Great beach but nothing there i have seen four wheel drive vehicles behind the beach but i went by boat
Getting to this place is not for the feint hearted and requires some level of motorcycle skills and bravery. I would not recommend attempting the drive if you’ve hired a 125cc bike with thin wheels. The main access to the trail has a warning that the road ahead is unsafe and to proceed with caution, which proved an understatement. The road starts with a little tarmac but this quickly starts to disintegrated left with gravels and deep channels when and re 4x4’s have driven when wet.It takes a lot of patience and judgement to navigate as safely as you can. At some points your back wheel is skating as you decent nearly vertical and you have to concentrate hard and pump the front brakes. This trail is about 2k long before you turn off onto another sand track leading to the beach. This is better but still hairy in places and not particularly safe or enjoyable. However, once you reach the beach you really are in paradise, there were a few hardy individuals and a couple of Thai fishing, but other than that you’re alone on an amazing beach. It’s hard to say it’s worth the journey because of the risks getting there, but the payoff is pretty cool and you will be treated to some breathtaking scenery (with the obligatory plastic and COVID detritus strewn around the place.
First of all its a private beach. In normal times you have to pay an entrance fee. As other said already, the best way to go is by boat. We used the road and were lucky that we didnt crash the motorbike. I can not recommend to go there by motorbike or normal car. For off-road vehicles this might be a fun thing. The beach itself is not that outstanding and as there is nothing, no food or restrooms I know better and as beautiful beaches with are easier to access. My conclusion: A beach for adventures people. And be prepared to not be alone. When we came there a handful of others were there as well 3 boats and a few motorbikes.
I rode in on a rental Honda Click and I would NOT recommend this unless you have some pretty good riding skills and NEVER EVER with a rider on the back. If you know what you are doing and take slow, you will probably be OK, but this is not a location where you want to have an accident.
beach is not bad, but road pretty dangerous! we drove scooter, but better don’t do the same mistake! better take a boat or car 4x4!
Wai Chaek Beach is probably the most scenic and picturesque beach on Koh Chang. Its location can be found easily on Google Maps, its only accessable by a unmaintained, very rugged rough road, I would recommend using a 4x4 or motorbike capable as the road is steep and dangerous in spots, its not recommended for novice motorbike riders. If you go there you should bring water, food and anything else you may need as there are no shops, no restaurants and no restrooms, other than that it is a gorgeous beach well worth a visit.
Hidden gem, deserted other than some local guys doing some work. The road is a bit of a challenge, can be done on scooter but you have to have some riding experience. Well worth it once you arrive.
We have driven from Chiangmai to Koh Chang so we have a truck with 4WD with us. And you need it.. road is awesome for adventure riding, but not recommend in a normal car. Scooter should be able to do it too.. :-sweet spot. A bit of plastic yes.. cleared some, but its probably stuff drifting ashore so will be more for the next visitor to collect.
Beautiful Beach, a bit dangerous road, if you go with automatic scooter and your 2 people better drive slowly
Top location hidden beach I recommend the place worth it nice beach nice place to swim and mango"s in the trees
Definitely the best hidden gem of Koh Chang. A lovely remote beach that has only a few other sun tanners. Getting there is not exactly a walk in the park - its an adventure ;)
Watch out for falling coconuts
Im very surprised by the rating on this beach... theres no chance I would spend a day here. Yes nice sand and secluded but the garbage is insane. It makes it very uncomfortable. The ride there was dangerous but fun if you are experienced.
Beautiful beach, but lots of garbage. Quite sad to see tbh. The road to the beach is in a terrible state. Be aware!
The road is very damaged and dangerous. If you are not good at motorbike, please go there by bike of kayak there. It’s the best beach in Koh Chang with cleanest water and few people. You can do nude sunbathing there.
Very difficult road, a lot of litter.
Went here by kayak from Klong Kloi. Took me about 40 mins.Beach is pretty nice. Very calm and chilly. There is some plastic garbage here and there, but nothing too bad.Snorkeling is really good here. If you go here - definitely get your mask. Corals, fishes, weird thingys. Nothing too crazy, but it looks like its best you can get on this island. Is it worth visiting? If you have spare time - yes.If you dont - better get some boat trip to small islands around Chang. Underwater life is better there.
Google maps will show you how to get here and it is well worth the effort, even if you are staying on the other side of the island. The road was not as treacherous as I had read, however some reasonably good scooter skills are involved. Wai not Chaek out this beach before the road is fixed and the beach gets busy and ruined. The afternoon spent here was our best beach time on Koh Chang hands down.
Nice quiet beach with exciting road.
