Wallaby Woods Donadea - Tourist attraction in Leixlip, Ireland
Went to see Santa here and it was very well done. Nice amount of time with him and Mrs Claus and the woods were nicely lit up as well. They also had a few activities for children too for before and after the visit. Well worth a trip if you have little people
We absolutely love Wallaby Woods, it is a go to on a dry day. There is so much to see and do, every staff member is a friendly face and the kids love it. The food is delicious and has generous portions.
Great day out for the family.... Kids between 2 and 10 loved it. Staff super friendly and helpful
Great place to spend some time wondering around wooded garden. There are different animals you can see, good feel place, quite entertaining for small kids. The zip-line was a great fun for my 10 year old.
The kids absolutely love it here!. Entering the park there is a little playground for the smaller kids next to the outdoor Cafe seating area with directly ahead a big obstacle course themed playground with picnic area. Heading through the reptile and bird house, the rest of the park includes views of a very large pond with plenty of plant life and geese, ducks & swans. There are more picnic areas along the way with another playground before entering the very nicely maintained woodlands area that includes a few enclosures with birds. All in all well, worth visiting and very enjoyable
Great weekend place for kids. Has parks for activities, a pay and use zip line, lots of different animals, nice nature walk and friendly staff. The only downside is a small and busy cafeteria which has trouble meeting the demand(personal opinion). But they did do their best to accommodate all guests. Best to pack your sandwiches from home and get ice-cream and drinks from the café.
Great day out in this pet farm with great playgrounds for all ages. Its not very big so dont need to worry that kids will get tired walking around. We loved the zip line and the little playground located conveniently beside the cafe. There is couple of picnic spots and a football pitch. Would definitely recommend!
A great place to bring the kids. Lovely play area and yhe Zipline is an absolute must. Friendly staff through out. Good value for money.
Grandkids enjoyed it. They liked the owls & wallabys & Emus. Lots of places to have a picnic. Bring one with you. Small playground. Nice walks around where animals spread out in woods.
Its a lovely place you are suppose to be able to hold snakes and pet animals but each time we went in there was no one there to help us. Also it would be nice if they had a map of where the animals are and not just a list. Some of the cages could do with renovations.
Our Guide Unit Camped there for a wkend. . It is an amazing place and the staff are so very friendly and kind. . . We will definitely be back soon. .
Stuff very friendly, lovely coffee shop, animals and even obstacle course... We loved it!
Super day out, lots of animals to admire and some to even pet! Grounds are clean and well kept and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Variety of playgrounds to suit different age groups and abilities. Picnic areas are frequent and the coffee bar serves sandwiches, reasonably priced.
Huge Open Space. Great interactice pet farm from the staff. Great picnic Arena.and great play Beautifull grounds. Kids Love itCant wait to Go back
Great place to spend a day or more, with kids, as there are camping grounds available. Lots of animals, some of which you can pet. Two playground areas, challenge course etc. Animals are spread out like in a zoo as you walk through woods so its actually fun to walk along.Food is nice, even birthday party area is there if you have ideas like that.Service was great, you can feel family touch courtesy, smiling and laughing.Ill be back, definitely recommend.
Great day out, zip lining, animals, plenty for the kids to keep them busy!
Great spot especially with good weather couple hours to kill take a trip to this place
Brilliant place for the family, lots too see and do.
Nice place, really friendly staff. Was a cold November day but still a nice place to visit. A good mix of animals, playgrounds and a nice walk around a small wood. Plenty of places to sit down for picnics if you bring your own food or a coffee shop to buy stuff with toys for the kids to play with. Do parties as well which looks nice. Also went back for a nice sunny day in may, great place for the kids to run around and more fun with the big playground/ obstacle course dry.
This place pleasantly surprised me. Doesnt look like much from the outside but inside is very pretty forest walk with lots of animals and flowers. We also got to pet snake, rabbit, tortoise, guinea pig, donkey and a dragon! We also got to feed albino wallabies, really great place.
Excellent .. great place for day with kids ..even met Trump himself
This was our first visit to Wallaby Woods. Its not widely signposted but it is easy to find on Google Maps. Have a care on the roads nearby as they are bog roads and can be quite bumpy in places. Wallaby Woods itself deserves to be much better known than it is as its probably the best attraction in the area for children. We spent over five hours there with my nephews, they particularly enjoyed the bouncy castles and the zip line. The grounds are very well cared for, as are the animals, some of whom you get to hold. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The food in the cafe is reasonably priced and very nice. If youre looking for a place to keep the kids occupied for an afternoon then I would not hesitate to recommend Wallaby Woods, you wont be disappointed.
Very good pet farm with variety of animals. We had a great day there with the kids who absolutely loved it, there was bouncy castle and ziplining as well as live music by kids and to top it all off the weather was splendid too, which made the wallabies happy as they were jumping here and there. Must visit place
Really good place to bring kids. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very good value for food purchased there too! Nice and out of the usual beaten track, so take your time on the roads. Well worth a visit!!
