Wagga Wagga Beach Caravan Park - in Wagga Wagga, Australia
I understand the park is shutting down but if they insit on charging a premium price i would at least expect the amenities to be cleaned and toilet paper supplied.Very dirty .Poor management
Website says Sunday office hours were 4 pm. Called at 330 and got a voicemail. Saw there was online booking available so we made a booking. Nothing coming up saying we were after hours or that it wasn’t possible. Asked for arrival time and everything. Even got a confirmation email back. Showed up to find an empty office and no way to get in. No number to call or anything. Terrible way to run a business. Not a good end to a long day of traveling.
Gosh definitely need upgrading, basic and old.. they need a fish and chip shop or pizza shop along the river, upgrade the kids play ground.. the council should take a leaf out of Bright Victoria river walk park area.. Wagga should get with the times.
Disgusting park. No upkeep. Bins not emptied and overflowing and located right next to the bbq. As for the bbq, ughhhhh. Toilet block not cleaned. No grass mowed. Only thing the park offers is power. Do yourself a favour and drive straight on by 🤬
Because got charged $41For the night for powered siteThe showers didn’t workFreezing coldFeel we deserve some of our money back.
Disgusting and dirty accommodation. It is overpriced and really run down. The place felt unsafe and I would not recommend staying here. Perhaps if you have your own caravan, it might be ok. The staff are nice but the grounds and accommodation are gross.
Amenities were very dirty ,didnt looked to be cleaned very often. Mop for doing showers was black and falling to bits. Would not recommend.
Nice park though it will be closing soon Ive been told. I was in a cabin which was comfortable with en suite and kitchen.
This park is disgustingly maintained & over priced. The amenities block looked like it hadnt been cleaned in ages. Old is one thing but dirty & damaged is another. The bbq looked like it hadnt been cleaned in ages either. The grounds were unkepted, the whole place needs a lot of work. Id looked at the photos on their web site and it looked lovely & the position was good. My mistake. So disappointed. Should have stayed at the free camp just north of town & saved my money. The BEACH is separate to the caravan park & can be accessed directly. It would be nice on a warm day. It is well looked after by the council.
Very dusty & dirty & old caravan park. No toilet paper in toilets on the last day. Have stayed in alot better. Too expensive
If you are thinking of staying here... dont! Rundown, tatty and unpleasant. Only redeeming feature is that it is close to town, but even that fact would not persuade me to stay again.
Was disappointed very run down stayed there many years ago snd it was beautiful The staff were friendly on arrival. Thought it was over priced.Same price as big 4 but nowhere as nice a setting
Stayed at the park for 2 nights and wasnt impressed. The park was run down emenities were dirty. Would not recommend.staying here.
First of all, 10/10 for location. Beautiful along the river and close to shops. Be careful when you drive in though. We almost crashed into a buggy being driven by a 10 year old with two passengers no older than 7. They were hooning around the campsite collecting empty alcohol bottles from the cabins. Unfortunately the wifi does not work at all, anytime of the day or night. There’s also no lock on the bathroom door and the biscuits were stale. Petty, I know, but I like a biscuit with my coffee. The nastiest surprise though were the dead ants in the fridge. Tiny ants scattered around, and one big pile. I have pictures. I would give cleanliness a 4/10. Maybe. I cleaned while I was there. Couldn’t help it. I’m a hospital environmental auditor.
Good place to stay, there is laundry room with coin operated washing machines and driyer, nice cabins, you can also stay in camping area
Spacious cabin & pretty good owner (lovely family). Please support them if youre in town. Pretty good spot for some caravan action :3
Staff was cheerful. Amenities were disgusting. Looked like it had not been cleaned since Christmas 2018 it is now January 10 2019.Needed to be knocked down and rebuilt. General maintenance was non existent. At $40 for a powered site nothing for your money
Mens amenities had used toilet paper through it, and out the door. Baby bath was dirty with spiders and other insects living in it, toilets sprayed water when flushed. Used pads in womens block. Washing machine did not wash properly. Such a great location it was a pitty the park was not well maintained.
Best place and best staff , this place is beautiful , there is a photo of the spa and The big bed but the decorations were my own , this place is beautiful good owners good staff good cleaners its just 💯 percent terrific , weather you are going on your own or with your girlfriend or boyfriend , wife or husband , even with your friends, family and kids , it is an all-round absolutely brilliant place , I stayed there for three months and it felt like I was home due to how nice everyone is, theres plenty of BBQs free to use and its right on the beach , some cabins have water views , I would give this place a ten out of ten its magnificent and I loved every second of being there , I would highly recommend this place rather than other ones in Wagga Wagga because its an all-round beauty !!!!
Very nice place but the camper trailer area where we were placed was on an island type set up with high cement curb and rounded grass area. Flatter powered sites closer to the river wouldve been nicer
Stayed two days you would hope to have a shower 1st day just enough pressure to be able to have a wash 2nd day just a trickle not enough to shower left park feeling very dissapointed
Stayed for 2 nights with 2 small children, nice place to stay, clean and tidy, comfortable bed and very quiet at night and close to town.
Very scenic for such a central location. Sightseeing and shops in easy walking distance. Good facilities. Friendly staff. Simple to organise after hours check-in when travelling. Very pleased to have had a stopover there and would definitely stay there again.
