Nasty food 🤮 I’ve had much better!! As me and my family entered the restaurant we got looks from the staff not very welcoming!! No diversity in this restaurant whatsoever like other restaurants in Austell. I wouldn’t waste my time or money PERIOD!

Been the best diner in Cobb county GA. Its the BEST. Always has been the BEST.

Slice pork sandwich. Meat was not sliced for a sandwich it was in shock. Wrapped very messy, not good at all. Wings were good. Also had one plate,meat was the same.

I went there twice already. While the food is great, you need to be aware of the kinda vibe this place has. Today I was asked by a server "youre not from here, huh?". This place does not attract a diverse crowd like all other places in the area do. Its exclusively WASPY. I wont return.

Great place! In town for work and was looking for a local restaurant and glad I found it. Great affordable food, great service and really friendly atmosphere.

This business has been around for many years now. I hope its open for many more years to come. They have some tasty BBQ with decent portions. The Brunswick Stew is Truly Fantastic! My wife enjoys the food here as well. You can go wrong stopping by for some food at Wallace Barbecue. 😀

I have been a fan of Wallace Barbecue my entire life. This was the first barbecue that I ever had, which means that every time I have it, I always compare it to Wallace’s. Simply put, Wallace Barbecue tastes like home.

Its okay. Service is great, however if you want beef ribs you will not find them here.

All great, but the onion rings were off the chain good. Service and staff super good, fast and friendly as well. Very comfortable homey feel.

Service was Ok. But food was horrible. Very bland and no taste. Too much vinegar in sauce. Ribs looked like they have been sitting out all day. No smoky flavor, more oven cooked. I am confused about good reviews. We must have come on a bad day. Place was nice and clean. Personnel were nice and welcoming.

I called in an order by phone..They said it would be ready in 15 to 20 mins...So when I got there in that time frame...it was ready to go.... Fantastic service...I left a tip ...It was my first time to taste their food...I ordered a hole chicken to go with baked beans and Cole slaw..I also ordered a burger with fries...IT WAS FANTASTIC...!!!!! JUST LIKE THE SERVICE....!!!! FANTASTIC....!!!! Try it youll like it....!!! I love it...!!!!

Best barbecue place in the State! I’m sure you can find better “tasting” pulled pork from elsewhere but overall best barbecue place for overall quality food and eating experience. Service is fantastic, food is always fresh and hot. Great atmosphere, I have been going to this establishment since I was a kid and hopefully can bring my kids here one day! Food was good! Plates were served very slopy, and server took its time to take our orders.Food was delivered in a heartbeat, so dont think it is prepared to order.If you want a quick easy meal, almost comfort food level, this is the place to go!

Good food better service. Down home feel and they seem to have a very loyal local clientele. Even so, everyone is treated with the same hometown manners, if they know you or not.

Great service. A small wait to be seated , all of the tables were occupied. Food was great. Server was very friendly, and helpful. She come back to the table several times to see what else we might need. My kids love to eat there because of their hamburgers and fries. My friends and I love the BBQ sandwiches and fries. They have a very friendly, family, atmosphere.

Awesome experience. It has been a couple of years since we have been here. Our food was out fast and accurate. Everything we ate tasted great and had plenty to eat. Prices are great too.

I hadnt been to Wallace bbq in a very long time. My family and I were riding through town the other day and decided to stop and have a bite. There were several cars in the parking lot which was a good sign to me that I would enjoy my meal after such a long time if not being there. We were greeted at the door and seated ourselves. Our server, I didnt remember her name, was wonderful. She was very patient with my stubborn mother. Our food ordered and was at our table in about 15 minutes. And it was sooo good. The place was pretty full but we were treated as if we were the only people there. Wonderful food, great atmosphere and the best serving staff Ive experienced in a long time.

This was my first visit to Wallace BBQ. It was a great experience! The staff is friendly and very efficient. The food was great...it might be the best local bbq Ive had in years. I ordered a pork plate with a sweet potato. Both were perfect!! The Brunswick stew was very tasty but lacked texture (thats just a personal preference, most people like it the way it is served.Just as a suggestion, use it as a sauce for the pork, very nice. Like I said, it is very tasty. I will definitely be going back to Wallaces with expectations of another delicious meal!

If you grew up in a small town, then you already know everything you need to know about this barbecue location. Country sides and mains, with no thrills. Simple, fast and REALLY good. The people are as sweet at the Ice tea here.