Brilliant. Very friendly staff. Loads of fun for kids. Arrived there at 11.30 left at 4pm. Great day out. Highly recommend. Food reasonable priced or u can bring a picnic loads of beautiful decking and seating area. Plus I got to let a snake ♥️👍
Lovely place to bring the kids. Well worth the entrance fee. We will definitely be back again soon. The animals were lovely.. the assault course was great fun and the cafe is spot on. Staff are friendly and helpful and I am so happy that we went there for the day.
Far more extensive than at first appears. This is an adventure experience that can appeal to all ages. The grounds are laced full of paths and walkways through woodland with numerous open areas where you can see a diverse range of interesting animals and birds or just have a picnic. There is a reptile and insect section and separate well equipped play areas for kids of most ages; including a zip wire for those so inclined. A good spot; well worth the entry fee.
The children loved it. Good range of animals from typical (rabbitsto unusual (snakes). Nice wooded walk- suitable for small children, and good range of playground areas.
Had a wonderful time at Wallaby Woods Donadea where myself, my four year old, along with my sister and her children went to visit Santa. It was absolutely brilliant!!! A great day out, the staff made it a great experience, couldnt recommend it enough, will definitely be back :)
I found this place to be absolutely amazing, I brought my 10 y/o niece here for the day and she loved it! The staff at Wallaby Woods are so nice, coming from someone with social anxiety, that says a lot. I love it here, I think its beautiful. The animals are amazing, the grounds are so well put together and tidy and the food is to die for! I would highly suggest spending a day here, whether you are an adult or you are a kid. It is truly a wonderful place
We really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly. The kids enjoyed petting the animals and playing in the playground. Coffee shop was lovely. Grounds were lovely.
Had my daughters 7 year old birthday party here and it was the best birthday experience for her. She was really well looked after and all her little pals. She got to hold loads of animals and was so happy .
What a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Our boys are 12, 11, and 8. They had a great time and were the last ones out the door at closing time. Holding and petting the animals was a highlight as was the obstacle course and trampoline.
Fun place lots for the kids both big and small to do
Great staff. They were very interactive with the kids. Not LOADS of animals but youd easily spend a good stretch of the day here. Theres a playground and a great obstacle course and the cafe is very reasonable.
We had a great day here with two 8 year olds (a boy and a girl). The staff are so friendly and helpful and deserve a special mention. There was a small playground for little ones and a bigger obstacle course for the older kids which was great fun. The kids had a lovely time holding the animals - rabbits, tortoise, snakes and dragons. We went for a stroll around the woods but there was alot if biting insects and bug spray was needed. We brought a picnic but there are pizza, sandwiches, Ive cream etc for sale in the coffee shop. We will definitely be back again 😀
Amazing place, not only farm animals but exotics like parrots, snakes etc, andPleanty of activities zip, trampoline and picnic area 👍
I realy love this place. Staff are very kind and generous. The kids adventure playground is very well kept and is good fun. I would recommend it for a family day out. One of the best in the area. 👍
We had a fantastic time. The kids loved the adventure course and being able to hold some animals the most. Our eldest daughter got to hold a snake and bearded dragon. She was very excited. We had a picnic and enjoyed our visit.
What a great child friendly place lovely and clean great staff to
Wonderful place for kids.
Well kept animal and fun games park for kids and adults. You can walk around or have a relaxing cuppa and enjoy your kids having fun. They also cater for bus tours and parties, well worth checking out.
Lovely place for a day out with the kids. Playground, places for a picnic, animals and a nice little cafe is all you need. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Much recommended
Great place to spend a few hours with children . Lots to do , lovely grounds . Staff helpful and friendly. Good cafe with freshly prepared sandwiches and good coffee . We were there on an overcast day and still had a good time - in the sun it would be wonderful.
I almost dont want to post about Wallaby Woods. I am tempted to keep it a secret. But the fabulous family who run this amazing place deserve top score. Lots of interesting animals in natural style habitats in a park that is set out into winding paths and secret gardens. Have your own party at one of the many on site BBQ areas which are little gardens in their own right. Theres a grand natural playground and coffee shop and the entrance fee is tiny. A labour of love for this family. Well worth a visit.
Great for families. Able to see a good range of animals and they looked well cared for. Its just the layout and lack of signs could be improved. Its not clear when you arrive where to go.
Amazing day out, wonderful coffee shop, super walks through the woods, great facilities to keep children entertained, playgrounds, obstical course, zipline, lots of animals big and small. Brought a picnic but also had a freshly made Pizza and fab coffee. So worth a visit.
Went there on Sunday with my wife and three children 11,9 and 2 years old. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly member of staff who gave us information on what way to go and what we could do and see, which was great as we have never been there before. The entrance fee was very reasonable €20 for 2 adults and 3 children. There is a small cafe that sells tea and sandwiches, and there is plenty of picnic areas around the place to sit and eat.The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. My kids enjoyed it and we would definitely return again.
Great day for the kids, lots to do and see, pleasant walks, nice cafe, animals, big playground - could easily spend the whole day. Very enjoyable..We all loved it and we had a really nice picnic to boot..
Very enjoyable day out with my 3 children today, aged 3, 5 and 10 months old. Lots of space to run and explore, lovely staff, Ciaran and his brother... cant think of his name, they were just fantastic with the children at all times. Great value for money. Bring a picnic and enjoy. Apart from a few steps here or there, very buggy friendly indeed. Big thumbs up from me.