Very nice beach. Everybody here cries.. so much plastic... if everybody collect only 10 pieces - only 10! The beach will clean in 2 weeks. Complaining not solve the problem. Just Do it!I came with a seakajak from the Pier to the beach. Around 1h paddling. According Google maps 4.7km - each. Do it only when the sea is quit and use life best during the trip. Directly way u are particularly more than 1km far from the coast. Please like it, if could go with this comment
This is a nudist beach at Koh Chang. This is a secret heaven for People who likes skinny dipping and fully nude sunbathing.
Mangrove pound behind the beach. Beautiful.
Watch out for the road, is possible to go by scooter or motorbike, but you have to be an average driver at least. It is really an adventure (that I enjoyed), but is not for everyone. Going by kayak from the nearest beach bang bao seems for me the best option, because is not (NOTpossible come back from here to the West side of the island (I have tried, crossed a broken brigde but is not possible going to much far from there). I think you can plan to stay a night by tent, but remember you are in the nothing, you have to keep with you everything you need.
Lonely beach. Little bit hard to find but totally worth it.
Difficult to get to but worth the trek for your own private beach.
Amazing place and adventure way to get there.
A bit hard to get there but beautiful, calm and really lonely
Went there alone by kayak from Klong Kloi beach and it was absolutely great. Great feeling to find an empty beach after peddling along the coastline cliffs for about an hour. I didn’t see a single soul when I was there. It’s also a nice adventure to go up river at the far end of the beach. Great jungly scenery there! On the way back you can take your kayak to the beach near the deserted hotel boat and have a swim or look at the boat houses. Also a very beautiful and quiet place.
Easily the best and probably the most remote beach on Koh Chang Island. You will need a scooter or an adventure bike to get to the beach but be careful as there is a lot of loose rubble on some of the steep inclines and declines. Take plenty of water and some food and you can pretty much stay there for most of the day with out seeing another soul.Loved riding there and loved the beach , well worth the effort !!!
Nice beach remote beach with good swimming. We kayaked from bang bao beach which took a little over 1hr, arrived around 10am and were the only ones on the beach. Quite a few people arrived on scooters not long after but there was plenty of space for all. No facilities (other than coconut sellerso bring your own food and water.
Bad road but no problem with scooter or motobike; peacefull, lonely beach; clear water and many coconut palm trees; bring your food and drinks; during our stay the beach was quite clean;
45-50 min kayak from khlong kloi. It’s quiet and pretty. A lot of plastic washes up on the beach but still very beautiful and worth the paddle. Bring sunblock and water. Enjoy!
The best beach I have seen in the area! Just like a dream
Local beach which is quiet and not easy to reach. Unfortunately lots of rubbish on the beach and no trash cans. Still a nice beach.
Lovely small beach cut from the world..with small lagoon and river behindYou can access it by kayak if you are in good condition..you can rent some for the day in Klong koi beach for about 500 thb..or hire a private boat from bang pao pier... I don’t know about the price but probably depends on how many people you are...The other possibility is to go around the island to sala phet and get the dirt road who arrive to the beach... but it’s not a easy way...better with dirt bike as simple scooter...
Lonely place but difficult to find it
Hiding Paradise
There is no normal road here, only path through the forest, but the place is great: sandy beach and coconut palms, almost no tourists.
Unseen...
Beautiful beach. May be reached by boat or motorbike. Be careful: very bad and dangerous road.
Probably the best beach on the island, completely desolate. Pretty difficult to get to, but worth a visit.
Beautiful lonely beach, easy to reach by kajak very difficult by motorbike
Dont go there with a scooter. Its insanity. Walk there If you want to go.
As others wrote it is a very nice remote and beautiful beach, almost no other people especially during off season. The road is very dangerous, unless you are good with motobike then you can try. After rain season you may need to cross small river on your motobike.
Beautiful completely Remote Beach, the Road there is an adventure in its self. Drive VERY slow and carefully or you will pay the price(talking of experience unfortunately).. A guy we met on the way there just cleared the hole beach of garbage so a Big thank you to him!!
Hard to reach place. The beach is very secluded and lays in a beautiful bay. You can either take an adventures path with a scooter if a are a good driver or you can go by kayak. You can rent for 100B/h at Klong Kloi Cottages (friendly staff). Be prepared for 45min of paddling to reach the bay from there. Take enough water with you. Unfortunately the beach will not be cleaned so theres quite some garbage. But this is also a lesson to learn.., to much man made pollution of the sea!
Road to beach is real adventure, but possible on bike. Beach is beautiful with few people there.
Quiet beach in a secluded place
Lonely Beach as the name , it is quite really quiet. very good place.
