Beautiful place to walk & see the views of the Hudson River

Great views and very clean.

Amazing walk. Great scenery. Excellent food and coffee in the area.

Spectacular views, usually a nice breeze, and bathrooms at either end. Benches for resting on the bridge itself. The concrete gets very hot (120+Fso walk dogs early. Enjoy!

I love the convenience and safety of this parking lot. Easy to access and well lit, plus a cop usually drives by during dusk too. Nice parking area whether youre using the bridge or the wooded trail. Currently closes at 5:45.

Great place to walk with amazing views! The trail heads all the way from the bridge to New Paltz. It is very scenic and worth the trip. If you are afraid of heights, stay to the middle... Its really high up.

It is a nice place to take a walk and observe of nature. There is a plus which is a clean bathroom. When you have little kids, you always choose the place that have it.

Walkway Over the Hudson is a must do for anyone in the Hudson Valley. I have taken many guests here. They marvel at the sweeping views, the height above the water and the neatness of the park overall. The newly completed visitor centers are wonderful. Parking is good on both sides - Highland and Poughkeepsie. I will never tire of visiting here.

Enjoy a stroll or bike ride across the Hudson River. Beautiful views up and down the river.

Ill admit I am not an avid outdoors person but for the sake of exercising and taking in nice scenery I do very much recommend this destination!!!

The best!

A lot of parking on both sides. great in the warmer months for a bike ride, run, or walk. Great in the fall to see the leafs change. Great at night for star gazing when theyre open. Its key to the longer bike rides I like to do from hopewell to new paltz, and now the river to ridge trail. A great reuse of aging infrastructure. Hope to see more of these projects going forward.

Lovely experience during every season. Dress for the weather. During the summer it can becone quite hot and crowded, also dont forget sunscreen and water as its a longer walk then it seems. During winter the windchill can be bracingly cold. The recent facility improvements at either end are impressive compared to the previous state. I enjoy eating from the local food trucks parked there as well. Dont drop your phone or anything over the railing. Pro tip: stay to your right as you walk, and if youre going to bicycle please dont act like its the last section of the Tour de France. Enjoy!

Loved walking over the Walkway Over The Hudson except for the dog owners not cleaning up properly after their dogs which is very disgusting too people walking over the Walkway

What a great walk on a beautiful day, they really did a wonderful job fixing the bridge and the park settings on both sides.

Awesome bridge to run, walk, or take in the view of the Hudson. If you start from one parling lot and go to the parking lot across the bridge, that about 1.6 miles, so running to and from will get you a nice 3.2 mile run in. Not too crowded and incline was not too extreme. There is also an elevator on the Poughkeepsie side that takes you down to a parkand childrens museum. Highly recommend for a visit.

Free and ample parking. Couldnt complain - for once you can see your state taxes at work! Restroom and drinking water, plus some vendors at the beginning of the walkway.

Very pretty and relaxing. Ride the elevator to the bottom. Cool views from there.

Was picefull

Senic park over the hudson river. Clean and well maintained. Tranquil and beautiful. However i think there should be some scooter service because the the walk is quite long especially for the elderly but otherwise great use of existing infrastructure. Worth a trip. View is great.

Absolutely beautiful!!!

I parked at the haviland west trail parking. It was gravel and had plenty of parking. It was free and just a minute walk to the Walkway over the Hudson entrance (with restrooms). If youre coming from Poughkeepsie keep in mind that theres a 1.50 toll to return via the mid Hudson bridge.

Plenty of parking. Plentiful information, signs, and brochures. Well marked trails. Well paved. Very scenic.