Just when ya think you cant get good service, ya walk into this great place. While on vacation in the Atlanta area, my family and I stumbled onto Wallaces bbq while in search of a bbq establishment. Hands down the best and most personable service one can receive. Sissy (our servertreated my kids and wife like her own family. ABSOLUTELY LOVED THAT! would also like to give a small kudos to Allie. As for the food, super good vinegar based bbq. Really moist, full of flavor, and they even bring a big bowl of sauce to dip. Oh, and the homemade blue cheese and ranch dressings, are to die for! They will even sell some togo home with. WE LOVE THIS PLACE! One last note: one of my sons is special needs, and Sissy treated him as if he were her own. Thank you very much for that. We will always make this a destination any time we are near Atlanta.

So this place was freaking awesome! Yes there isn’t a huge mixture of people dinning in. But we never once felt out of place. The staff was freaking amazing!! Nothing but 10 stars for them. The prices was great by itself! But it was pleasant the whole time and everything was great and everyone was super helpful and nice. The food was great! And my partner never speaks about the service in a location but the service was so on point that she couldn’t stop speaking about them! The jalapeño poppers was ready good (sorry about just 1 picthe ribs felllllll offf the bones well worth it. Will be going back.

My fiancée and I came down from Tennessee to spend the day at Six Flags so naturally we were pretty hungry after a morning of riding roller coasters. We found this place on Google Maps and the food looked delicious in the pictures. We arrived at around 7:30 PM and were promptly greeted by a waitress who then seated us.The atmosphere around the restaurant was hospitable and our waitress Mary was just the kindest. She arrived within seconds as we sat down and provided us with just amazing service. We were able to figure out what we wanted to eat, we had the 10 piece Smoke Pit Wings as an appetizer, my fiancée ordered the Pork plate, and I had the Rib plate.The wings were absolutely delicious!!! They arrived within minutes of us ordering them. They had such a great crunch with each bite and not a “burnt-to-crisp” crunch. The taste of them didn’t disappoint either especially with the wing sauce on the side and their homemade hot sauce.Our order then arrived just as soon as we finishing up our wings. The ribs were absolutely scrumptious!!! Nice subtle crunch while still being juicy and just pulls right off the bone. The pulled pork was just perfect for my fiancée. She is a fan of good pulled pork and her plate surpassed good. We both didn’t hesitate to start eating our plates. We got so caught up in our food that we were silent during the beginning of us eating. Our food easily joined the clean plate club.Mary was always checking on us and making sure we were alright as well as our food. She would occasionally chat with us and it was just so nice speaking to her. We absolutely loved her and can’t wait to see her again whenever we come back again.Believe us we will be coming back again, hopefully with the rest of our family.

Always Great staff, Always Great Pulled Pork Barbeque, Great Brunswick Stew, Worlds Best. I will pass on the Skinny Little Pig Pig Ribs. House Salad has no nutritious Arugula. Spinach and Chards, Just Nasty Iceberg. Reasonable Prices. Always Great. Closed Sunday and Monday. A little hard to spot because of the car lot flags. Social Distancing is Excellent Plus. Wow, what can I say to explain how awesome this place is? They have been making bbq for a long time and I assure you whatever you get will be well worth it. In particular I highly recomend their wings and their vinegar based sauce. The also have a mustard based on that is very good as well, you just cant go wrong. The wait staff is friendly and prompt with their service and the atmosphere is rustic and homey. This place is definitely worth a trip for some of the best bbq youll ever have. Also the pedal cars are very cute, its filled with antiques kept in great condition.

Food was deliciously nostalgic. Moist tender barbecue, vinegar sauce with a splash of molasses I believe. And the Brunswick Stew is perfect with their house made mustard hot sauce and crushed saltines mixed in.The server, Marry, was on top of her game too!

From the wood paneling to the Brunswick Stew, I felt home. My waitress was so kind. The food was great and crazy inexpensive. Such a different experience than what you get in Atlanta. I will make the hour drive to go back to recapture that feeling again.

Amazing old school BBQ joint. All visual indicators suggest this place arrived to 1965 and decided to just hang there forever. Amazing food, perfect hospitality with the best-in-show menu selection being the ribeye with sauteed onions (yea, you should pay the extra $0.50 for the sauteed onions). Ribs and house made sauce have perfect char texture and flavor. Add the house hot sauce for just the right level of heat. Hands down, the best house made blue cheese dressing I have ever had and plenty left over to dip onion rings, which were better than the Varsity. Dont miss this place for everything you ever wanted in a restaurant.
