Waffle House in Texas City

We had excellent service; came here for breakfast for dinner. The eggs, sausage, waffles, and hash browns were all cooked exactly how I wanted.

Sat in the place for over 10 minutes and couldnt get any service. So we got up and left. Always the same here. Other waffle houses are a million times better.

The food is good but like most waffle houses, the place could be better kept.

This a diamond in the rough. If you only just by outside appears youll never know that the best biscuit and gravy cook alive works here lol.

I visit this location often because i can play music. I order breakfast and jam and get my thoughts together. Most times service is good!

Was very busy but amazing service! I didnt catch her name but our waitress (with cute black & red braidswas so kind & handled the rush flawlessly! Food was also delicious.

Service was good. But my eggs were not cooked all the way and it seemed like an unsafe working station behind the counter sure to water on the floor but everyone was nice..

Wasnt that busy and I had to go to the register counter twice to ask for a spoon. 2 waitresses were confused with our orders. Otherwise, great food as always. The All-Star is highly recommended for lil bit of everything. You want a great burger? Get the Angus bacon burger with hash browns, cooked the way you like it!

Great waffles and breakfasts. I dont eat anything else here. Good service.

It was good food. They didnt have google pay. Everything else was good.

Great service, friendly staff. Meals are served quickly and correctly. Prices are fair and very reasonable.

Horrible experience! Never got waited on after we sat there for 15 minutes. 2 waitresses walked by us and never spoke to us. One waitress looked at us and walked by 3 times without a word to us. They had 1 cook and 4 waitresses so the were not understaffed. We left and went to Dennys where the service was much better.

The restaurant was empty the waitress wasn’t very friendly the cook was and burnt my hash brown

**Horrible service** time after time.Tried different times to see if service would be different. No difference. 30 minutes to place an order and the place is dead..Unbelievable!!

This place is ridiculous. Got one girl working who is rude, the cooked is messed up on something, I had to get rude to get the girl to go get the cook wherever he was while people are sitting here waiting. This place is dirty, stuff all over floors, tables that hadnt been clean. Owner needs to come do something about this.

Waitresss so busy with personal gossip that they were not focused on the job forgetting requested order items.

Grits were cold n lumpy. They only apologized.. this waffle house has good cooks normally but today was not that day

From the moment we arrived every staff member made sure we were well taken care of.Done with a smile! You guys are so beautiful/wonderful . Thank you for the experience. So glad we stopped by. Worth every penny.

Absolutely never a time of the day you can’t stop by here, and they have wonderful staff!

I had a pecan waffle and hasbrowns and it was great! My friend had the hasbrown bowl with bacon and he thought it was okay, couldve been better! Will return!

Even for a Waffle House, this place is dirty and the service is extremely bad. Low expectations now lowered.

No complaints. This location has become like a safe haven to me tbh late nights when I have insomnia or just really hungry Waffle house will always be #1 spot for me ☺️

Quick, clean and consistent both times. The food and service are great. I wish we had one in either of the places I’ve lived recently so stopping in was a great time.

Carrisa hurried over to clean our table, so that we could sit in our booth, and was very friendly and with the busboy, our service was great. the waffle was delicious and the grits were good too. This was actually my first trip to a Waffle House location, and the friendliness and good food will definitely bring me back...

Came in on a Tuesday night, waited 5 minutes... No one asked what we wanted to drink. Laziest employees Ive ever seen. Tables were dirty, all customers were upset. Replace staff highly recommended

Service was fzirly good altho firty dishes on all tables also on the counter , if someone came in they could not be seated because all tables were dirty .bad really bad !

The food was good and the service was great. I was so pleased with Vivian that she got a good tip. She worked with a smile and her suggested choice on the menu was an excellent one. It is now my new favorite.

Usually pretty good in taste but they wont answer the phone so we have to go to make an order to go and the last time I got home to no syrup for the pancakes and you cant call to complain because they wont answer the phone. We tip well even for to go orders so its there loss for sure.

as i don’t leave reviews much, this one called for a review. last night 01-21 we went in for dinner. as our waiter (austinwas running 5-6 tables at a time and was doing an awesome job at it with no help what so ever! while we were there, there was only 3 workers. the cook, which did a great job, austin and a lady. while eating a customer caused a scene that was very uncalled for. while Austin handled it very well, the lady worker was yelling at austin in front of the whole restaurant. For the hour and a half we were there, she did not do one thing at all. Our waiter was doing EVERY THING. so as i rate this with one star because the lady was very unprofessional and didn’t seem to be doing her job, i do want to add in that i would rate austin 5 stars!!!