Love this caravan park. good staff, good location. Heard its closing down October 19, hope not its where we always stay when visiting Wagga. Best caravan park in Wagga.
Cute place by the river, all amenities around
Is it really a beach? I mean, its fine, but its basically a seasonal sand bar in the river. "Beach" is a bit of a stretch.
Great location. Nice informal Park with nice amenities. Good running/ walking track on doorstep and close to town
Worth a stay. Great welcome and very clean cabin. Will stop there again
Really comfortable bed, really kind man at book in. Lovely view of the water. Would recommend to everyone
Lovely old fashioned camp ground. Close to river and beach . Simple facilities but they work.
Nice park beautiful located at the river and within easy walking distance of the village.
Any service was slow. Room was dusty. We shortened or stay and continued on to Albury where we had a most pleasant 5 days.
Great place right on the bank of the river. The toilet block was clean and the bloke was very friendly. $25 a night for two people unpowered was fair and it was pretty quiet considering we were there over the weekend. We didnt use the camp kitchen but it was well set up and clean as well.
Stayed here for 4 days, had a great time, amenities clean, park kept nice and tidy by owners, was given drive thru site, would stay again
Nice location on the river. But the facilities could be a lot cleaner. The old mats in the showers need replacing as they are falling apart. The shower block is nice and roomy but needs better cleaning.
Great place to stay after a long journey. My wife asked to change cabins and it wasn’t a problem. Amenities and park really nice !! We loved it, thanks!!
Need to update their website with their accomodation. Steps to the cabins are not suitable for younger children. The details we booked were different to the details the caravan park had
Park has a great view of the river and parklands. It has wildlife for folk to enjoy with care, possums, a wallaby and ducks. Van and motor home sites well-provisioned but could do with a more frequent mow. It had a small childrens park with play equipment and was right next to a bigger play area near Wagga Wagga Beach. The toilet dump for vans was reasonably accessible. The roads throughout the park were narrow and at times a little difficult to negotiate in the campervan. The units my mother stayed in was basic but did the job. The cleaners could do a better job cleaning the sink area in her unit as it had a build up at the tap base. We accessed the disabled shower/toilet there. It could have been kept a bit cleaner too, having leaves that came in under the door and a good amount of cobwebs in the door that could have been kept cleaner and tidier. There was a rubber mat provided but no bath mats. There was one shower chair that could have been cleaned better or more frequently too. Luckily I took my own to use. As they give a key on request to people who need this facility they know when the cleanliness of this area needs more attention before and after use. It was useable but could be better. The power of the water coming from the shower head was a little weak. It wasnt as good as the one in Junees csravan park. Within walking distance to shops and churches. Wheelchair accessible.
A bit dated but facilities are clean. Set in an outstanding setting by the river.
2.5/5 Positive: wifi, close to river and CBD, ok toilets, cost ok, demountables available, kids play area near.Negative: Dodgey fence. Anyone can walk in from the river. I wouldnt leave belongings around. Grounds not bad but not great, noisey mornings, no kitchen area, there is a council bbq area next to the river but its not looked after. There are two parks in Wagga. This is by far the better one but its still on the average side of things.
Friendly staff and clean park. Amenities are a but dated but there is nothing like a hot shower when you are tired and have been driving all day. Close to the beach and still fun for kids.
I liked the wildlife best. I thought the budget cabin were ok but i would have liked to see a dvd player in them. Loved the free wifi!
Best location possible on the banks of the river with the beach next door. Clean and tidy but park is in need of a major make-over.
Lovely grass areas for our van, very clean amenities Close walk to town.
Right next to beautiful Wagga beach on the Murrumbidgee River
Great location. Second time at the park. Service was fantastic, and it is an excellent outlook over the river. Cabins are nice, but water pressure could be better.
What a shitful experience and that was just in the office I didnt even get to stay.Comes up under pet friendly I had travelled here only to be told even if I was to leave my little dacshund in the car I couldnt book into a cabin even knowing Id travelled , he had a his own bed etc. and no I wouldnt even think to leave him in the car seriously he is cleaner than a hell of a lot of people out there. So no I wouldnt recommend
i have used this park several times before but unfortunately this time i tried to book a cabin for a weekend retreat of drawing and art with friend visiting. I was rudely told "we dont allow parting hear just so you know" And i replied and said thats fine i just a have 3 kids im over the partying i just have a friend coming down and its a beautiful spot and we want to spend the weekend drawing" his reply "well it always starts off that way but when you locals come here thats all use do is just party" i told him again i had no interest in that and have often stayed there with my family and by myself not everyone is into partying and alcohol. he kept right on going and in the end i told him ill go elsewhere. I emailed him after and didnt even receive an apology. its a real shame a beautiful spot is tarnished with someone so narrow minded and and has a bad attitude about the locals. Perhaps a small minority has spoiled it for some but there no need to be so rude not everyone falls into this stereotype.. so to the star rating above, i love the place just not being treated this way especially when i have been here several times previously and supported the place.
We found our experience in the cabins at the park to be disgusting, filthy towels left in shower recess, both bins full of rubbish bedspread thrown on floor, and floors dirty. Would not recommend this service at all. Caretakers we not friendly and did not care at all, have been going there for 3 years, the other people that worked there before were lovely, would NEVER use this park again.
Nice park, unfortunately not much gras there. Location next to the fresh water river is great. Amenities are clean and staff was friendly. Not far from shops and woolworth.