4. 4. The staff and quality of the cooking at this facility has improved dramatically. We thought That we would give this facility one more try Im more try. We were glad that we did the waitress and cook were excellent and we really like the food which fish prepared exactly correctly.

We were greeted promptly, seated, and had coffee within one minute. Our order came out in under 5 minutes, and it was perfect and delicious. Staff was friendly and courteous. We had gone to the competition first, but after 6 minutes of being ignored, we left and came here. Like night and day.

I love Waffle House! Several of this crew wear wearing shirts with "Million Dollar Club" on back so they must do a lot of business. They were very friendly and were obviously a tight knit crew. Its great watching my food being prepared right in front of me. My scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, along with a Diet Coke were perfect for my low carb diet. Highly recommended!

Stopped in Thursday, October 7th, in the evening with my son. I had the All Star Special. Son had Sausage, Egg and Cheese Hash brown Bowl. I don’t know what the cook did to the hash browns, but she made the best I’ve had in a while. Young man serving was great to.

My mother, daughter and I stopped here on our way back to San Antonio. As soon as we walked in, the entire staff welcomed us in. Clayton was our waiter and he was very kind and attentive. The food was delicious! We ordered hash browns, a bacon, egg and cheese melt as well as a classic waffle. Prices were also very low. All on all, fantastic visit

The waitress was fine first of all ..but my waffle was burnt and I had eggshell in my scrambled eggs.I dont send food back so I didnt say anything then plus I didnt want anyone to get reprimanded.I believe they were moving too fast this day..

Perfect place for a 1am spur of the moment quick dinner stop or for any meal, at any time of day kinda place. Food was perfect, pleasant and clean atmosphere, everyone masked-up..felt safe enough to come inside and sit down to eat.Our server Ashley was a very friendly and attentive waitress that gave us great service..

Horrible service, I went there with my Family not only to not being greeted or be offered a seat anywhere and when we finally sat down only to be ignored and waited about 15-20 mins and nobody came to our table to assist us so we decided to leave and a have a better service provided to us on the Ihop right next to it! Best decision i ever made! This was my first and last experience in a Waffle House! Never again!! Especially in this location with their rude staff!! I would give it negative zero stars if I could! Avoid this location people.

This is the busiest Waffle House Ive eaten at. We always go out of our way to find a Waffle House and its well worth the wait. But this place was hopping and it was fun watching everyone hustling. It was like watching a well oiled machine! Id recommend this place but you have to be patient.

My husband and I had a horrible experience. He called to inform a meal was missing from the order. The meals that were brought home were not fully cooked. We called to inform and the woman who answered was disrespectful thinking it was funny to have my husband repeat his name acting like she was not able to hear. Obviously she knows he is a man cause she says sir at the beginning but then ask him if he his name is a females while having him repeat his name. When I ask to speak to a manager she hands the phone to a man whom then laughs when I ask for his name. This was a horrible immature experience.

Really sucks not having one in San Antonio. This place is very good friendly people good service. Didnt wait LNG for food and place was packed.

No gravy! They didnt have gravy... nor would they make any. It was 8pm... not 4am.

Love this Waffle House. Very friendly staff and quick service. Breakfast was fantastic this morning. The family loved it.

Food was good. But our waitress was constantly on her phone. Would have been nice if she would have offered to refill our drink more frequently. I also wanted desert, but she gave us our bill with our food.

Give it a 4 just cuz it wasnt as clean and table werent cleaned off when we got there. But this was way better than the waffle house in Galveston. My server was Ash. I did #TIPTHEBILLCHALLENGE she was the 1 who got on top of everything and cleaned the section to accommodate us. There was a NEW girl a server who apparently doesnt know about TEAM effort and shes just there for her lil pay check. She was very rude. Didnt get her name. But management could have a little talk about team effort when working together. She couldve helped out her partners tip as well as her own. Who knows I wouldve tipped her just for helping out my driver who tends to be needy,hes an older gentleman. So maybe next time as a server..work on being kind,itll get you somewhere. I know i used to serve.

This place is gross, slow, and very disorganized!! No straws to drink from, food and mess all over the floor and humid, .. The service is super slow and order took too long, and it was wrong, so had to wait another 15 minutes for them to get it right, and to top it off roaches were coming out from the walls. Worst WH Ive ever been to.

Service was horrible. The guy waiting on us was literally on his phone the entire time, including when he was taking our order. Where we were sitting we could see behind the bar area and it was filthy. Our drinks were constantly empty our food came out at all separate times and the guy forgot to call our order for the first 20 minutes we were there. While we were there three other ( the only other)customers got up and left because they were so unsatisfied with the service that they have received. The cook was great the food was good ,it really was just the guy waiting on us that was the problem. And also the fact that it was pretty damn dirty.
